  1. It would've been nice to get some closer on the Ballard vs. The Dollhouse story. I mean, he's trying to prove it exists, he gets there and then he's working for them? I understand why...apparently he wants to save Echo, but from the Dollhouse's perspective, it's like they kept him alive for a reason? To help them find Alpha?

To top it all off, I sometimes think EVERYONE inside the dollhouse is a doll.

  2. Wow, that season finale was incredible. I like the open ending, in case they bring it back.

To begin with, it was put on a weird night. Fridays? I always watched it through DVR.

It took a while to really get going, but I think the early episodes set up the later episodes really well.

It seems like all the shows I like are always in danger of being canceled. Thank goodness the Gods have smiled upon Friday Night Lights.

  3. This whole thing is making me hate Brett Farve. I can understand wanting to play if the body allows it, but take some time and consider everything before making these huge announcements. Handling it like this makes me think it's more about his ego than anyone makes it out to be.

  4. Adding to this QB conversation, it's fascinating to me the players who have success in college, yet fail miserably in the pros. The commentators always speak of a "Pro-style Quarterback", but honestly, who would've thought Tom Brady would be so successful? Or Matt Cassel, who barely played in college? Is it the system their brought into, the coaches, etc? Who knows?

It almost seems silly to load up in the draft on skill position players, but this is coming from a Steelers fan.

I guess that's why people have their front office jobs, to find the diamonds in the rough.

  5. Another thing to look for is key players. If you are on defense and the other team has a great WR (Steve Smith, Terrell Owens, etc.) you want to double team that player as much as possible.

Another suggestion is to run out of "passing formations". Such as shotgun or any 3 or 4 WR sets.

Oh, and keep running the same type of plays until the defense proves they can stop it. It'll set up other plays (for example, running to set up play action passes).

Hope that added a little to the thread.

  6. In the United States, I think we need to become more educated about the game of futbol/soccer to understand how exciting of a game it actually is.

Unfortunately, many games have been modified to increase scoring, whereas futbol is typically a lower scoring affair. I love how much drama that adds to each goal.

MLS is about to sell its national TV rights for the first time and there is talk of some of the world's best coming over to play, at least for a season or two (Beckham being one example). I hope these stars can come over here and excel both in the sports world and in the mainstream media.

  7. I was wondering if there is a promotion/relegation system in this game? I've been playing in the K-League where it's not an option but was thinking of switching to FA Football League Two and trying to move up if I can.

  8. I was given a 25 dollar Circuit City giftcard for Christmas and picked this game up for 5 dollars out of my own pocket.

I love the game, bought it well before the WC started and didn't even know much about the game until then. It has given me a MUCH better understanding of how the game works.

  9. I hate to keep asking (stupid?) questions, but is it a text-based sim or a manager sim where you get to play the games?

I do like the idea of learning more about the game - the promotion/relegation system plus the contract system are both fascinating.

  10. For the sake of futbol in America, I hope the US can at least advance.

MLS is finally turning the corner to be profitable, and any boost in popularity could help the league's owners get those futbol-only venues they need.

  11. FIFA is my only option and currently, I'm addicted.

I am playing as the Pohang Steelers in the K-League, looking to move on after a few seasons to MLS.

I like the game, as a whole. It's given me an understanding of futbol and I'm currently engulfed in World Cup fever! So, if you are a futbol newbie, I think FIFA is as good as any game.
