  1. I know the games will last a while with Wi-Fi play and the like, but the long term line-up is what's bothering me. There is a distinct lack of games aimed at someone like me who's 21 years old. I don't want all my games to be violence-fests like Resident Evil, but something a little more "grown up" than crap like Over The Hedge, Cars, Scooby Doo and the like. Anything good due before Christmas that someone can make me aware of and convince me to get one of these things? I sooooo badly want to want one, but I need to know there's stuff that's gonna come out that justifies me buying it.
  2. I would recommend Madden over all other football sims. I liked certain parts of the 2K series (the ESPN presentation was cool, especially the replays of the first half on XBox), but I HATE the passing game.

My only major gripe with Madden is when the CPU-ran offense becomes unstoppable. It doesn't happen all the time, but man, is it annoying when it does.

  3. I'd have to say this has been the most exciting NBA Playoffs in a long, long time.

Glad to see two clubs looking for their first championship in the finals. Being a longtime Shaq fan, I'd like to see him bring this one home. Dallas has a team that could be great for years to come, Shaq doesn't have as much left in the tank.

That being said, I'm also enjoying some parity within the league. The Clips played some great ball this year (now 2 competitive teams in LA), Dallas, Suns, Spurs, Detroit, Cleveland etc. etc. Lots of teams will be back in the hunt next year.

  4. Playing FIFA 06 and watching the build up to this on ESPN has gotten me really excited for this year's World Cup. I've never been too into football before, but man, it was awesome seeing how rabid the German home crowd was today in their match vs. Costa Rica.

One observation from a novice fan is that Costa Rica looked very, very overmatched. Germany seemed to control the game from all aspects (from what I watched), save that first breakaway goal.

I'm really hoping the US can advance. Did I read right in that they were robbed in the 02 Cup?

MLS has seemed to catch on somewhat here in the States, if the US can fare well, I think it can push a little higher.

  5. One interesting part about the Dreamcast is that the games are in CD-ROM format, so you can find a lot of burnt copies of games if you look around.

Plus, burnt Japanese games can play on it without modification. Fire Pro Wrestling on the DC is pretty sweet.

  6. I really enjoy reading this diary, your TV show format is easy to read and isn't long winded.

With that said, I really enjoyed the format of your earlier shows. Although longer (and probably more difficult/time consuming to write), I got a better handle on the motivation of the characters involved.

Otherwise, good stuff. Always glad to see someone doing something original in the Dome.

  7. I'm so glad they resolved the cliffhanger in the first episode and didn't drag it out.

I get a weird vibe about Jeri Ryan's character. I read in an interview with the show's creator that she may be working for someone and in turn, watching Kirsten in rehab.

Did anyone else think that after Ryan woke up they were going to try to write it all off as a dream?

  8. I'm at backlash in the cage against Triple H, I play the match...30 minute time limit draw, I say meh must be a fluke try again. ANOTHER DRAW! What the fuck am I doing wrong? My problem isn't getting him down long enough to get out it's the stupid A taping before the Stamina goes down and you fall to the middle. I've gone up with full stamina and still can't get up there.

    HELP!?

  9. It's been a great year for G.O.O.D. Music. First John Legend's Get Lifted (one of the best albums all year), then Common's Be (my favorite hip hop album until...), and finally Kanye's Late Registration.

I'm a big fan of Hey Mama, My Way Home, Touch The Sky and the singles.
