  1. This is great news, finally Sepp understood that technology is necessary. One thing I think that should also be done is the challenge thing that happens in tennis.
  2. 18-man squad for Brazil was announced right now : Goalkeepers - Neto (Fiorentina), Rafael Cabral (Santos) Defenders - Thiago Silva (Milan) , Bruno Uvini (Sao Paulo) , Juan (Internazionale) Wing-backs - Danilo (Porto), Rafael (Man Utd), Alex Sandro (Porto), Marcelo (Real Madrid) Midfielders - Sandro (Tottenham), Romulo (Spartak Moscow), Paulo Henrique Ganso (Santos), Lucas Moura (Sao Paulo), Oscar (Internacional) Attackers - Alexandre Pato (Milan), Hulk (Porto), Leandro Damiao (Internacional), Neymar (Santos)
  3. Just rumours, but Real Madrid want to offload Kaka in order to bring in Modric. He's going back to his first club, Sao Paulo. 5% of the liverpool fans remember them from the World Club Championship in 2005.
  4. I did bet 10 R$ with a friend that Chael Sonnen will win. It would be so funny to see everyone with a sad face the other day.
  5. Scotland held out in a friendly against a mesh of the current Brazil squad and the youngsters, didn't lose too badly. Sure friendlies are different (WE BEAT SPAIN!) but since we'll have a flat back 7/8, we shouldn't get beaten too badly. It was quite some time ago, and the team back then is much different to the team now. I'd say we improved a lot offensively, but without Thiago Silva and David Luiz, our defence is terrible. Do you mean you'll do poorly at the olympics because you'll be without Silva and David Luiz (I'd have Lucio over him anyway in a full strength Brazil, maybe put Luiz in CDM with Lucas Leiva or Sandro)? Dede is quite young and should be going, no? Haven't seen anything announced for their team but them, Spain and Argentina are the best three teams in my mind for this tournament. We'll be with Silva and Luiz. But....take a look at our back-up defenders Bruno Uvini and Juan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZh1kbYDWp4 I'd pick Lucio too, but right now Brazil is looking to renew the squad.
  6. Too bad for him. If he didn't get injured so often, I bet Jose Enrique wouldn't be starting for Liverpool. Erm, yes he would. Aurelio's fitness doesn't change the fact Enrique is a better player. .....No.

  8. Apparently Newcastle is still after Vurnon Anita, but now Sunderland have joined them.
  9. Kean must've been watching a 'Best Of Euro 2000' DVD.

  11. Are Vasco de Gama actually a 16th century Portuguese explorer? Actually, a 15th century Portuguese explorer. I'm not saying Brazil doesn't have weird names. There's a club named Vitória that is from the state of Bahia. The problem is, Vitória is the name of another state's capital. And Vitória means Victory in english.
  12. PSG look very strong offensively, but they're in need of a great centre-back.
  13. Looking that way.... there would be an earthquake in a galaxy. Is that possible?
  14. Vancover Whitecaps are named for the Whitecap mountains. Which I don't think is too far removed from Nottingham Forrest. Do Earthquakes happen in San Jose?
  15. The funny thing about MLS are the supporters. I mean, their chants are more generic than EWR's PPV name suggestions. Some irrevelant, but still transfer news for y'all. Former brazilian international and Roma right-back Cicinho returns to his country to defend the side of Sport Recife. PSG wing-back Ceará also came back to Brazil. He's agreed terms with Cruzeiro.
  16. I wouldn't give half of that for Leon 'Average At' Best.
  17. Spain only needs to win 2014, I think. Brazil from the 50's and 60's was still better, reminding that it was this brazilian team that inspired Spain's actual style of play. Whilst they inspired Spain, no team has dominated like this current team. Thinking about it now, you're right. They're already the best of all time. If Spain wins 2014, they become gods of football. But never count Brazil out.

  19. I hate when a country/team monopolizes football and starts winning everything, but there's no question that Spain/Barcelona plays the most beautiful football ever seen in the past 20 years.
  20. Where was he coaching before he took over Spain? Seriously, I can't remember.
  21. How? Who out of the 14 who have featured tonight won't be in the squad? The commentator thinks that Xavi will be too old by the World Cup to feature, despite being one of the best midfielders on the planet. And he says Casillas probably will play, despite being arguably the best keeper. Casillas will be 33 at the World cup, Buffon was 34 at this years tournament :/ Anyway, even if Casillas isn't there, they still have Victor Valdes, Pepe Reina, David de Gea. Plus with midfielders like Iker Muniain and Javi Garcia not even in the squad, I think that Spain are set for quite a while. Don't forget about Sergio Canales and Rodrigo ( I'm not sure if it's his name ) from Benfica. Thiago Alcantara is also young.
  22. Only thing I know about this Tyldesley guy is that he's in FIFA. Gosh he's annoying.
