    WWF Raw

    January 8th 2001

San Jose Arena (6,820) – San Jose, California

NO CHANCE THAT’S WHAT ‘CHA GOT! We kick off Raw with the despicable trio of WWF owner Vince McMahon, his daughter Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and WWF Champion Kurt Angle. We can barely see them through a see of blue shirts, as a whole host of security guards accompany them. The crowd give all three a piece of their mind but the trio remain unstirred as they enter the ring and security surrounds the ring. Mr McMahon is handed a microphone and an “asshole” chant starts up, much to Kurt’s annoyance but Vince just takes it in his stride.

Vince McMahon “It’s alright Kurt, who gives a damn what a bunch of hippies think?”

The crowd give Mr McMahon even more hell as Kurt laughs.

Vince McMahon “Before we begin let me make one thing clear, I am not here to give you people an explanation. Frankly you people don’t deserve an explanation. Hell, I’m Vince McMahon damn it and I don’t answer to you! I don’t answer to anyone!”

The crowd continue to boo Mr McMahon as he pauses.

Vince McMahon “Now with that out the way, let me move on to why I am out here. Austin! Last Thursday on Smackdown you lost against *Pointing to Kurt Angle* the WWF Champion in a classic match. *The crowd boo* It was a great match and you came so close Austin, but you just fell short. Now that shouldn’t be a problem, hell most people would want to shake my hand for the opportunity I gave you but you’re no ordinary man are you Austin? You’re “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, you’re the Texas rattlesnake; you’re the baddest son of a bitch in the business! I’m a smart man Austin and I’ve dealt with you before, I know you’re gonna go all out to get your hands on me, well let me tell you Austin *McMahon points to the security* that’s not gonna happen! I also know that you’re gonna demand a title rematch and guess what? That’s not gonna happen!”

The crowd start to chant asshole again and an annoyed Vince waits for them to die down.

Vince McMahon “But despite what you people obviously think, I am a fair man, which is why I have booked *Looking at Kurt Angle* you in another match just days after your big title defence. I want to show I have no favourites so tonight it’s going to be Kurt Angle Vs THE ROCK! *The crowd go nuts as Kurt looks a little taken aback* And as for you Austin, I’ve given you the night off.”

Suddenly the titantron goes live to Austin out back in the parking lot in his 3:16 monster truck as the crowd go nuts

Steve Austin “I’d love to be there in person to show you what I really think of ya but since you surrounded yourself with more security then I drank beers I guess I ain’t invited. So old Stone Cold’s drank really hard and tried to come up with a solution to his problem and……………………………..”

Austin stops and downs a beer before tossing it aside as the crowd cheer.

Steve Austin “So I have a solution to the problem, you say you’re not gonna give me a title shot? You say that’s not gonna happen?”

Vince McMahon “You had you’re chance Austin and there’s no chance in hell, I’m gonna give you another title shot.”

Steve Austin “Then I best see what I can do to change ya mind.”

Austin throws the monster truck into gear and the camera pans away to show Austin driving over a limo, Mr McMahon’s Limo! Vince is irate!

Vince McMahon “What the hell are you doing? You think I’m gonna give you a title shot now? Damn it! Security! We’re going down there!”

The camera focuses on Austin as McMahon and company make their way down the ramp.

Steve Austin “I ain’t even started yet. You’re gonna give me a title shot Vince cause if you don’t I’m gonna make you’re life a living hell. AND THAT’S THE BOTTOM LINE 'CAUSE STONE COLD SAID SO!

Jerry Lawler “I don’t believe what Austin just did JR! Is he crazy?”

Jim Ross “No King, he’s just damn pissed off! You don’t mess with the rattlesnake!”

    Commercial Break

    APA Vs The Dudley Boyz

Before the match we are shown “during the break” and McMahon and company with security searching for Austin in the parking lot to no avail. Back to the match and a brawl to start us off as four big bulls look to dominate, APA seem to gain control and Bradshaw begins to wear down D-Von with a pound and ground attack. D-Von back off the ropes with a shoulder block! D-Von tags in Buh Buh and now the Dudley’s have control. The Dudley’s do a good job of isolating Bradshaw and keep the fresh man in. Farooq has had enough and comes in to break up the count; illegal man Buh Buh takes him over the top to the outside and follows him and both men brawl on the outside. CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL! Bradshaw buys himself some time! Both legal men are flat out! Buh Buh goes flying into the steel steps as Farooq gains control on the outside. Farooq come in the ring. D-Von is thrown off the ropes, CLOTHESLINE! D-Von takes them both down. D-Von is on fire now with constant knockdowns to both APA members. Farooq is clotheslined over the top. D-Von has Bradshaw in control but wait, here come Edge and Christian. They have D-Von distracted; D-Von gets back to business, CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL! This time Bradshaw covers, one, two, three! Edge and Christian cost the Dudleyz the match and boy are they happy with themselves.

    Winners: APA

We go backstage to Vince alone in his office bar some security and looking extremely pissed off. There’s a knock on the door and Trish Stratus walks in.

Vince McMahon “What do you want?”

Trish starts to flirt with Vince by running her finger up and down his chest.

Trish Stratus “Well I couldn’t help but notice what happened earlier and was wondering if I could “de-stress” you?”

Vince starts to smile at Trish proposition but is rudely interrupted by Undertaker who glares at Trish.

Trish Stratus “I think I’ll come back later.”

Trish leaves and Vince looks extremely pissed off once more.

Vince McMahon “What the hell do you want?”

Undertaker “First of all I want you to show me respect or I’ll be forced to beat it into ya.”

The security guard moves towards Taker to protect McMahon but McMahon ushers him away.

Vince McMahon “Who are you to demand anything from me? I’m the owner of this company and I pay your wages Taker. You better remember that.”

Undertaker “Then let me put it a different way.”

Taker grabs Vince by the throat and gets right into his face as the crowd cheer. The security guard now does come towards Taker but Taker drops McMahon and lays security out with one punch to a loud pop. Taker then grabs McMahon again.

Undertaker “Tonight I want a tag team match, I don’t care who against but my partner will be my brother. You’re gonna give me this McMahon or I’ll be forced to break every bone in your body!”

Taker releases the grip and McMahon tries to get some air back into his lungs.

Vince McMahon “Ok, ok. Tonight it’s going to be Undertaker and Kane Vs Rikishi and William Regal. Ok?”

    Undertaker “Smart move old man.”

Taker leaves a still rather ruffled Vince McMahon.

Jerry Lawler “Undertaker can’t do that to Vince McMahon!”

Jim Ross “You should go tell him that King, I’m sure he’d listen.”

Jerry Lawler “I think I’ll pass JR.”

Jim Ross “I thought you might.”

    Commercial Break

Matt Hardy w Lita Vs Perry Saturn w Terri

Well Lita is with Matt for this one and Saturn even has Terri but the crowd are still pretty dead. Hardy starts off strong and comes off the ropes with a spin kick to take the early advantage. Saturn comes back with a neckbreaker. Saturn has control. Hardy off the ropes, ducks a clothesline. Crossbody block and a near fall! Hardy has control again. He has Saturn hooked up for a Twist Of Fate but Terri has Hardy’s leg. Matt turns around and Saturn rolls up Hardy for a near fall. Saturn takes Matt down with a clothesline. Terri distracts referee Jack Doan on the apron and Saturn gets a steel chair. Saturn has a chair! Lita enters the ring now; Lita takes the chair off Saturn and kicks him down low! Matt turns him around TWIST OF FATE! Terri has jumped down and Matt covers. One! Two Three! Matt Hardy wins! Matt gets a shot at Chris Benoit for the Intercontinental Title! Matt and Lita embrace.

    Winner: Matt Hardy

Action switches backstage and to Undertaker’s locker room, Kane walks in and doesn’t say a word, he just looks at Undertaker with a confused expression.

Undertaker “If you here for answers then you can forget it, I’ll answer all the questions in that ring tonight when me and you take on Rikishi and Regal, you just get yo’r ass ready.”

Taker walks off leaving a still confused Big Red Machine.

Jerry Lawler “What is The Undertakers motive here JR? What is he trying to prove?”

Jim Ross “I don’t know King but I have a feeling we might find out tonight.”

    Commercial Break

Billy Gunn & Tazz Vs Right To Censor (Bull Buchanan & The Goodfather)

Bull Buchanan has been getting some stick from a few smarks in the crowd recently, regardless he and Tazz start off and Bull’s power see’s him take an early advantage. Tazz rebounds with a clothesline and now he controls with a variety of suplexs. Tazz takes in Billy who uses his straight brawling style to keep control until a well-placed Goodfather kick gives Bull control. Now RTC use good old-fashioned heel tactics to keep Billy isolated. Tazz distracts Brian Hebner a numerous amount of times that allows a variety of double team offence. Billy is sent of the ropes by both RTC members and rebounds with a clothesline to both! Billy needs the tag! Billy makes the tag! Tazz is on fire with straight brawling! Tazz is in control of Bull, he locks in the TAZZMISSION! TAZZMISSION! Goodfather breaks it up but Billy takes him out with a clothesline and follows him outside. Tazz picks up Bull but Bull comes back with a clothesline! Bull pins but he’s feet are on the ropes! Blind Hebner doesn’t see it and Bull steals one! Bull and Goodfather get out of dodge quickly with the win.

    Winners: Right To Censor

    Commercial Break

We come back to Raw and The Coach is standing by with the ever-confident Rock and his adoring fans give out a loud cheer.

Jonathan Coachman “Tonight Rock you take on WWF Champion Kurt Angle in a non-title match and with the recent actions of the “Stone Cold” Steve Austin are you worried that the rattlesnake will make an appearance in your match?”

The Rock “Let The Rock make this perfectly clear to you Coach, The Rock is worried about the current state of the Indonesian economy, The Rock is worried about the current international strife in the middle east, The Rock is worried about the fact he is standing next to a man who likes to tickle other men but THE ROCK IS NOT! The Rock is not worried about “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock is not worried about Kurt Angle and The Rock sure has hell isn’t worried about Vince McMahon. Steve Austin can interfere in the match and it doesn’t matter, Steve Austin can get drunk and wind up in a ditch with his name changed to Co-Co Shaniqua and it doesn’t matter! All that matters is that The Rock will beat the living hell out of that Olympic Jabroni Kurt Angle, IF YA SMELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKING!

Rock raises the eyebrow and the crowd go nuts. Action now stays backstage and to Test walking to the ring for his match until he bumps into Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, who of course has a security guard.

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “Going to qualify for the Royal Rumble Test? I suppose your dream is to win it and to go on to WrestleMania? Stop dreaming! You’re not going to even qualify for the Rumble never mind win it and I’m going to make sure of it!”

Test “There’s only so far you can push a man Steph and if you even think of trying to screw me out of the Rumble then I will do whatever it takes to make sure you don’t even if that means hurting you.”

Test aggressively brushes past security and makes his way to the ring.

    Test Vs Val Venis

Test is made to look dominant with what looks like a dull squash until Stephanie comes down to the ring with her guard. She distracts referee Mike Chioda and Val uses the opportunity to hit a low blow. Val covers for a one and a half count. Test comes off the ropes but Val ducks and Test nails Mike Chioda with a weak Big Boot. Test checks on Chioda and Val uses this to take some control until Test takes him down with a clothesline. Stephanie enters the ring with a chair and Austin’s music starts up much to the delight of the crowd. Austin comes running down to the ring and Stephanie scarpers. STUNNER ON VAL! STUNNER ON SECRUITY! STUNNER ON TEST TOO! Austin drags Test over Val and wakes Chioda. Chioda counts the three and Test qualifies for the Royal Rumble and a distant Stephanie is irate as Austin, after stepping up his campaign against the McMahon family adds insult to injury and gives her the finger!

    Winner: Test

    Commercial Break

Raw comes back live and Stephanie’s daddy’s office and she is still seething with Austin. Two new security guards are with both McMahon’s.

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “Did you just see that dad? Did you just see what Austin did?”

Vince McMahon “Yes I saw it but don’t worry, you said yourself that Test has no chance of winning the rumble anyway. We have bigger problems then Test at the moment like making sure Austin can’t interfere in the main event tonight so please will you just leave me to sort things out?”

    Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “But dad!”

    Vince McMahon “Leave it, please.”

Stephanie reluctantly leaves with her guard.

Kane & Undertaker Vs Rikishi & William Regal

Kane and Undertaker make a formidable team and dominate the early going with strong power offence. Regal does hit a back suplex on Kane to gain some momentum but that is soon lost when Kane hits the Big Boot on Rikishi. Rikishi comes off the buckle, sidewalk slam! Kane wants to end it with the chokeslam. Kane has Rikishi around the throat but Regal jumps in to attack Kane but Undertaker cuts him off! Taker has Regal by the throat! DOUBLE CHOKESLAM! Regal and Rikishi got planted! Kane covers and Junior Hebner counts the three. After the match Kane just stares at a nodding Undertaker before leaving to the back followed by his brother.

    Winners: Kane and Undertaker

    Commercial Break

We come back to Raw and Vince, Stephanie and Kurt are all swamped by a mass of security guards and are making their way towards the curtain.

Kurt Angle w Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley & Vince McMahon Vs The Rock

Security swamps ringside as Rock takes an early advantage with explosive right hands to take Kurt over the top rope. Kurt regroups on the outside and keeps Rock down with some good technical wrestling. Rock fights his way back with some right hands, off the ropes, overhead belly To belly! Angle plants Rock with a beautiful move. Angle masterfully controls Rock now. Rock is thrown into the corner and Angle leaves his orthodox offence to level Rock with right hands but it backfires! Rock reverses and Angle is in the corner, Rock explodes with right hands and the last one almost takes Angle out of his boots! Rock throws Angle off the ropes, clothesline! Rock is building momentum. Scoop slam! Rock is ready for the People’s Elbow but Vince jumps on the apron. Rock goes over nails him. Rock comes back to Angle but Angle traps him in an inside cradle! One, Two thre-no! So close, Vince and Stephanie can’t believe it! The Rock knocks down Angle! Stephanie is on the apron this time and referee Earl Hebner argues with her to get down while The Rock insults her. Vince takes the opportunity to slide a chair to Kurt, Rock turns around and Angle swings but Rock ducks and hooks up the Rock Bottom! ROCK BOTTOM! ROCK BOTTOM! One, Two, Thre-no!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!! Angle gets his foot on the bottom rope! That 3’rd I shines through! Rock can’t believe it! Scoop slam and The Rock wants The People’s Elbow again! Off the ropes but Vince has his foot! Rock stomps him away and Stephanie enters the ring and distracts both Hebner and Rock. LOW BLOW! Angle low blows The Rock! Schoolboy, One, Two, Three! Angle gets the win! Angle gets the win! Angle’s music plays but that is interrupted abruptly by the titantron. It’s Austin! Austin in the McMahon-Helmsley lounge! He’s wrecking the joint! Chairs flying everywhere! Smashed pictures! Vince is irate and sends security down to Austin! We follow Vince, Steph, Kurt and security but when they get there Austin is gone. Vince orders security to the parking lot and the trio follow and when they get there they see Austin hanging out the window of his monster truck, laughing and giving the finger! The crowd love it!

    Winner: Kurt Angle

Jerry Lawler “Austin’s a manic JR!”

Jim Ross “McMahon screwed Austin and now Austin is screwing McMahon, what’s going to happen this Thursday night?”

    WWF Raw Preview

    January 8th 2001

San Jose Arena – San Jose, California

We come to you live from the San Jose Arena in California this week with what should prove to be an explosive Raw.

Last week on Smackdown Vince McMahon fooled us all with his “new” image before hitting “Stone Cold” Steve Austin with a steel chair, Austin is defiantly not going to forgive and forget so what will the rattlesnake have in store for Mr McMahon on Raw? Will Austin get some payback?

Also, last week on Smackdown Undertaker saved his brother Kane from a Rikishi beat down following a steel chair shot from the bad man. Why did Rikishi attack the man he allied with just four days previously and why did Undertaker help the man who chokeslammed him? Hopefully Raw will provide the answers!

The Hardy’s got a pasting at the hands of the Radicalz on Smackdown last Thursday but Matt has a chance for some revenge this week when he takes on Perry Saturn with a shot at Chris Benoit’s Intercontinental Championship on the line. If Hardy wins, he gets his shot.

Test has had his share of problems recently but will have to put all his recent issues with Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and Albert aside when he takes on Val Venis in a Royal Rumble qualifier match.

Talking of the Rumble, Edge and Christian will be defending their Tag Titles against the Dudley Boyz at the Royal Rumble event. The champions are sure to be keeping a close eye on the challengers as they take on the APA this week.

Billy Gunn and Tazz will also be teaming when they take on Right To Censor members Bull Buchanan and Goodfather. With all this action you can’t afford to miss Raw this week!

    Confirmed Matches

    Matt Hardy Vs Perry Saturn

    Test Vs Val Venis

    APA Vs The Dudley Boyz

Billy Gunn & Tazz Vs Right To Censor (Bull Buchanan & Goodfather)

    WWF Smackdown

    January 4th 2001

Freeman Coliseum (6,982) – San Antonio, Texas

Smackdown hits the air with instant crowd hostility as Edge and Christians theme starts up. Surprising only Edge appears and he makes his way down to the ring to address the fans.

    Edge “Howdy yawl!”

The mocking tone in Edge’s voice gets a chorus of boo’s from the San Antonio crowd.

Edge “Now I know how big a fan you Texans are of your nacho’s, I mean there’s plenty of proof just looking at you, but if you and your ever expanding waistlines can just stop eating for one second then I have something very important to say!”

    The crowd continually boo Edge.

Edge “On Raw this past Monday night, Stone Cold Steve Austin hit me with a Stone Cold Stunner! *The crowd cheer* So tonight I’m calling out old egg features, so Austin if you’ve got the guts, then get your ass out here!”

Edge doesn’t have to wait long before Stone Cold’s music rings through the arena and the crowd go nuts. However, instead of Steve Austin appearing, Christian appears on the rampway with a bald wig and Austin attire. His shirt, rather mockily reads Got Hair?” The crowd are not impressed but an un-phased Christian continues to mock Stone Cold’s as he completes his entrance.

Edge “Ok Stone Cold, lets get down to business!”

Christian responds in a deliberately terrible Texas accent.

Christian “Now hold on there cowboy! I need a beerrr first!”

Edge “You need a beer? That’s not very professional!”

Christian “Why, I never claimed to be a professional. I lost every job I ever had y’all. Before, I was a mailman but my mule wouldn’t’ go, I later found out it was deeaad. I lost my job as a teacher cause there’s no kids in Texas, all the women are so fat the men turn to their horses for loving don’t ya know? *The crowd boo* There are a lot of Horsemen around though ya know? And when they get past their prime, we ship them over to Georgia for a handsome price.”

Edge can’t help but laugh, as the crowd get even more agitated.

Edge “You know Austin, perhaps I’ve been a little harsh on you. Let me get you a beer.”

Edge motions for a beer and one is thrown which Christian purposely drops.

Christian “Opps, that be my butterfingers y’all.”

Christian picks up the beer and takes a swig before spitting it back out in disgust.

Christian “Is this an alcoholic beerrr?”

    Edge “Of course.”

Christian “Don’t ya know us Texans don’t drink real beerrr? We only like non-alcoholic beerrrs. I’m gonna be drunk for days now, oh crap!”

Christian drops to the floor doing a terrible impression of Austin’s trademark as the crowd still continue to boo. A small “Austin” chant starts up.

Edge “Wait, are you telling me that Stone Cold Steve Austin, the Texas rattlesnake, the man who is meant to be the baddest man in the whole WWF, is drunk off a sip of a beer?”

The “Austin” chant starts to get louder as Christian begins to act drunk.

Christian “Did you just call my momma fat? Cause she’s is, I mean she is from Texas but she’s not my real momma, no, my momma is actually my pops too.”

    Edge “What? What in the………………………………………….”

GLASS SHATTERS! The crowd go nuts as Austin music finally replays and this time the real Texas rattlesnake comes charging down to the ring. Austin hammers away Texas style on the Tag Team Champions! STUNNER on Christian! STUNNER on Edge! Austin stomps them out the ring and gives them the finger as the crowd go nuts! Austin, obviously pissed off, grabs the dropped microphone”

Steve Austin “If you son’s of bitches want some more, Stone Cold’s ready for ya!”

A groggy Edge and Christian think better of it and make their way to the back as the crowd continue to cheer.

Steve Austin “Now that those two jackass’s have been dealt with, there’s another one in the back who’s trying to screw Stone Cold around and that son of a bitch is Kurt Angle! So Kurt, I’m calling your Olympic ass out!”

Austin waits in the ring but nothing happens.

Steve Austin “I ain’t leaving this damn ring until that you come to out, you phoney bastard!”

Finally Kurt Angle’s music starts up and the crowd get excited as Angle appears from the back. Kurt isn’t feeling too brave though as he stays at the top of the rampway.

Kurt Angle “What the hell are you talking about Austin?”

Steve Austin “What’s the matter Kurt? Lost your balls? Not prepared to admit to everyone in public what a yella bastard ya are?”

