  1. Hey guys, wow I haven't been around for a while. Good to see the Football League supporters are still here though. Put me down for my beloved Foxes now down in League 1. Funnily enough this is the most excited I have been at the start of a football season since we last were promoted to the Premier League. Strange huh? Anyhow, bearing in mind it kicks off this Saturday i'm gonna throw some predictions in for the season.

    Championship

    1. Birmingham City

    2. Crystal Palace

    3. Derby County

    4. Swansea City

    5. Reading

    6. Sheffield United

    7. Queens Park Rangers

    8. Ipswich Town

    9. Nottingham Forest

    10. Norwich City

    11. Wolverhampton Wanderers

    12. Charlton Athletic

    13. Cardiff City

    14. Watford

    15. Coventry City

    16. Preston North End

    17. Burnley

    18. Plymouth Argyle

    19. Bristol City

    20. Sheffield Wednesday

    21. Doncaster Rovers

    22. Barnsley

    23. Southampton

    24. Blackpool

Some bold predictions, Southampton are going to struggle this year beyond belief. The cash is pretty much non-existant and they have a very small squad to play with in a league now that is much more competetive than the year before. Bristol City also I feel will have "second-season" syndrome and find this year much more tricky, although they will survive. Watford I feel will continue their slippery slope alongside Charlton, although they will have a stable mid-table season. I truly expect Nottingham Forest and Swansea to flourish this year, both sides have made inspired signings. Swansea making the playoffs is rather bold - yes but they have got goals in the bag.

    League One

    1. Leeds United

    2. Scunthorpe United

    3. Leicester City

    4. Peterborough United

    5. Carlisle United

    6. Milton Keynes Dons

    7. Southend United

    8. Colchester United

    9. Brighton and Hove Albion

    10. Oldham Athletic

    11. Millwall

    12. Huddersfield Town

    13. Tranmere Rovers

    14. Bristol Rovers

    15. Northampton Town

    16. Crewe Alexandra

    17. Walsall

    18. Leyton Orient

    19. Swindon Town

    20. Hartlepool United

    21. Yeovil Town

    22. Stockport County

    23. Hereford United

    24. Cheltenham Town

I really fancy Peterborough and MK Dons to cause a stir this year in League 1, that's why I was so gutted we've gotta play the later on the opening day of the season at home.

Meh, tired, i'll do League Two later. :P

  2. I worked Gatecrasher as a steward in the Campsite K, the organisation was terrible. We were barely told fuck all either, some bloke also died on the sat night in the Cement tent. Glad I could head back to Oxford after my nightshift and jump in bed, the weather was also shite.

  3. Well the whole Crouch vs. Heskey debate has been settled in the right view that Heskey is the better man for that position. Crouch is too lanky for his own good and doesn't have Heskey's accuracy in the air, he at least gets it somewhere near where he intends. I've always hoped for a day when an England team would play with passion and here we are. I totally agree that Gerrard and Barry are the best midfield combination at the moment, although I can guarantee Lampard will be shoved back in instead of Barry in the future sadly. Rooney will also come straight back in, but lets be honest, i'd prefer Heskey up front. There is no doubting Rooney's ability but Heskey and Owen do have a great chemistry together - and it's been proven the last couple of games. Rooney is such a swine because he's not an out and out striker, but he behaves like one.

  4. Woooo! We got a player of Benfica on loan. Ferreira, left winger. Played for Porto during their Uefa Cup Winning Year :o

WTF is going on? Have I smoked far too much weed or something. Players having heartattacks, managers getting fired and signing a Uefa Cup winning Player.

  5. More news today:

Nicky Shorey -> West Ham if the Hammers raise their bid another £1 Million to a £6 Million fee.

Still loads of Ronalidinhio rumours about Chelsea - although I can't see it myself.

Fulham want Jason Roberts from Blackburn and have made an offer of £4 Million.

Man City want Tiago Motta and Thomas Graveson from Barca and Celtic respectivly.

Now this is funny - 'Boro are to offer £10.5 Million for Man City's Samaras - bwahaha. He's never worth that. Morons.

Sunderland now want Kenwyne Jones from Southampton, i'd except that to go through if Hampton had any sense.

Nicholas Anelka to one of the Manchester teams, City or Utd.

Man City tempted with £12 Million bid for Adriano - who is also linked with Middlesbrough

Julio Baptista another mentioned with Man City

Peter Luccin to go to Birmingham from Athletico Madrid

Exciting stuff, would like to see Adriano and Tiago Motta at Man City. Middlesbrough are conning themselves if they pay 10.5 for Samaras, he's never worth that let alone even half of that! Southampton should sell up Jones for 5 Million, he's never worth that much.

  6. Even funnier Nugent looks set to leave Pompy already! Lol. Well to be fair if Harry can make his money back on him then i'd take it - he doesn't look worth it at the moment, although of course we haven't seen much of him so far. He is being linked with Derby btw.

Also, Adriano turns down West Ham loan move but Man City are still hovering ready to make a move.

  7. Clive Clarke's news wasn't good at all. He collapsed in the dressing room so 6 ambulance crews ran in. Apparently they had to use a defibrilator (i'm not exactly sure what that is, something to do with his heart perhaps) but got him up and off to hospital. Apparently at the hospital he's alert but not talking much.

    :(

    Get well soon Clive.
