Saw the 900 (the THPS cover band) on the 4th and now off to see Black Veil Brides tonight. Also booked for Trivium later in the year; it's nice to finally have some bands to my music taste finally coming back to little old Norwich!

My quick interpretation of the maths and Wikipedia says that wouldn't be the case. Ian Porterfield (31 in 90, 34.4%) and Glenn Hoddle (53 in 157, 33.8%) would both still be worse than Potter (hypothetically 9 in 26, 34.6%). Both Porterfield and Hoddle also had 3-6 times as many games to achieve their low scores in.

The fact that we're having to make this detailed a breakdown while technically still World champions and when half a billion has been spent in a January transfer window, however, is a little bit concerning.

On a separate note, Hoddle was made England manager with that win record. Jesus.

It's wild to me that a club would sign a manager to a 3+ year contract and then give him the boot after just 3 months, solid cup results, and only 4 points away from safety. I get that he probably wouldn't be on a huge salary by comparison to other PL managers, but they'll have paid out compensation to Luton and now Jones himself, with absolutely nothing to show for it, and I'm not sure anyone could go into the job and do a better job.

That being said, Southampton's next game is against one of the three teams they've actually managed to beat this season (Chelsea), so I fully expect them to get a win at Stamford Bridge...

Basically this. Jorginho is only worth having on the pitch to take penalties and if you have Kante covering his weaknesses... maybe Arsenal could take both off our hands? Sure, Kante's only fit enough to play for 5 minutes a season, but those 5 minutes are good enough for Arsenal, I'm sure.

I've never seen 12 Angry Men but it's been on my "to watch" list for a very long time. One I'd definitely recommend, because it's my favourite film of all time, is Some Like It Hot. It's a classic comedy featuring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis, and Jack Lemmon, all of whom have amazing chemistry with each other. Curtis and Lemmon also worked together on The Great Race, which also has Natalie Wood and a pre-Columbo Peter Falk in it. I've only seen the latter film once about 15-20 years ago, but can still remember it almost scene-by-scene.

Sticking with the comedy theme, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World is basically Rat Race but from the 60s, Duck Soup for some Marx Brothers madness that sets some of the key tropes for satire and black comedy, anything directed by Mel Brooks, and basically anything with Peter Sellers in it, especially Dr Strangelove.

I'll have a think about non-comedies, but that's definitely my favourite area when it comes to classic film.

Big D and the Kids Table are coming back to Norwich in April. More importantly, however, they're being supported by Kill Lincoln, a ska punk band I love but never thought I'd get to see live.

A lot of this, at least the sentiment I'm aware of, is due to the fact that Farke wasn't actually that unpopular at the time he was sacked. It's Delia Smith and Stuart Webber who were attracting most of the criticism, with the decision to appoint Dean Smith never being one the locals were keen on. Dean's insinuation that the fans were to blame for poor performances didn't help him towards the end.

I don't know too much about Wagner but I know his and Farke's mutual ties to Dortmund make this appointment seem more appreciated.

I won't defend Chelsea's questionable transfer activity in general but it does seem like Arsenal (their fans, especially) are looking for any excuse to complain right now. I've already seen multiple statements pre-emptively criticising Chelsea for stealing Declan Rice away from them, even though we've been linked with him for about three years while they've only had reports of interest in him in the last day or so.

It certainly paints Arsenal's disdain for Chelsea "sniping" the deal from under them into a different light.

How is Graham Potter in the firing line at Chelsea, despite only getting to play a signing made under him for about an hour of game time so far, yet Liverpool are only three points ahead and I haven't seen or heard any criticism whatsoever aimed at Klopp?

Is it just the goodwill built up from finally ending the dry spell and winning another Champions League? Is it a cultural difference between fans of each club?

Yep, I even managed to get the premium version by using my Google Rewards balance on it.

My lifetime stats is highly skewed towards EDM due to a couple of playlists that saw heavy rotation in 2019/20 and ended up dominating my Top Songs playlists for those years, as part of my work focus and cardio music.  Despite that, my lifetime artists manages to remain pretty representative of my tastes due to only a select few getting more than a few songs on those playlists.

6 months is the best example for my top tracks, though it's started being affected by my cooking playlist. #s 6, 8 and 9 are all probably from my weights workout playlist, which is probably my only other self-made playlist that gets regular airtime right now. I've actually become quite partial to using Spotify mixes, as they're a lot more varied and update frequently.

I imagine the albums section is just a cumulative addition of playing time for songs on that album, as my lists are dominated by the same as seen above. I'm not too familiar with some of the albums as a result. Shout out to AFI for randomly reaching #21 on my lifetime albums solely off the back of Miss Murder, though.

There are currently 10 senior players out injured. Azpi and Auba are clearly past it, Koulibaly looks out of his depth in the PL more often than not, and Havertz isn't cut out to be the main striker. None of this would be any different if Tuchel were still in charge and I'm not sure anyone else could do much better under these circumstances. The idea that Potter isn't good enough clearly comes from a privileged post-Abramovich viewpoint that Chelsea equals success, despite the fact that the issues have demonstrably been building for many years and the evidence that Man Utd, Arsenal, and Liverpool have all experienced it in the past too.

My main concerns are the ongoing injury crisis and the fact that several players clearly aren't good enough but fixing that takes time, and certainly isn't something you want to be doing in a January transfer window.