Kurt Angle “I see where you’re going with this Austin and it has nothing to do with me being scared of Stone Cold or intimidated by Stone Cold or anything by Stone Cold.”

Steve Austin “How about having your ass kicked by Stone Cold?”

The crowd give a loud cheer Angle looks agitated.

Kurt Angle “I’m sick of this! I’m going to say this once more for you Texas idiots *The crowd boo* and for you Austin, the biggest Texas idiot of all! I am not intimidated or scared of you Austin. Why would I be? I’m an Olympic gold medallist and the WWF Champion………………….”

Austin cuts off Angle mid sentence in true Stone Cold style.

Steve Austin “You’re also a measly mouth l’il bastard who’s really starting to piss me off!”

Kurt Angle “What is wrong with you Austin? Don’t they teach you manners down in the south? Why is everything that comes out of your mouth such filth? Is your vocabulary really that limited or is it just you’re a drunken idiot? Why don’t you lay off the beer and cursing and try showing some respect to your WWF Champion?”

Kurt looks pretty smug with himself as Austin mockily ponders the question.

Steve Austin “Well I’ve thought about what you’ve said and have weighed the pro’s and cons and realised that a lack of beer would pose the dangers of me becoming a pompous lil bastard like you!”

The crowd cheer Austin as Kurt continues to become disillusioned with Austin’s philosophies.

Steve Austin “Now if you’re done with the damn lifestyle lecture, I’d like to explain to all these people why I’m out here and why Kurt Angle is being a bigger bitch than usual!”

Austin pauses before continuing as the crowd give a little cheer.

Steve Austin “Wait, I’m sorry, where are my manors? Perhaps you’d like to explain why you’re being such a lil bitch to all this people?”

Kurt Angle “Ok fine, Austin I admit, I have called off the WWF Title match between you and myself, but, *Angle pauses as the crowd give a loud boo* but! I do have good reason, a damn good reason in fact! You see I never said I would give you a WWF Title shot just because you beat Edge and Christian. I said you had to prove yourself to be worthy. When you stunnered me at the end of the match on Monday night you blew any chance you ever had of a title shot. When you learn to act like a champion Austin, perhaps I’ll give you a chance to become one.”

Kurt pauses as a chorus of boo’s hit the arena.

Kurt Angle “Because lets face it, you’ll never be the champion I am. Oh it’s true! It’s true!”

Steve Austin “You’re right, I’ll never be a whiny ass son of a bitch like you! *The crowd cheer* That’s something old Stone Cold will never be as good as you at. If there was a gold medal…………………”

Kurt infuriated at what Austin is suggesting cuts him off mid sentence.

Kurt Angle “If you’re insinuating that I won these gold medals *Angle grabs his medals* for anything other than my wrestling ability then you’re hugely mistaken! And as far as your title shot goes, you can forget it! I’ve already spoken to Stephanie and she has promised me that there will be title shot for you Austin. And there’s nobody who can change that!”

NO CHANCE THAT’S WHAT ‘CHA GOT! The crowd give a loud mixed response as the WWF owner Vince McMahon returns to WWF screens and power walks his way past Angle and down to the ring.

Vince McMahon “Kurt! Would you please come down to the ring?”

Kurt Angle “If it’s all the same with you Mr McMahon, i'd rather..........................."

Mr McMahon cuts him off mid sentence.

Vince McMahon “Perhaps I didn’t make myself clear? GET YOU’RE ASS IN THIS RING NOWWW!"

The crowd cheer McMahon’s forceful ways as Angle reluctantly makes his way to the ring. McMahon goes right in Kurt’s face, looking very chessed off.

Vince McMahonWHO IN THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?

The crowd go nuts for the irate McMahon, as Kurt looks worried.

Vince McMahon “I take some time off and when I come back I find you strutting around like you own the damn place! Well let me remind you of something Kurt, you don’t own this company. I DOOOO!

The crowd give another cheers as McMahon begins to calm down and turn his attention away from Kurt.

Vince McMahon “And as far as your title shot goes Austin, it’s on! *The crowd give a big cheer* And a word of warning Kurt, if anyone tries to interfere on your behalf, or on your behalf Austin, then they’ll be fired right then and there!”

The crowd give another cheer before McMahon elaborates some more.

Vince McMahon “And that goes for Edge, Christian, Undertaker, Kane, Rock, Dean Malenko, Steven Richards, hell that even goes for Tiger Ali Singh damn it! And before you get any ideas Kurt, that also goes for Stephanie! To make a long story short, if anybody in that locker room interferes tonight, THEY’RE FIRED!"

No Chance hits the arena for the second time as McMahon leaves a smug Austin and a worried WWF Champion.

Michael Cole “Kurt can’t weasel his way out of this one! Kurt going to have to face Austin one on one!”

Jerry Lawler “This isn’t fair! What is Mr McMahon doing? Lets hope Stephanie talks some sense into him!”

    Commercial Break

    D’lo Brown Vs Funaki

From something very exciting to this, D’lo starts off strongest with some good solid offence. Funaki comes back with a dropkick. Funaki keeps control with some highflying offence. Funaki bounces off the ropes but gets caught with a clothesline. D’lo is looking for the running powerbomb, Reversal into a hurricanarana pin! Funaki gets the three! D’lo isn’t happy, he clubs Funaki from behind. D’lo is beating the hell out of Funaki but nobody cares.

    Winner: Funaki

Now action switches backstage and to troubled lovebirds Matt Hardy and a tearful Lita.

Lita “Look Matt, I’m sorry ok?”

Matt Hardy “You’re sorry? You’re sorry? You just abandon me on Monday night and you haven’t returned my calls since. I was worried about you Lita. With all this stuff with Benoit going on, I didn’t know what to think.”

Lita “I just had to get out of there, I’m sorry.”

Something clicks in Matt’s head as he begins to question Lita.

Matt Hardy “Wait a second, you had to get out? Is this to do with Benoit? Has he been harassing you?”

Lita “What? No! No! It’s nothing seriously, just forget it.”

Matt Hardy “Just tell me what the hell happened!”

    Lita hesitates before answering.

Lita “It was just Benoit freaked me out a little last week, it’s nothing really.”

Matt Hardy “Well it obviously was judging by how you’ve been acting!”

Lita “I really don’t want to talk about this Matt.”

Matt Hardy “Well I’ve gotta go find Jeff for our match tonight. But I want some answers later, ok?”

Lita “Yeh ok, just go, just go.”

A less than sympathetic Matt walks off as Lita just stares blankly.

Jim Ross “Matt Hardy, hardly the concerned boyfriend.”

Jerry Lawler “Lita’s over reacting Cole, Matt Hardy’s right to not be worried.”

Michael Cole “If you say so King. Steven Richards Vs Tazz is next!”

    Commercial Break

    Steven Richards Vs Tazz

Tazz gains the early advantage with some technical offence until Richards nails a DDT. Richards is on top now but Tazz rebounds with a clothesline. Tazz looks for the Tazzmission, but Richards gets to the ropes. Tazz picks up Richards who throws him into the buckle in desperation. Richards’s rolls up Tazz and his feet are on the ropes! Long doesn’t see it, Richards steals one.

    Winner: Steven Richards

We go backstage and Kurt Angle, Edge and Christian are furious and trying to get a bewildered Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley to change her daddy’s mind.

Edge “Did you see how Austin attack me and Christian earlier?”

    Christian “Totally unprovoked!”

Kurt Angle “Who gives a damn about that? Stephanie you’ve got to make Vince see sense and stop this title match with Austin. We both know I’m not ready to face him tonight.”

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “Look, I understand both of your concerns but I didn’t even know my dad was going to be here tonight.”

Christian “Yeh, I mean we all thought Trish was gonna keep him busy all night if you know what I’m saying?”

Christian gives out a little laugh but he soon stops as Edge and Kurt give him disapproving looks and Stephanie looks about ready to explode.

    Stephanie McMahon-HelmsleyWHAT?

Kurt mouths off at Christian before jumping in.

Kurt Angle “Nothing! Nothing! He was just joking, you know? A bit of humour never hurt anyone right?”

Kurt nervously laughs before Stephanie cuts him short.

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “I’ll talk to my dad later but for now just get out of my office!”

With that Kurt, Edge and Christian all leave with Stephanie shaking her head.

Michael Cole “I think Christian might of just put his foot in it King.”

Jerry Lawler “He was only joking, just a friendly joke, that’s all!”

    Commercial Break

The Hardy Boyz Vs The Radicalz (Dean Malenko & Perry Saturn) w Chris Benoit

For whatever reason the crowd seemed to be dead for this one, it wasn’t even a bad match, perhaps it was the lack of Lita. Anyway, Jeff and Saturn start off and Jeff’s superior quickness proves to be too much and some good tag team wrestling from the Hardyz sees them keep control. Benoit makes sure his presence is felt when he distracts Matt and allows Saturn to gain an advantage for his team. Malenko and Saturn isolate Matt with good heel tactics. Hardy fights back with some right hands; off the ropes he ducks a clothesline and nails a spinning heel kick! Matt makes the hot tag! Jeff knocks down all the Radicalz including Benoit. The Hardyz have control now! Matt takes Saturn over the top and the referee has his back turned. Chris Benoit has a chair! WHACK! Jeff just got nailed and the referee didn’t see a damn thing! Saturn covers and Jack Doan counts Jeff out. The Radicalz aren’t done though, Jeff is out cold and Matt is all alone with three men! A three on one assault ensues. Lita pleads with them to leave him alone but the boots continue to fly in on both brothers. Benoit has an idea, CROSSFACE! Saturn and Malenko continue to put the boots on Jeff while Benoit rips away at Matt. Finally Benoit releases and all three Radicalz stand proud in the ring with both Hardyz flat out and Lita distraught.

Winners: The Radicalz (Dean Malenko & Perry Saturn)

Action switches back to Test who burst’s into Stephanie’s office.

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “Don’t you know how to knock?”

Test “Look, you ask me to come here so I came here. What do you want?”

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “First I didn’t ask you to come here, I told you to come here! And second did you really think I was going to forget about Monday night and how you put you filthy disgusting hands all over me? So tonight Test I booked you in a little match, a match against Kane! So go and think about that Test.”

Test “Am I suppose to be scared Steph? Put me in a match against Kane, I don’t care, I’ll beat that red freak within a inch of his life.”

Test storms out the office as Stephanie mutters to herself.

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “He’s gonna get destroyed!”

Stephanie laughs to herself before continuing her paperwork.

Michael Cole “It’s going to be Kane against Test later tonight King!”

Jerry Lawler “Test is going to be sorry he ever put his hands on Stephanie!”

    Elimination Tables Match

Billy Gunn & The Dudley Boyz Vs Right To Censor (Bull Buchanan, The Goodfather & Val Venis)

Jim Ross explains on commentary that the Dudley’s got this match thanks to the win over R.T.C last week. Terrible yet entertaining action, all three Right To Censor members are cleared from ringside to start and we eventually settle down into 6-man tornado tag action! It’s a wild brawl with little wrestling but it’s compelling stuff. Val places Billy Gunn on a table and climbs the ropes. He is looking for the money shot. He jumps, but Billy moves! Val goes crashing through the table for the first elimination. The crowd seem a little confused as to why the match continues but continue it does. The three men use their advantage well until Goodfather reverse’s an irish whip and throws D-Von into the steel steps! With some momentum behind him now he takes the ring bell and enters the ring. GOODFATHER WHACKS THE RING BELL OFF BILLY GUNN’S SKULL! Both D-Von and Billy are out but Buh Buh doesn’t back down and fights back until the numbers game catches up with him. Goodfather and Bull work over Buh Buh before Bull sets up a table. Bull climbs the ropes and Goodfather hoists Buh Buh up on Bull’s shoulders. POWERBOMB OFF THE TOP ROPE THROUGH THE TABLE! Buh Buh is broken in half! The sides are even once more but Billy is still out cold as Goodfather and Bull keep control. Billy blocks Buchanan and slams his head off the announce table! Billy fights back with a second wind and D-Von does the same as they retake control. Steven Richards comes running down ringside and D-Von and Gunn, turn their attention to him. Both men hammer away at him and D-Von sets up a table! Before they can put him through though, a rested Bull and Goodfather nail them from behind and start to stomp away at them as a relieved Steven Richards cheers them on. R.T.C have it all under control until Tazz comes running down! Tazz takes out Richards in revenge for earlier and it’s once again two on two. Billy is thrown off the ropes but Bull ducks too soon. FAMEASSER! Gunn picks up Bull and slams him through the table! Goodfather is all alone; Billy takes the Buh Buh Ray role. “D-VON GET THE TABLE!” This time D-Von climbs to the top, Goodfather is hoisted. POWERBOMB THROUGH THE TABLE! The match is won and the carnage is over. Wow, what a mess, it was a pretty good if you like that sort of thing.

Winners: Billy Gunn & The Dudley Boyz

    Commercial Break

IT’S THE YEAR OF JERICHO! Chris Jericho’s brand spanking 2001 music starts up and Chris Jericho strides confidently down to the ring as the crowd go nuts. Jericho enters the ring and waits patiently for the “Y2J” chants to die down.”

Chris JerichoWELCOME TO THE YEAR OF JERICHOOOOOOO!

The crowd go wild as Y2J sports a cocky grin.

Chris Jericho “It’s a new year and its Y2J’s first appearance in front of all these San Antonio Jerichoholics! *The crowd cheer* Now this year Y2J thought he’s start by making a few new years resolutions. First, it’s no longer a year till Jericho, the year of Jericho is now BABY! *The crowd cheer* And since it’s the year of Jericho I was thinking it’s time I got what I truly deserve, the WWF Title!”

Suddenly Raven’s crows can be heard as his music starts up, much to the surprise of the crowd and Jericho. Raven makes his way down to the ring without much emotion but wearing his Hardcore Title and in a very gothic look.

Chris Jericho “This isn’t a wildlife sanctuary junior!”

Raven with no reaction to Jericho’s baiting enters the ring and is handed a microphone.

Chris Jericho “Is there a reason you’re out here? Or did you just got lost on your way out of freaks anonymous?”

Raven continues to just stand there despite Jericho’s insults.

Chris Jericho “Has all that crowing hurt you voice? What the hell do you want Lameven?”

Raven just stares at Jericho before finally speaking.

Raven “While you talk the devil smiles, your insignificant life is yours to waste but do not waste others.”

Chris Jericho overemphasises a shocked expression before replying.

Chris Jericho “What? You may look like the crypt keeper but this isn’t channel 14’s scary movie night, so why don’t you hit the bricks junior?”

Raven “So quick to insult and yet so late to help. You’re the man that mocks the helpless to feed his ego. You’re the man who pities the blind with two fingers, the man who mocks the deaf with words. This isn’t your year Chris Jericho, this is the year of the Raven.”

Chris Jericho “You know, if you change “Raven” to jackass and “year of” to “big, dirty, filthy, disgusting”, then I might agree with you but until then why don’t you shut your beak and make your way back to the circus? Ass clown!”

The crowd give off a big cheer in support of Y2J’s statement.

Raven “Insult the down trodden all you want because when the time comes nobody will be safe from the devils wrath. Nobody chooses to be a devil, it is simply done through necessity. We may have been oppressed but soon we will rise and claim the heroes like you Chris Jericho. The men the people chose to cheer because you’re blessed with all the things God gave you. The things we were never given, the things we never had, and the things we’re going to take.”

Chris Jericho “So that’s what this is all about? This is because you can’t get a girlfriend? *The crowd cheer* You want some good old-fashioned loving? Well if you’re really desperate for a kiss, why don’t you pucker up those lips, and kiss my ass?”

Raven “Remember on this day you were fore warned, a Raven gave you a chance but you chose to mock it. You mock the messenger and he will leave, but one day he shall return and that day we’ll be the beginning of the end. Quote the Raven nevermore.”

Raven drops the microphone and makes his way to the back leaving a confused Chris Jericho.

    Michael Cole “What the hell?”

    Commercial Break

    Kane Vs Test

Stephanie’s plan seems to be working early on as Kane dominates Test with raw power. Test comes back with neckbreaker and now he shows his strength against the bigger man. Test comes off the ropes, BIG BOOT! Kane just stuck that huge foot down Test’s throat! Test is thrown to the buckle and gets hit with a sidewalk slam coming out. Kane’s ready to end it here, he signals for the chokeslam. RIKISHI WITH A STEEL CHAIR! Rikishi from nowhere clocks Kane! Mike Chioda has to call for the bell. What the hell? Weren’t these two allies? Rikishi is beating the hell out of Kane. ROLLING ROLLING ROLLING ROLLING! It’s Undertaker! What does he want? Undertaker’s beating the hell out of Rikishi, CHOKESLAM! Undertaker is leaving now; he just helped Kane, but why? What’s this all about?

    Winner: Kane

Stephanie has finally caught up with her dad as action switches backstage. She is jogging to keep up.

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “Dad! Dad! Can I have a word?”

Vince stops but still looks in a rush.

Vince McMahon “Well I’m kinda busy at the moment, can you keep it short?”

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “Ok....... What are you doing Dad? What’s with this newfound love for Steve Austin? You do remember your history with him right?”

Vince gets a little agitated at this comment.

Vince McMahon “Of course I remember my history with him damn it! I’m not doing this because I’ve found a new love for Steve Austin, hell I hate that son of a bitch! I’m doing this because I’m sick and tired of the ways things are being run here, it seems whoever kisses the most ass gets the opportunities and that’s not how I want my business run! I’m sick of it and as of tonight, it’s stops! Now if you’ll excuse me I have some business to attend to.”

Vince carries on walking leaving a bewildered Stephanie.

Jerry Lawler “What’s got into Vince?”

Michael Cole “He’s acting like a proper boss for once King and I for one welcome it.”

Jerry Lawler “Well it doesn’t matter anymore Cole because the match is next.”

Michael Cole “Stone Cold verses Kurt Angle, next!”

    WWF Raw

    January 1st 2001

Frank Erwin Center (21,359) – Austin, Texas

As Raw hits the air a familiar American theme starts up and Kurt Angle appears from the back as the crowd begin to boo. Angle sporting his trusty gold medals around his neck and WWF Title around his waist makes his way down to the ring looking somewhat serious. He enters and does an ungracious triumphant spin before rather arrogantly snatching the microphone from Lillan Garcia.

Kurt Angle “Well I hope you’re proud of yourself Austin! Last week when you poured beer over Stephanie McMahon and myself.*The crowd cheer forcing Angle to pause* Last week when you poured beer over us, you not only embarrassed an American hero, Olympic gold medallists and WWF Champion, but even worse then that, you embarrassed and degraded a poor defenceless woman! *The crowd cheer* What you did last week Austin was disgusting and disgraceful and defiantly not the actions of a true American and I can’t believe you people would cheer it!”

The crowd cheer even louder in defiance of Angle.

Kurt Angle “But then again why would I expect anything else from Austin’s home state, in filthy, disgusting Texas!”

The crowd boo Angle for his derogatory comments.

Kurt Angle “But then again, I guess Steve Austin serves as a good representative for the people of Texas. He’s loud, obnoxious *The crowd boo* slow witted, and moronic, much like the rest of Texas!”

The crowd show real contempt for Angle and his negative comments towards them. GLASS SHATTERS! The crowd go nuts as Stone Cold’s music plays and makes his way down to the ring looking very pissed off. He is handed a microphone.

Steve Austin “You’ve had your little say over Stone Cold and Texas, now let Stone Cold and Texas have their say about you!”

Austin flips Angle the bird as the crowd go nuts and Angle looks disgusted.

Steve Austin “Look at yourself, with your stupid gold medals and your stupid little hair cut. If you’re an American hero then I’m a Mexican, cause as far as Stone Cold’s concerned you’re nothing but a whiny ass son of a bitch!”

The crowd go nuts, as Angle gets enraged.

Kurt Angle “You can’t talk to me like that! I’m the WWF Champion!”

Steve Austin “I’m sorry. Did I hurt your feelings? Did Stone Cold hurt your feelings? Then let Stone Cold make it up to you and offer you a beer.”

Stone Cold starts to motion for some beers before Kurt interrupts.

Kurt Angle “Oh no! No! You’re not playing the same trick twice Austin. I don’t want your beer and I don’t want to drink with you!”

Austin looks somewhat taken aback as the crowd get excited in anticipation of Stone Cold’s reaction.

Steve Austin “You’re in my home state now Kurt so let Stone Cold give you so advice. When someone offers you a beer here in Texas, you better accept it!”

The crowd cheer as Angle looks at Austin with contempt.

Kurt Angle “Or what Austin? You’ll “kick my ass?” Then go ahead and try but I promise that if you lay one hand on me, then you will never get a shot *Kurt points to the WWF Title with a smug look* at my WWF Championship!”

Steve Austin “You think Stone Cold is here to whoop your sorry little ass? Hell, I don’t want to waste time on you when I could be doing something else, like drinking a beer! *The crowd cheer* Old Stone Cold is here for one reason and one reason only, to challenge you to a match for that WWF Title you having sitting around your waist.”

