In all seriousness though, I'm all for mixing it up and getting different bands in. I'm the opposite of Dan in that the only band announced so far that I like is Judas Priest, and I only know their more well known songs. I am wondering about it this year at the moment, purely because of the lack of metal, but I'm sure as the announcements start coming this will be rectified. I'm just dissapointed that for the second year running there arent any headliners I'm dying to see. A fiver says that Kiss Incubus and FOB get announced later.

EDIT: Or not. Motorhead and the confirmation of Kiss make it look better straight away. I'm sure most of you will be excited by Rise Against as well.

For those interested the main rumours going around the other alternative festivals is that Rage Metallica and probably the Verve will headline Reading/Leeds and Kiss, Slipknot and Lostprophets will be headlining Download. Not pleased about either to be honest.

I kind of understand where he's coming from. I mean, I do love England, and I'll always support them, but with the raw talent this team supposedly has, and how little we've achieved with it, I think perhaps not qualifying would be the kick in the teeth we need to get our act together. I also think that McLaren makes bad selections, but he goes with players who have been there before and are used to the pressure and I understand that.

None of this really matters as I can't see Crouch and Defoe beating Croatia.

To elaborate a little bit on what I said earlier in the thread; I started a Master League with a created team and started with the default Master League squad. First season I was leaking goals from set pieces left and right, and finished about 14th, largely thanks to signing Larsson in the first transfer window. Over the summer I signed Hyppia, and the next season with a tall centre back I found myself conceding less from corners and free kicks. I won promotion that year and in my second summer created a solid centre back pairing (well as solid as Hyppia and Titus Bramble can be) and now it doesn't happen at all.

I think it's all down to the quality of your squad and much like in real life, the lower down the leagues you go the more goals are scored from set pieces.

What team are you using? I found that happened to me a lot during the Master League at first, but as I bought better defenders that problem went away.

I also think Motley Crue and Alice Cooper are working on new albums, don't know when they're due out though. I don't have much luck when it comes to bands I like releasing new albums, with Wednesday 13 being the only cert out of all 6 bands mentioned.

As for shows, theres Download which I go to every year, also there's Megadeth and Velvet Revolver at some point next year which I'm looking forward to, and I hope to see Wednesday and The Misfits again, having seen them both within the last 2 months.

I dont think it's something that you're supposed to look into so much, for me it was just a fun episode, that took the piss out of all sorts, I don't think it had a specific message as such. Good episode though.
