idk if you can get Britbox overseas, but it sounds just like what OP wants.
I downloaded it on my Roku but I didn't know it was a subscription service - I'm going to look more into it...

If you love 8 Out of 10 Cats then you MUST watch Taskmaster. The perfect TV show for quarantimes, just pure hilarity and escapism. I believe it's on YouTube now.
I loooooove 8 Out Of 10 Cats - Jimmy Carr hosted a few shows that aired here on Comedy Central that I just didn't appreciate at the time. I'm gonna check out Taskmaster now.
The nonsense of spending 15-20 minutes of the show doing things that have nothing to do with the show just tickle me - Richard Ayoade's appearances crack me up.

With TEW 2020 being released at the end of the month, activity might pick up as soon as we get a RW mod, IMO.
LOL I just downloaded EWR 4.2 and I may hop in on that again - just excited to have something to do.

I was having a conversation about him the other day with my best friend - Lean On Me is a song where you can hear the emotion coming through the words/singing - like PLEASE swallow your pride...it just gets me every time. I really think it's in that class of songs like Yesterday and Let It Be.
Lovely Day and Ain't No Sunshine are simple themes expressed so well.

I loooooooooove 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown - thankfully someone puts up the new episodes in full on YouTube. I've been going back and watching old ones, too.
I'll check into these other shows - I've had a lot of luck with DailyMotion.

I watched the reunion after it was on Gogglebox and liked it but could tell I needed to go back and watch old episodes to get some of the jokes.

I miss regularly scheduled British TV as US TV is fucking shit.
Yeah, there's not a whole lot I really like right now - I finished Mr. Robot and Bojack Horseman. I really like Westworld but I can't say there's much else I'm really enjoying in US TV right now.

I'm beginning to think that this has become a dead forum for everything EWR or TEW.
I'm honestly surprised it isn't a little busier with everyone being stuck at home.

The reason is that it's shite
Loads of shite shows hits double-digit series - just look at Big Bang Theory.
LOL any recommendations for other British shows? I appreciate the sensibilities/perspectives, I guess. There's a really shitty American version - I think it's The People's Couch

But yeah Gogglebox is shite.
LOL thanks - my best friend goes over for work and came back introducing me to those shows and Nando's. I was just curious because I remember a lot of people from the UK posting here when I was a regular 15 years ago or so.

Thanks! I'll check them out - I've seen a few shows through Gogglebox I want to find - Gavin & Stacey and Eastenders. Opinions?

Oh it's shite.
You hate Gogglebox? Any particular reason?
I was wondering if it's a super popular show there with 15 seasons and all...

Recently, my best friend has gotten me into a few UK shows - 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Gogglebox.
Anyone else watch? Who's your favorite?
Giles and Mary crack me up, Jenny and Lee second, and Pete and Sophie in a close third.

Red Dead starts slow, gets AWESOME towards the middle, but then slows down again at the end. It's strange, I felt it could've ended two or three different times.
-
I got it and I must say, the game plays a bit differently. They've done a lot to improve presentation. I like it a lot so far.
-
Has anyone beaten Heavy Rain yet? I'm just preparing myself for how much time I'm gonna need to put in on it.
-
I couldn't believe what a great actor Steve the Pirate from Dodgeball is.
I had a weird feeling that Ballard was Alpha for a while and that the house was watching him.
Well done season finale, I can't wait for Season 2! Maybe they can find a better night for it.
-
Strange that a DEN-ORL final is a distinct possibility consider how everyone (including the league) seemed to want it. I love LeBron, but he looked bad down the stretch last night. He had no help, either.
I would love for Denver just to take it all so Billups could throw a figurative middle finger at the Pistons.
-
I'm not so sure the defense was so bad on the last play of the CLE-ORL game. They wanted to push LeBron away from the basket and make him turn around to make the shot. He just happened to hit the perfect shot.
-
Amazing that Donte Stallworth killed someone, yet he is somehow still not as bad as Michael Vick?
-
Horrible defense on that last play by the Magic. They just lost the series there. I hope Howard clotheslines Ron Jeremy after the series is over.
Way too early to call anything. I think both series are going seven games. Incredible playoffs! I jumped off the couch at that last shot from LeBron.
-
As talented as Adam was, he will not be more commercially successful than Kris Allen.
I was sad to see Allison leave so early. She is very, very talented and I think she could make an album somewhere in between Pink and Heart. Her performance with Lauper was pretty cool.
Danny struck me as Taylor Hicks but more mainstream marketable. I liked Taylor Hicks a lot too, but he hasn't found his niche yet.
-
Super excited about this show getting renewed. I was actually upset I had become so emotionally invested in what I thought was a "lame duck" show.
-
How strange would it be to see Orlando/Denver in the finals?
-
Like I said, I'm tired of the media coverage of it as well but that has more to do with the fact that there's nothing else going on in the NFL right now so any story that can be considered fairly big news is going to be blown out of proportion just so they have something to talk about. I mean, they already analyzed the NFL draft before the players even start playing in the NFL, they already overdid the NFL schedule release and they already talked about the new rules taking effect. It's the NFL downtime seriously now and since it's the most popular league in the US, it's almost like it's essential that they have some story to run about it no matter how little it is or how many times you've already been beaten over the head with it.
The thing is, the NFL is ready to roll the red carpet out for this guy's retirement, and they've basically done it twice now. I just wish he would do some more soul searching before he makes these announcements and decisions, because instead of seeming like a guy who loves the game, he seems like a guy who likes playing the media.
-
I've watched this show all season...this and Dollhouse, although I think Fringe has a better chance of sticking around.
Amazing ending to the show...I called whose name would be on the gravestone, just based on different things that irked me during the season. And the ending and the idea of "two of everything" kinda gave it away where the show was heading towards.
Great first season. Can't wait for its return in the fall!

This whole thing is making me hate Brett Farve. I can understand wanting to play if the body allows it, but take some time and consider everything before making these huge announcements. Handling it like this makes me think it's more about his ego than anyone makes it out to be.
Everyone thinks its about ego already, you're just catching up to the party now. Farve's whole image is fabricated, everything about the guy is pretty much a lie. He's an egomaniac that will keep doing this "will he, won't he" dance until he actually cannot play anymore. What little respect I had for him left when he held the Packers hostage, then it became contempt when he joined the Jets. Now? I just don't give a shit about it anymore. I know his game, and what he's about. He gets off on the publicity. So yea, he'll come back, have a shitty season and disappear for another six months.
I guess I'm naive for wishing he really was the "good ol' country boy" who just loves to play the game. I want that type of guy to exist in this day and age.

I finally got a ps3 two weeks ago. So far, I have and have been playing the crap out of The Simpsons Game, All Pro Football 2k8, NBA 2k9 and Rock Band.
I see GTA IV is at 40 bucks now. I'm gonna assume it's worth it?
I'm thinking of picking up some other budget titles, like Resistance 1.
Any other recommendations? I think LBP looks interesting.

I watched this yesterday - the wrecks are insane and I don't feel guilty laughing about them. It's fun to see some different people get a chance and I like that they are still sneaking sponsors in their rigs and stuff like that.
