The fact that Ian Wright is saying that it's all down to application and motivation is just another symptom of the classic English delusion. It's not about how good your tactics or organisation or skills are - it's about whether you have the passion to try hard enough (preferably with a lot of shouting, for good effect).
Everyone knows Ian Wright is only there so that ITV can connect with the misguided youth.
Part of it has to be down to tactics though. Things like not playing Rooney in central midfield and having Harry Kane taking every free kick and penalty are just the basics..
Roy Hodgson has just said the players have been "fantastic"

Whats the excuse this time around then? Lack of grassroots? Lack of tiki-taka style? Too many foreign players in the premier league? Not enough players were in the Under 21 squad?

The bigger question is having not watched the games in between the World Cup and Euros, why was Roy still in charge?
Because he's a tactical genius. Did you not see the substitutions he made in the Wales game?

You'd think so but then again they did struggle against Russia and Slovakia so....

"Iceland didn't try anything. They were just defend, defend, defend and playing on the counter-attack."
I suppose they were to play an attacking formation then so you could score more goals? Greasy orange moron.

My god that looks horrendously frustrating. I could feel my blood boiling just watching the game, let alone playing it.

Well I'll guess we'll just have to agree to disagree then because the game I watched was mostly Real with a slight whimper from Man City. And as I said before, I wouldn't consider Bale's goal lucky.

By that logic, Liverpool deserve the league this year because (I may be wrong) they've had more shots than any other team.
Okay, sign me up to your newsletter.
Paint it however you want pal, if Man City didnt deserve to lose they wouldn't have lost.

He said City didn't deserve to win either. Both teams deserved to lose, Real nicked it with a lucky goal which is...exactly what he said. And true.
Real had 15 shots to Man City's 5 with only 1 on target, I'd say they deserved to lose really - they never looked like making something happen whereas Real were dangerous for most of the game. Also I wouldnt consider Bale's goal "lucky", he was clear through on goal after a nice build up - you deserve to get something if you get into that position.

Any post match reason for this, or just in general?
Just in general but mostly because of his post-match sulking and claims that Real didnt deserve to win the game / got a lucky goal

Oh yeah. These guys came to Chatham to play. We were on earlier that night. At the time it was just the main guy and the girl (they're a couple) and they played along to backing tracks and still had the flashing boxes and lasery lights. It was weird....and quiet....and weird. They were on after midnight and played to like 6 people.
They seem to do well for themselves in the US though.
Jimmy Havoc on bass tho!
In other news, this is my fav D4NNY tune...

Atmosphere in Cardiff tonight was buzzing. Not seen it like that in years. Amazing what a change in management can do for a club.
