That was perfect. Not overly sappy, sentimental when it needed to be, funny still. It worked perfectly to me. Everything ended like I wanted it to, and I'm glad they did what they did with JD's "home movies" thing to wrap up some possible thoughts on his future.
Excellent, excellent. Can't even discuss it any more thoroughly.

And for me, the second episode was excellent. I was seriously not expecting that goodness.

Good God I can't stand John Malkovich. The way he acts, the way he talks, nothing. He has never, ever, done anything for me. He distracted me in Con Air, he bored me in Shadow of the Vampire, and while I can admit he had a creepy glare in his eye, he just does nothing but make me change the channel.

"Angel's Son" by Sevendust, dedicated to the late Lynn Strait of Snot. I know there's a whole album of Snot dedications with lots of great singers on there, but this was the biggest one from that album.

MTV Article: 50 won't stop making solo records.
Didn't see this, thought I'd post it. Apparently, even if Kanye outsells him, he won't stop making albums. Also calls Kanye a worker bee and says he's a boss of the game. Usual shit, really.

Bernard Fanning's "The Thrill Is Gone". Fantastic track.

The originals by Plankton were fun reads on their own and actually renewed my interest in Booker T as a real wrestler in the first place, so to say that I'm interested in this is obvious. It all looks really good, and all that bugs me is the misspelling of Alex Shelley's last name. I'll try to keep up with this diary, see if it matches the original material like Superman Returns...or if it's fluff like Alien versus Predator.

I've read this thing from front to back and maybe I'm overlooking something, but it's driving me nuts. The diary's interesting and all...but who the hell is Key? I must have overlooked something or whatever, but all I can get is that Key is big and he's maybe black and Charles Wright manages him. I won't say Mark Henry, I think he was in this diary somewhere else, but please tell me who that is.

Chris Cornell did a nice acoustic live in Sweden CD in general...as well as covering a nice bluesy "Billie Jean". I highly recommend it.

Wasn't it the other way around? I thought Love wanted it released and that was the big problem, since she (or somebody...fuck I forget) owned a majority of the estate, she wanted to release it.

I seem to be still having a hard time finding good Shannon Ward/Lucy Furr pics...does anyone have any?

I seem to be having a problem getting good Shannon Ward/Lucy pics...does anybody have any? I searched the topic, but didn't seem to turn up anything.
And, please...no Daffney shots. I'd like her to be relatively serious.

Ignoring the obvious problems that Be mentioned...the cards need to be fleshed out. If you're going to be random, you'd better have more reason to the randomness or it's gonna look really fucking stupid, if that makes any sense. Randomly putting the IC belt on HTM and some random guy named Tra and renaming Val Venis Jack Carter (the most generic name to give a guy joining a group with a guy named Triple H and a guy nicknamed Heart Break Kid)...they're not just random, they're retardedly so.
Your booking notwithstanding, there could actually be something worthwhile to this diary in the long run if you actually give logical reasons why you are doing such random things. I hope that all made sense, as I'm sure the notion of logic attached to random booking doesn't really mesh together.
EDIT: Misspelled something. A wonderful part of this board is its editing feature...just like grammar and spell checks on your Word programs...

So...is i too much to hope this character is related in some way to his Machete from Spy Kids?
Not that I've seen any Spy Kids flicks, but I saw the shit Machete does in this trailer...and somebody like that needs to be around those kids.

All I can add is Eraserhead. But hey, one more than before.

I couldn't find it in the search, but I'm a huge fan of the over-the-top indulgence of Tool's "No Quarter" cover.

Add me to the Undressed, Yes Dear, and SportsNight lists.
Oh, and what about HBO's Oz? I never could find a soul who liked it as much as I did around here. Same for FX's Over There.

I'm sure this is also a very obvious one, but Bullet for My Valentine's cover of "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)" is excellent. I enjoyed...
AFI's "Head Like A Hole"
Deftone's "The Chauffeur"
(hed) PE's "Sabbra Cadabra"
RA's "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic"
Obviously Disturbed's "Shout 2000" and "Land Of Confusion" dope's "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)"
Velvet Revolver's "Money"
Life Of Agony's "Don't You (Forget About Me)"
...and to a lesser extent (for rocking's sake), Oasis' "Helter Skelter".

I really like Young Buck, Lloyd Banks, and Game. The downside to really the entire rap industry is 50. I mean...he's got this real BSB rap thing down pat...it's what suburban white boys and foreigners think hip hop is all about.
50 can't sell without beef. Period. He will never, ever, make a rap record and pull it off without beef. It's the only way he thinks he can keep in touch with the streets.

[Editor's Note: Since we originally published this story, THQ has since contacted IGN to inform us that the company had made an internal clerical error and announced the wrestler, "Eugene," by mistake. THQ regrets the slip-up and asked that we remove the personality from our list.]

Well...my last concert was a Staind acoustic set in Melbourne, Australia...and my next one is Aerosmith and Motley Crue in Charlotte, North Carolina. No doubt about it, I'm hardcore.

I'm looking for an EWR icon to put in the place of the blue and white window icon. I had one once that was black and gold. Does anyone have any that they could send my way?

While I'm not one to judge the writing and quality of a show solely on the theme music (they can't all be X-Men or Batman:TAS), I get where you're coming from.
The uber-comic book movie tournament
in Movies & TV
Posted
Maybe this is my non-geeky side showing, but is Terminator, Robocop, and Hancock based off of some graphic novel I'm unaware of? If not, is this site's criteria for being a comic book movie less about being based off actual comic books and more sci-fi? I mean, I know, Robocop and Terminator have been in comics, but I thought they were all, you know, after the initial movie.
