  1. Long article so had to put a Spoiler tag on it. Boggles the mind as to why Sony is getting involved. Thought they would of done Myspace first as it was the original social networking site. There were a handful of semi popular social networking sites before Myspace came around. Purerave for example was one of them.
  2. A rip off a spoof? It's the Dark Knight's theatrical trailer... reenacted by children utilizing props that children would have available to them... except perhaps the knives in the jail scene (unless they were fake, i didnt pay that much attention)
  3. But what does 09 have that makes it stand out so much more to a lot of people? People seem to be all for 09, and only go for 2K9 cuz of it's franchise mode... What does 09 have that 2K doesnt?
  4. My pre order list currently has Star Wars: Force Unleashed Saints Row 2 Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 Fable 2 I'm also thinking about NHL 2k9 and/or NHL 09 The only problem is, I've only ever played the 2K series and I prefer sports games with Franchise modes... I've never played the EA series and thus, know absolutely NOTHING about it...
  5. Wow, a cartoon series with a deep and well thought out, mature story to it. Haven't seen that outside of anime in probably ten years. I think I may actually be excited to see that.
  6. Tristy... what is your avatar from? Is that from the DC vs. Mortal Kombat game that is coming out??
  7. Well when the hell did Hulk come out? Wasn't it around the same time as Iron Man?
  8. Hmm I thought that Hulk came out earlier... didn't Iron Man and Dark Knight come out right around the same time? Oh well... one of the three needs to come out soon so I can have something to watch haha. I guess in the meantime I can finish reading Watchmen and order Year One, Long Halloween, and Dark Victory... EDIT: Iron Man comes out on DVD two months before Hulk? What the hell is up with that shit? I swear Hulk came out in theaters before Iron Man did...
  9. I would imagine (and hope) that it's out by Christmas... I'd hazard to guess maybe even Thanksgiving. As long as they don't give it the Star Wars treatment and wait a fucking year or so to release it for sale... A little off topic here, but has anyone seen the new Incredible Hulk movie... and was it any good? ... annnddd any idea when THAT comes out on DVD?
  10. I don't know if someone else said it, but I certainly know that you, Maxx, spazzed the fuck out when I mentioned The Riddle/Mr. Reese thing and you CONTINUE to go on saying people are crazy and/or stupid if they expect the main villain to be a C list actor... Like I said, I don't know if someone else said it, but I never said anything about him being a MAIN villain. Perhaps that is why people are getting so irritated at your rants, because you continuously drive home the fact that the dude will not be a MAIN VILLAIN while you (while complaining about people ignoring what you say) are repeatedly ignoring the fact that no one (to my knowledge anyway) has specified him to be the MAIN villain. Besides, why is it so damn important to you that you need to get annoyed and bitch over and over again? Yeah, you've stated why it wouldn't work. You've stated why he couldn't be a MAIN villain... so what? People are allowed to discuss the possibilities and what they would LIKE to see or what they may THINK will be seen whether you agree with them or not... so just chill and quit with your abrasive responses to other people's opinions. Trust me, I know how it can get irritating sometimes but just chill and ignore it. It's not that hard... EDIT: And to keep on topic... I'd much rather see the next villain (if there is even another movie) be a live and well Two Face or a recast Joker, with someone like Penguin or Harley Quinn as a secondary villain. Penguin if Two Face is the main guy... I mean, Dent took out organized crime... but Dent is dead. Two Face can lead a new insurgence with Penguin fronting it. Quinn if they recast Joker.
  11. Well god bless the PSN... too bad Microsoft has to be a bunch of greedy bastards... but dammit... 360 is so much cooler than my Blu Ray player... rr.. my Ps3..
  12. Dammit. Fuck the dirty XBL whores for requiring a Gold membership to download the demo . Is it free on the Playstation Network? Might just have to check it out on there if it is.
