Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords
Originally on Xbox, then I bought the physical game on PC, and then I bought it on Steam when my new computer had an issue with the disk drive and wouldn't read the discs.
Worth it.- 1

Okay, I've finally settled on the theme for my next game.
KnIghts of the old mafia 2 - The pre-sequel! With better balancing, stricter deadlines and no Sith-Aligned Sith Assassins.
-
I've got a DBZ mafia all ready to go, plus a wrestling mafia in the planning stages and a higher concept thing which may or may not work.
But I really want to play a Sean game so I don't mind waiting.

In please!

If you like star wars it should be a definite get.
Its not grindy at all. Even if you just do the story you'll only miss out on reaching the level cap by one or two levels.

Oh man I'd love a Chikara mafia!
I'd been thinking up roles for a wrestling themed mafia with no real set theme (just a hodge podge of random stuff) but if any more experienced people want to run a game I'd happily put my stuff on the back burner.

Just got out of NXT in career mode after toppling Kevin Owens for the second time on PPV (in our first match he got himself DQed by attacking my manager, Emma. Fair play Kevin). Couldn't be bothered sticking around in NXT and wrestling the same guys week-in and week-out so I immediately jumped into the IC title rankings.
I've had a lot more success changing my finisher from a submission move to an impact move. Matches no longer take ten plus minutes just because my Signature move won't put opponents away.
Bret continues to be the bane of my existence in showcase though. I hate having most of the objectives done only for him to lock me in a submission move and tap me out.
Still enjoying it though.

Echoing the sentiments on the new submission system being awful. While I'm happy they've done away with button mashing they should've replaced it with the blue slider from SvR2006 where you had to stop the dot in the zone to escape. That was a good system.
I am enjoying the new pin and reversal systems though, and AI Rollins' tendency to chickenshit his way out of matches is fantastic (I was wailing on him with Reigns. I just nailed the Spear but he kicked out at 2. He then got out of the ring, grabbed a sledgehammer and hit me with it. Glorious)

Turn Trikki D Face and overness to 25
Raise Daniel Swaggers overness to 28
Make Trikki D's main finisher 'Something Special'
Second finisher is Tomahawk. Impact
Turn KrackerJak heel with evil boss gimmick
Change his finisher to spear
Second Finisher is bastard Lock
Krackerjak's spear is still the Britney Spear last I checked.
Also I'd have his gimmick set to "crazy"

As someone who never played 13 is there enough of a jump from 12 to 14 in terms of gameplay and content to justify a full (or near-full) price purchase?

I had that issue too when I first played it. I had to bump it down to easy after getting to Tien's Landing. Even then some of the boss fights are ridiculously hard, especially later on in the game (although once you get the Golem transformation form everything becomes stupidly easy).
Trying an entire playthrough on normal and yeah, it gets quite difficult in places (surprised I've only died once to be honest).

So with my Xbox 360 on the fritz again (my dog peed on it), I've started replaying original Xbox games.
In between smashing through another Madden 07 franchise, I've started up Jade Empire again. I love the original setting (in comparison to other western RPGs at the time) and the combat system. But the one thing I had forgotten is how bloody hard the game is if you don't use the transformation styles (I believe they make the game too easy). More recent RPGs have spoilt me with regenerating health after every fight and standard enemies usually being mere cannon fodder as opposed to actual threats. Also your allies are bloody useless in combat if they're being used as attackers as opposed to support.
Still love the story too even though I know all the twists. Surprised there was no sequel for it (although I think it didn't sell well which'd probably explain why). -
