Ohhhhhh yeah. Thiago Alves goes down in the first round with 2:10 remaining. I was worried about this fight, but that makes 3 or 4 wins in a row by KO. Here's to hoping this keeps up. I'm in my last year of my career and have not yet reached the title. I'll be damned if I retire without gold. EDIT: Oh shit... next fight is Maddox vs. Hughes III or IV... FINALLY beat Matt Serra. KO in the 2nd round with a right hook.

Yeah I know how to feel. I had a big PPV match against... hell I can't remember who it was... But I was ranked #9 and I believe they were ranked #6, so obviously a big chance for me to advance. I'm beating the hell out of him but he gets me to the ground, locks on a knee bar or whatever and I couldn't get out of it to save my life.

Why not? It's rather believable. A 16 year career in MMA is pretty damn long. Just retire the fighter and create a new one. EDIT: Speaking of which, I would love for the next game to actually recognize the years that go by. I'm in 2012 or something like that I think and it still says I'm 23. I think it would be cool if they could have it to where your age changes and the aging is visible. They could also maybe implement injuries as well. Maybe have it to where you or your opponent could very well leave the fight with a broken arm or something (but make it VERY rare)... and then those injuries play a role in your character as you progress through your career... and maybe even make it to where you have to go through a very rigorous retraining process upon returning from your injury.

THREE TIMES now I've signed on to face Matt Serra to advance up the ranks on an actual UFC PPV card... and all three times, someone has gotten injured before an earlier card and I've offered to step in. I don't care who gets fucked up this time, I've signed on once more to fight Serra and dammit, it's going to happen. Very next week, someone goes down before a fight with Karo... I'm 3-1 with Karo already, I'm not beating his ass again. I'm going on to Serra!! EDIT: and of course, I don't pay attention to my calendar... and I get to my fight with Serra with 18% stamina... EDIT: UGH... 30 seconds left in the 2nd round... he takes me down with a hard right...

Eh, I kinda wish I could have my vicious kicks as well as some horrifically strong punches, but my punches are weak as shit while my kicks could take someone's head off.

Yep, it's official. Head kicks are my deadliest move. Every fight I've won has been KO with a left foot square the temple or the jaw. Love it.

Dammit. Serra gets injured so I fill in against Swick... and lose in 1:12 in the first round to a random ass punch to the face. BOOO

Woo I was undefeated in Career mode, 5-0. I wasn't paying attention to my calendar and I went into a fight against Karo Parisyan with 0% Stamina. He ended up choking me out with a Guillotine in the first round. Couple months later, 7-1... goddamn tarnished record... and Karo is one of my options for my next fight. I choose him... we go into the second round. He has me down on the mat with I believe it was a side mount. I got out and we both got to our feet... as soon as we're both vertical, kick to the temple and Karo goes down. Woo. Vengeance is mine. EDIT: OHHHH SHIT. And Karo Parisyan goes down with an injury following the fight... he was scheduled to face Matt Hughes in two weeks in a UFC undercard fight. I'm not scheduled to fight until 10 weeks from now against Serra. I step in for Parisyan against Hughes in my first actual UFC PPV fight... here goes nothing. EDIT TWO: FUCK! 8-2... . Goddamn arm bars...

I'm not sure, as I haven't tried it yet, but doesn't the game automatically recognize 5 round matches as title matches? All the 5 round matches I've had, including the ones online end with Dana putting the belt around the winner's waist in the final cutscene. And Bruce Buffer calling it a title match. Yeah, I haven't got the game but I'm sure I read they can be defended in exhibition fights by just choosing a 5 round fight. Oh really? Hmm, I must have overlooked that. Thanks a ton then. I had read a few things elsewhere that said there were no title match. I guess it's somewhat irrelevant though unless somewhere on the fighter selection screen it indicates who holds what titles. I haven't really had time to mess around with it that much yet though.

this game is fucking addicting. i got it last night at midnight... stopped playing at 10am this morning. wont be surprised if i do something close to the same thing tonight. i am a little peeved that theres no title matches in exhibition. yes, i know they are just exhibition fights... but i would like to be able to have title changes between real fighters rather than just in career mode as a created fighter

i played this demo last night for about 2 hours with a friend of mine.. my god is it addictive. i only have Silver here and home so i have to wait a couple days before i can download the demo tho