Kurt Angle “Didn’t you get the freakin message last week? You don’t deserve a title shot Austin. I lead by example as champion and am an excellent role model to young Americans everywhere. What kind of example would you set? You’d teach them that drinking so many beers that you pass out is admirable. *The crowd cheer* You’d encourage them to use foul language and profanity. You Mr Austin stand for everything that’s wrong with America today. You stand for violence, show no respect to anyone, not even an American hero like myself! You Austin……………………..”

Steve Austin “Yak! Yak! Yak! I get the point you whiny little bitch! *The crowd cheer* It’s obvious that old Stone Cold intimates you.”

Kurt Angle “Whoa, whoa whoa! You think you intimidate me? Austin you see these? *Kurt grabs his medals* These prove I’m not scared of you; I’m not scared of anyone! You see this *Kurt points to his title* This proves I’m better than you; I’m better than everyone! And if you want a match against me so badly then…………………………………..”

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley music cuts Kurt of mid sentence and she makes her way to the ring. Stephanie is handed another microphone.

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “Kurt! Kurt! I know that you’re a fighting champion but we both agreed that Steve is not the number one contender. It simply wouldn’t be fair and I just like my dad I am dedicated to making sure things are done fair and properly.”

Kurt Angle “You’re right Stephanie and may I thank you for the great job you’re doing in your father’s absence.”

Stephanie smiles at Kurt who smiles back.

Steve Austin “I’m sorry, is Stone Cold interrupting some kind of love-in here?”

Kurt Angle “What? Of course not! Watch your mouth Austin!”

Steve Austin “What is it about the McMahon’s and being big filthy sluts?”

The crowd cheer and start to chant slut, as Kurt and Stephanie look disgusted.

Kurt Angle “How dare you call Stephanie a slut! She’s a classy intelligent women!”

Steve Austin “Actually I was talking about a different McMahon.”

The crowd cheer as Stephanie look gets agitated.

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “There is nothing going on between my dad and that slut!”

Steve Austin “Well I’m looking around, I’m looking backstage but I don’t see his stupid little ass anywhere and guess what? I don’t see her either. So with that in mind, Stone Cold thinks he’ll conduct a little poll. If you think Vince McMahon is with Trish Stratus then give me a HELL YEAH!"

    HELL YEAH!

Steve Austin “Like I said on Smackdown last week, I don’t hear so well but I just heard 21,000 people say your daddies getting it on with Trish Stratus!”

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “My dad is on a business trip. He is not having any relations with Trish Stratus!”

Steve Austin “Alwright, Stone Cold hears what your saying so let him ask you another question, where’s Trish?”

Stephanie is reluctant to respond before Kurt jumps in.

Kurt Angle “That’s none of your business Austin! And frankly it’s not the business of any of these rednecks idiots either, *The crowd boo* and as far as you and a title shot goes, I’ll give you a chance. If you can prove to me you deserve it, then I’ll give you a title shot on Smackdown.”

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “That gives me a great idea Kurt! Tonight it’s gonna be Steve Austin verses the Tag Team Champions, Edge and Christian in a handicap match!”

Stone Cold looks both smug Kurt and Stephanie up and down before finally resting on Kurt.

Steve Austin “Well that’s just fine, later on tonight I’ll walk in this ring, raise some hell, kick some ass, raise some more hell, kick some more ass and when I’m done with that, I’ll drink a few beers and maybe a few more and when I’m finally done with that, I’ll come to Raw next week, open a can of whoop ass, and walk out WWF Champion! *The crowd join in* AND THAT’S THE BOTTOM LINE 'CAUSE STONE COLD SAID SO!”

GLASS SHATTERS! Stone Cold drops the microphone and salutes all four corners of the crowd while Kurt and Stephanie look on.

Jim Ross “Stone Cold Vs Edge and Christian later tonight? That hardly seems fair! I think our WWF Champion is afraid of the rattlesnake!”

Jerry Lawler “Are you kidding JR? You heard Kurt. He was just about to give Austin a shot. It’s only because Stephanie made him see reason that he stopped! Kurt’s a full blooded male JR!”

Jim Ross “Sure he is King, he’s a real bad ass and how convenient that Stephanie would walk out just before Kurt accepted the match.”

Jerry Lawler “Are you suggesting Kurt had no intention of facing Stone Cold at all?”

Jim Ross “That’s exactly what I’m “suggesting”.”

    WWF Hardcore Championship

    Jeff Hardy Vs Raven ©

Jeff comes to the ring in his usual whacky gear and to his screaming female fans while Raven actually gets some heat for his entrance and has his trusty shopping care of weapons in toe. The match starts off pretty basic with Jeff hitting some high flying moves but Raven slows him down, ironically enough, with a stop sign to the head. Referee Teddy Long can only watch on as both men trade brawling and weapons shots for the majority of the match. Hardy looks like he has it won when he goes up top for the Swanton Bomb but Raven moves out the way! Raven hits the Evenflow DDT onto a chair for the win.

    Winner: Raven

    Commercial Break

As Raw comes back from commercials, Bull Buchanan, Goodfather and Steven Richards are making their way to the ring. The crowd clearly dislike the trio and let them know it as Richards prepares to speak.

Steven Richards “Would you people please be quiet?”

The crowd get louder in spite of Richards request.

Steven Richards “You know, seeing you people go crazy over Stone Cold earlier tonight made me realise just how badly you people need me. You cheer and worship a man who stands for all the wrong things. What Kurt Angle was saying was perfectly correct and having Stone Cold as champion, *Steven looks at both Goodfather and Bull* makes us sick!”

The crowd boo as Richards looks to change gears.

Steven Richards “But tonight we’re here because of a different problem. We’re here because for a while now there is a tag team that has been acting disgracefully! A tag team that has been putting people through tables! *The crowd cheer* Well tonight I requested this match so that *Pointing at Bull and Goodfather* these two can solve that problem and end the Dudleyz once and for all!”

Right To Censor (Bull Buchanan & Goodfather) w Steven Richards Vs The Dudley Boyz

The Dudleyz come running down to the ring and a four way brawl ensues until Buh Buh and D-Von clear house! The match settles down with Bull and D-Von starting us off. We finally get into the usual WWF formula when RTC isolate D-Von with frequent tags and dirty double team tactics which is made all the more easier with Richard’s antics on the outside. D-Von avoids a Goodfather Ho Train! D-Von makes the hot tag! Buh Buh goes crazy knocking down both members of the R.T.C and even Richards when he jumps on the apron. D-Von clotheslines Bull over the top. Goodfather is thrown off the ropes. 3-D! Buh Buh hooks the leg for the win. Richards jumps on the apron in protest and Buh Buh brings him in! D-Von clotheslines Buchanan back to the outside while Goodfather is in no fit shape to help! Buh Buh pushes D-Von. “D-VON, GET THE TABLE!” D- Von sets the table up in the ring and Richards is thrown off the ropes but Bull grabs Richards feet and drags him outside and R.T.C make a hasty exit while the Dudley’s pose for the crowd. Should have been better, the Dudleyz just seemed off their game tonight.

    Winners: The Dudley Boyz

Action switches to the back and we are shown Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley sitting in her office. There’s a knock on the door.

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “Yes, who is it?”

Test comes walking in to a surprisingly loud reaction.

    Test “Hello Stephanie.”

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “What the hell do you want?”

Test “I want Albert one on one tonight!”

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “Well guess what? I couldn’t give a damn what you want. Now get the hell out of my office!”

Test refuses to leave and slams his hand on the desk, which makes Stephanie jump.

Test “I don’t think you understand Steph. I’ not asking, I’m demanding that you give me Albert tonight.”

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “Or what? What are you going to do Test? I’ve dated you and I know your not man enough to do anything, you were never man enough to satisfy me Test. Lets face it, all you ever did was leave me disappointed!”

The crowd give a collected “ohh” as the rage in Test builds up. He grabs a terrified Steph by the throat and gets right in her face.

Test “Now I’m not here to play nice! I’m here to get what I want! Last week Albert made an idiot out of me and I want payback, now am I gonna get my match or not?”

Test releases the grip as Stephanie rearranges her collar and gets her confidence back.

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “Don’t you ever put you hands on me again! You don’t put you hands on a McMah………………….”

Test grabs Stephanie again but this time drags her over the table and puts her in a headlock. Test drags her out the office and all the way to the ring with Stephanie screaming all the way. Test throws Stephanie in the ring and enters himself before being handed a microphone.

Test “Now you’ve got two choices Stephanie, you can either give me what I want or I’ll give these people what they want and beat the crap out of you!”

The crowd cheer as Stephanie looks terrified and Test throws her the microphone to respond.

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “Ok! Ok! You can have Albert tonight, please just don’t hurt me!”

With that being said Test looks satisfied but from nowhere Albert appears and nails him with a scissors kick. Stephanie regains her composure and starts to smile evilly.

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley “You want Albert? You got him! His going to kick your ass! Remember the saying Test, be careful what you wish for, because you might just get it!”

Stephanie and Albert smile and stand tall in the middle of the ring as Test lies flat out from Albert’s shot.

Jim Ross “Good God! Albert just took his head off!”

Jerry Lawler “You don’t think he deserved it JR? He was going to hurt a defenceless women!”

Jim Ross “I don’t think Test was ever going to lay his hand on her King.”

Jerry Lawler “What do you call what he just did?”

Jim Ross “Well ok, but I don’t think her was every going to harm her King.”

Jerry Lawler “Well later tonight, Albert is defiantly going to harm Test!”

    Commercial Break

    Billy Gunn Vs Val Venis

Val comes to the ring alone, which seems mighty unfair but anyway the match starts at a slow pace with Billy Gunn in control until Val nails a nice spinebuster. Val picks up the pace but his sleeper gets countered into a backbody drop! Billy Gunn is on fire and starts to pound away at Val. Val whips Gunn off the ropes and ducks his head. That was stupid! FAMEASSER! Billy covers and gets the three, but waits he’s not done yet. Billy wants to get some wood and sets up a table of his own! Gunn places Val on the table and climbs the ropes but Goodfather and Bull Buchanan rush in to save another member of the R.T.C and take him to the back. It just hasn’t been their night tonight.

    Winner: Billy Gunn

    Commercial Break

    The Rock Vs William Regal

A mismatch of styles here. Rock takes the early lead and knocks Regal over the top with his slap punches. Rock keeps the advantage until Regal nails Rock in the head with a stiff knee. Regal takes the match to the mat now and starts to break out his unorthodox British skills, which bores the crowd a little. Rock explodes with a clothesline! Regal is sent off the ropes, SPINEBUSTER! The crowd are excited, People’s Elbow time! YES! Rock hooks the leg and Junior Hebner counts the three.

    Winner: The Rock

    Commercial Break

We come back to Raw and see Lita in the back, which gets a positive reaction from the crowd. She is looking for Matt because he has a match next but instead gets Benoit.

Chris Benoit “Hello Lita, pleased to see me?”

Lita looks, or is at least meant to look terrified.

Lita “Just leave me alone Chris.”

Benoit starts to run his fingers through Lita’s hair as she tries her hardest to look petrified.

Chris Benoit “Don’t be scared Lita, I’m not going to hurt you like I hurt Matt last week. I made him tap out Lita and if you like, I’ll make you tap out too!”

Lita slaps Benoit who shakes it off and walks off laughing manically.

Jim Ross “Benoit makes me sick, I mean terrifying a poor defenceless women!”

Jerry Lawler “Wait a second JR. How is this any different to the situation that we had between Test and Stephanie earlier?”

Jim Ross “Lita is perfectly innocent in this King, she’s done nothing to get this attention from Benoit. She doesn’t deserve this!”

    Jerry Lawler “And Stephanie does?”

Jim Ross “I didn’t say that, but Stephanie isn’t totally innocent in her situation, Lita is!”

Jerry Lawler “That doesn’t mean Stephanie deserves to be terrorised by Test!”

Jim Ross “Oh come on King, you know this is different!”

Jerry Lawler “What ever you say JR!”

    Hardcore Holly Vs Matt Hardy

Well Matt is without Lita thanks what just happened and this comes much to his surprise evidently as he keeps staring back at the stage on his entrance. Hardcore uses this to get in the first shot and starts to pound away at Matt. Matt mounts some offence when he dodges a corner clothesline and he picks up the pace. Matt’s on the second rope, Leg drop! He covers but only gets the two. Matt goes for the Twist of Fate, BLOCKED! Hardcore throws him off the ropes Matt ducks a clothesline. Spinning heel kick! Matt kicks Hardcore in the gut. TWIST OF FATE! Hardy covers, one, two, three! Hardy wins it!

    Winner: Matt Hardy

    Commercial Break

    Albert Vs Test

Terrible match, no rhythm or flow to it what so ever. The crowd voiced their disapproval with various “boring” chants too. Albert started off with some brawling, Test came back with some brawling. Some more brawling took place until Test hit the Big Boot. I think it’s clear why these two were stuck in the tag team division.

    Winner: Test

    Commercial Break

We come back with the crowd needing a lift and they get it when “Rolling” hits. Undertaker appears from the back on his trusty motorcycle and the crowd give him a good cheer, partly perhaps because they’re just glad Albert and Test are gone. Taker rides around the ring before parking his bike and entering the ring. Taker is handed a microphone and the crowd quieten down.

Undertaker “Now the reason I’m out here is pretty simple so I’ll get straight to the point. Kane! Me and you have some business to take care of so what don’t you get your ass out here!”

Much to the surprise of Undertaker and the crowd Rikishi music hits and he walks out onto the stage with a microphone.

Rikishi “I think you’re forgetting about me Undertaker. I’m the one who kicked your ass last week or has the beating given you amnesia?”

Undertaker “I haven’t forgotten what you did last week and you’ll get your payback. Nobody disrespects the Deadman without receiving payback! But for now I have business with Kane to take care of.”

Kane’s pyros explode and the crowd get excited as Kane makes his way past Rikishi and to the ring. Kane slides in and pounds away on the Undertaker who is forced to defend himself. Taker fights back with his big soup bones and nails a big boot. Taker stops his assault and learns over for a microphone but Rikishi comes running down and levels him with a Rikishi Kick! Taker is out cold! Kane recovers and both men start to pound away viciously on the Deadman. Taker is dragged to his feet. CHOKESLAM from Kane! The crowd are disgusted as both Kane and Rikishi stand over the fallen caucus of the Undertaker.

Jim Ross “What in the hell? This was no business of Rikishi’s! What in the hell is he getting involved for?”

Jerry Lawler “I might actually have to agree with you for once JR. If Undertaker isn’t bothering you then you defiantly don’t rile him up. Rikishi may have just made a huge mistake!”

Jim Ross “And Kane King, don’t forget about him!”

Jerry Lawler “I haven’t JR and I’m sure Undertaker won’t either!”

    Commercial Break

Edge & Christian w Kurt Angle Vs Steve Austin

If it wasn’t a handicap match before then Kurt Angle presence at ringside was sure to make it one now. Edge and Christian try to get a good position on Austin before charging but to no avail as Austin starts like a house on fire with some good old-fashioned Texas brawling. The match settles down into a tag handicap formula and there’s no way Austin is going down against either Edge or Christian one on one, so cue Angle to jump on the apron and take Austin’s attention which allows the brothers to nail a double clothesline and gain some control. Things are looking good for Angle now as Edge and Christian keep control with high flying and technical offence. Austin is thrown off the ropes and rebounds with a Lou Thresh Press and punches! Austin is going ape crazy knocking down Edge. Knocking down Christian and then Angle to boot, Christians in the corner. STOMP A MUDHOLE IN HIM AND WALK IT DRY! Edge tries to blindside Austin with a spear but Austin catches him with a boot. Stunner! Austin covers and Earl Hebner counts. 1! 2! 3! Austin wins it! Angle comes in for some now, STUNNER! The crowd go nuts and Austin marks the occasion with some beer, and some more, and some more…………………………………………..

    Winner: Steve Austin

Jim Ross “Austin’s done it! Austin has won a shot at the WWF Title this Thursday on Smackdown! I’m Jim Ross alongside Jerry “The King” Lawler and we’ll see you Thursday!"

    WWF Raw Preview

    January 1st 2001

Frank Erwin Center – Austin, Texas

It’s the first Raw of 2001 and it promises to be a spectacular night as we come to you live from the Erwin Center in Austin, Texas!

Texas’s own Steve Austin will be in the house and he is sure to raise the roof! After giving a beer bath to WWF Champion Kurt Angle and Stephanie McMahon on Smackdown last week, will there be any repercussions for the Texas Rattlesnake?

The end of 2000 saw Undertaker and The Rock being destroyed by Kane, William Regal and Rikishi. The Rock has a chance for some revenge when he takes on European Champion William Regal in a non-title match but don’t expect the payback to stop there. Undertaker is in Texas this week and nobody gets one over the Deadman without receiving payback!

In a rematch from last Thursday, Jeff Hardy gets another shot at Raven and his Hardcore Championship. Can the King of Extreme get the job done this time?

With all this and the Dudleyz taking on Right To Censor members Bull Buchanan and Goodfather, Billy Gunn taking on another RTC member in Val Venis and even more, you can’t afford to miss Raw on TNN 9/8 CT this week!

    New Rookie Head Booker Appointed

The WWF has hired a new head booker in Matthew Brown. Brown is of UK descendant and his appointment has come as something of a shock to the WWF backstage. Brown has been a bit part member of the writing team for only a couple of months and despite little time with the company has been handed a very prestigious and powerful post. Brown is quoted to have said, “Well it’s better then winning the lottery or my rich granddad dying.”

    Ken Shamrock To WWF?

In his first move as head booker, Brown has contracted Ken Shamrock about a possible return to the company. Shamrock is said to have been receptive to the idea and a deal is quite likely to be thrashed about before the Royal Rumble. Whether or not Shamrock will be one of the thirty entrants to the rumble is not known.

Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley & Big Bossman To Help OVW Rookies. Shawn Michaels To Return To In Ring Action?

Ray “Big Bossman” Traylor, Mick Foley and Shawn Michaels have been sent down to OVW to help train up the next generation of superstars. The WWF is interested in using big name superstars to teach the rookies the tricks of the trade and will work alongside the regular training staff already situated down there. This adds fuel to speculation about a HBK return to the WWF. It is unknown whether or not HBK will play an active role in the training but if he does then it could signal he is healthy enough for a return to in ring action.

    Jakked/Metal Dropped By WWF

TV Show Jakked/Metal has been dropped by the WWF due to poor viewing figures. Four wrestling shows a week was just considered too much.

World Wrestling Federation 2001: A New Way

2001 was in many ways a great year for the WWF. Both it’s main competitors ECW and more importantly WCW finally went out of business and Vince acquired the rights to both. Steve Austin had what should have been the greatest heel turn in wrestling history at WrestleMania, but it should have been so much more. Not just Austin’s turn, the later InVasion by ECW and WCW was in many people’s eyes pathetic, b list wrestlers being made to look incredibly weak in comparison to the WWF. The Alliance’s biggest superstars were Kurt Angle and Steve Austin, who were WWF born and bred. Going back to the turn of Austin, it was ok but done at the wrong time. Austin was still getting cheered. People didn’t want to boo the rattlesnake; it wasn’t what McMahon had planned. So here’s another shot at 2001 and this time with a new leader and new deck of cards. Will ECW and WCW survive this time? Will Austin turn at WrestleMania? What else will happen? That’s down to two things and two things only, me and the world of T.E.W! Welcome to a new way!

    Current Storyline Situation

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley is currently obsessed with power and being as successful as her husband Triple H and her father Vince McMahon. This has lead to her making an alliance with Team ECK and getting into various scrapes with Chris Jericho, Steve Austin, The Rock and others. Vince is also having a secret affair with Trish Stratus, which hasn’t been discovered yet. Kurt Angle successfully defended his WWF Title against 5 other men at Armageddon in a Hell In A Cell. Those men were, Triple H, The Rock, Steve Austin, Undertaker and Rikishi. As an interesting side note, Austin’s wife Debra is lieutenant commissioner and with Commissioner Mick Foley’s firing she has the full time job thrust upon her. Triple H has been out with an injury suffered in the cell and at the moment it looks as if Kurt Angle, Stephanie and Vince have formed a tight alliance with Edge and Christian also included.

Rikishi recently returned and attacked his cousin The Rock and Undertaker on the final Raw of the year. Kane, Rock, Undertaker, Austin, Regal and Rikishi have been pretty much feuding with each other as we leave 2000 with the sides looking like this, Austin/Rock/Undertaker Vs Kane/Regal/Rikishi.

Edge and Christian are feuding with the Dudleyz after scoring a cheap pin fall win at Armageddon to take the Tag Titles.

T & A have just broken up much to the delight of Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley who saw her former lover Test turned on by his partner Albert.

The Radicalz are feuding with Matt and Jeff Hardy and have also laid their hands on Lita. Matt and Lita are also having their problems with Lita costing Matt a match or two and Matt showing little sympathy for Lita when Benoit attacks her.

