It would be a very emotional Superbowl if we get Atlanta/Baltimore with Gonzales and Lewis playing their last games and both wanting to end it with a ring.

I love the way both Froakie and Fennekin look. Froakie I wouldn't mind evolving into a Water/Fighting type, either. Chespin just comes off as a Grass type Oshawott to me. I'm looking forward to the evolutions for all three, though. Willing to hold out hope that it's more because they are in their 'cute' stage and that the evolutions will make them look more awesome.

By the way, I still have a couple spare Phione on my Black version if anyone wants one.

I dominated the Lions offense with 3 ffs and two picks, pretty nice. Not nice that I lost two of my receivers for 4+ weeks and have to pick up one now. =/ Also, these last few games have been weird. I have had a lot of open lanes to run with my QB while coverage has been pretty tight. Are the teams adapting to me passing so much earlier in the season or is that just random? I have 8 rushing TDs with Luck in just the last few games and I had to sign Chad Johnson, better not give me any issues!

Well, I'm following up finishing LeafGreen by doing four simultaneous games on HeartGold, Emerald, Platinum and White. Here's my current teams and (hopefully) my Elite Four teams.

HeartGold

Current: Totodile, Murkrow, Flaaffy, Elekid, Hoothoot, Zubat. About to take on Bugsy, so this makes sense.

Projected: Feraligatr, Honchkrow, Ampharos, Crobat, Tyranitar, Heracross.

Some of my favourite pokémon in there and I limited myself to Gen II the same way I limited myself to Gen I for my LG game (not that I had much choice). Planning to have Kingdra, Machamp, Arcanine, Noctowl, Mismagius, Exeggutor, Nidoking, Tauros, Slowking and Steelix on standby if I need to change strategy. I did the same sort of thing for LG, but cleared it in one go.

Emerald

Current: Torchic, Taillow, Sableye, Wingull, Ralts, Makuhita. About to take on Brawly, so again this makes sense.

Projected: Blaziken, Sharpedo, Salamence, Aggron, Glalie, Gardevoir.

Again, lots of favourites and limited it to Gen III. I will however keep reserves in Volbeat, Jolteon, Breloom, Altaria, Bannette, Bellossom, Camerupt, Exploud, Muk, Corsola and Wailord, in case I fail horribly.

Platinum

Current: Drifloon, Vespiquen, Monferno, Probopass, Kricketune, Stunky. Just defeated Gardenia, so this made sense.

Projected: Empoleon, Rhyperior, Magnezone, Garchomp, Gliscor, Durknoir.

Never actually played through Gen IV before, but I'm keeping it all Gen IV if possible. I'll probably have to change my team as I don't know what the Elite Four will be like. I'll have Absol, Lucario, Magmortar, Togekiss, Shiftry, Mamoswine, Porygon-Z, Swalot, Chimecho and Metagross in reserve. Should be fun. Last time I played Diamond I got as far as Crasher Wake, and the changes in Platinum have totally thrown me off. Feels like a better game though.

White

Current: Snivy, Munna, Purrloin, Patrat, Lillipup, Panpour.

Projected: No idea.

I know virtually nothing about this game. I knew about the starters and the legendaries. The whole dream mist thing just got revealed to me and I beat the first gym, which was quite awesome with the trio being the gym leaders. Did NOT expect that. I have a Reshiram if anyone wants it, forgot I downloaded it via the wi-fi thingy ages ago. I also have the Victini ticket, so I'll make use of that when possible as well. I don't use legendaries, so they're of no use to me.

I'm enjoying White so far, hopefully it opens up now because it's been very restrictive. Usually I have a bunch of pokémon to choose for the first gym. I didn't even have a full team for the first gym in this game! Felt weird getting Cut so early as well. I love the Global Link thing as well, reminds me of the old GTS website.

I'd quite like the starters I don't have - Charmander, Squirtle, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Treecko, Mudkip, Tepig and Oshawott. Somehow I got Turtwig and Chimchar REALLY easily on the GTS by trading some Cherubi. Felt so weird. Also managed to get other pokémon like Glameow, Stunky and Cranidos the same way. I love the GTS. Love it. LOVE.

