  1. Started off okay with Stockport in The Conference Premier. 23 games played so we're half-way in, We were as high as 8th in the early stages of the season and went undefeated in seven at one point but then our form has seen us struggling to pick up points. Currently on 30 points and 11 clear of the relegation zone so I should be happy but we've thrown some results away and struggled against the teams we should probably be beating. The aim is to stay up so I'll be happy if that's achieved but I'm going to have to do well transfer wise in January or in the Summer to improve things as a lot of the players are on two year contracts as none of them were interested in a year extension or only being here one season. My First Choice Keeper has just picked up a concussion so he's going to be missing in games where I'm expecting to be under constant attack so not Ideal.
  2. I don't need a computer to tell me Sunderland are shite.
  3. Tony Hamstring, the man that teams are built around.
  4. Well, I've just finished my second season at Stockport on FM 14. Made a number of free agents to add to the squad and have seen a vast improvement in terms of goalscoring but we were also never far away from the odd hammering also A 6-4 away win over summed up our defensive frailties despite often scoring. Spent the whole season in the top 4. We took 1st place a lot of times but we had some poor runs of form which saw us looking likely to drop away but an enforced change to 4-4-fucking-2 from 4-3-1-2 seemed to pick things up toward the end of the season. We were top on the last day of the season facing Stalybridge away who had to win to stand a chance of finishing 5th which is the last play off spot, we were 2 points clear of Boston with a superior Goal Difference meaning avoiding defeat would clinch the title. We lost the game 1-0 to an early goal, however Worcester managed to score a winning goal in the last minutes against Boston!! It was the least they could have done really, they hammered me twice in the league but failed to get close to the top 5. Problem now is all but one player is out of contract in the summer so I'm going to have to do my best to keep the players I want to keep for next season's challenge.
  5. Halfway through my second season, did okay in the F.A Cup, got knocked out in the 2nd Round against Leyton Orient! @MDK. Hopefully we can win that game in hand when it is eventually played, it seems to rain a lot in Stockport. 35 year old Phil Jevons is leading the scoring in the league with 14 goals in 21 games, he's got 10 assists too! Had a bit of a frustrating run, drawing with a few bottom half teams. The number of goals we are conceding is annoying me despite the fact we've conceded the least in the league we're conceding just over a goal a game.
  6. I don't have 17, last one I bought was 14. Fired up a game the other night and decided to go with the unemployed route, thanks @Benji ! I ended up taking over Conference North Stockport County who were recently relegated. They were 10th when I took over in Mid-Late October, Managed to get them to 5th and to the play-off final but succumbed to a 3-1 loss to Histon after taking an early lead. Moved a few players on who I didn't feel made the grade and have made a few signings that have worked out well so far, best of the bunch is Ronan Murray on a free who has 10 goals in 12 games in the league, Veteran Striker Phil Jevons has also been scoring and assisting for fun this year carrying on where he left off for me, we're currently at the top of the league so doing well at the moment. We've seen off lower league sides in the F.A Cup and managed to get into the 1st Round against Conference side Solihull Moors who won the Conference North last season. Lowest point so far has to be losing to Colwyn Bay last season where I was torn apart by Ade Akinbiyi who bagged a Brace in a 4-0 defeat.
  7. When you're a fan it's easy to say "Well If it were me I'd" because you're just that a fan/supporter. For a lot of Footballers it's a job, why not go where the money is?
  8. One of @Lineker's 823,653,232 teams have Spursed it.
  9. LFC TV are like that, once a goal was chalked off because it was offside but the commentator kicked off and said the ref should have let it stand.
  10. Was hoping Draxler would have been coming to the prem this month, great player.
  11. Out of the deaths throughout this year, this one is the one that got me the most. I was out for a meal with family last night when news broke, my sister let me know. I was 5 years old when the Star Wars Remasters were shown in the cinemas and my first real celebrity crush was on Carrie Fisher. I loved Star Wars and the characters from the moment I saw them and have been with me ever since my Dad took me to the cinema to watch the movies he enjoyed as a young adult. I had also been to see Rogue One with My Younger Brother and my Dad earlier in the day so it all added up to being quite a shock to me even though I knew she was unwell. I got a bit choked up last night.
  12. At least Borini got himself a goal after coming back from injury recently.
  13. What an awful match, I don't think Everton even had a crack at goal.
  14. It's been a while since they bought someone from Arsenal to be fair.
  15. Oh yeah, that challenge he made on Dawson in the first half, definite red and needs a retrospective ban. The fact we play you next has no bearing on my opinion here...
  16. Gonna hate how Man Utd finish in the top four this season.
