  1. I'm ambitious, that's different. In 2011, back in the end of the season, I said Newcastle would be gunning for European spots with Ben Arfa recovered and a few good signings with the Andy Carroll money, but you and most of the people in the forum said 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOO NEWCASTLE WILL BE AT MID-TABLE, FIGHTING FOR RELEGATION'. What happened? 5th place. And now it's the only chance we'll have in YEARS to make it big, but instead, people like you want to keep Danny Simpson. I've been a Newcastle fan through thick and thin, I support this team since I saw Bobby Robson coaching this team back in early 2004 and Shearer tearing it up. I supported this team when crappy administration and incredibly garbage coaching led us to the Championship. I supported this team when we sold our top goalscorer and were left with the average championship striker and the guy that will bleed for the club but has a crappy goal average. I supported this team every single goddamn game.
  2. About who? Tioté or Simpson? Because if it's about Simpson, it's a complete lie. The guy was solid in the Championship. I repeat, IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP. And if you remember our worst defensive efforts against Tottenham and Wigan, most goals came from his side. He might be fast, but he's clumsy and he barely crosses. Sure, Ben Arfa barely plays it to him, but he's right. Simpson is bad offensively and average defensively.
  3. Do you have a better source than Talksport, because all quotes seem to be pointing towards Debuchy. Both sound great transfers, Debuchy looks like a safer investment. More experienced, and a French international.
  4. I can say I made a misjudgment on Tioté, but matter of fact is, Danny Simpson SUCKS.
  5. Arbeloa might be hard-working, a good defender, but lord how much he sucks with the ball on his feet.
  6. Newcastle seems to have agreed a bid for Vurnon Anita. No more Danny Simpson!
  7. Joey Barton got angry because Gervinho DIVED, it was clear that he DIVED, but Barton's reaction was far too exagerated, even though It's sad that people get paid over a million per month just to dive on the box. As for the game, Newcastle just played the ball to Krul and he fired that ball all over the field, Ameobi nodded, and back it goes to the Arsenal Goalkeeper Whose Name Is Very Hard To Write. I think Pardew should change Newcastle and try to make the team work the ball more with some good passing, because we have some creativity there, Cabaye, Barton and Obertan played well in the creation, and Simpson played a solid game ( Hooray!), but where's Marveaux?
  8. Why not Reo-Coker, I don't know.... Rumours between Newcastle, Erdinç and Tranquilo Barnetta.
  9. I give up, really. Next time I'll ignore everyone that bashes my opinion.
  10. Phisically he's a beast, A 'Great' Tackling that got him 11 yellow cards, so it means he's just a monster. And his passing, well, from the games I saw, he gave away many passes to the other team.
  11. 11 yellow cards, that speaks for itself. ELEVEN YELLOW CARDS. E L E V E N Even De Jong didn't do that badly...
  12. I think I have to teach everyone what real football is all about, football is about TESTING. 98% of the goalkeepers we have today started playing in different positions, even in the attacking role. Wayne Bridge is a left back, but what's the matter on switching sides? I'll be there when Newcastle goes 18th again with everyone's great decisions...
  13. Then I don't get it. Every single Brazilian player that got in the Premiership never changed his style of play, they just bulked up a little. Defensive Midfielders are supposed to be good tacklers, good passers and phisically good. I see that Tioté only fits in one of those three parameters.
  14. Well, since everyone thinks that MY opinions are always garbage, then who do you think would be good for the right back in Newcastle?
  15. Parker lived a good moment with West Ham, and football is all about momentum, I think that we should hire him and keep for a year or two until he's not worthy and we get some money to hire a good one. Talking about experience, y'see, Alan Pardew said he would hire some young players to Newcastle, and if we don't want to be Arsenal V2, we need experience to lead those young mans, in the defense, we have Coloccini, in the midfield, we could have Scott Parker, unless you think that Joey Barton and his 'good conduct' can lead young players. At the right back, I see Wayne Bridge as the most suitable option, if not, we could get Alan Hutton from Tottenham, I see him as a possible hiring, maybe we could hire that Drenthe kid, I heard he is decent enough to be a left back or right back, he can even play in the wing. We have money for Baines, but he wouldn't be interested. Otamendi from Porto would be good, but I think that, since Porto is in a great moment, he would cost gold. And I'm not a moron, for sure. I just have a different opinion from yours, grow up.
  16. Well, my toughts of hirings for Newcastle : I think the Goalkeeping position is quite safe with Krul, he made a good game against Brazil. We need someone in the other side of the defense, Danny Simpson/James Perch are poor... maybe we can get Wayne Bridge, maybe on a loan deal, I rarely see him in the starting 11 of City. I was thinking about a new defender, but Taylor has stepped up and done some quite good work... Midfield, we need someone to replace Tioté, some people already know what I think about him, and I think we could snatch Scott Parker. Attacking is the biggest hole we have at Tyneside, the Berbatov rumours are good, but rumours with the name of Newcastle never go down well, Demba Ba maybe, or Leandro Damião, young brazilian attacker, I think It would be worth 15 million pounds or so...
  17. I hope Newcastle can score at least once more ...
  18. The USA vs. Spain game was in the semis of the Confederations Cup , get a little bit of information , y'know , I'm here to have a mature discussion , not just someone throwing up arguments. And I like 4-4-2 , sounds easy to do and you can make a lot of variations with that formation
  19. Well , you got it wrong. I think I emphasized too much on that one. I mean , defensive midfielders are usual in teams that play behind , like Newcastle in certain games , so Tioté fits for the Toon , but what I'm saying is , I don't like his kind of playing .
  20. They were humiliated against Hercules , but it wasn't 3/4 because of the lack of talent . In Camp Nou , at the City Anniversary. Spain lost 2-0 to USA , they neutralized the spanish side and used well of their few counter attacks to beat 'em Spain lost 4-1 to Argentina. Spain lost 4-0 to Portugal. Scotland scored twice against Spain ( how can someone let Scotland score TWO GOALS? Even the U23 Brazil managed a clean sheet ) I'm relating Barcelona to Spain because it's 60% of the Barça Squad and has the same playing style.
  21. Not at all , not at all ... Y'know , I may not like Barcelona because I think they play the ball too much to the sides , and when they face a team that has the counter-attack as weapon , they lose in humiliating fashion , same thing to Spain... But they're the closest example to what Total Football was back in 1974 , where players could switch positions regularly... In the defensive midfield , you have Sergio Busquets , a young man that has good heading skills , runs well with the ball and oftenly goes up in the attack , and he plays in the SAME POSITION as Tioté , so I guess , if a team can't have a player like Tioté on their starting 11 , leave it the same , because It wouldn't do no good. Unless your team plays with all the 11 players behind , they might be fine.
  22. In my opinion , effort is something that every player should have , and if one doesn't , then he shouldn't be playing soccer otherwise , and that's why I don't consider It a good point from Tioté , because if he has so much energy , he's so eager ... I've seen many ''eager'' players injury skillful athletes and put them on the sidelines for months...
  23. I called him Ivorian Nigel De Jong because of that sending off , several yellow cards he gets because of lenient refereeing , and a powerful shot , which is , in my opinion , his only good point.
