This is the problem I have with Jook's breaking-up of the list. I don't mind if he breaks it up, but if he's going to do it in blocks on ten, the maximum length I'd be content to wait during updates is a day. We've exceeded a day now, meaning we'll more than likely have to wait for over ten days to see the finish, and that's just ridiculous. Break it up, fine, but if you have to keep us waiting, keep us waiting for a day and no more.

You all suck. Nikki is brilliance.
-
Not been this sad since Million Dead split up... around this time last year too.
Bugger. Saw them live twice, were very good indeed.
-
Anyone who hasn't voted yet, you have until the 7th to do so.
And please, vote for some good bands. If the list stays like this, I think I'll kill myself.
-
Black Holes and Revelations is a phenomenal record. Really brilliant songs on it from start to finish, and not just the singles - Map of the Problematique, Take a Bow, and Invincible are brilliant songs. The singles themselves are awesome, and as usual Muse strike the balance between all of the genres they take their influences from.
Starlight is also one of the most beautiful songs they've ever written. Falling Away With You is more so, but not by much. The new album = awesome.
Supernature, not so much, but it's still a damn fine album. Not as good as her earlier work, perhaps, but still really great songs and great tunes all the way through.
-
PS: No Goldfrapp love makes me a sad panda.
-
This is horrible. Really, really horrible. I predict more arguements than the first two. Should be fun.

I've seen them twice- both times at Carling Academy in Birmingham. Second time I was ill and I didn't enjoy it so much but the first time was one of the best performances I've ever seen. It was incredible.
I prefer Frances to Deloused. I haven't heard the new one yet, waiting for its full release, but I'm looking forward to it.
-
It's that time again... (It's not really, I should wait another 2 months but as I'm jobseeking and have little else to do I thought I'd do it now...)
Put your 10 bands and solo artists in order.Your number one will get 10 points, number 2 will get 9 points and so on.

People liked the Strokes second album?
Bloody hell...
I just don't like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs second album. It just doesn't work for me. The last track is amazing though.
-
I'll echo everyone else and say Muse, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails...
The Mars Volta as well. I think FTM was much better than Deloused, but I know that it's a much debated subject...
Biffy Clyro too, The Vertigo of Bliss pissed all over Blackened Sky, which I thought was a fairly standard rock record.
The Dears 'No Cities Left' is probably my favourite second album. It's a masterpiece. Not only that, but the first album was pretty awful.
A few others would be Secret Machines, The Smiths...
Some bands that I've loved the debuts of have came back with terrible second efforts: The Strokes, Funeral For A Friend, The Libertines, Hope of the States, Yeah Yeah Yeahs...
I'm currently waiting for The Departure, Kasabian, Death from Above 1979 and yourcodenameis:milo's second records... let's hope that they live up to the first albums.
-
Joe Mangel isn't coming back...
Interview with him here:
http://www.neighboursfans.com/forum/index....showtopic=9249&
-
Stu is gone...
Glad they gave him a happy ending though. Big Kev! Aceness.
The whole Sky/JP thing is boring me already.
-
YEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!
-
The ball's ridiculous. There could be far too many goals in this tournament...
-
I've put a few quid on Borgetti at 48-1. Top scorer in qualifying, apparently Mexico's top scorer ever... either way he's good, and Mexico have an easy group.
-
Supermassive Black Hole.
-
The second half is so, so much better than the first half. The first half is more Absolution, the second more OOS.