  13. The problem being that the first two movies showed the rise and fall of organized crime in Gotham. Batman has all but wiped it out at this point, which is supposed to make way for the freaks and monsters. I highly doubt we'll see a mob type character as anything more than background noise in future installments. Whatever villains they do use, will most likely come from the rogues gallery, and take some minor-to-major tweaking before they can logically fit into the universe Nolan has crafted. So while I wouldn't rule any character out based on levels of realism, because Nolan will tinker until it works, I would rule out the major use of any character who would be a part of organized crime. True, BUT... the "white knight" of Gotham that had a major hand in disposing of all organized crime in Gotham... is no more. With the almighty Harvey Dent gone and the police's forces all focused on bringing in Batman, it leaves plenty of space for a new crime lord to emerge, which could potentially usher in Penguin. The way I look at it, we could potentially see one to five villains in the next movie, with anything more than three being absolute over kill. 1. There is still a HUGE amount of story to tell with The Joker should they decide to recast him, which might cause some bickering. 2. Should they go the route of Joker being locked up in Arkham, there is the chase of developing the character of Harley Quinn. 3. If Mr. Reese was indeed intended to be a new set up for the introduction of The Riddler, I think that could work out rather well. Just keep in mind that his name "Mr. Reese" or whatever his first name was, could simply be a fake name anyway. There are multiple ways around that snag. 4. Two Face could very well be alive. They only said that Harvey Dent had died... and by all accounts and purposes, he had. 5. With Dent no longer erradicating the underground crime world in Gotham, it opens up the opportunity for new crime lord, such as Penguin to emerge. I don't know, all of those options I think fit quite well into Nolan's universe. I highly doubt we're going to see people such as Killer Croc or Clayface, or even Bane or Mr. Freeze this time around. I'd be shocked if Two Face doesn't somehow play a major role in the next movie, as well as another cameo from Scarecrow, along with the introduction of at least one new character... unless of course they DO recast Joker... ITS NOT ITS NOT ITS NOT ITS NOT JESUS FUCKING CHRIST ITS NOT LET IT GO. Oh I know Bruce Wayne is Batman, oh wow he saved my life. Lets fuck with him. Yeah thats some spectacular character development right there, clearly thats the direction they're going. And clearly its going to be the same guy because Josh Harto is definately the guy Warner Brothers wants on the posters for the follow up to one of the highest grossing films of all time. Now you're just assuming The Riddler will be the main character, which was never even confirmed, and can't be because there is no script even being written right now. Its assumption. Hell, maybe the Riddler will be in the next movie, but not be the main bad guy, thus, a bigger name will get on the poster. And frankly, Warner Bros can put the batman logo on a solid black background, with the title and date, and people will flock. Didn't they do that for some of the Dark Knight promotional material? lol I guess I should have specified that I was thinking more along the lines of Penguin being a secondary character while (if he actually survived, which I still think is very possible) Two Face, or The Joker (via contacts while he is locked inside of arkham) is the one pulling the strings.

  15. Okay so other than The Killing Joke and the two new Batman movies... I've really been out of the loops on Batman for quite a long time. I keep hearing how The Penguin wouldn't fit in a more realistic approach to the Batman universe... Why is that? I mean, isn't he just like... a mob boss with a big fuckin nose and a waddle or something to that extent? What is it that is so unrealistic about him because I really cannot remember. EDIT: And upon doing some research on the character, I really see nothing unrealistic about it. He's short, fat, and has a big noise. He has high tech umbrellas with guns in them and dresses fancy. Okay? The deformities weren't originally in the comics. They used them in Batman Returns, and then they were adopted by the comics and cartoons. He's basically a "classy" criminal. I think if done the way his character is intended to be, he would fit just fine in Nolan's Batman universe.
  16. Okay... help is needed... badly. I had a 360 about a year ago, but I got rid of it. I just recently got a new one but didn't have the network adapter, so I didn't make an XBL account. So, I was saving all of my games to an offline account and whatnot. Well, I got a network adapter today and recovered my old gamertag, and thus deleted my old profile. Now... I have a saved game for Bully and a 16 hour saved game of Lost Odyssey chillin' on my harddrive without a profile to call home... and it wont let me copy/move either of them onto my recovered profile... how the FUCK do I get them on there? Any help is greatly appreciated!
  17. when was the last time this thing was put together as one image? I think it's been a while. I'd really love to see the whole thing again as one image with all the new stuff put to it. BTW you guys are all doing an awesome job.
  18. Odds are this will be settled to where Fox gets a good chunk of the money this movie makes. I'm sure it will still be released, but WB will get screwed over on the profits.
  19. yeah the first time i watched it... i clicked away about 15 seconds into the video cuz I thought it was dumb as fuck. But then, just for fun, I showed it to a friend and we watched the whole thing and ended up laughing our asses off once it got past the annoying part.
  20. now whoever made this... needs to turn that script into a short film!
  21. You know what, I had that little mixed up. The opening scene, he is running the ball and stops, pulls out a gun and shoots the opposing players before dropping to his knees... says "aint life a bitch" and then shoots himself. starts around 3:40
  22. I seem to recall seeing a scene similar to that myself, I think it was in Kids. I am also hijacking. What's the film with an American Footballer running the ball and then he shoots an opposing player or an opposing player shoots him. They then say 'Life's a bitch' or something similar. I think the next scene after that is some kids surrounding a car with some guy in it and then he wakes up and scares them off. I do believe the movie you are referencing is The Last Boyscout. He is running the ball and the game I believe is at night during heavy rain or something like that. A guy on the opposing team pulls a gun out of his pants and shoots him. I seen it once as a kid and that's the ONLY scene I can remember.
  23. Ummm... pretty sure he gets shot point blank in the hand... and has a gaping hole in it. Turns around screaming and stuff, but then turns back around to face the guy, holds his hand up and looks through the hole and starts laughing maniacally as it closes back up.
  24. Thank you for putting that in spoiler tags. Usually I don't mind spoilers, but I will be getting that book sometime between Monday and Wednesday, and I don't want it to be spoiled. What's this about pirate stories though? Ugh. I might just have to skip those as well.
