  1. At least this Michigan season ended with a loss to a team that will likely make the Nat'l Title game. I still have nightmares about App. St. in 2007.

That game was the day of my bachelor party. T'was an added bonus to the night toasting Michigan getting punked.

The worst part about being stuck in SEC country is the irritating way they all stick their chests out whenever any SEC team does something. Tennessee or Ole Miss or Vanderbilt fans get hard-ons piggybacking off LSU, Alabama, anyone that does something remotely relevant, since their teams struggle to do so.

As a Purdue fan, I don't give a shit that Michigan got pimp-slapped, and Penn State tanking against Ohio makes me chuckle. But being surrounded by SEC fans, you'd think they'd all scored the winning TD themselves any time the SEC punks the Big Ten.

  2. Props to Antavian Edison, but none to Kawann Short? Interesting.

As for MTSU, they'd have a watch out game against St. Catherine's School for the Blind, Crippled and Crazy. Someone needs to get me a radio job back in Big Ten country so I can quit having to pay attention to the SEC (they can all die in a fire) and MTSU (I got there too late in life to get caught up in all the rah-rah true to your school bullshit, and those who were digging my show turned on me when I backed Purdue over them this time last year. Frigemall.)

Still don't get all the "oh, Penn State's gonna go 2-10" drama. If they're any worse than 6-6, I'll be amazed. Indiana finishing ahead of ANYONE is a clear sign that the Mayans were right.

  3. Something is going to happen today...

...something that hasn't happened for a long, long time...

...something that probably has never happened...

...the Pirates are playing on ESPN. w00t.gif

And only a month after they lost the division lead, just in time to watch them fade out of wild card contention. ESPN being timely. :shifty:

  4. Dez Bryant has been grounded.

    • A midnight curfew. If he's going to miss curfew, team officials must know in advance;

    • No drinking alcohol.

    • He can't attend any strip clubs and can only attend nightclubs if they are approved by the team and he has a security team with him.

    • He must attend counseling sessions twice a week.

    • A rotating three-man security team will leave one man with Bryant at all times.

    • Members of the security team will drive Bryant to practices, games and team functions.

He also has to sit in his room and think about what he's done. He's also not getting dessert.

But did they take away his video games?!?!?!? OH, THE HUMANITY!

  5. Kendall Wright WR Tenn

Heh heh. Good luck with that. #lockerroominsider

    WR Randall Cobb.

I have faith in both Britt's ability to NOT find the field, and the fact that the Titans don't have any other real option at WR that is decidedly better than him. He's also better suited for a slot guy, which is aimed right at Mr Locker's comfort zone.

Soon as he learns how to run the right routes, he might be in business. That's been slow going so far, though.

Great article about one of the craziest baseball games and players.

Oh, and a lot of PED users grow up in a world surrounded by them, they're available on the shelf. And people are fine taking them because they grow up in absolute poverty, and as with a lot of people who grow up in absolute poverty once you start making money you never feel secure enough and you keep wanting to make more and more because you remember how bad the other side is.

Co-sign on the Dock Ellis article. Read it this afternoon.

  7. You guys want more reasons to not like Dallas, right?

I don't care what you say, I love it

Pepsi is teaming up with artists to release five 'NFL anthems'. Travie McCoy has done one for the Giants and there is also going to be one for Detroit by Kid Rock, one for Pittsburgh by Wiz Khalifa and one for Oakland by Ice Cube.

Fuck this post and all it stands for, because it reminded me of that musical atrocity that Prince inflicted a couple of years ago because the Viqueens apparently needed a fight song. And I love Prince, but that was simply uncalled for.
