Apparently the T-Wolves have also come to terms with an offer for Nicolas Batum... Believed to be 4years-$45 million with incentives that could push it past $50 million...

I don't see why Portland would match that offer... I don't think Batum is anywhere near worth a deal that big and honestly I think it's the worst deal so far of this off-season...

Quom, I still think the T-Wolves would have missed the playoffs last season... I think they probably would have finished 9th in the West... I hope Rubio comes back strong as he was before the knee injury but I think it'll take time for him to get his confidence back...

Brandon Roy agrees to a 2 year-$10 million deal with the Timberwolves...

I think this a great signing and the timberwolves are getting someone to fill a spot and need badly... If Roy comes back anywhere near as good as he once was, this could be something that puts the wolves closer to getting back to the playoffs...

Eric Gordon and the Phoenix Suns have agreed to terms on a maximum-salaried contract worth $58 million over four years.

Gordon, the New Orleans Hornets' star shooting guard, will sign the offer sheet on July 11th. Because Gordon is a restricted free agent, the Hornets will then have three days to match the offer.

New Orleans has claimed all along that it will match any offer Gordon receives, but Gordon is hoping the Hornets do not match.

Gordon said Tuesday night that his preference is to play for the Suns, not the Hornets.

"After visiting the Suns, the impression the organization made on me was incredible," Gordon said in a statement. "Mr. (Robert) Sarver, Lon Babby, Lance Blanks, the Front Office Staff and Coach (Alvin) Gentry run a first-class organization, and I strongly feel they are the right franchise for me. Phoenix is just where my heart is now."

Gordon's desire to leave the Hornets puts a damper on what had been a terrific week for the club. Last Thursday, New Orleans selected Anthony Davis with the No. 1 pick in the draft and guard Austin Rivers at No. 10.

The league-wide assumption was that Gordon and the two rookies would form a trio that would lead the Hornets back to relevance. Of course, that could still be the case if New Orleans matches the offer.

Gordon would prefer to play in Phoenix, but sources with knowledge of the Hornets' thinking confirmed to ESPN.com that New Orleans will match the offer.

I don't know how Eric Gordon makes the Suns any better than they currently are without Nash but I like the move been a Suns fan (even though the Hornets will match the offer)... I just wish Nash would stick around or Phoenix would work out a sign and trade with New York or something...

In Australia, to referee at higher levels of basketball (not just pro levels) you have to pass fitness tests and other various testing before they allow you to ref... I just assumed that was the same everywhere and I've got no problem with them doing that anyway, they're getting paid to do it, they're not just there for fun...

How three referee's can miss blatantly obvious calls or make bad calls without another overruling is beyond me and something needs to be done about the system but it never will... Think it's just something everyone will have to live with...

Artest gets a 7-game suspension for the elbow... Pretty close to what I thought he would get (somewhere in the 7-12 range)... Think the Lakers only have 2 games left on the schedule, so he'll be out for the majority of the first round as well...

I don't know that this really hurts the Lakers a great deal but I still don't think they'll do too well in the playoffs and wouldn't be surprised to see them ousted in the first round by the Mavs...