Chyna has been out with neck surgery thanks to a spike piledriver from Ivory. The whole incident has been hyped up with a teary interview with Chyna and images of her recovery. Ivory and The R.T.C have shown little remorse and even conducted a piss take interview with Val as J.R and Ivory as Chyna. Billy Gunn has allied himself with Chyna and is currently feuding with the R.T.C along with the APA.

  13. Jim Ross “Hey, hey! Maybe these two are on the same page after all!”

Jerry Lawler “Shut up JR! Come on you two! Mr McMahon needs business taken care of!”

Rock starts to come out of the corner and both men nail him with a throat thrust to send him back. Taker’s body language indicates he will let Kane attack Rock and he steps aside. Kane starts to hammer away and chokes Rock while Taker looks on. Taker then taps Kane on the shoulder and Kane steps aside as Taker hammers away at Rock and chokes him. Kane then taps Taker on the shoulder, and nails him with a right hand!

Jerry Lawler “Ah! What the hell was that?”

Kane starts hammering away at Taker and throws him off the ropes and nails a sidewalk slam. Kane covers but Taker kicks out. Kane lets Taker to his feet and a recovered Rock comes over. Rock and Kane hammer away at Taker and throw him off the ropes and nail a double clothesline. Rock then hammers Kane and takes him to the corner. Rock explodes with right hands to leave Kane slumping and then begins to stomp away at him. Rock throws Kane to the opposing buckle and follows up with a charge but Kane nails a big boot. Kane covers and gets a near fall when Taker breaks the pin.

Jerry Lawler “Kane had it won! What is Taker doing?”

Jim Ross “So much for their agreement.”

Kane gets up angrily and he and Taker stare off again. Taker hammers Kane with a right and Kane fights back. Both men trade blows until Kane gets the upper hand and whips Taker off the ropes. Taker comes back with a clothesline. Rock recovers and attacks Taker. Rock hammers away until taking Taker outside with a clothesline. Rock follows and starts to punch Taker on the outside much to the front rows excitement. Rock bounces Taker’s head off the steel steps before ramming it off the ring post. Rock looks to bounce his head off the steps again but Taker blocks and nails Rock off the steps! Taker hammers away at Rock and throws him towards the crowd barrier. Taker then drops Rock throat first onto the barrier. Taker then viciously whips Rock who goes colliding back first into the steel steps and dislodges them.

Jim Ross “The Undertaker has started to hand out the punishment on The Rock.”

Jerry Lawler “Yeh, McMahon should of just forgot about Kane. He’s been useless JR!”

Kane comes to the outside and hammers Taker from behind. Kane bounces Taker’s head off the ring apron and then throws him into the ring. Kane slides in and trades blow with Taker. Kane throws him off the ropes and nails a backbody drop. Kane runs off the ropes and hits a leg drop. Kane covers for a two count. Kane starts to kick Taker in the gut and hooks him up for a DDT. Taker blocks Kane and hammers him in the midsection forcing the hold to be broken. Taker hammers away at Kane and throws him into the buckle. Taker nails him with a corner clothesline and starts to pummel him. Taker brings him out with right hands and throws him off the ropes. Kane gets nailed with a big boot!

Jim Ross “Undertaker is building momentum here!”

Taker waits for Kane to get up and throws his hand around his throat. Both men jockey around the ring until Rock pull Taker out! Rock bounces his head off the apron and barrier. Rock opens up with right hands as the crowd go nuts. Rock then throws Taker into the ring post. Kane has turned his attention to Rock and comes to the outside. Rock sees him and ducks a right hand. Rock hammers away at Kane and throws him towards JR and The King who get a little nervous. Rock continually bounces Kane off the announce table and bad mouths him before one last big smack of it. The crowd go nuts.

Jim Ross “The Rock is exploding King. He might be able to do it! He might be able to do what even Austin couldn’t do! He might be able to survive the brothers.”

Jerry Lawler “Come on Kane, fight back! Where’s Undertaker?”

Rock throws Kane inside the ring and re-enters himself. Rock bounces off the ropes and ducks a Kane clothesline and with incredible velocity leaves his feet to take Kane out with a clothesline. Rock covers but to the dismay of the crowd Taker recovers to break the count. Taker picks up Rock and nails him in the midsection with a knee before taking him down with a throat thrust. Kane recovers and both men throw Rock off the ropes and nail a double big boot. Taker signals for the end and both men help Rock to his feet before clasping him around the throat. Double Chokeslam! Both men cover but the referee refuses to count. Taker and Kane both realise and get up and advance on him.

Jerry Lawler “What is Hebner doing?”

Jim Ross “He’s our senior referee King and he’s using his brain. All of the confusion over the title came from this very situation at Breakdown!”

Kane clasps Hebner by the throat and Taker uses this to blindside him. Taker hammers away at his back and throws him off the ropes. Both men have the same idea and take each other out with clotheslines. Rock starts to stir and with crowd support crawl across to the motionless brothers. Rock drapes an arm over both brothers and the ref drops down and counts but both get their shoulders up on two, to the disappointment of the crowd. Rock can’t believe it as he sits up. Rock picks up Kane and throws him off the ropes before taking him down with a clothesline. Rock throws a recovering Taker off the ropes and nails him with a samoan drop. Rock stomps both men before scoop slamming Kane down and then Taker. Rock motions for a double People’s Elbow as the crowd go wild!

Jim Ross “A double people’s elbow! Listen to the crowd!”

Rock bounces off the ropes and YES! Rock covers both brothers and the referee counts them out! Rock celebrates on the turnbuckles as the crowd go nuts!

Jim Ross “Rock has done it! Good God, Rock has survived! He beat both the brothers! The Rock is the number one contender!”

Jerry Lawler “Let me tell you something JR. Mr McMahon is not going to be happy. Kane and Undertaker will have hell to pay.”

Jim Ross “I’m sure they’re shaking in their boots.”

Actions switches backstage and McMahon is talking over tactics with Slaughter, Briscoe and Patterson.

Vince McMahon “Is everything ready for tonight?”

Sergeant Slaughter “Everyone knows their orders and everything is in place.”

Vince McMahon “Good, because if any of you screw up, there’ll be hell to pay! Do you understand?”

Briscoe “Don’t worry Mr McMahon. Everything is in place.”

Jim Ross “I don’t like the sounds of this King. Everything is in place?”

Jerry Lawler “You thought Mr McMahon wouldn’t have a plan b JR?”

    European Championship

Jeff Jarrett w Debra Vs X Pac ©

<Footage of Breakdown is shown and Jeff Jarrett nailing X Pac with a guitar. Then we are shown X Pac returning to attack Jarrett and Southern Justice on Raw to set up this match.>

Jeff Jarrett’s music starts up and out he comes accompanied by Debra and wielding his trusty guitar. Jarrett makes his way to the ring and climbs on the turnbuckle to taunt the crowd.

Jerry Lawler “I’ve got a prediction for you JR.”

Jim Ross “Oh, what’s that King?”

Jerry Lawler “X Pac is going to get busted open thanks to that guitar.”

Jim Ross “Well we certainly hope that doesn’t happen.”

“X Paccccc, X Pac” X Pac’s music hits and the crowd go nuts as he comes jumping from the back. He stands on the aisle and does the “suck it” sign before making his way to the ring proudly displaying the European Title. He jumps on the apron and into the ring before making his way to the middle. He does the suck it sign in time with fireworks before jumping up on the final firework. X Pac hands his title over to the referee and he holds the title up. The bell rings and both men circle.

Jim Ross “Here we go! European Title on the line!”

Both men lock up and Jarrett gets X Pac in a headlock. X Pac throws Jarrett of the ropes and nails a spin kick. X Pac covers for a two count. Both men get up and Jarrett swings but X Pac’s ducks and takes down Jarrett with a backbody drop. X Pac throws some punches to Jarrett and throws him to the buckle. X Pac nails Jarrett in the corner. Jarrett reverses a whip and X Pac jumps up before hitting the opposing buckle. Jarrett goes under him and X Pac rolls him up for two. Both men get up and X Pac clotheslines Jarrett down.

Jim Ross “X Pac in total control so far.”

X Pac throws Jarrett to the buckle but Jarrett catches him with a thumb to the eye coming in. Jarrett hammers away at X Pac coming out and bounces his head off the turnbuckle. Jarrett hammers away at X Pac in the corner and when he slumps starts to choke him with his boot. The referee makes him break on four and Jarrett berates him for it. Jarrett comes back to the corner and X Pac catches him with a kick to the midsection. X Pac works on Jarrett with right hands and a boot to the midsection. DDT! X Pac covers for a near fall.

    Jerry Lawler “Come on Jeff!”

X Pac picks up Jarrett who catches him with a right hand. Jarrett lays into X Pac. Jarrett throws X Pac off the ropes but X Pac rebounds with a crossbody block for a two count. Both men get to their feet and X Pac looks for a roundhouse but Jarrett ducks and takes out the standing leg (left). Jarrett sees an opening and starts to kick the leg of X Pac. Jarrett drops an elbow onto the inner thigh of the left and locks in.

Jim Ross “Smart strategy by Jarrett here. Ground the faster man.”

Jerry Lawler “Well if he can’t walk JR, he certainly can’t fly!”

Jarrett releases the hold and takes Pac to the ropes. He places Pac’s left foot on the bottom rope and drops his weight down onto the leg. Jarrett places it on again and does the same before dragging X Pac to the middle. Jarrett locks in a spinning toehold on X Pac and has him screaming in pain.

Jerry Lawler “This is it JR! New European Champion!”

Jim Ross “X Pac will never give up on ya! I promise you that. This kid has real heart!”

X Pac uses his right leg to kick Jarrett in the back and gets him to release the hold. Jarrett turns around and X Pac catches him in an inside cradle for a two count. Both men get up and X Pac blocks a right hand and nails one of his own. X Pac hammers away at Jarrett and backs him into the corner but Jarrett kicks Pac’s left leg to regain control. Jarrett kicks the leg again and X Pac falls to the floor. Jarrett picks up X Pac and scoop slams him down before running off the ropes to nail a knee drop. Jarrett covers for two.

Jim Ross “X Pac just kicks out!”

Jarrett goes back to the legs and stomps away at it. Jarrett drags X Pac to the corner and drops to the outside. He pulls Pac towards the ring post and wraps his leg around it. Jarrett taunts some of the crowd before grabbing both of Pac’s legs. He took to long though and X Pac pulls him face first into the post.

Jim Ross “X Pac has caused some separation here. It gives him a chance to get some blood back into that left leg!”

Jerry Lawler “Come on Double J!”

X Pac is up on and shaking his leg loose before going to met Jarrett outside. He grabs the recovering Jarrett and hammers away at him. He throws him into the ring and climbs the turnbuckle. Pac jumps off for a dropkick but Jarrett moves and he lands awkwardly on his left leg. Jarrett like a cat gets back to the leg and stomps away before dropping an elbow or two.

Jerry Lawler “It’s just a matter of time now!”

Jarrett signals for the Figure Four and looks to lock it in but Pac kicks him in the ass and Jarrett goes through the ropes and to the outside again. After some more separation X Pac runs off the ropes and nails Jarret with a cross body from inside! The crowd pop well. Pac struggles up holding his left leg and boots Jarrett in the midsection. X Pac looks for a piledriver but Jarrett slips out of it and punches Pac in the right leg. Jarrett hooks X Pac up and nails a DDT.

Jim Ross “A DDT on the outside! Don’t let the crash mats fool you folks, they offer no protection from the steel floor.”

Jerry Lawler “Yeh, they’re incredibly thin!”

Jarrett throws X Pac back in and covers for a near fall. Jarrett nails X Pac with a kick to the midsection and hooks him up for a suplex. He lifts him but Pac slips out on top and as Jarrett turns around nails a spin kick. Pac goes flying off the ropes to nail another kick and quickly gets up. X Pac throws Jarrett to the corner and nails martial arts kicks almost totally forgetting the legwork by Jarrett earlier. X Pac has Jarrett on the floor and on his seemingly perfectly health legs, signals for the Bronco Buster. Debra though grabs X Pac’s leg and turns his attention away.

Jim Ross “What the hell is she doing?”

X Pac grabs Debra by the hair and drags her onto the apron to the excitement of the crowd. He starts to moan at her but Jarrett uses the time to nail Pac from behind with a chop block. Pac goes down in agony and Jarrett quickly drags X Pac to the middle of the ring. Figure Four! Jarret has it locked in!

Jerry Lawler “X Pac has got to tap! We have a new European Champion JR!”

Jim Ross “Not yet King! X Pac heart is incredible!”

X Pac is screaming in pain in the middle of the ring. He tries to turn Jarrett but Jarrett has the superior leg strength. Pac’s shoulders drop and the referee looks to count him out but he gets up on two. X Pac is close to tapping but the crowd will him on. He looks to and, yes X Pac turns Jarrett! The pressure is on Jarrett now!

Jerry Lawler “Ah! Get to the ropes Jeff!”

Jim Ross “Will you try being impartial for once?”

Jerry Lawler “I am impartial JR! I just prefer Jeff Jarrett.”

Jarrett scrambles to the ropes and the referee untangles the legs. Jarrett is up first and clubs away at X Pac. He throws Pac off the ropes but ducks his head too soon and WHAM! X Factor! X Pac hooks the leg and the referee counts the three.

Jim Ross “X Pac retains the European Title!”

Jerry Lawler “He cheated JR! His feet where all over the ropes!”

Jim Ross “They were in the middle of the ring!”

Jerry Lawler “Well he does have long legs JR.”

The cameras go to the back and show Kane trying to catch up with a pissed off Undertaker. Taker is walking at a pace to avoid him but Kane catches up and forcefully turns Taker around. Taker just looks at Kane with disgust and hatred before walking off and leaving a confused Kane.

Jim Ross “Well Undertaker certainly doesn’t seem to happy with his brother right now.”

Jerry Lawler “I don’t blame him. Kane really dropped the ball tonight JR.”

Jim Ross “I’m not sure that was quite the case but in any event with have out main event, next!”

“Good God! Austin needs medical help. McMahon that son of a bitch!”

<McMahon’s beatdown after the match are shown. We finally lay on a stricken, bloody and motionless Austin.>

“Damn it! McMahon is gonna have hell to pay this Sunday!”

The glass shatters and the crowd go nuts as Austin appears from the back. Austin walks with a purpose to the ring before entering and saluting the crowd in all four corners.

Jim Ross “Tonight Vince McMahon is gonna have hell to pay!”

“No Chance that’s what ‘cha got” Vince McMahon’s music plays as the crowd boo loudly. McMahon doesn’t appear though and Austin learns over the ropes motioning him towards the ring.

Jim Ross “Where in the hell is McMahon?”

Suddenly Pat Patterson appears on the rampway and the music dies down.

Pat Patterson “Austin. There have been some changes made to tonight’s match. First, let me introduce to you, the special guest referee, Gerald Briscoe!”

Briscoe appears from the back with a referee’s shirt and enters the ring before ejecting Earl Hebner.

Pat Patterson “Also in the interest of fairness and to make sure things are done right, I will be the special guest time keeper. So without any further ado, let me introduce to you, the WWF Champion, Mr Vince McMahon!”

Nothing happens for a good few moments until from nowhere McMahon nails Austin from behind and Briscoe calls for the bell.

Jim Ross “Well I guess this was the plan Mr McMahon was talking about. What chance does Austin stand now? This is a disgrace.”

Jerry Lawler “This is a great plan JR. It’s foolproof!”

McMahon continues to nail Austin in the back and throws him into the buckle. McMahon hits some right hands until Austin blocks one and gives the finger! Austin throws McMahon in the corner and goes wild with right hands and McMahon drops. Austin trash talks McMahon before stomping away at him until McMahon falls out the ring.

Jerry Lawler “Come on Briscoe, do something!”

Austin goes to the outside and throws McMahon into the guardrail and takes him over with a clothesline. Briscoe has begun a count on Austin who is beating the living hell out of McMahon in the crowd. Austin notices the count and runs back in on nine. Austin berates Briscoe. Austin decides negotiations are getting nowhere and nails a stunner on Briscoe!

Jim Ross “Briscoe gets the stunner!”

Jerry Lawler “Ah! That’s a disqualification! Ring the bell Patterson!”

Jim Ross “I don’t think Briscoe is in any position to call it.”

Patterson comes in the ring and Austin nails a stunner on him too! McMahon is walking down the aisle looking to escape! Austin see’s it and begins to stalk McMahon down the aisle. Austin grabs McMahon and throws him into the guardrail. Austin unloads with right hands on McMahon as the crowd go nuts! McMahon in desperation manages to smash Austin’s skull off the guardrail!

Jerry Lawler “Haha! Run Mr McMahon! Run!”

McMahon starts to walk away from Austin and gets through the stage curtain and into the back stage area. He starts to rest thinking the ordeal is over. But Austin recovers and follows! Austin goes through the curtain and McMahon looks scared to death! McMahon tries to run off but Austin nails him with a clothesline to the back of the head. Austin bounces McMahon’s head off a near by table and throws him into the wall.

Jim Ross “Austin is beating the living hell outta McMahon!”

Jerry Lawler “Oh no. This is terrible.”

Austin stomps away at McMahon on the floor until from nowhere Commissioner Slaughter nails him with a chair! Austin slumps down and Slaughter puts the boots into Austin! Austin tries to get up and is groggy on his feet but Slaughter hits a sick shot right off the skull! Austin is busted wide open!

Jim Ross “Oh my god! Austin is busted open! What the hell is this? Commissioner Slaughter! What the hell?”

Jerry Lawler “Haha! Slaughter getting the job done!”

Slaughter helps a groggy McMahon to his feet and both men drag Austin to the to the rampway. Slaughter throws Austin on the floor and stomps away at him before throwing him into the guardrail. A still groggy McMahon sends a reluctant Slaughter to the back and gets a sick smile on his face.

Jerry Lawler “Yes! Yes! Make him suffer Mr McMahon”

Jim Ross “Make him suffer Mr McMahon! I love you Mr McMahon! Can I kiss your ass Mr McMahon? You make me sick and this whole situation makes me sick!”

Jerry Lawler “Come on JR get on the winning team!”

Jim Ross “Austin isn’t done! Austin can still do it. Come on Austin!”

Jerry Lawler “False hope JR. False hope.”

McMahon kicks Austin down the ramp and bounces his head off the ring apron. McMahon throws Austin into the ring steps and then bounces him off the guardrail. McMahon hammers away at Austin and taunts to a disgusted crowd. McMahon rolls Austin into the ring. Austin crawls to the corner and McMahon gives him the finger before stomping a mudhole in him. And walking it dry. The crowd are giving McMahon hell. A riot is about to start!

Jim Ross “This crowd, just like me are disgusted. This is not the way the owner of the WWF should be acting. I use to think McMahon was a decent man but tonight has removed all doubt. Mr McMahon is a jackass!”

Jerry Lawler “Watch your mouth JR!”

Jim Ross “Watch my mouth? Why the hell should I? The owner of this company is drunk on power and corrupt.”

Jerry Lawler “Well there’s two pretty good reason.”

McMahon throws McMahon off the ropes and Austin rebounds with a Lou Thesz Press to the biggest pop of the night! Austin hammers away at McMahon with vicious right hands. Briscoe has recovered and tries to get Austin off McMahon. Austin gets up and another Stunner to Briscoe! Austin gives Paterson the finger and a Stunner too. Here comes Slaughter. Slaughter clubs Austin from behind and gets thrown off the ropes but Austin rebounds with a Lou Thesz Press and punches before nailing a Stunner!

Jim Ross “Listen to this crowd! They are going nuts! Austin is beating the living hell out of anyone in his way!”

McMahon uses the time to recover and as Austin turns around McMahon nails him in the gut and nails the Stunner on Austin! Austin just got Stunnered! McMahon makes the cover but there’s no referee. McMahon is irate! He motions to the back and down comes Earl Hebner, the official referee for the match. McMahon covers. One, two, thre-no! Last possible second and Austin kicks out! The crowd go wild!

Jim Ross “Austin kicked out! Good god Austin kicked out! The rattlesnake is still going!”

McMahon looks pissed off and moans at Hebner before turning his attention to Austin. McMahon kicks Austin and gives him the finger. McMahon goes for the stunner and NO! Austin pushes him into the ropes and kicks McMahon as he comes back. Austin gives McMahon the finger and STUNNER! Stunner on McMahon! Austin covers! One! Two! Three. Austin has done it! Austin has regained the gold! The crowd go wild!

Jim Ross “Austin! Austin! New WWF Champion! Austin has done it!”

    Jerry Lawler “Oh no.”

Austin signals for some beers and starts to toast all four corners of the crowd.

Jim Ross “Austin overcame it all! A vicious assault! Three outside interferences! Chair shots! The Stone Cold Stunner! Austin overcame it all and is the new WWF Champion! Listen to this crowd! Goodnight!”

Jerry Lawler “That’s right JR! Tonight, for the first time in WWF history we are going to have to cancel a main event!”

Jim Ross “What? Are you kidding me King?”

Jerry Lawler “Steve Austin is in no condition to wrestle JR. I can tell you that first hand. He suffered severe internal injuries on Monday and there is no chance in hell that Austin will even be here tonight!”

