It's so so so so so good.
Without spoiling anything, the second "boss" fight is probably one of my favorite boss fights in gaming history. Even in my jaded-as-hell 30s, I can't help but grin and chuckle at this game.

This.
Game.
Is.
So.
Much.
FUN.
If you liked Mario 64...or the openness from BotW...or really just a game that lets you try damn near anything, just go get this game.

...why do I need to build stuff?
I ask myself the same thing every time I play a round...but damned if I don't try again.

16GB download for Gran Turismo Sport, in case you felt like playing today.
GT Sport is more Street Fighter V and less Tekken 7. It's a foundation of a game and not really comparable to previous GTs, This feels more like Forza 7; a smattering of cars, great visuals and racing controls, an obsession with being online.
In a year or two, this may be an excellent game. Right now? Think of it as Prologue 2.

Stardew Valley on the Switch is the most relaxing $14.99 you can possibly spend on that system.
-
Reinstalled Stardew Valley for the PC in anticipation for the Switch version. Quickly realized that while the PC controls aren't bad, the Switch controls should be excellent for this.
Also, should you want a relaxing game, go nab Steamworld Dig 2. Improves on the original in some decent ways and can just be a chill game to play.

Let's just say I expect at least a little bit of protection from structures I've built. When they're shot down immediately regardless of what I've built, that gets a little frustrating and makes me wonder why I bother building things at all.
-
I've got to experiment more with the crafting system. Seems like regardless of what you build, people are just going to shoot it down immediately and then shoot you.

Appreciate everyone taking part. Tip 'o the hat to everyone for this year and whoever will be the new Commish next season.
-
Note that GS is also doing B2G1 on preowned items. Nabbed a wireless XBox controller for mah PC, Destiny 2 for PS4, and Bomberman for the Switch.
Now to figure out when I'll have time to play them!

Could see them doing something like what they did with the last GTA where you flip between different characters. That'd be neat.
I felt like they didn't even get that right gameplay-wise in GTAV. Granted, RDR2 could be a chance to learn from their mistakes, but I'm already kind of soured on the idea.
My knee-jerk reaction is to take the scene change (when you change from John to his son) idea from the end of RDR1 and utilize it to change the narrative here. Build to a crescendo as opposed to having a janky, stop-on-a-dime narrative.

This game is fun because it has crafting and is free.

C'mon. Do eeeet.

Caved, bought Thumper, no regrets. It's a nightmarish Audiosurf and well worth $15.
-
Why would you want to double up on teams, anyways? Just feels like putting multiple eggs in one basket, yo.
-
Anyone tried Thumper? I'm a sucker for rhythm games and trippy horror, plus it's on sale, soooooo kinda tempted.
Also note that if you dug Snipperclips or Captain Toad, Death Squared goes on sale next week and did a very cool thing where they told people to wait for the sale before buying it.

Played a game of Fortnite Battle Royale and though I really dig the construction aspects of it, everyone is playing it just like PUBG. Grab guns, go Call of Duty everyone the moment you see them.

While I'm not overly jazzed about the NL Wild Card game if it were to happen today, there really isn't a bad matchup possibility in this year's playoffs. Every one of these series looks great on paper.

so it's really just the second NL Wild Card spot up for grabs, but even that is surely going to go to the Cardinals, Rockies (?!?!) or Brewers.

Arizona's playoff opener sold out in less than two hours. Neat.

New York's got Kristaps and Hornicek. It's going to be a bumpy ride this year, but next year and onward could be very interesting in the Big Apple.
If OKC manages to figure out how to balance Westbrook/Anthony/George's shots, they're #2 in the West with a bullet. Really looking forwards to OKC/GSW in the West and Cavs/Celts in the East.
This is the beauty of the off-season: both conferences look good!

So yesterday was very, very good for my team. I am NOT getting my hopes up. I'm not, I'm not, I'm not.
Ray got tagged and that's been the Mustaches's strikeout artist, so you've got a puncher's chance. As a fan of sheer chaos, I'm rooting for ya.

LA Galaxy are really really bad.
Shhhh, shhhh just let me have this.
As well as the excellent second half play we've had all season.
And also our excellence at home.
Just let me have all of this.