Pretty sure I'll need to trade to get a bunch of others, but I haven't worked it out yet, haha! I have a metric assload of Combee (female), Sheildon, Cherubi, Gabite, Ralts (male and female), Drifloon and Togepi that are happy to go from my Platinum game. I know they're kind of hard to get, and some people just don't have patience for rubbing trees with honey (which is a fucking weird concept to begin with).

I just started my White 2 game, but is there anything else you would want for Victini/Reshiram/male Ralts? Probably won't get it until later, but I will keep an eye out of course for anything you wanted.

Recently got this for PS3. Definitely the best COD multiplayer since MW2. Shame Zombies is such a letdown though. I've yet to touch Campaign, I figure I'll do it one day but I've been spending an hour or two a day on multiplayer at least. Hijacked, Plaza, Yemen, and Carrier are all really fun levels with unique twists yet they all maintain a consistency in being very balanced. All in all Blops 2 has I think the best multiplayer maps of any COD game.

If anyone else is on PS3 shoot me your username. I know 360 is where most of the action happens, so I'll be missing out on most of the EWB shenanigans unfortunately.

You have the option so you have to physically go to the unlock screen and choose to unlock everything, it is not just auto unlocked.

So apparently Gail Simone has been let go over at DC.

The editors are fucking assholes, and this isn't the first time it's been shown. Letting Static Shock have its main writing controlled by somebody who had no sense of the character, ending Justice League International in a way that was basically deus ex machina except that the only problem it solved was, "How do we make the end of this series make sense?", getting rid of quite a few characters for the sake of properly establishing a viable time line, and now, releasing the head writer of Batgirl even though she was brilliant at it, and in spite of the early fan hate, the book has been doing decent sales.

Worst part? Gail was let go via e-mail. Not even an in-person meeting, just an e-mail saying that she can stop writing issue #16 of Batgirl, as she was no longer a writer for DC Comics. This wasn't even a corporate decision, this was an editorial one.

Come the end of Death of the Family, I'm dropping the book, because I doubt any new writer is going to make me continue to accept Babs as an acceptable replacement to Stephanie Brown in any way, shape, or form.

Funny you say that now, because she has been put back on the book. She tweeted she has been rehired as the Batgirl writer and that is was not a hoax, the internet won.

Buccaneers trade WR Vincent Jackson for FS Bethea of the Colts. This free's up Ronde Barber to move back to his third corner spot where he is more productive.

The trade deadline passed this week, so I don't think the trade can go through. =(

Uncanny Avengers is looking like it'll be put on the scrip list for a while.

Apparently the artist for Uncanny Avengers is notorious for being late and that is why there are large gaps between the issues. I really enjoy Thor so far though, a different look with the three different time period Thors and I like the creepy villain.

I feel you on the turnovers. I finally traded Donald Brown & Austin Collie due to their fumbles/not catching the ball. Luck has been throwing picks like crazy last two weeks also and it seems he only gets touchdowns when he is able to barely get away from a sack and run in, he has really felt like Tebow the last two weeks.

Are we advancing today? Just want to make sure we are not waiting on me, I am done with finals.

Joker is stunning, if it's the one I'm thinking of. The artwork is phenomenal, and it really takes the "Batman as concept rather than character" idea to its limits; he barely appears, and when he does, he never looks human, just like an abstract impression of what Batman is. I like the idea of that being how The Joker sees him.

On the Batman front though ... thoughts on The Dark Knight ? Didn't even realize I picked up #1 in my New 52 binge ... most of the people I talk to say that the regular Batman book and Detective is the way to go.

I heard bad things about The Dark Knight so never picked it up. I cannot recommend the main Batman book by Snyder enough though. A fantastic book, though the constant crossovers with the 20 other bat books get annoying if you are someone that needs to read all in an event. You do not really miss anything huge by just reading the main book though.

I'm thinking Sunday and Wednesday, starting this Sunday. Also, Plubby, are you out for sure?

Ever read a comic that you think is a woefully shitty idea just because your favorite character is in it? X-23 is not in any other comic so after being spoiled with Avengers Academy I now have to move over to the ridiculously bad sounding Avengers Arena to get my fave in action. I almost feel like it's not worth it, but not counting Spiderman she is my favorite and I've read all her old stuff so it's my only option.

Any of you stuck with a fave character through an awful series?

Basically with Gambit. I am not liking his solo series, but I keep picking it up because I really like the character and it is all he is really featured in.

I remember enjoying a past solo series of his around '99 I think.