Jim Ross “I disagree King, I know the rattlesnake won’t let us down!”

    WWF Tag Team Championship Match

The New Age Outlaws © Vs Southern Justice

“Oh you didn’t know? Then you’re ass better call somebodyyyyyyy!” The crowd go wild as Road Dogg and “Bad Ass” Billy Gunn appear from the back. As ever Road Dogg has his trusty microphone in hand.

Road Dogg “Rosemont, Illinois! Let’s make some noise up in this visit!”

The crowd go wild as Road Dogg and Gunn enter the ring.

    Road Dogg “Cut the music!”

The music cuts as the crowd join in with Road Dogg.

Road Dogg “Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages! Degeneration X proudly brings to you its Tag Team Champion’s of the Worldddddddddddd!”

    The crowd go wild.

Road Dogg “The Road Dogg Jesse James! The “Bad Ass” Billy Gunn! The New Age Outlaws!”

    The crowd go wild.

Jerry Lawler “I wish somebody would shut Road Dogg up!”

Jim Ross “Then Billy Gunn has two words for ya King”

    Jerry Lawler “Huh?”

Road Dogg hands the microphone to Billy Gunn.

Billy Gunn “And Rosemont, Illinois! If you’re not down with that, we got two words for ya!”

Gunn thrust the microphone in the air as the crowd shout “Suck It”.

    Jerry Lawler “Hey!”

Southern Justices music starts up and Dennis Knight and Mark Canterbury appear from the back looking in a mean mood. They enter the ring and the referee shows both teams and the crowd what’s on the line.

Jim Ross “The tag team title’s are on the line!”

The referee calls for the bell and it’s Billy Gunn and Dennis Knight to start us off. Both men lock up and Gunn surprising throws the big man to the ground to the delight of the crowd.

Jerry Lawler “How in the hell did Gunn do that?”

Jim Ross “Billy Gunn is one hell of an athlete King! Perhaps the best pure athlete in the whole WWF!”

Both men lock up again but Knight goes downstairs with a knee to the gut and throws Gunn off the ropes but Gunn rebounds with a ferocious clothesline. Gunn stomps away at Knight who backs up into the ropes and the referee calls for the break.

Jim Ross “I think Dennis Knight is having trouble coping with Billy Gunn’s raw power King!”

Knight goes to his corner and tags in Mark Canterbury. Canterbury asks Gunn for a test of strength and Gunn goes to lock up but Canterbury goes downstairs with a knee to the gut and starts to pound away at Gunn. Gunn is backed into the corner where Canterbury pounds away some more before biting the forehead of Gunn. The referee starts to berate Canterbury who shrugs it off and drags Gunn to his corner to tag in Knight.

Jim Ross “It looks like Southern Justice are going to isolate Billy Gunn.”

Jerry Lawler “Smart tactic’s JR. I knew they’d take control.”

Canterbury holds up Gunn’s arm and gives Knight a free shot at his ribs. Gunn drops to the floor and Knight covers for a one count. Gunn is thrown off the ropes and gets airtime with a high backbody drop. Knight stomps away at Gunn and drops some elbows right to the heart. Knight drags Gunn back to their corner and tags in Canterbury.

Jim Ross “Quick tags by Southern Justice in an attempt to kick the fresh man in the ring.”

Gunn is thrown off the ropes and dropped with a double clothesline. Canterbury makes the cover but Road Dogg interrupts the count. The referee backs Road Dogg into his corner and berates him. Southern Justice takes this opportunity to do a double beatdown on Gunn.

Jim Ross “Oh come on! What the hell is this?”

Jerry Lawler “Love it or hate it JR. It’s smart tag team wrestling.”

Canterbury throws Gunn off the ropes and locks in a sleeper. Gunn struggles but drops to one knee. Gunn starts to turn beetroot red and drops to both knees. The referee checks the arm of Billy Gunn and it drops once. Road Dogg gets the crowd involved but Gunn’s arm still drops on the second time. The referee looks for the third arm drop but Gunn keeps it up to the cheers of the crowd.

Jim Ross “Billy Gunn isn’t out of it yet!”

Gunn makes it to a vertical base and elbows Canterbury, which breaks the hold. Gunn throws Canterbury off the ropes and drops him with a clothesline. Gunn explodes with a second wind and nails Canterbury towards the corner and pounds away at him. The referee has to break the two up and backs Gunn away. Gunn goes back towards Canterbury who rakes his eyes and drops him with a bodyslam.

Jerry Lawler “I told you JR! He should have tagged when he had the chance!”

Jim Ross “I can’t argue there King.”

Canterbury stomps away at Gunn and drops a succession of elbows before covering but once again Road Dogg makes the save. The referee once again berates Road Dogg and Canterbury uses this to choke Gunn on the mat. The referee turns around to see this and gets to four before Canterbury breaks the hold. Canterbury picks up Gunn and locks in a headlock before rubbing him across the ropes to another berating from the referee. Canterbury makes the tag to Knight.

Jerry Lawler “Tonight we’re gonna have new Tag Champions JR! I can feel it!”

Canterbury holds Gunn by the arms while Knight unloads with a stiff right hand. Gunn drops and Knight stomps away. Knight throws Gunn off the ropes and ducks his head, but too soon! Gunn buys himself some time with a swinging neckbreaker. The crowd and Road Dogg will Gunn to his corner and Knight looks for a tag too. Knight makes the tag and so does Gunn!

Jim Ross “Billy Gunn gets the tag!”

    Jerry Lawler “Oh no!”

Road Dogg unloads on both Knight and Canterbury to the cheers of the crowd. Knight charges at Dogg but Road Dogg throws him over the top to a good pop. Road Dogg goes to Canterbury in the corner and unloads with right hands. Dogg throws Canterbury into the opposite buckle and as he stumbles out nails a backbody drop. Road Dogg picks up Canterbury and starts to jab punch him. Road Dogg starts to do his customary dance for his last punch but Canterbury nails him with a clothesline!

    Jerry Lawler “Haha!”

Knight re-enters the ring now but a recovered Billy Gunn takes him over the top with a clothesline and they brawl on the outside. The referee turns his attention to the outside while Road Dogg fights back with right hands but Canterbury turns the tide with a kick to the jewels and sends Road Dogg down. Canterbury makes the cover and the referee turns around to give a near fall. Canterbury starts to argue about the count and Road Dogg uses this time to get to his feet. Road Dogg jabs Canterbury as he turns around and this time nails the Shake, Rattle and Roll. Road Dogg picks up Canterbury off the ropes and takes him down with a drop toehold before tagging in Billy Gunn. Gunn nails Canterbury in the ribs as Dogg hold him and picks him back up. Gunn throws him off the ropes and impressively lifts him up in a gorilla press slam!

Jim Ross “What a show of pure strength from Billy Gunn!”

Gunn drops Canterbury and covers but Knight breaks the pin. Road Dogg enters and attacks Knight and takes him out the ring with a clothesline. Gunn picks up Canterbury and nails him in the gut. He runs off the ropes and nails the Fame Asser! Road Dogg does the suck it sign in timing with the referee’s three count. The referee gets the Tag Title’s and hand them to Gunn and Dogg and both men celebrate to the crowd on the turnbuckles.

Jim Ross “The Outlaws retain their title’s!”

Jerry Lawler “Well I have to hand it to them JR. It looked shaky for a while but they came through.”

Action switching to the back and Stone Cold is shown arriving at the Rosemont Horizon! The crowd go nuts!

Jim Ross “Austin’s here! Austin’s here!”

Jerry Lawler “Ah! What the hell is Austin doing here?”

Jim Ross “He’s here to get some retribution damn it!”

Jerry Lawler “He can’t be 100% JR!”

Jim Ross “I don’t think he cares King! He’s here to kick some ass!”

    Edge Vs Gangrel

Gangrel’s gothic music starts up and the lights dim. Gangrel rises up from the ground and to the arena with a red liquid in a gothic glass. Gangrel begins his walk to the ring.

Jim Ross “Just what is that red liquid King?”

    Jerry Lawler “Well dur.”

Jim Ross “Oh you don’t think?”

Gangrel stops at the steps to take his shades off and takes a finger full of liquid before drinking from the cup. Gangrel places the cup down and spits it on the fans to their annoyance. Gangrel enter’s the ring and warms up on the ropes as the light return to normal.

Jim Ross “Well I don’t know what that liquid is but I do know that behind this gothic persona lies a very talented rookie. Edge is going have to be at his best to beat Gangrel tonight!”

“You think you know me?” Edge’s music starts up and the lights dim as camera pans the crowd until it settles on Edge appearing through the fans to a decent pop. Edge slides into the ring ready for action and the lights brighten.

Jerry Lawler “Why can’t he come down the ramp like anybody else?”

Jim Ross “Edge is a young free spirit King. He doesn’t want to conform.”

Jerry Lawler “Well if he wants answer about his brother, then tonight he has to “conform” to win this match.”

Edge and Gangrel lock up and Gangrel locks a headlock in. Edge throws Gangrel off the ropes and nails a dropkick to take Gangrel to the outside. Gangrel slams the apron and re-enters. Gangrel and Edge lock up once more and Gangrel goes behind and nails Edge on the back repeatedly to knock Edge to the floor. Gangrel bounces off the ropes and nails a clothesline and follows up with twisting elbow drops right to the heart of Edge and covers for two.

Jim Ross “Edge has got to pick up the pace here is he wants to win tonight.”

Gangrel throws Edge off the ropes and Edge rebounds quickly and ducks a clothesline and on his way back nails a crossbody block. Edge covers for a two count. Gangrel is met with rights on his way back up and Edge whips Gangrel into the buckle and he hits hard! Edge advances on Gangrel and places him on the top. Edge looks for a top rope hurricanarana but Gangrel counters into a massive powerbomb. The referee counts for a near fall.

Jim Ross “How close was that?”

Jerry Lawler “How did Edge kick out of that?”

Gangrel puts the boots to Edge before whipping him to the opposite buckle and following with a lariat. Gangrel goes all out with kicks to the ribs until the referee calls for the break. Edge struggles up and Gangrel nails him with a clothesline before unloading on him with punches. Gangrel takes Edge out the corner with a suplex and pins for a two. Gangrel stomps away at Edge some more and Edge struggles to the ropes and the ref calls for the break.

Jerry Lawler “Gangrel is dominating Edge here JR.”

Jim Ross “Edge hasn’t picked up the pace and as result has had very little offence in this match. For Edge to win he needs a faster pace matchup.”

Gangrel nails a bulldog on Edge. Gangrel allows Edge up and nails his head off the turnbuckle. Gangrel whips Edge but it gets reversed. Edge charges at Gangrel but Gangrel ducks and dumps Edge to the outside. The referee stops Gangrel from following and Edge re-enters the ring. Gangrel nails a right hand on Edge and hooks him up for a suplex but Edge escapes and drops down behind before rolling Gangrel up for two. Both men get up and Gangrel takes Edge down with a clothesline. Gangrel locks in a reverse chinlock.

Jim Ross “Sound strategy by Gangrel thus far. Keep the faster man grounded.”

The crowd cheer on Edge who elbows out of the hold and goes for the whip but has it reversed. Edge rebounds with a heel kick. Gangrel gets up and is met with dropkick. Gangrel gets up but is kicked in the gut. Edge nails a DDT and covers for two. A rejuvenated Edge climbs to the top and waits for Gangrel to stand. Edge nails a missile dropkick and covers for a near fall.

Jim Ross “Edge has quickened that pace and as a result has taken control of this match.”

Edge picks up Gangrel and throws him off the ropes to nail a dropkick. Edge goes to the top again and nails a cross body and cover for a two. Edge punches Gangrel and backs him into the corner. Edge throws Gangrel to the opposing corner. Edge charges at Gangrel but he gets his feet up. Gangrel bounces Edge’s head off the turnbuckle. Gangrel unloads with rights on Edge before dragging him out by the hair. Gangrel nails a bodyslam and goes to the top. Gangrel slips and Edge is quick as a cat back up and meets Gangrel at the top with a sweet dropkick that crotches Gangrel. Edge hooks Gangrel up for a suplex from the top but has it blocked. Gangrel nails Edge in the ribs and throws Edge off the top. Gangrel hits a crossbody but Edge rolls through for a near fall.

    Jerry Lawler “Whoa!”

Jim Ross “How close was that!”

Both men get up and Gangrel goes for the punch but Edge blocks and nails his own. Gangrel tries again but Edge hammers away at him and backs him into the ropes. Edge clotheslines Gangrel over the top and climbs the turnbuckle. Edge flies of at Gangrel as the crowd get excited but Gangrel directs Edge throat first onto the security wall!

Jim Ross “Good god! Edge just went throat first into the security wall!”

Gangrel hammers away at Edge before lifting him up and dropping him throat first again on the security wall. Gangrel throws Edge back into the ring and covers for a two count. Gangrel throws Edge off the ropes and slams him with a hard powerslam and covers for another two count.

Jim Ross “Edge refuses to give up!”

A frustrated Gangrel hits the mat before picking Edge up and throwing him off the ropes but Edge rebounds with a lighting fast spear! Suddenly the same familiar figure from Breakdown comes through the crowd and Edge goes over and looks in shock. Edge starts to shout at the figure. The figure enters the ring and both men square off in the middle with Edge’s face one of total shock.

Jim Ross “Who the hell is this guy?”

Jerry Lawler “Well it’s Edge’s brother but what’s he doing here?”

The referee shouts at the figure to leave to no effect. Gangrel gets up now and clubs Edge from behind while the figure goes to the outside. Gangrel throws Edge off the ropes and nails a clothesline. Gangrel picks up Edge and hooks up for the Impaler but Edge gets to the ropes and hangs on. Gangrel lets go and Edge peppers him with right hands. Gangrel is backed into the middle of the ring and swings with a right hand but Edge goes behind throws him into the turnbuckle. Edge charges but Gangrel gets his feet up. Gangrel comes out but Edge catches him in a small package right by the ropes. The referee gets to two but the figure alters the move to put Gangrel on top and the referee doesn’t detect. Gangrel has Edge’s shoulders down and gets the three.

Jim Ross “Oh come on! Edge’s “brother” just cost him another match!”

Jerry Lawler “Yeh. Only this time it was no mistake JR! He actively put his hands on Edge to make him lose!”

Edge recovers and the starts to shout at the figure on the outside. Gangrel uses this and nails Edge from behind to the disgust of the crowd. Gangrel stomps away at Edge and the figure enters the ring seemingly to stop Gangrel. He backs Gangrel off then to everyone’s surprise starts to stomp Edge himself to the disgust of the crowd. Both men stomp away at Edge before holding their hands up in celebration!

Jim Ross “Good god what the hell is this?”

Jerry Lawler “Who is this JR?”

Jim Ross “I don’t know! What the hell? This is just wrong!”

Action switches to backstage and Michael Cole is given the grim task of interviewing Kane and The Undertaker.

Michael Cole “Tonight you two take on The Rock in a triple threat match. The question on everybody’s mind is will you two work together?”

Kane and Taker take a look at each other before Taker speaks.

The Undertaker “Kane and I have reached an understanding. The only thing I guarantee is that the soul of The Rock will be tainted with his blood and not the glory he seeks.”

Michael Cole “So ultimately who will take the fall and allow his brother to win?”

Both men again look at each other.

The Undertaker “Not only is that not the business of you or anybody else here, it is not the important issue. The issue here the extracting of the soul of The Rock and what we leave will be a shell of a man.”

Michael Cole “With all due respect. At Breakdown an agreement was pledge by yourself and yet neither man ended up with the title.”

The Undertaker advances at Cole looking pissed off. Cole steps back.

The Undertaker “Michael Cole I would watch your mouth and realise what stands in front of you.”

Taker takes a step back and looks into the camera as it zooms in.

The Undertaker “Rock. Tonight you come here with dreams of gold and glory. You come here to beat the reaper and the devil and become a savoir. But tonight the only thing you’ll be doing, is sacrificing you soul to the reaper, and your heart to the devil. Rest In Peace.”

Taker’s eye’s roll into the back of his head.

Jerry Lawler “I don’t envy The Rock tonight JR.”

D’lo Brown & Mark Henry Vs Owen Hart

The Nation’s music starts up and Mark Henry and D’lo appear from the back to some heat from the crowd.

Jim Ross “The two remaining members of The Nation take on former member Owen Hart in a handicap match.”

Jerry Lawler “Yeh JR. How smart is Owen though? I mean why would anyone ask to take on two men, particularly when those two men are D’lo and Mark Henry?”

Jim Ross “Owen Hart has something to prove King.”

Jerry Lawler “Well if it’s that he’s an idiot then he’s done it.”

D’lo starts to shake his head while walking down the ramp and both men enter the ring ready for action. “Well enough is enough and it’s time for a change!” Owen Hart’s music starts up and the crowd give a little cheer as Owen comes to the ring.

Jim Ross “Well here he is. Owen Hart!”

Jerry Lawler “Dead man walking JR. Dead man walking!”

Owen enters the ring and the referee keeps D’lo and Henry away as he taunts on the turnbuckle.

Jim Ross “D’lo going to start us off for The Nation.”

D’lo and Owen lock up in the middle and straight away D’lo nails Owen with a right hand. Owen backs himself up and lifts himself up on the ropes while D’lo starts to taunt him. Owen looks for another lock up and takes D’lo down with an armdrag and once again as D’lo gets back up. Owen bounces off the ropes and ducks a clothesline and rebounds with a spinning heel kick. D’lo gets up and shout at Henry to get Owen before tagging him in.

Jim Ross “Seems D’lo doesn’t want any of Owen.”

Jerry Lawler “It’s not that JR, why not use a man the size of Mark Henry when you can?”

Owen bounces off the ropes and jumps at Henry but he catches Owen and slams him before covering for a two count. Henry picks Owen up and starts to hammer away at him and backs him into the corner. Henry continues to pound away at Owen in the corner and then starts to choke him with his huge hands. The referee calls for the break and Owen is clearly gasping for air. Henry backs off and charges at Owen but Owen moves and Henry hits nothing but turnbuckle.

Jim Ross “This is Owen’s opportunity to ground the big man.”

Owen hammers away at Henry and throws him off the ropes before nailing a dropkick. Owen covers but Henry powers out. Henry charges at Owen but is taken down with a drop toehold and locks on to perform a leg lock. After applying some intense pressure Owen lets the hold go and starts to stomp away at the leg of Henry. Henry crawls to the ropes and the referee backs Owen off.

Jim Ross “Smart strategy to keep the big man grounded.”

Henry drags himself up clearly favouring one leg. Owen charges at Henry but Henry backdrops Owen over the ropes but he lands on the apron. Henry turns around and is poked in the eyes before Owen climbs the ropes. Hart nails a missile dropkick and covers but D’lo breaks the count with a kick to the back of the head. Henry uses this time to get to his feet and as Owen gets up he plants a stiff clothesline to take Owen down. Henry tags in D’lo and the freshman stomps away at Owen.

Jerry Lawler “You see JR! If this was a singles match Owen’s opponent wouldn’t be fresh but because of the situation he got himself into he is!”

D’lo picks Owen up and starts to hammer away at him. Owen reverses a whip and throws D’lo off the ropes but ducks his head too soon and D’lo delivers a DDT. D’lo covers for a near fall. D’lo starts to argue with the referee and as he turns around Owen rolls him into an inside cradle. D’lo barely escapes and knocks Owen straight back down with a clothesline. D’lo drops down and locks a chinlock onto Owen.

Jim Ross “D’lo slowing the pace here.”

Jerry Lawler “That’s good strategy JR. If the pace is fast then Owen has the advantage. This way D’lo gets a rest and keeps the pressure on Owen.”

Owen with the crowd behind him starts to get to his feet and elbows D’lo in the gut before throwing him off the ropes. Owen jumps onto D’lo’s shoulders looking for a hurricanarana but D’lo catches the legs and delivers a big sit down powerbomb. Owen barely escapes on 2! D’lo stomps away angrily at Owen and drops a few elbows before covering again for a 2. D’lo starts to get frustrated and shouts at the referee again.

Jerry Lawler “Don’t get frustrated D’lo! Owen hasn’t got much left just put him away with another powerbomb!”

D’lo picks up Owen and synchs him between his leg signalling for a running powerbomb much to King’s joy on commentary. D’lo gets Owen up but Owen slips down and nails D’lo in the gut before hitting a suplex. Both men need a tag and D’lo crawls over to tag Henry and Owen instinctively crawls to his corner.

Jim Ross “Owen has no one to tag King!”

Jerry Lawler “He’s an idiot! Haha!”

Jim Ross “I don’t think so King, it’s just instinctive.”

Owen gets to his corner realises he has no one tag and with a look of grimace gets up as D’lo tags in Henry. Henry charges at and nails a fatigued Owen in the corner with a huge splash. Owen drops to the floor and Henry drags him back up and slaps him in the corner. Henry pounds away at Owen who can no longer defend himself. Henry whips Owen to the opposing corner and charges but Owen manoeuvres around to trap Henry in a schoolboy and uses the ropes but the referee sees and stops the count.

