  1. Given that I've played through parts of the rest of the franchise, yeah, having to just let the gun aim for me is an odd experience. Still, for a DOS-based game, it's rather good. Now if CBS would just re-release Star Trek 25th Anniversary...

I had that for NES and could never get past like, the 2nd planet.

  2. but some of the parts of the story are a bit silly.

It´s Wrestling. Something would be missing if it was not silly.

I only played their Superhero game before, it was not to terrible but in the end felt like an Elaborated way to have someone else write fan fiction that allowed me to save and fuck Natalie Portman. >_> I think for the price their games are a fair deal, i am amazed how many Achievements they put in the Steam version of Slammed, it´s like 70 or 74.

A major part of the plot is that certain matches are shoots, certain matches are works, and some matches have a few minutes of shooting with a worked beginning and end, and all of the world title matches(there's only one, on the biggest show each year) have to be shoots, and all this other convoluted shit.

  3. I mean - outside of driving a truck, what is the goal of the game?

It's a business sim, really. You start out doing contract jobs until you get enough money to buy your own truck(or get a loan to buy it). Then you do jobs with your own truck to keep money coming in. Eventually buy more trucks and drivers and keep expanding.

  4. I still have two copies of Magicka to gift away. I also have a spare '25% off' coupon for Pixel Piracy which is valid until April (you can't add it to the sale discount, unfortunately <_<). Any takers?

I'll takt the other Magicka if you still have it. Steam name is KevinStorm.

  5. Even though this isn't censorship, there are very rare times when censorship is a good thing and is needed.

    This is one of them.

Free speech means that sometimes you're going to get offended, and all censoring ever does is make the censoree feel even more justified because it makes it seem as if they have something worth saying.

Ellis is dead on, if the idiot bloggers hadn't posted and Steam hadn't pulled the game, this would just be another shitty forgotten indie title, it's sad (though not unexpected) to see people being manipulated and playing into their hands.

Free speech applies to government, not private companies. Steam can refuse to carry whatever game for whatever reason.
