We got the point ... we're good.
Pulisic is fucking amazing. Fuck off Jermaine Jones, you now are just in the damned way. Bradley is GREAT as a 6 .... but doesn't work with you. I thank you, but it's time for you to POOF and be fucking gone (or help our Gold Cup squad out).
VERY encouraged by the play and this was without Cameron or Johnson available across the back (Johnson on left side of mid even).
I'm pretty sure Chandler will get another call (though Lichaj was said to be getting a call had he not been injured) but I guess his league form/minutes warrant at least ONE MORE look (though I'm done with it at this point).
All in all we got exactly what we needed but the Honduras match gave quite a bit more to the squad.

Josef Martinez went down in the 59th minute during Venezuela's match last night, was immediately clutching his leg.

I love their reaction to the club and love that they've been able to start this well. I'm reserving judgment until year 5 or so on the fan base because: Everything else that's ever been shown by Atlanta pro sports fandom.
TFC signs Jason Hernandez to bolster DEF (he's 33)

And Atlanta kills CHI in the permanent transfer department. He's 23, and it's a multi year deal. FUCK YES

Dax McCarty and Juninho aren't going to bring fans into the stadium. Like, it's really that simple, especially for Chicago. If you're looking at it from a purely on-field perspective that doesn't really seem to capture the whole point of it.
Clearly ... but it just illustrates the idiocy that is the CHI Fire at this point. They made savvy moves and pulled off a FANTASTIC overhaul. They brought in arguably 2 of the 10 best pure CM's in the league the last 8-10yrs to support the attack that they finally managed to solidify with Nikolic ... and then do this.
The fans left the Fire (like they did in DC) because of the ineptness of the FO and idiocy in decision making. This only follows that trend, regardless of the 'other' aspects. Hell, CHIfan is divided at best on this. Sure, some are excited because NAME GUY WOOOOO .. but just as many are going DAFUQ DAX AND J??? It's also brought more of the 'retirement league, lol MLS washed up player reserve, etc etc' bullshit that the league had blown out of the water this off-season.
-
While I love who he USED to be on the field .... this makes less than zero sense for CHI.
-
-
meh .... better bracket is on ESPN (14-2 Vandy and UNCW my losses) ... still not in bad shape though considering I've watched exactly ZERO SECONDS of CBB this year.

FUCK YEAH FCD!!!!!!!!
2-1 win over Pachuca in the 1st leg!

you are winning sir ... my WalMart had BUBKISS

those are glorious

Sebastian Blanco and David Guzman make POR ridiculously dangerous.
ATL did exactly what I figured ... showed VERY WELL, but will need time to get it all together on the field. While everyone is focusing on the pace/attacking players ... I was most impressed with Greg Garza.
Awesome night for ORL but damn, Kaka out 6 weeks just like that. It showed immediately just how much of a difference he makes. Hopefully Rivas won't have his chance ripped out from under him due to this injury.
FCD FCD FCD FCD ... dear Lord I'm pumped for this season for them.
HOU flew under the radar but their attacking trio looked really damn good .... Elis, Cubo, and Quioto are going to put the ball in the back of the net, A LOT.
Gooch looked like he could still play, and that makes me happy
Then there was THIS from Montreal ... showing why this league is so fucking awesome:

Awesome stuff out right now.
VAULT comics just launched HEATHEN and its beautiful ... FISSURE is promising as well (they've got a few more on the way).
SCOUT comics has a few books out right now that are very good reads (if you can find them).
I've enjoyed the start of BULLSEYE (wish it wasn't a limited) and KINGPIN.
Black Eyed Kids is still wonderful, Astro City is still glorious,
I've picked up The Wildstorm and liked it so I'll be giving it a go.

@It's Pronounced Zoom-E ... that's a ways off so as it gets closer we'll see. Where are the tix at? I can do some digging around here as there are a handful of PHI fans that share tix with people back home.
Well this happened for my home club: SAFC will affiliate with NYCFC this season .... that's kind of a big deal.

@It's Pronounced Zoom-E ... it's already started for you man. Yaro out 3-4 months.
POR looking to trade Jack McInerney ... damn, had a rocket up his ass and now he's in danger of Aduing his way out of the league.

anyone else reading the stuff from VAULT COMCIS ? They're killing it right now.
Heathen, Fissure, Karma Police, Powerless, and Failsafe is fixing to drop. They're also going to be doing Alien Bounty Hunter (Mark Whalburg is involved though no word on the Funky Bunch). They are beautiful books and have started extremely well. Heathen is already on 2nd prints for issue 2 and 3 is close to selling out.