Jerry Lawler “Did you see that JR? Did you see that? Owen Hart’s a cheat!”

Jim Ross “I have to believe Owen Hart is just trying to survive King.”

Both men get up and Henry distracts the referee and D’lo enters to nail Owen with a clothesline over the top and stomp away on the outside. D’lo throws Owen into the steel steps and then rolls him back into the ring. Henry runs off the ropes for a splash but Owen gets his knees up. Owen slowly gets up and climbs the ropes. Owen nails a dropkick and covers for a two count. Owen runs off the ropes and ducks a clothesline to nail a spinning heel kick and starts to taunt to an excited crowd.

Jim Ross “Owen Hart has a second wind King!”

    Jerry Lawler “AH!”

Henry gets up and Owen offers a leg before nailing an enziguiri. Owen covers and D’lo comes crashing in to break the cover but Owen sees it and moves so D’lo hits nothing but his own partner! Owen throws D’lo off the ropes and takes him over the top with a clothesline. Owen picks up Henry and jumps up on his shoulders to nail a hurricanarana! Owen looks for the Sharpshooter on Henry but Henry legs are too strong and he kicks Owen away D’lo tries to come into the ring with a chair and the referee stops him but with this distraction Owen nails a low blow to some cheers. Owen takes D’lo out with a baseball slide and the chair nails him in the face. Owen locks the Sharpshooter onto Henry in the middle of the ring.

    Jim Ross “Sharpshooter! Sharpshooter!”

Jerry Lawler “Oh no! Hold on Mark! D’lo where are you?”

Henry pushes himself up but the pain becomes unbearable as Hart synchs back up. Henry is screaming in agony. Henry taps out!

Jerry Lawler “Oh no! What is he doing?”

Jim Ross “Owen Hart has done it King. He beat two top superstars all by himself!”

Owen gets out the ring quickly as D’lo re enters with a chair and the referee raises Owen’s hand on the outside before Owen exits. D’lo looks at Henry withering in pain on the floor and looks disgusted. Henry struggles to his feet and D’lo shouts at him and Henry apologises. D’lo backs off looking satisfied with the apology before nailing Henry with a chair from nowhere to some pops!

Jim Ross “What the hell? D’lo just nailed his own partner!”

Jerry Lawler “Good, Henry just cost them a match and humiliated them by tapping out JR.”

Jim Ross “It was the Sharpshooter King! Many in our business have tapped out to it. It’s a deadly move, there’s no shame.”

Jerry Lawler “Mark Henry just gave up. No excuses JR.”

Jim Ross “And I suppose you’ve never tapped out to the Sharpshooter?”

Jerry Lawler “Shut up JR, that’s not the point.”

Jim Ross “Yes it is King!”

Jerry Lawler “A big win for Owen Hart here tonight!”

    Jim Ross “King!”

Jerry Lawler “ A big big win.”

Austin is seen walking backstage to a big pop. He knocks on a dressing room door and enters. Earl Hebner is on the other side.

Steve Austin “I need a word with you.”

Earl Hebner “Can it wait? I’m kinda busy.”

Earl goes to walk past Stone Cold but Stone Cold puts his arm out to stop him.

Steve Austin “No! It can’t wait!”

    Earl sighs before speaking.

Earl Hebner “What is it Steve?”

Steve Austin “You’re busy so I’ll get straight to the point. Tonight that son of a bitch McMahon’s gonna try and screw me in our match, it doesn’t take a rocket scientists to figure that out.”

Earl Hebner “Oh. Don’t worry Steve I’ll be on guard, don’t worry.”

    Austin begins to laugh.

Steve Austin “Well as reassuring as that is I actually am here for a different reason. I want you to promise me that tonight you won’t let Vince get himself DQed in order to stop me winning the title.”

Earl Hebner “I can’t promise that Steve, I don’t make the rules. You know that.”

Steve Austin “Let me put it a different way. If you DQ McMahon tonight and cost me the WWF title. I will open a can of whoop ass on your sorry ass!”

Austin stares with his snake eyes right into Hebner’s soul. Earl is clearly shaken.

Earl Hebner “F-f-fine. I promise that tonight Vince McMahon can’t be DQed.”

    Austin smiles

Steve Austin “I’m glad you see it that way.”

    Austin walks off.

Jim Ross “Austin negotiating with referee Earl Hebner to ensure McMahon can’t take the easy way out!”

Jerry Lawler “Negotiating? You call that negotiating?”

Jim Ross “Austin only wanted to make sure McMahon can’t weasel out of this one, that’s all King.”

Jerry Lawler “Well Earl better remember who pays his wages!”

Goldust Vs Val Venis w Terri Runnels

<A brief hype video is played highlighting the feud. It shows Dustin Runnels attacking Val over his moral values and Val showing the Preacher’s Wife. It then highlights Goldusts hype videos for his return after Val’s victory over Steve Blackman and Edge. Finally the beatdown of Goldust is shown with the final words from JR “Good God! These pair are sick!”>

“Hello Ladies!” Val Venis music starts and Val appears from the back with his customary towel and a scantly clad Terri in toe to some cheers for both. Val and Terri get into the ring where Val takes his towel off and puts it around Terri pulling her to him before they kiss. Val throws his towel into the crowd and warms up on the ropes as Terri exits the ring.

Jim Ross “These two make me sick!”

Jerry Lawler “Oh shut up JR!”

Goldust music starts and the lights go gold as Goldust appears from the back with wig and gown. The crowd give some cheers and Goldust takes his entrance attire off before staring a hole through Val.

Jim Ross “Val Venis is gonna find out that paybacks a bitch!”

Goldust slides into the ring and ducks a Venis clothesline and rebounds with a flying clothesline of his own right off the bat. Goldust picks up Val and throws him off the ropes before landing a clothesline. Goldust stomps away at Val before picking him back up and throwing him into the buckle. Goldust hammers away at Val with Terri screaming for him to stop. Val drops down and Goldust starts to choke him with his foot using the ropes as leverage. Goldust backs off at the order of the referee and when he returns to Val, is poked in the eye.

Jerry Lawler “Haha. Come on Val! Show him what a real man is now! Like you showed Terri!”

    Jim Ross “Would you stop?”

Val charges at Goldust but is caught in a sidewalk slam. Goldust covers for a near fall. Goldust starts to choke the life out of Val on the floor and only breaks when the referee forcefully gets involved. Goldust backs off looking pissed while the referee berates him. Goldust moves the referee aside and Val uses the opportunity to catch Goldust in a small package for a near fall. Both men get up and Val dodges a clothesline and nails Goldust with a back suplex.

Jim Ross “We may finally see some offence from Val now. So far Goldust has been so intense King.”

Jerry Lawler “Well if I was in the ring with a man who slept with my wife I think I would be too JR.”

Val picks up Goldust and hammers away at him with right hands. Goldust is thrown off the ropes and Val ducks his head to soon and Goldust nails a stiff kick to the head. Val uses the time to get to the corner and help himself up.

Jim Ross “Val is like a cornered animal here. He must be getting desperate.”

Goldust charges and nails a corner clothesline to Val before whipping him to the opposing corner Goldust nails another corner clothesline to drop Val to a seated position in the corner. Goldust starts to stomp away and finally once again chokes Val with his foot until the referee again forcefully breaks it up and threatens to disqualify Goldust. Val uses the time to recover and take the turnbuckle pad off, unbeknown to Goldust or the referee.

Jim Ross “What the hell is this? What is Val doing? I thought he was a big man but he can’t fight fair?”

Jerry Lawler “He is just looking to survive JR. Goldust is a maniac! Tell me this JR, why hasn’t he been disqualified yet?”

Jim Ross “I think the referee is being as liberal as possible considering the situation.”

Goldust finally escapes the referee attention and advances on Val. Val quick as a cat though drops Goldust face first into the exposed steel!

Jim Ross “Good god almighty! Goldust just went face first into the steel! And look at his bitch of a wife on the outside cheering!”

Jerry Lawler “You can’t say that JR!”

Jim Ross “The hell I can’t!”

    Jerry Lawler “Huh?”

Val picks up Goldust and places him in the corner and hammers away at the bleeding head. The referee looks bemused as to why the padding is off and tries to move Val out the way in order to place it back on. Val doesn’t move though and continues his assault until he whips Goldust to the opposing buckle and the referee uses this to place the turnbuckle pad back on. Using the fact that the referee has his back turned Val takes full advantage and brings Goldust out the corner to nail a low blow!

Jim Ross “What the hell! First you take a man’s wife and now you look to take his pride? Val Venis is one disgusting, foul son of a bitch!”

Jerry Lawler “Calm down JR. Besides I heard Goldusts equipment was minimal anyway. Haha”

Jim Ross “Oh will you stop? What possible enjoyment could you get out of this? A man being humiliated in front of the whole world by his slut of a wife and some porn star!”

Jerry Lawler “I don’t know if Val’s a porn star anymore JR.”

Val chokes Goldust on the floor until the count of four and picks him up and rams his head of the turnbuckle ten times to the count of the crowd who still love Val. Val takes Goldust out the corner with a suplex and then picks him up and throws him off the ropes to nail a spinebuster to a bloody Goldust. Val covers for a near fall. Val starts to get agitated and takes Goldust down with a scoop slam. Val goes to the top and bumps and grinds in motion for the Money Shot to the delight of the crowd. Val gets good air but nothing else as he hits the mat!

    Jerry Lawler “AH!”

Jim Ross “The risk didn’t pay off for Val.”

Goldust gets up with a sadistic look in his eye and throws Val off the ropes and levels him with a back elbow. Goldust runs off the ropes and nails an elbow drop. Goldust picks up Val and lifts him for a suplex before slamming him face first into the mat. Goldust covers for a near fall. Goldust goes to the outside and grabs a chair. Terri comes across and tries to reason with him but he brushes her aside and enters the ring. The referee tries to reason with Goldust but gets chased out the ring. Terri jumps into the ring and stands between Val and Goldust. The crowd are screaming for Goldust to nail Terri.

Jim Ross “Don’t do it Goldust! I know what you’re feeling but don’t do it! It’s not worth it!”

Jerry Lawler “I don’t think he’s gonna listen JR!”

Goldust drops the chair and Terri hugs Goldust in appreciation. Val is still laid out on the floor. Terri releases the hug and from nowhere nails Goldust with a low blow and it forces the referee to ring the bell for the DQ.

Jim Ross “Good god! What the hell is this?”

Jerry Lawler “Never trust a women JR. They always hit you where it hurts.”

Val gets to his feet and stomps away at Goldust on the floor. Val then grabs the chair and stares manically at Goldust on the floor. Goldust struggles to his feet and Val nails him with the chair causing him to bleed more profusely. Val drops the chair and looks at Terri who looks delighted with events. Both then kiss over Goldusts fallen body and the crowd love it.

Jim Ross “Could this couple be any more sick and twisted?”

Jerry Lawler “Oh JR. I wish I was Val.”

Action switches backstage and the crowd go nuts to see The Rock standing by for an interview.

Michael Cole “Rock tonight you take on The Undertaker and Kane, we’ve heard their thoughts. What are yours?”

The Rock “What are The Rock’s thoughts? The Rock says tonight two jabronis walk into the ring and get their sorry asses whipped when The Rock lays the Smackdown on both their candy asses!”

Michael Cole “How do you feel about the possibility of the brothers working together?”

The Rock “The Rock doesn’t give a damn if Kane and Undertaker want to hold each other hand! The Rock says Kane can have his little affair with Undertaker. Undertaker can have his way with Kane. The Rock says it doesn’t matter! All that matters is that when it’s all said and done and all the smoke has cleared, and all the people are through chanting The Rock’s name”

Rock pauses as the crowd can be heard chanting his name.

The Rock “Can you feel the electricity Cole? Can you feel it?”

    Michael Cole “Yeh, I………………..”

The Rock “Shut up! The only thing you feel is your boyfriends whistle!”

The crowd cheer for The Rock as the camera focus’s in on his face.

The Rock “Now The Rock says Kane and Undertaker can work together, it doesn’t matter. You can both fight each other and it doesn’t matter. You can both dance the Charleston in the middle of that damn ring and it doesn’t matter. No matter what you jabronis do it won’t make a difference to the end result. The end will see the People’s Champion standing tall with his hand raised high as your two candy asses stare at the ceiling. IF YA SMELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKING!”

Rock raises the eyebrow and the crowd go nuts.

Jim Ross “Rock is ready King.”

Jerry Lawler “He needs to be. I don’t think there’s a man alive who can survive a onslaught from the two brothers, not even The Rock.”

    No Disqualification Match

    Ken Shamrock Vs Mankind

<A hype video for the match is shown. It shows the ending to the match at Breakdown where Mankind nailed Shamrock with a chair and allowed Rock to pick up the win. It then shows both men beating each other down and their two opponents from past Raw too. It ends with JR’s words “This Sunday is going to be a war!”>

Jim Ross “This is going to be a war!”

Jerry Lawler “This is gonna be great JR! Two psychopaths who just want to beat the hell out of each other! But best of all JR, there’s no rules!”

Jim Ross Indeed, the match will only stop when one man is pinned or taps out. You can do anything to your opponent to make that possible.”

Jerry Lawler “And with these two, who knows what that means?”

Shamrock almost snaps on the fans but manages to keep his cool before standing on the ring steps and doing his usual warm up and entering the ring. Mankind’s music starts up and the crowd cheer as Mankind appears from the back with chair in hand.

Jim Ross “Mankind has already got some steel!”

Jerry Lawler “Haha. Here we go!”

Mankind runs to the ring and Shamrock stomps away at Mankind, which loosens his grip on the steel. Shamrock picks Mankind up and whips him off the ropes before nailing a side marital arts kick to the gut, which takes Mankind down. Shamrock hammers away at a recovering Mankind and whips him off the ropes again. Mankind ducks a clothesline and another before landing one of his own to big pop. The momentum takes both men down.

Jim Ross “ A fast paced, high impact beginning by both men here!”

Jerry Lawler “And they haven’t even got to the weapons yet JR!”

Mankind punches Shamrock and backs him into the buckle. High impact corner punches from Mankind, which clearly rock Shamrock. Mankind backs up and winds up his arm as the crowd cheer and charges but Shamrock moves and Mankind gets nothing but buckle. Shamrock hammers Mankind in the back of the head and bounces his head of the buckle. Shamrock drags Mankind to another corner and bounces his head of that buckle too. Shamrock hammers away at Mankind’s midsection leaving Mankind slumping to the floor.

Jim Ross “Good god look at the impact here!”

Jerry Lawler “This guys really hate each other JR!”

Shamrock hits some stiff knees to the face and starts to choke Mankind with his boot using the ropes for leverage. The referee tries to convince Shamrock to break the hold but has no authority and is ignored. Shamrock finally lets go leaving a gasping for air Mankind. Shamrock picks up Mankind and drags him to the centre of the ring. Shamrock nails him in the gut and runs off the ropes to hit spinning neckbreaker. Shamrock covers for a two count. Shamrock picks up Mankind who fights back with a knee to the gut. Mankind hammers away at Shamrock and backs him up to the ropes. Shamrock is clotheslined to the outside and lands on the floor! Mankind rolls to the outside and picks up Shamrock. He rams his head into the ring post and then punches him towards the crowd barrier. Mankind then lifts Shamrock up and drops him throat first into the security barrier! Mankind backs Shamrock up before throwing him into the barrier and choking him with his boot.

Jim Ross “There’s nothing scientific about Mankind’s offence.”

Mankind picks up Shamrock and slams him off the Spanish announce table again before taking the monitors off to the excitement of the crowd. Mankind rolls Shamrock onto the table and clubs him across the chest to keep him down. Mankind climbs to the top rope and jumps! But Shamrock rolls out the way and Mankind goes crashing through the table!

Jim Ross “Good god almighty! He’s broken in half! The man just went through the table! Good god!”

Both men are motionless for a few moments before Shamrock struggles to his feet. Shamrock pushes the referee to one side and picks up Mankind. He drags him across and bangs his head of the ring apron. Shamrock rolls Mankind into the ring and covers for a near fall. Shamrock picks up Mankind and throws him to the corner. Shamrock throws rights and lefts to the face of Mankind who can’t defend himself. Mankind is thrown off the ropes and Shamrock ducks his head. But too soon! Mankind hooks up and nails the Double Arm DDT! Both men are motionless again for a good few moments before both struggle to their feet. Shamrock throws a right hand but has it blocked. Mankind nails his own punch and backs Shamrock into the ropes. Shamrock is whipped off the ropes and Mankind nails a backbody drop. Shamrock gets up and is nailed back down with a clothesline. Shamrock once again recovers only to be knocked down with a clothesline.

Jim Ross “Mankind is building momentum here!”

Jerry Lawler “How can he still be moving JR? The man has flown through a table!”

Shamrock recovers and this time Mankind nails a DDT and covers for two. Mankind gets a sick look on his face and goes outside and under the ring. He pulls out a shovel and holds it up to the cheering crowd. Mankind places the shovel inside the ring as Shamrock recovers to his hands and knees. Mankind stomps on the end of the shovel dangling outside the ring and Shamrock is nailed in the midsection! Mankind reaches in and grabs Shamrock by the hair and drags him to the ring apron. He places him under the bottom rope and nails him with vicious elbows to the throat. Mankind drags Shamrock out of the ring and throws him up the rampway. He throws him into the crowd barrier before punching him all the way up the ramp.

Jerry Lawler “Where is Mankind taking him JR?”

Jim Ross “Who knows? I don’t even think Mankind knows.”

Mankind looks for a piledriver on the rampway but Shamrock blocks and counters with a backbody drop! Shamrock picks Mankind up and throws him into the crowd barrier. He helps Mankind up only to ram his head of the barrier and throw him back down on the rampway. Shamrock lays a few boots into Mankind before dragging him back towards the ring in a headlock. Mankind manages to loosen the grip though and throws Shamrock into the apron gut first. Mankind then traps Shamrock and nails a sidewalk slam on the thin crash mats. Mankind climbs the turnbuckle again and nails an elbow across the throat of Shamrock to some cheers!

Jim Ross “Good god! This men are intent on destroying each other!”

Jerry Lawler “But JR, it’s not just his opponent Mankind is prepared to hurt but himself too!”

Mankind struggles up and picks up a worse for wear Shamrock. Mankind throws Shamrock into the ring and starts to drop some elbows. Mankind then pulls out Mr Socko to a good pop! Mankind slips on the sock and Shamrock recovers and turns around to eat a mouthful of sweaty, disgusting sock! Shamrock manages to break the hold though with a knee to the midsection. Shamrock throws Mankind off the ropes and nails a Hurricanarana! Shamrock quickly covers for a near fall. Shamrock starts to get frustrated and argues with the referee. Shamrock lamps the referee out and goes to the outside. Shamrock grabs a chair and re-enters the ring. Mankind slowly recovers and Shamrock waits patiently. Mankind turns around and before Shamrock can react Mankind kicks him square in the balls! Shamrock drops and loosens his grip on the chair. Mankind picks up the chair and gets a sick look in his eyes. Mankind lays the chair across Shamrock and slowly climbs to the top rope. Mankind drops a big elbow drop onto the chair, crushing Shamrock and hurting himself as the crowd go nuts!

Jim Ross “Is there nothing Mankind won’t do in order to hurt his opponent? Does he have no regard for his own health?”

Jerry Lawler “You know that he doesn’t JR. He’s crazy but that’s why these fans love him.”

Mankind finally recovers and lays a hand over a beaten Shamrock but there’s no referee! Mankind slowly gets up and approaches the referee and goes outside to the still recovering referee. Mankind throws him into the ring and re-enters himself. Shamrock has recovered and Mankind turns his attention back to his opponent. Mankind nails Shamrock with a right hand and whips him to the buckle. Mankind follows up but misses a splash on Shamrock in the corner! Shamrock screams.

Jerry Lawler “I think he’s snapped JR!”

Shamrock starts to hammer away merciless at Mankind with right hands and knees to the gut. Shamrock brings Mankind out of the corner and throws him off the ropes before nailing a dropkick. Shamrock picks up and whips Mankind again before nailing a marital arts sidekick this time. Shamrock then goes outside for a new chair and re-enters. However Mankind has unbeknown to Shamrock, grabbed the chair still in the ring! Shamrock stalks Mankind who suddenly spins around and nails Shamrock’s chair back into Shamrock’s face! Mankind slowly gets a cover and the referee seems to take an age to position himself and count. One, two thre-NO! Shamrock kicks out at the last possible second to the disbelief of the crowd.

Jim Ross “I don’t believe it! I don’t believe it! Shamrock kicked out!”

Jerry Lawler “Well that was possibly the slowest count in the history of slow counts but it’s still impressive to even be breathing following that sick chair shot.”

Mankind picks up a busted open Shamrock and both men are extremely groggy. Mankind hits some weak punches and Shamrock counters with weak punches of his own. Both men trade blows until Shamrock goes downstairs with a knee to the gut. Shamrock throws Mankind off the ropes and nails a belly-to-belly suplex. Shamrock hooks the leg but Mankind kicks out. Shamrock locks in a front face lock.

