The first one was the only one I saw actually.
That is a hell of a blow for Boston. Hopefully everything is okay with him.
On a completely unrelated note, Boo Boston!
Sounds like he was missing his young family. Newborn and two other kids at home.

Giannis is winning the East.
I agree he is the favourite, but if there is any coach that can stop him (and has the team to stop him) I believe it's Nick Nurse.

Tuuka Rask has opted out of the season.

Why not go north? Raptors are the best and you'll look smart picking them now once they win it all.

His contract is objectively the worst in franchise history. $110 million for a 2.7 WAR over the life of the contract. That said, myself and all other Mets fans would’ve been screaming our heads off if we didn’t lock him up.
Don't you guys pay someone like a million dollars every year for the rest of his life? Or is that another team?

I'd rather ties than changing the rules of the game to find a winner.

I know we always joke about certain rules driving us away from different sports, etc but I think this extra inning rule with an automatic running on second is where even I will draw the line.
I understand they’re going out of their way to avoid marathon games when they’re having to play 60 games in 66 days. But if this actually becomes a permanent thing in a normal season, I’m out. That’s not how baseball is supposed to be played.
I wish they / other leagues would embrace ties. Especially during covid.

I didn't like this one as much. Not enough variation in the results.

I'm a very lapsed UFC fan. Watched a replay of Nunes last fight and that encouraged me to buy the show last night. It was a lot of fun. I'm not sure I'll be able to buy all the shows I want, but I'm really looking forward to Cormier / Miocic, so hopefully I can swing that.

I wish UFC wasn't so expensive. I've really gotten back into it with the lack of live sports and I think tonight should be really good but it costs $85
Is that on ESPN? That's obscene. I can get it for $65 Canadian here.

Hockey returns on August 1st and we get a 4 year extension to the CBA which means the earliest we'll see a lock out is 2026. I am so ready for some hockey in my life again!
Plus NHL players will be going to the next two Olympics assuming an agreement can be made with the IOC.

I'm currently working on a 2002 mod for TEW from April 2002, the main elements of this will be
- April 1st will mark the first night of the WWE Brand Extension with Raw and Smackdown rosters set
- Chikara is set to begin in May with NWATNA and MLW set for a June launch
- ROH is still in it's infancy
- Touring promotions XWF and WWA are still active, whilst XPW, CZW and JAPW offer alternatives
- CMLL and AAA dominate the Mexican scene, NJPW, AJPW, Zero-1 and NOAH are the leaders in Japan, and FWA and UK-Hammerlock represent the British market
So where is the mod at the minute? Currently there are 41 Companies added into the game and 1316 workers which are having the profiles/stats updated. The base data for 238 titles (with currently 1225 lineage records), 500 relationships, 60 tag teams and 15 gimmicks have been added - clearly there is still a long way to go with this.
The planned release will be staggered in three parts:
- All worker profiles completed, rosters for all companies in place, full titles and title lineage, TV shows and networks, tag teams, stables, gimmicks, hall of fames/immortals, Power 500 completed. New match types and angles file in place.
- Amendments made/errors fixed from the above. Venues/locations added. Chemistry/Announcer Experience completed. Completed training facilities and graduates. Pictures/agers added for workers
- Further amendments to the above. Match/hair histories, scandals, other TV shows, media groups, eras and narratives finalised
I want every area of the game to be completed
I'm aiming for an ambitious first release in August but that's a bit of a stab in the dark at the minute. Where I could do with help with is rosters for the Japanese/Mexican companies. Any information/links/sites which people have for these would be a massive help!
Wrestling data let's you search rosters by custom years. I usually do three months before and after the start date.

I'm surprised how much I enjoy this.
Is there a difference in teams aside from colour? For example, do some marbles weigh more or is it all basically luck on which ones win?

ESPN article on the end of the XFL.
There are over 30 people / groups interested in buying.

There's going to be a bunch of name issues I think, I've gone back and forth on whether to use real names or not for people who have never been known by anything else. For Strowman, for instance, he's never been known as anything else, and where he's a direct product of WWE, it's not like he has an indy name to fall back on, so I've umm'd and ahh'd over calling him Adam Schurr or Braun Strowman.
For instances like this, you can have Braun Strowman as the default character and create an alter ego called Adam Schurr, with the setting "Use this for All But WWE."

It's apparently the game world rebalancing itself (face vs heel) and it's common even in the CV.

I would use the export database option into excel and find some comparables. Separate them by wrestling style, experience, size, etc and you should have a rough idea.

I believe 4.2 is August 2003.

Multiple sources confirmed to Yahoo Sports that while digital sales were well above expectations, cable and satellite sales figures were well lower than anticipated, which resulted in a sales figure of between 800,000 and 850,000 pay-per-views. That is 25 percent lower than the reported break-even mark of 1.2 million.
The main culprit is theft of the signal. According to Wayne Lonstein of VFT Solutions, which tracks signal piracy, there were between 10 and 20 million live views of the fight on the major social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook, and there were nearly 10 million more that were viewed as video on demand. Many of those latter views were only slightly delayed.
Many bars and restaurants also illegally accessed the figures. Those thefts not only cost the promoters and networks distributing the event, but it also takes money directly out of the fighters’ pockets. Wilder and Fury were each guaranteed $5 million for the rematch, which Fury won by seventh-round TKO. They also shared in the pay-per-view revenues, which were dramatically lower because of the proliferation of piracy.

Apparently the fight lost money due to the amount of illegal streams. They needed about 1.2 million and got 800,000.

I really want to see this but don't think I can justify the $80 price tag.

I'm surprised Trestman went with a young quarterback. All of his success has been with a veteran.

On one hand that is frustrating. On the other hopefully we just have to tweak a few things?
