My bet's still on David Cook, despite his first awful performance in ages. He started from the wrong point in the song and was completely overpowered by the backup at one point.
The sooner David Archuleta and Kristy Lee Cook are gone, the better. Both are absolutely terrible.
A big "meh" to Randy Jackson for saying the same damn things about almost every performance. Get a vocabulary, dude.
Carly Smithson was terrific this week, easily the best. I don't get where Simon was coming from.Quoted for relevance this week as well.

I was exposed against my will to HIM's cover of "Enjoy The Silence" a long while back. Absolute shit. I yelled at my nephew afterwards...how he can listen to that I'll never know.
Green Day's cover of "Working Class Hero" is fun, solely because my niece is a Lennon fangirl/hates Green Day, and if I mention it she goes ballistic. She did the same thing after the Lennon/McCartney week of American Idol. It's hilarious.
Half the time with Idol, I won't be able to listen to the original song for a while because whoever sang it on TV butchered it. Imagine's on that list due to a tone deaf 17 year-old.

One of my all-time favorite movies. Jean Reno rocks.

Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo Found my copy ages ago in a Walmart bargain bin. Playing it right now, Ryu keeps whooping me...damn AI.

I used to watch Food Network regularly, then they took off Iron Chef. Now, not so much.
I love Gordon Ramsay. It tastes like baby vomit! -
And also get PS1 Tombi to play on it - I'm selling it on ebay right now and it's pretty rare

So if I play a lot of Castlevania, does that mean I'll travel to Transylvania, team up with a (generally) cute vampire hunter and go slay Dracula? If I play lots of RPGs, will I be able to wield a sword IRL as well as my character does? If I happen to play an animal care simulator, will I be able to take care of a little critter of my own? (Answers are no, hell no, and...well, that one's cheating, I've had pets for years)
Jack Thompson fails at life. He's a one-trick pony who needs to be shut down for good.

I liked Mario. Had just the right amount of "WTF is this?"-style ridiculousness, and John Leguizamo's good in just about anything.
Seems like Robin Hood meets Braveheart with a huge dose of "Wasn't this done before?"
And the trailer came on TV just as I went to post. Why does this have "A Dungeon Siege tale" as a subtitle?

Because new Who always takes so long to get across the pond (Probably another Summer release...hopefully...), I'm not as excited for that as I am for Torchwood series 2. BBC America FINALLY got on the ball, though I'm not looking forward to explaining the timeline difference between that and Doctor Who series 3 (which is on the same night) to my newly-initiated parent.
The Torchwood one didn't contain much, but it made my body hurt thinking about it coming back. -
Anthony Hopkins takes some apalling acting roles - a surprisingly large percentage in fact.
-
I didn't really like the girl who became the assistant after Rose, it was weird that she'd been in before as an employee of Torchwood >_>
-
I read an interview with Steven Moffat a while ago, he said he's got a second series ready if the BBC is interested.
-
I'm in. Hopefully I won't get anything passive this time.
-
I watched a good portion of what Adult Swim aired of NGE (I wish they'd air it again, Saturday's lineup sucks), but I still don't know much about it. Nevertheless, I'm in.
-
Seen 'em all, like most of them. I'm in.

Spoiler: Click here to viewColin Creevey (creepy kid with the camera from Book 2) should be added to the death list, same causes as Fred/Lupin/Tonks. His body was one of the many carried in by Neville and Oliver Wood.

On this, the day of all days, DirecTV chooses to have fits.
Catherine Tate in more than 1 episode = judicious use of the mute button. Dear God she's annoying.
-
I am not looking forward to see what he does to Stephen King's Cell.

SciFi is airing the second half of series 2 (Rise of the Cybermen to the two-part finale) from 8 AM to 4 PM EST Friday. Love and Monsters sucked. At least I won't be home to sit through it. (I fast forwarded through a good portion of that episode. Horrible drivel.)
SciFi's also not shorting us Statesiders, as Runaway Bride airs at 8 PM to 9:30 PM EST, followed by Smith and Jones from 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Set your DVRs, folks

Cheaper By the Dozen 2 - 6.5/10
For some reason (barring Bringing Down the House), I can't stand Eugene Levy. Not as good as the original.
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust - 7.5/10
$12 used at GameStop. Must've been very gently used, as there was not a scratch or a mark on that disc. I had to turn on a light to verify. Amazing.
Not as good as the original, but holds its own as far as animated films go. A few plot points from the book (Vol. 3, Demon Deathchase) were omitted, so that American viewers wouldn't be offended (chief offender would've been the pseudo-incest/rape subplot between D's rival bounty hunters, if that had made it in). The end fight sequence made me want to root for the vampire, while knowing that D never loses. I liked that.

Roth further charged that some critics -- he declined to name them -- actually reviewed the pirated copy. "I know who they are, as do the studios, and other filmmakers," he said, "and they will no longer have any access to any of my films."

We're supposed to be getting series 3 on the Sci-Fi Channel in July. I saw a commercial for it the other day, but don't remember the date and the Sci-Fi.com website doesn't say when it starts.
-
When's the expected ETA on series 3 going Stateside? July?
BBC America's advertising series 2 and Torchwood...in September.

There was pretty much nothing else on TV today, so...
Bewitched - 7.5/10
Will Ferrell (outside of pure comedy roles) is underrated. Nicole Kidman is overrated. And Michael Caine is just plain awesome in anything. Not a spectacular movie, but decent and cute in places.
EDIT: Score bumped up to 7.5 due to Steve Carrell.
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory - 10/10
Gene Wilder's the man. 'Nuff said.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - 8/10
Odd, odd movie, which is faithful to an equally odd book. The guy who played the Oompa Loompas must've had a blast. Not as good as the original movie, but good in itself.
EDIT: And RavenBlack, no offense, but I think you're the only person in the world who actually liked Bewitched.

Maybe they're going to try to fill in the 7 year period between Trials and Tribulations and Apollo Justice?
Still, playing as Edgeworth for more than half a case this time, sweet!