Jim Ross “Shamrock is looking to drive the air out of his opponent while getting some air to his own lungs.”

After a bit, Mankind struggles to his feet. Shamrock still has the front face lock locked in. Mankind lifts Shamrock up and throws him across the ring to break the hold. Shamrock gets to his feet and Mankind nails him with a clothesline. Mankind whips Shamrock off the ropes and drop toehold’s him on the middle rope. Mankind goes to the outside and uses the ring bell to clock Shamrock. Shamrock rolls across the ring and falls to the outside. Mankind walks across to Shamrock and starts to stomp away at him. Mankind throws Shamrock into the steel steps. He then grabs the steps and waits for a groggy Shamrock to get to his feet. As Shamrock gets up he is clocked with the stairs. Shamrock is bleeding profusely now.

Jim Ross “Look at Shamrock! He’s lost all kinds of blood!”

Jerry Lawler “But he’s still going JR!”

Mankind picks up Shamrock and throws him into the ring. Mankind has the shovel and enters the ring. Shamrock is somehow on his feet. Mankind measures Shamrock and swings but Shamrock ducks and takes down Mankind with a drop toehold and Mankind’s head hits the shovel. Both men are again motionless and Mankind is now busted open too.

Jim Ross “My God! This has been a war!”

Jerry Lawler “Neither man will quit JR!”

Shamrock gets to his feet first and starts to hammer away at Mankind. Shamrock nails Mankind in the midsection and throws him shoulder first into the ring post. Shamrock brings Mankind out of the corner and hooks him up for a suplex. Mankind blocks though and nails one of his own! Mankind struggles up and goes to the outside. Mankind goes under the ring and picks out a two-by-four covered in barbed wire! The crowd go nuts as Mankind gets a sick smile on his face.

Jerry Lawler “Ah, where did that come from?”

Jim Ross “No! Think about this Mick! Think bout it!”

Mankind enters the ring and awaits Shamrock’s recovery. Shamrock gets up and clotheslines Mankind down before he can use to two-by-four. Shamrock picks up Mankind and nails his head off the turnbuckle. Shamrock takes Mankind out of the corner but he fights back with a knee to the gut. Mankind looks at the two-by-four and stand over it with Shamrock in-between his legs. The crowd are going crazy in anticipation.

Jim Ross “No! Don’t do it!”

Mankind gets Shamrock up half way but Shamrock blocks and backbody drops Mankind. Mankind recovers quickly and walks towards Shamrock who nails him in the gut and hits a DDT onto the barbed wire two-by-four! Shamrock covers. One. Two. Three! Shamrock wins!

Jim Ross “Good god it’s over! Look at the blood, look at the carnage. Neither man can stand! Good god what a war!”

Jerry Lawler “That is one of the most brutal matches I have ever seen JR. Neither man would quit, neither man give in. But Mankind had no choice. There’s not a man alive who take a DDT onto barbed wire JR.”

Jim Ross “I totally agree King. Mankind has nothing to be ashamed of. This two men gave us their all here tonight. And love him or hate him Shamrock deserves all the credit in the world for lasting this titanic battle!”

Shamrock is shown walking to the back, barely and E.M.T’s come out to help Mankind. They look to put Mankind onto a stretcher but he refuses they help and limps off to a standing ovation.

The cameras settle onto JR and The King.

Jim Ross “Well that was on hell of a match but the next one should be an even bigger slobberknocker King.”

Jerry Lawler “Right. Kane and The Undertaker will make the beating Mankind took look like TLC JR.”

Jim Ross “Well regardless of their plans, only one man can win the match and become number one contender.”

Jerry Lawler “But it’s ok JR. They really do have it sorted out this time, unlike Breakdown.”

Jim Ross “Well that remains to be seen. But first lets take a quick look at how this match came together.”

Triple Threat Number One Contenders Match

Kane Vs The Rock Vs The Undertaker

<A hype video plays. It shows Rock winning the Triple Threat Match at Breakdown to become number one contender. It also shows both Kane and Undertaker pinning Austin in their Title match. Jim Ross “Listen to this ovation!”

    Jerry Lawler “It’s deafening JR!”

Rock appears on the rampway and the crowd go nuts again. Rock walks cockily and confidently to the ring. Rock looks at the daunting opponents in the ring who are starting a hole through him. Rock starts to mouth off at both and runs into the ring and both brothers approach.

    Jerry Lawler “Here we go!”

Rock ducks a double swipe from the brothers and bounces off the ropes to rebound with a double clothesline to a huge pop. Kane is clotheslined to the outside and Rock unloads with right hand slaps on Taker that leave him perched on the ropes. One last slap takes Taker over and The Rock energetically taunts both men as t he crowd go nuts.

Jim Ross “Things are going to plan for the brothers!”

Jerry Lawler “It’s alright, they just need to regroup.”

Both brothers re-enter the ring and corner The Rock. The Rock tries to fight both men with right hands but is overpowered and leathered with rights hands by both brothers. Kane has Rock in the corner and chokes him. Kane drags Rock out and both men hammer away at Rock. Rock is thrown off the ropes and nailed with a double clothesline. Kane starts to choke Rock on the floor while Taker stomps away at the midsection.

Jerry Lawler “This could be a long match for The Rock.”

Rock kicks both in the head and throws Kane to the buckle. Rock opens up on Taker with right hands. Rock runs off the ropes and takes Taker down with a clothesline. Rock turns his attention to Kane who hits him with a right hand. Kane turns Rock around but Rock lays into him with fast slap punches. Rock throws Kane into the centre where he just about stops before taking out Taker. Rock charges behind Kane and clubs him forcing Kane to take out Taker.

    Jerry Lawler “Oh no!”

Rock picks up Kane and throws him outside before stomping away at Taker. Rock picks up Taker and throws him off the ropes before nailing a Samoan Drop. Rock covers for a two count. Taker gets to his feet and Rock continues a barrage of right hands. Rock throws Taker off the ropes but Taker rebounds with a flying lariat and a cover for two. Taker picks up Rock and nails him in the gut with a knee. Taker throws him into the buckle and hammers away at him. Kane has now re-entered the ring and wants a piece. Kane brushes Taker aside and hammers away at Rock much to Taker’s annoyance. Taker then brushes Kane aside and starts to hammer away and Kane grabs Taker and looks at him with his dead eyes. Jim Ross “Welcome everybody to Raw! And it seems we have a new match for Judgement Day!”

Jerry Lawler “Yeh. Maybe Edge can find out what his “brother” is doing here.”

Jim Ross “Also tonight King, Triple H takes on Jeff Jarrett!”

Jerry Lawler “Yeh, X Pac better keep his nose out if he knows what’s good for him!”

Southern Justice (Dennis Knight & Mark Canterbury) Vs The Headbangers (Mosh & Thrasher)

Southern Justice squash. Beforehand Jim Ross mentions they will challenge for the Tag Title’s at Judgement Day Dennis Knight picks up the win to give good momentum going into Sunday.

    Commercial Break

    Ken Shamrock Vs Steven Regal

The match starts off with Shamrock nailing Regal with a knee to the gut. Shamrock keeps control with fast paced technical offence. Regal regains some momentum with a neckbreaker and keeps control until Shamrock snaps and nails a belly-to-belly and locks on the Ankle Lock! Regal taps but an intense Shamrock refuses to release the hold. After various attempts the referee calls for the bell and DQ’s Shamrock. Shamrock releases the hold and corners a petrified referee. Shamrock nails the referee with a belly-to-belly and then locks an Ankle Lock on him! The referee passes out from the pain and Shamrock finally releases the hold screaming in frustration.

Jim Ross “What in the hell has got into Shamrock?”

Jerry Lawler “Nothing JR! I’d say he’s in perfect shape for his match with

Mankind this Sunday. Remember JR, at Judgement Day there will be no disqualifications!”

    Commercial Break

As we come back to Raw Vince McMahon is in his office talking to Commissioner Sergeant Slaughter.

Vince McMahon “What am I going to do? Austin’s a maniac and at Judgement Day I’m locked into a match with him!”

Sergeant Slaughter “There’s no way out of the match?”

    McMahon gets agitated

Vince McMahon “Damn it! Don’t you listen? I’m locked into the match! I’m the champion and Austin has reactivated his rematch clause. I’m screwed!”

Sergeant Slaughter “Then what if Austin couldn’t make it to Judgement Day?”

Vince McMahon “What are you getting at?”

Sergeant Slaughter “Tonight “Stone Cold” Steve Austin takes on the WWF Tag Team Champions in a handicap match!”

    McMahon beings to smile.

Vince McMahon “And Austin Vs The New Age Outlaws is only the start! Tonight I guaran-damn-tee that “Stone Cold” will not reach Illinois!”

    McMahon and Slaughter laugh.

Jim Ross “What in the hell does McMahon have in store for “Stone Cold”? Is a handicap match not enough for this man?”

Jerry Lawler “It’s all apart of his master plan JR!”

    Mankind Vs Steve Blackman

Mankind takes control with a clothesline and starts to bump and grind Blackman to oblivion. Blackman hits back with a spinning heel kick and locks Mankind into a front face lock. Mankind escapes and throws Blackman off the ropes before nailing him with a knee to the gut. Mankind goes outside and grabs a chair. The referee pleads with Mankind but he still nails Blackman with the chair. The ref calls for the bell and runs out the ring when Mankind turns his attention to him. Mankind continues to assault Blackman with the chair.

Jim Ross “First Shamrock and now Mankind! This Sunday is going to be a war!”

    Mankind grabs a microphone.

Mankind “Kenny boy. Kenny. Uncle Mankind saw what you did earlier to a poor defenceless man. And I, I loved it! I want you to bring that this Sunday Kenny boy! I want to see my own blood; I want to hear my own screams. I want you to look into my eyes and see my joy as you crash that chair over my head! I want to feel your rage as you pound away at me again and again and again! I want you to give me everything you have and see if it’s enough to beat me! I don’t care about winning or losing, I just want to feel, and inflict, pain!”

Mankind drops the microphone and manically walks to the back.

Jerry Lawler “Don’t worry Mankind you idiot! Shamrock will make you feel pain, I can promise you that!”

    Commercial Break

As we come back to Raw Terri Runnels is making her way down to the ring wearing very skin generous clothing to the delight of the male crowd.

    Jerry Lawler “Puppies! Puppies JR!”

Jim Ross “Would you calm down King?”

    Jerry Lawler “But JR! Puppies!”

Terri continues to the ring and enters under the bottom rope.

Terri Runnels “I’ve come out here for one reason. Dustin. You and me have some issues to sort out. I think everybody would agree that our marriage is in trouble and Dustin I want to sort it out. So baby would you please come out?”

Goldusts music hits and Dustin Runnels appears from the back in full Goldust attire to some cheers. He walks to the ring in a golden haze and takes his wig and robe off before entering the ring. Goldust grabs a microphone.

Goldust “So you want to sort things out? After sleeping with another man and making a fool out of me you want to sort things out? I don’t want anything to do with a common gutter slut like you!”

The crowd cheer this statement as Terri gets pissed off.

Terri Runnels “Oh and I suppose you’re perfect? I suppose you’re blameless? Where were you when your wife and kid needed you last year? When I needed my husband and you daughter needed her daddy? Where were you?”

Goldust starts to come around when from nowhere Val Venis attacks. Val boots Goldust on the floor and drops some elbows. Val throws Goldust off the ropes and nails a spinebuster.

Terri Runnels “Screw you Dustin! Screw you!”

Val Venis “No Terri. More like, screw you.”

Val and Terri start to make out in the ring as Goldust lies on the floor recovering.

Jim Ross “Good God! These pair are sick!”

Jerry Lawler “Oh, I wish I was Val!”

    Commercial Break

Jim Ross “Well this Sunday King it’s every man for themselves.”

    Jerry Lawler “Yeh right.”

“Do you smell what The Rock is cooking?” The Rock’s music hits and Kane and Taker look to the entranceway as the crowd cheer. Rock outsmarts them when he comes through the crowd to their delight. Rock nails both men with a chair and continues to hammer away at both on the floor. Rock backs up and as Taker struggles up knocks him down with a running chairshot. Jerry Lawler “Ah!”

Jim Ross “The Rock just sent a message King and that message was that he is gonna become number one contender this Sunday!”

Rock leaves but turns around to see first Undertaker and then Kane sit up and looks a bit shocked.

Jerry Lawler “Haha. Nothing can keep the brothers down JR! This Sunday Rock is history!”

We are taken to the back and Kevin Kelly is with Owen Hart.

Kevin Kelly “Owen this Sunday you challenged D’lo Brown and Mark Henry to a handicap match. What everybody wants to know is, why? Why would anybody in their right mind request a match of this type?”

Owen Hart “Why? Why? Let me explain something to you. All my life I’ve been a lackey, a shadow, second best. When I first got into the business it was to my brother. While I sat back and did my thing he was out there winning WWF Title’s and having everybody talk about him. Then after he left people still talked about him until finally a joined The Nation but then, but then it was always The Rock this and D’lo this and Mark Henry this. Nobody cared about Owen Hart. Road Dogg “Look Bad Ass and I want you to know we’re not cool with this whole handicap thing man. We respect you Austin and thing this is whack but need you to understand that tonight, we’re still gonna kick your ass.”

The crowd anticipate a bad response from Austin.

Steve Austin “And you boys need to understand I don’t give a flying shit what you have to say.”

Billy Gunn “You should watch your mouth considering your situation.”

Steve Austin “You guys may be loved by the fans but that won’t stop Stone Cold beating the living heel outta you boys. So why don’t you do yourselves a favour and get the hell outta my sight!”

Austin walks off as Road Dogg keeps Gunn back.

Jerry Lawler “Austin needs to learn that allies are useful JR.”

Just a squash match for both Nation members here. Matt and Jeff do get some offence in with a hot tag and Jeff taking both men down with right hands. Matt and Jeff whip Henry off the ropes but he rebounds with a double clothesline and follows up with a big splash on Jeff for the win. D’lo and Henry celebrate in the ring until Owen Hart interrupts on the stage.

Owen Hart “Hey, hey. Cut the music!”

Henry and D’lo look at Owen with some contempt.

Owen Hart “You wondering why I’m out here? Well let me tell you why. I’m here to lay down a challenge. A challenge for Judgement Day. Owen Hart Vs D’lo Brown and Mark Henry in a handicap match!”

D’lo and Henry look somewhat bemused but shout to Owen he’s on and nod their heads.

Owen Hart “Oh don’t be too confused! This is a new chapter in Owen Hart’s book. You see I’m sick of playing second best! Whether it be to my brother or to you! I’m sick of being in somebody’s shadow! So at Judgement Day I assert my independence!”

Owen throws the microphone down to the cheers of some of the crowd.

Jim Ross “Owen Hart gets his match King but how wise it is, I don’t know.”

Jerry Lawler “Right. Why in the hell would anybody want to face both D’lo and Mark Henry in a handicap match?”

    Commercial Break

“No Chance that’s what ‘cha got” Vince McMahon’s music hits the arena as we come back to Raw and the capacity crowd let the world know their contempt for the owner of the WWF.

Jim Ross “Well here comes Mr McMahon.”

    Jerry Lawler “Stand up JR!”

Jim Ross “Yeh, just give me a minute there King.”

A pissed off McMahon appears from the back to the disgust of the crowd and he has the WWF Title in his grasp. McMahon powerwalks to the ring before entering and being handed a microphone.

Vince McMahon “Just who in the hell do you think you are Rock!”

The crowd continue to give McMahon hell.

Vince McMahon “Who do you think you are to lay your hands on Vincent Kennedy McMahon? Who the hell do you think you are to Rock Bottom me in the middle of this ring………………………………..”

The cheers of the crowd interrupt McMahon.

Vince McMahon “Oh you people like that don’t ya? Well Rock acts such as yours cannot go unpunished. You will learn that you don’t cross the boss and you sure as hell don’t lay your hands on a McMahon dammit!”

The crowd start to chant for Rock.

Vince McMahon “Now onto business! I have a vacant World Title and that means I don’t have a champion. Now that isn’t good for business. I also have a number one contender whose contendership is in question.”

McMahon pauses, as JR sounds somewhat bemused on commentary.

Vince McMahon “You see it’s true that The Rock did win a number one contender’s match at Breakdown against Mankind and Shamrock. However the circumstances in which he won that match are somewhat suspect. You see Rock pinned Shamrock after Mankind had hit the decisive blow and was climbing over the top and to me this just doesn’t seem right. Now we all know I’m a very fair man and therefore, therefore in the interest of fairness I have set up a new match at Judgement Day. At Judgement Day it will be The Rock Vs Kane Vs The Undertaker in a triple threat match to determine a new number one contender!”

The crowd boo as McMahon smiles.

Vince McMahon “Now onto my other order of business. That of naming a new champion. You see I have decided to award the title to somebody who truly deserves it. A top athlete in this business and a beer drinking, finger gesturing son of a bitch!”

The crowd go nuts in anticipation of Stone Cold’s name.

Vince McMahon “That’s right. Our new WWF Champion “Stone Cold” Vince McMahon!”

The crowd boo loudly as McMahon starts to motion for some beers. He is thrown some but he drops them and has to pick them up from the canvas. McMahon climbs the turnbuckle and toasts the crowd who are giving real heat. McMahon drops the beers and gives the finger to the crowd before posing some more and holding the Title above his head.

Jim Ross “What the hell! Is Vince McMahon crazy?”

Jerry Lawler “That’s our new WWF Champion JR!”

    Jim Ross “You’re buying this?”

Jerry Lawler “McMahon pays my wages JR, as far as I’m concerned he can call himself Jesus.”

Jim Ross “Would you grow a spine!”

    Jerry Lawler “Huh?”

    Commercial Break

Al Snow w Head Vs Ken Shamrock

Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler mention that Shamrock will face Mankind in a No DQ match at Judgement Day. Both men lock up and Shamrock takes Al Snow down with a side headlock takedown. Shamrock keeps on top with high intensity technical moves and keeps on top until Al Snow blocks a hurricanarana attempt and nails a powerbomb for a near fall. Al traps Shamrock and begins to headbutt him before hitting a trapping suplex and pins for a near fall. Shamrock regains control with a dropkick and snaps before locking in the Anklelock! Snow screams in pain until Mankind comes rushing down and nails Shamrock with a chair to the delight of the crowd. Shamrock picks up the DQ win but Mankind continues his assault with the chair to a fallen Shamrock. Mankind stands over a fallen Shamrock chair aloft to the delight of the crowd.

Jerry Lawler “Mankind is a nut! He should be locked away!”

Jim Ross “Mankind getting some payback for last week!”

Jerry Lawler “I still say he should be locked up.”

We are taken backstage and Michael Cole standing by with The Rock.

Michael Cole “Rock, earlier on we heard that you would be facing………………..”

The Rock “NANANANA! The Rock heard what was said earlier! Do you think The Rock is deaf?”

    Michael Cole “No I…………………………”

The Rock “Shut your skinny as up!”

The crowd go nuts as Rock grabs the microphone from Cole.

The Rock “Now The Rock heard you McMahon. The Rock heard you talking smack to The Rock, saying The Rock didn’t win fair, saying The Rock wasn’t the number one contender. The Rock saw the little match you made at Judgement Day and The Rock saw you give yourself the WWF Title. Well The Rock says you can throw two more jabronis in my way and it doesn’t matter. The Rock says you can give yourself the title and it doesn’t matter. The Rock says he’s won a triple threat before and goddamn it he’ll win a triple threat again for the millions (AND MILLIONS) of The Rock’s fans and The Rock says you can throw whatever obstacle in his path. The Rock says you can summon the great ghost of Cesar and it won’t stop him because The Rock is, and will forever be the People’s Champ!”

    The crowd cheer.

The Rock “If ya smellllllllllllllllllll what The Rock is cocking!”

Rock raises he’s eyebrow and the crowd go nuts.

Jim Ross “Rock ultra confident as ever.”

Jerry Lawler “Well we’ll see how confident The Rock is at Judgement Day when he takes on Kane and The Undertaker!”

    Commercial Break

Edge Vs Val Venis w Terri Runnels

Two fan favourites tangle and contest a back and forth contest. Edge gains early control with a dropkick and highflying offence. Val comes back with a knee to the gut and fights back with some brawling offence. Edge comes off the ropes and nails a spear but Terri jumps on the apron and dances seductively to distract the referee. Edge goes over but Val rolls him up for a near fall. Edge regains control with a hip toss and dropkick before climbing to the top. Edge nails a missile dropkick but the same mysterious figure from Breakdown appears on the outside and Edge looks bemused. Edge starts to shout at the figure and Val takes advantage with a roll up and the three. The mysterious figure disappears and Edge goes through the crowd in pursuit. Terri enters the ring and both her and Val start to swap spit in the middle of the ring. Suddenly Val’s music stops and a voice is heard. “Judgement Day, Val Venis will repent for his sins.” Val and Terri look shell shocked in the middle of the ring.

Jim Ross “What the hell, I guess this means at Judgement Day it will be Val Venis Vs Dustin Runnels?”

    Jerry Lawler “Or Goldust JR?”

