I'd be excited about this game if I had seen anything of the gameplay. Any idea of when we might see something?
Probably around SummerSlam time.
-
Any news about what sort of story mode it'll have yet?

The trick to boosting your population is to up your house building. I know it seems counter productive but you probably have loads of adults who are capable of having children but won't until they move out of their parents' house and in with a partner.Think I'm starting to get the hang of Banished...after about the 10th time I quit and restarted...
I'm about 6 years in, my population is up from 20 to 25 (24 adults, one child). My huntsmen, forresters, farmers, gatherers, herbalists and stonecutters are making my town fairly self sufficient for the time being. I built a townhall to attract nomads to add to my population though, because one birth a year isn't a good way to sustain a town, I just haven't gotten any nomads yet. Plus I'm finding I have more jobs then people. As it is, I turn off my tailor and woodsman during the spring/summer (the woodsman chops logs into firewood), because heavy coats and firewood aren't in as much demand, and only assign my blacksmith when I start to run low on tools. Having only 3 of a possible 15 stonecutters also means stone production is incredibly slow
But my fulltime huntsmen keep us stocked with venison and deer leather. My cabbage and squash farms are highly productive, I just started to see results for a pecan orchard I planted (Tip, if you guys plant an orchard, wait..it took about 3 or 4 years before I saw pecans getting harvested) plus my gatherers keep us stocked with roots, berries, mushrooms and onions! (Yea, onions and cabbage...my townfolk are wishing gasmasks are real)
Now I just need to get more people so I expand west towards the river, build a trading post and get some livestock and other seeds!
Also hunters and gatherers are a million times more productive than farmers.
Yea I built a couple more houses last night and instantly 3 kids were born
Make sure you don't build houses too quickly, though. Kids eat but don't produce, so too many of them will stretch your food production.

Kerbal Space Program is the kind of game where your screw-ups are just as entertaining as your successes.

I'm really going to regret installing the Long War mod on here, aren't I?
Probably.
-
I never did. Is it possible that it just never triggered in my game?
-
I do have the expansion. I beat the game with the expansion.

There's a base defense mission?
-
Then I'm afraid all of your soldiers are going to die.

How the hell do you do the base invasion mission? I tried last night and I was just totally swarmed by Cyberdiscs, Mutons, Chrysalids and the mech Sectopods. I managed to survive to the last wave, but there were so many left that I never stood a chance, not to mention that I barely got any reinforcements worth mentioning
Go very slowly through it. Eliminate each enemy group you find before moving on and potentially discovering a new one.

As great as the prospect is, I'm just hoping it isn't linear. I have no previous experience with 2K sports games so don't as much about their past career modes, but I don't want to be made to go for Title A when I'd rather go for Title B, or settle unfinished business with somebody else.
I don't think it'd be too difficult to have a branching type story mode with choices that let you pick your direction.

ANybody played this with the Long War mod? It adds a whole new level of crazy.

I am using the pulse setting. It tells me closer to the middle the more accurate yet some pitches just seem to go nowhere near where I've aimed for. I've been told to change this setting to the meter but I've yet to try it so don't know if it makes a difference.
The accuracy also takes your stats into account. If you have very low control on a pitch, even if you get the pulse dead on you may still miss wild.

The Order: 1886 was just delayed until February
Next year? Son of a bitch.

Anyone played Kenshi? Looks interesting and is on sale, wasn't sure if worth picking up.
I have it. There is no tutorial and it's extremely difficult to learn.

I've got a 25% off coupon for Pixel Piracy if anybody's interested.

Since I know you guys have been eager to learn of things relating to The Show, seems you can trade in your PS3 copy at Gamestop and get the PS4 version for $20. You also get $20's worth of in game currency.
Doesn't seem to be any mention of saves carrying over or anything like that though.
I read on The Show's website that game saves are cross-platform.

And he's even talking about "stretch goals" for things he'll add to the game if the funding goals are exceeded.
As if there will ever actually be a game.

The neverending story called Pro Wrestling X just managed to get greenlit on steam.

Is there still hope? I somehow doubt it but we will see.
The guy making it started a kickstarter page and has made like $15,000.

They were in the way of my rampage
Pretty sure that's exactly what Stalin used to say.

"Project Morpheus" VR Headset for PS4.
I'm getting motion sickness and a migraine just from looking at it.
-
I really hope Sony has one of those deals where you buy the PS3 version and upgrade to the PS4 version for $10 when it releases.

I hadn't had any until last night, and it lasted until a couple of hours ago. I got to where I could load my game, but couldn't make any attribute purchases at all. Now I think everything is back to normal.

I can't connect to the 2K server so I can't play my own gamesave? That's bullshit
I've had the same problem since last night. Seems 2k14 automatically makes a game save "online" if you're connected when you created it, so you have to be online to play it at all. Even if you never play online, which I don't. It's complete bullshit.
