Started a new game as Leinster. Original character was 71 when it started, so he died fairly quickly. Second character had a pretty long reign, until he died tragically when a balcony he was standing on collapsed. Pretty sure his wife orchestrated his murder.
Edit: Then my third character, who was 15, was pushed off a ledge by his regent, who also happened to be Chancellor.

After trying out the Game of Thrones mod, I legit have no idea what I was doing.

I finally try to play the Game of Thrones mod, and it crashes on startup because the mod isn't compatible with the new patch. Awesome.

It is pretty terrifying when you first play it.

England's been in a constant state of war for something like 30-40 years in my game.
Which is fun, because my daughter was married to the Duke of Northumberland until he was killed. Now she's regent for their son.

Really? They refused you?
The majority of them accepted to become my vassal. The only place that put up a fight was Dublin, the foolish bastards.
Also, I removed almost all of my vassals and replaced them with family members. One family to rule Ireland!
Although, for some reason, can't get the county in the bottom. I can't revoke the land claim :/
Tyrone eventually accepted the inevitability of my reign, so that left just Connaught. Although shortly after I had to fight a civil war against the county in the to left corner that starts with a T. Can't remember the name. Squashed him like a bug, and just as that war was ending, fucking Scotland attacks me over an Earl's claim on Ulster. They attacked with almost 5,000 men. I didn't have a chance.
EDIT: Did revoking everyone's titles not piss off everyone?

So now that I'm king of Ireland, shouldn't I have a casus belli on the parts of Ireland that refuse to accept my generous offer of vassalization? So far only Tyrone and Connaught have refused. Sorry, TEOL.

After taking Kildare and Dublin, Duke Brian is now King Brian I of Ireland.

You guys make this sound like the most amazing game ever.
Shame that I'm so hopeless, it'll probably be like when I bought Silent Hunter, got confused and put it away and haven't played it since.
Which Silent Hunter? 5 is hopelessly broken, but 3 with the GWX mod is great.

The religion stuff is interesting, but it's really just another way to tailor your civilization to suit the style you want to play, much like the social policies. I've been playing a game on a large random map as Russia, and so far my only complaint is that it still feels like doing stuff takes way too long.

I bought the pre-order last night. Installing now. Will report on what I think after I've played a bit.

Is there a Mike Singletary in baseball? Because he retired with a dislocated ankle in my RttS a few seasons ago.
Running out of steam with my RttS. It's 2021, I missed 3 months with a broken arm, came back for the playoffs as a reliever. Had some close calls, got to the ALDS against the Yanks and kept getting put in in boring blowouts. I've no drive to play when we're down 10-0 in the 7th. Fed up of Detroit, I tested free agency, but no one interesting came calling, so I have to pick a team to be invited to spring training by (which seems odd, surely they would invite me). Storyline-wise, it'd be nice to go back to the Reds as that's where I won a World Series. I';d like to go back and try and help the Astros again, but they're SO bad, it's just not going to happen anytime soon. And I've stopped training entirely. I've racked up 5000 training points and my stats haven't regressed passed a point or two. I dunno, anyone have any ideas for making it fresh again?
My RttS pitcher is in his second season with the Astros. Got out of AA in half a season. Managed to become a AAA starter fairly quickly. Broke my arm with two weeks left in my first season, so I missed that and all of the playoffs, where we got through the first round and were swept in the second. Management keeps telling me I have the skills to go to the majors, but there are never any open slots. Bastards.

I was also able to pick up Mount & Blade: Warbrand on sale as well.
Warband is fucking incredible.

It sounds like your game is mostly running itself from the stories you tell, haha. What do you actually do in the game?
Like pretty much all Paradox games, you mostly sit there and wait.

I highly recommend doing the tutorials.

At the very least, his characters could be considered a parody, which is perfectly legal. Just ask Weird Al. He asks for permission to parody songs because he's a nice guy, but he doesn't legally have to have permission to do it.

How does this series compare with Baseball Mogul?

I played this for 3 or 4 minutes, and it made me sick as hell. Oi. I hate getting motion sickness from games.

I bought Arma II and haven't touched it since the day I bought it. The learning curve is insane. Might give this a try though.

I believe the ball physics in 12 were completely re-done.

What pitches do you use?
-
You could have followed School's Out with "Hot For Teacher" by Van Halen.

I actually had the same problem. My bank had Mojang flagged as a fraudulent thing. So I used my fiance's card and paid her back and it worked out fine.
Paradox games but definitely NOT GAMES OF THRONE

Watch Let's Plays on youtube. That's how I figured a lot of it out.
I am now King of Ireland with my Leinster game. Once I had taken over 8 counties and created myself, all of the other lords just accepted vassalization, so the country became united fairly easily. My current character is such a badass. I've been him since he was 8(when his older brother was pushed off the ledge of a castle and died ). He's now in his mid 30's and has made himself Duke of Meath, Duke of Leinster, and King of Ireland. It's going to suck when he dies. His heir is a dwarf with very low stats, and all of his other kids are girls.