The action switches to the back and Undertaker and Kane to a mixed reaction from the crowd.

The Undertaker “McMahon thinks he can screw with us. McMahon thinks he use as pawns in his game of chess.”

    Kane just looks at Undertaker.

The Undertaker “We will play McMahon’s game for now. We will be his pawns for as long as is needed. But when the time comes McMahon will face his Judgement Day and we will extract our bloody revenge.”

Kane starts to look more intense.

The Undertaker “Stone Cold fell to us. Rock will fall to us. And McMahon will be out final target. We will fulfil our destiny and take what is rightfully ours.”

Kane just stares at Undertaker as the crowd seem somewhat excited by Taker’s words.

Jerry Lawler “Is it a full moon JR?”

Jim Ross “I don’t know King but tonight is just getting weirder the longer it goes on!”

    Commercial Break

Jeff Jarrett & Southern Justice (Dennis Knight & Mark Canterbury) Vs The New Age Outlaws (“Bad Ass” Billy Gunn & Road Dogg) & Triple H w Chyna

Before the match we are informed X Pac will make his return at Judgement day when he defends his European Title against Jeff Jarrett. Road Dogg does he’s usual DX thing with Gunn beforehand. Dogg and Jarrett start off and Dogg takes control with a clothesline. Dogg tags in Gunn and they hit a double clothesline. Gunn keeps control with some brawling until Knight kicks Gunn in the kidneys illegally and Jarrett makes the tag. Jarrett and Justice keep control with triple and double team offence much to the frustration of DX and the crowd. Gunn does hit a clothesline to make a tag but illegal tactics distract the referee and Road Dogg is forced back out. Jarrett has Gunn in a sleeper and the crowd along with DX will him on. Gunn escapes and gets thrown off the ropes but Jarrett catches him in a another sleeper but Gunn escapes with a back body drop and makes the hot tag to Triple H. Triple H runs through all three opponents and has the upper hand. Southern Justice finally regroup and along with Jarrett flood the ring. DX in turn flood the ring and the referee cannot regain control as the match turns into a brawl. He has no choice and throws the match out. Jarrett hits a low blow and Dogg rolls to the outside, which allows him and Justice to gain the upper hand. DX are getting beat down to the boo’s of the crowd

Jerry Lawler “Haha DX are having their clocked cleaned! This is great!”

Suddenly X Pac comes running down to the ring to the delight of the crowd.

Jim Ross “X Pac is here! X Pac is back for some retribution!”

    Jerry Lawler “This isn’t fair!”

X Pac gives DX the edge and Jeff Jarrett and Southern Justice flea the ring to the delight of the crowd as X Pac tells Jarrett to “Suck It!” to the delight of the crowd.

    Commercial Break

Kane & The Undertaker Vs “Stone Cold” Steve Austin & The Rock

Rock and Austin get crazy pops from the crowd and Kane and Taker seem to get more cheers than boo’s too. Rock and Kane start off and Rock keeps the upper hand with his speed and knocks Kane over the top with his punches but Kane lands on his feet. Kane finally gains the upper hand with a big boot and starts to dominate Rock with raw power. Kane tags in Taker who controls Rock with more power offence. Rock is double teamed by Kane and Taker consistently and looks to be dead on his feet until he explodes with a double clothesline. Rock makes the hot tag to Austin who takes down Kane and Taker with right hands. Austin keeps control of both men and Rock recovers to take Kane to the outside and leave the legal men in the ring. Taker regains control with a big boot and Rock throws Kane into the steel steps. Rock enters the ring and attacks Taker from behind but Taker takes him down with an uppercut. Taker turns around and gets nailed with a stunner from nowhere! Austin covers and gets the three.

Jim Ross “Good god Austin did it! Rock did it! They beat the monsters!”

Jerry Lawler “How in the hell did that happen? Where was Kane when his brother needed him?”

Kane re-enters the ring and takes down Austin with a throat thrust. Rock turns around to be booted by Kane and Taker recovers. Both men stomp away at Austin and Rock, then Vince McMahon comes running from the back to the disgust of the crowd and holding the WWF Title.

Jim Ross “What the hell is this? The match is over!”

Jerry Lawler “Keep your hat on JR. This is just payback.”

Jim Ross “Payback for what King? Winning a damn wrestling match fair and square?”

Jerry Lawler “Fair JR? Did you not see the blatant illegal double team tactics?”

Jim Ross “What in the hell planet are you on?”

Jerry Lawler “A better planet than Austin and Rock are right now. Haha.”

Kane and Taker hold up Austin and McMahon starts to slap him. McMahon screams at Austin and holds the title in his face screaming “you don’t have it anymore!” Suddenly Rock re-enters the ring with a chair! Rock takes out Kane from behind knocking him to his knees. Taker gets one right across the head and Kane gets back up to take one to the head too! McMahon backs off and pleads with Rock. Rock smiles and drops the chair as he sees Austin behind McMahon and the crowd going nuts. McMahon looks relieved and turns around and gets the finger from Austin who then Stunners him to a crazy pop. Kane and Taker recover on the outside and Kane goes to enter, as Austin and Rock get ready but Taker motions Kane to the back and both men leave. Austin motions for a microphone and is handed one.

Steve Austin “So you’re the new champion? Well that’s just fine because at Judgement Day I’m activating my rematch clause you son of a bitch!”

Austin signals for some beers from and is thrown some. He throws some to Rock and both men toast in the middle of the ring before toasting the crowd.

Jim Ross “Good god! It’s gonna be Austin Vs McMahon at Judgement Day! The rattlesnake will finally get his hands on that no good son of a bitch!”

Jerry Lawler “This is terrible JR! Mr McMahon needs another master plan!”

Jim Ross “Austin’s going for gold against McMahon at Judgement Day! Good night everybody!”

    WWF Raw Is War

    Live September 28th 1998

Joe Louis Arena – Detroit, Michigan

As Raw hits the air a recap of last nights main event at Breakdown between Kane, Undertaker and Steve Austin is shown. The pictures end with Vince McMahon giving the middle finger to Austin while holding the WWF Title out of a speeding off limo. The Raw opening video plays through before we are taken through a pyrotechnic display. We are then shown various signs in the crowd before we taken to our announce team, Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler.

Jim Ross “Welcome everybody to Raw is War!”

Jerry Lawler “JR, Austin is no longer WWF Champion! Haha!”

Jim Ross “What happened last night was absolutely disgusting and Vince McMahon should…………………………..”

“No Chance that’s what ‘cha got” Ross is interrupted by Vince McMahon’s new theme music. The WWF owner appears from the back to huge boo’s but crucially clutching onto the WWF Title and boasting an ear-to-ear grin.

Jerry Lawler “Watch what you say now Ross!”

Jim Ross “Speak of the devil and he shall come.”

    Jerry Lawler “Hey!”

McMahon power walks to the ring before entering through the ropes and being handed a microphone. The boo’s finally die down and McMahon raises the WWF Title in one hand and a microphone to this mouth with the other.

Vince McMahon “Screw you Austin, it’s mine!”

The crowd give a psyched up McMahon hell.

Vince McMahon “Screw you Austin! You refused to play the game. You refused to do business! You thought you could screw Vince McMahon and look where it got you Austin. It got you on the end of an ass whooping by two monsters and it left you without the WWF Championship!”

The crowd boo and start to chant “Austin”. McMahon starts to calm down.

Vince McMahon “You people can chant his name all you want. You people can do what ever the hell you want! It doesn’t matter if you chant for Stone Cold, it doesn’t matter if you wish really hard. You can get down on your knees and pray to God almighty and it wouldn’t matter! Steve Austin will not get this Title ever again and that’s a guaran-damn-tee!”

The crowd continue to boo as McMahon regains his composure again.

Vince McMahon “You see Austin. You could of done it the easy way. You could have been a successful champion. You could still of been champion! All you had to do was do business. I offered you opportunities to do negotiate and I lay out that provable olive branch Austin. But what did you do? You hit me with a Stone Cold Stunner!”

The crowd go nuts at this, as McMahon looks sick before regaining his composure.

Vince McMahon “And why Austin? Why? Was it for the support of these idiots? (The crowd boo.) Was it because you wanted to be that badass rebel that nobody could tame? Was it because you wanted to stamp your authority over Vince McMahon? Well it doesn’t matter now Austin! You didn’t stamp your authority over anyone and sure as hell got tamed. These fans may still love you. (The crowd cheer.) But what does that give you Austin? Nothing! And what do I have? I have the WWF Title!”

Asshole chants start up and McMahon waits for them to die down.

Vince McMahon “Chant whatever the hell you want! I don’t care. Because Steve Austin is no longer the WWF Champion and as long as I’m owner of this company, hell as long as I’m alive, he will never get another Title Shot! And that’s a McMahon guaran-damn-………………………………………..”

Out of nowhere and cutting McMahon off mid sentence Steve Austin’s music starts up and the crowd go nuts as McMahon looks like he wants to do a runner!

Jim Ross “It’s the rattlesnake! The rattlesnake is here! Good god the rattlesnake is here!”

    Jerry Lawler “Oh no!”

Austin appears from the back looking very pissed off and doesn’t take his eye’s off McMahon as he enters the ring. McMahon gulps, as Austin approach’s him. Austin snatches the microphone off McMahon.

Steve Austin “So you’re not gonna give me another title shot? You’re not gonna give Stone Cold another title shot? Well I’m not gonna give you a choice McMahon. That title there in your possession is mind! And I’ll kick any ass that gets in my damn way!”

The crowd go nuts and Austin stares at McMahon before leaning in to him.

Steve Austin “Starting with you, you son of a bitch!”

The crowd go nuts as McMahon backs off and Austin stalks him. Suddenly the lights go out and when they appear back on McMahon is on the outside with Austin in the ring alone with Kane and Undertaker!

    Jim Ross “Austin’s all alone!”

Jerry Lawler “No where to run JR!”

Jim Ross “Austin won’t run King. I promise you that!”

The crowd get behind Austin as he attacks both men with right hands and shakes both men but eventually gets nailed with an Undertaker uppercut knocking him down. Kane and Taker picks up Austin and both men drill Austin with a double Chokeslam to the disgust of the crowd and delight of Mr McMahon. McMahon enters the ring and starts to laugh and slaps Kane on the chest and then Undertaker. Out of nowhere and to the delight of the crowd Kane grabs McMahon by the throat as Undertaker grabs a microphone.

Jerry Lawler “Ah! What is Undertaker doing?”

McMahon looks scared to death as Taker begins to speak.

The Undertaker “You’re Title? You’re Title? McMahon you screwed us. And now you’ll pay the price.”

The crowd go wild as McMahon pleads for his life before finally getting his words across.

Vince McMahon “No. No. The real champion. The real champion.”

McMahon can’t get his words out so Taker releases him and McMahon catches his breath before being handed another microphone.

    Vince McMahon “I’m not champion.”

The Undertaker “Who is the champion?”

Vince gulps knowing Taker won’t like his response.

    Vince McMahon “I don’t know.”

Taker starts to approach Vince again while Kane just looks on.

Vince McMahon “Look Taker. Taker. I promise you that once business is taken care of then I will tell you who the champion is. I promise you that. Please believe me.”

    Taker stops his approach.

The Undertaker “You better not be screwing us.”

Vince looks somewhat relieved at this withdrawal from Taker and gets his cocky tone once again.

Vince McMahon “I guarantee it! And to prove to you my intentions, tonight I’m going to make a match. Tonight it’s going to be Kane and The Undertaker Vs “Stone Cold” Steve Austin!”

McMahon smiles before leaving the ring looking a very relieved yet cocky man.

Jim Ross “McMahon! That son of a bitch! Just screwed Austin again!”

Jerry Lawler “Watch your potty-mouth JR! Vince McMahon is a very fair man!”

Jim Ross “You know you make me sick!”

    Jerry Lawler “Huh?”

Jim Ross “This whole situation makes me sick!”

    Commercial Break

Both men clash in a rematch from last night’s pay-per-view but this time under normal rules. Both men tie up and Vader gains control when he runs through Bradshaw. The momentum goes to Bradshaw when he avoids a Vader splash in the corner. Bradshaw keeps control with basic brawling until Vader nails a powerslam for a near fall. Vader drags Bradshaw to the corner and climbs the ropes looking for the Vader Bomb. Bradshaw gets his knees up and runs off the ropes to nail the Clothesline From Hell. Bradshaw covers for the three.

Jim Ross “Well at least Bradshaw kept his mouth clean tonight King!”

Jerry Lawler “Yeh, any of what we had last night and we might have got cancelled JR!”

Action switches to the back and Michael Cole standing by with Ken Shamrock.

Michael Cole “Shamrock. You requested this time?”

Ken Shamrock “I didn’t request this time! I demanded it!”

Michael Cole “Ok. What would you like to get off your chest?”

Ken Shamrock “I want to make it clear to you! The people in this arena! And everybody sitting at home! That last night I did not lose at Breakdown! I didn’t lose!”

Michael Cole “With all due respect. You were the one who was pinned.”

Shamrock stares at Cole who takes a step back.

Ken Shamrock “Only because I was hit over the head with a damn chair! Mankind is the one who hit me with a chair and let Rock pin me. It was he fault! Not mine! Mankind lost the match! And tonight I’m gonna prove it, tonight I’m gonna get some revenge. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”

Shamrock walks off looking pumped up.

Jim Ross “Well I don’t like the sound of that King!”

Jerry Lawler “ I tell you what I don’t like! I don’t like Michael Cole’s attitude towards Shamrock! He should watch his mouth JR!”

    Commercial Break

    Darren Drosdov Vs Mankind

Two losers from their respective matches last night tie up to start. Mankind takes control with a knee to the gut and keeps control with vicious brawling. Mankind takes the action to the outside and throws Drosdov into the steps and bounces his head of the announce table. Droz does get some offence in when he reverses a whip and sends Mankind into the security barrier. Droz throws Mankind into the ring and covers but only gets a two. Droz pounds away at Mankind until Mankind reverses in the corner and pounds away at Droz mercilessly before choking him on the bottom rope. Shamrock nails a belly-to-belly suplex and goes outside for a chair. Shamrock nails Mankind with the chair and continues to attack Mankind in the midsection with the chair until officials finally drag an intense Shamrock off. Shamrock starts to regain control of himself as the crowd boo’s ring around the arena.

Jim Ross “That was totally uncalled for by Shamrock!”

Jerry Lawler “Mankind’s idiocy cost Shamrock a shot at the WWF Championship JR!”

Jim Ross “Yeh right! Let me ask you who brought the steel chair into the cage in the first place last night?”

Jerry Lawler “I don’t remember that JR!”

Jim Ross “Well that’s funny because it was your buddy Ken Shamrock!”

Jerry Lawler “Well that’s irrelevant anyway.”

Jim Ross “Yeh King, course it is.”

    Commercial Break

As we come back Edge is in the back and wants some answers from Gangrel. Edge manages to catch up with Gangrel.

Edge “What is my brother doing here?”

    Gangrel smiles before answering

Gangrel “Your brother came home and so shall you.”

Gangrel walks off leaving a confused Edge.

Jim Ross “Come home? What does that mean?”

    Jerry Lawler “Brother?”

Action switches to The Rock to huge cheers and the rest of The Nation are with him.

The Rock “The Rock is glad you are in his locker room. The Rock wanted you to hear what he had to say face to face!”

The crowd cheer as Owen, Mark and D’lo looked confused.

The Rock “Last night The Rock became the number one contender to the WWF Title in front of the millions (AND MILLIONS) of The Rock’s fans. The Rock did what he said would do……………………”

D’lo Brown “Look will you just get to the point.”

Rock makes an over exaggerated shocked expression.

The Rock “I’m sorry D’lo? Is The Rock keeping you from something? Is The Rock taking up your precious time?”

    D’lo Brown “Well actually…………..”

    The Rock “Shut up!”

The crowd go nuts, as D’lo looks pissed off.

The Rock “The Rock says that now he is the number one contender and the people’s champ, he no longer wants to associate with ruddy poo candy ass jabronis like you and that tub of lard next to you!”

The crowd cheer as D’lo restrains Henry.

Owen Hart “What are you saying Rock?”

The Rock “The Rock is saying that as of this moment, The Nation and The Rock are done, finished, caput. Over!”

The crowd cheer as D’lo smiles.

D’lo Brown “You think we’re gonna just let you leave? You think it’s that easy? When you leave The Nation it’ll be because we don’t want you, not because you want to leave!”

D’lo slaps the chops of The Rock and Rock starts to lay down some smack to the delight of the crowd. Henry steps in though and D’lo and Henry beat down Rock with Owen not sure what to do. The crowd are giving real heat until Owen steps in to even the odds and the crowd go nuts. Owen and The Rock beat the hell out of D’lo and Mark Henry bouncing heads off tables and walls. Then they throw them out the dressing room. Rock looks at Owen and Owen looks at Rock before both men shake heads to each other in respect as the crowd cheer.

Jim Ross “The Rock and Owen showing mutual respect in a way words cannot express!”

Jerry Lawler “But JR if I know D’lo and Mark Henry then I know there’s going to be hell to pay!”

Jim Ross “Sadly I think you’re right!”

The Headbangers (Mosh & Thrasher) Vs The New Age Outlaws (“Bad Ass” Billy Gunn & Road Dogg)

Blackman got into the match with a stiff martial arts kick but Val was too much and regained control with a spinebuster and hit the Money Shot for the win. Val and Terri celebrate in the ring with some tonsil hockey until the lights go out and a voice can be heard. The voice proclaims, “Val would be judge for his sins. Jerry Lawler “And a new lovely assistant! Woo-ho! Come balance my books Debra!”

Jim Ross “Yeh she’ll change your finance situation in a hurry.”

    Jerry Lawler “Oh JR! Haha.”

Jarrett makes his way to the ring and Debra holds the middle rope open for him as he enters. Debra then grabs Jarrett a microphone.

Jeff Jarrett “Will you people shut the hell up!”

    The crowd boo.

Jeff Jarrett “I didn’t come out here to listen to you idiots. I came out here so you idiots could listen to me!”

Debra claps as the crowd boo some more.

Jeff Jarrett “As you people may have noticed, last night me and Southern Justice took on DX to devastating consequences for one of them. Take a look at the footage!”

Jarrett points to the Titantron, which shows footage of Jarrett blasting his guitar over the head of X Pac at Breakdown last night.

Jeff Jarrett “Now X Pac couldn’t be here tonight due to that shot right there. X Pac is in hospital having his eye seen to by specialists. And that’s all because of me, Jeff Jarrett!”

The crowd boo as Jarrett smiles and Debra claps.

Jeff Jarrett “Now let that be a warning to anybody else in the back. You don’t mess with Jeff Jarrett and you sure as hell don’t piss me of…………………..”

“Are you ready?” DX’s theme starts up to the delight of the crowd and Triple H appears from the back with Chyna in his shadow.

Jim Ross “Well Jeff Jarrett is scheduled to take on Triple H here tonight and you know Triple H will be looking for revenge for that guitar shot!”

Jerry Lawler “Yeh? Well he can keep looking.”

The entrance for Triple H switches between his entrance video and Triple H’s entrance until Triple H stands in the middle of the ring and does the crotch chop as fireworks go off behind and then taunts to the crowd on the ropes. Triple H then grabs a microphone.

Triple H “Jarrett. Why don’t you just shut the hell up!”

The crowd cheer. Jarrett looks pissed off and advances on Triple H.

Triple H “Wait one second Jarrett. I have business to take care of.”

Jarrett takes a step back looking ticked off.

Triple H “Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls and to the millions watching at home. Lets get ready to suc……………………………”

Jarrett punches Triple H knocking him down and starting the match much to the disgust of the crowd.

Jeff Jarrett w Debra Vs Triple H w Chyna

Jarrett stomps away at Triple H on the floor and backs Triple H into a corner where Jarrett stomps away some more. Jarrett keeps the upper hand and doesn’t give Triple H time to breath with a merciless none stop bump and grind attack. Triple H finally gets some breathing space with an inverted atomic drop and clothesline. Triple H keeps control until Debra jumps on the apron to provide a distraction. Chyna soon pulls her down but Jarrett takes advantage with a club from behind. Jarrett has control and starts to work the legs. Triple H regains control when Jarrett goes for the Figure Four but gets kicked against the turnbuckle. Jarrett stumbles around and is kneed in the gut and pedigreed. Triple H covers for the three.

    Commercial Break

Kane & The Undertaker w Vince McMahon Vs “Stone Cold” Steve Austin

Vince McMahon makes his way down to the ring to start and announces the entrance of the men. Kane and Taker come down first to mixed reactions. Austin comes down to a huge reaction and McMahon tries to play down his entrance. Austin runs to the ring and takes down both men with right hands. Austin clotheslines Taker to the outside and chokes Kane with his waist jacket. Kane is bounced off the ropes and Austin nails him with a Lou Thesz Press and mounted punches. Austin bounces off the ropes but Taker grabs his leg and drags him to the outside. Taker goes to throw Austin off the ring post but Austin blocks and elbows Taker in the gut and nails him head first into the ringpost. Austin grabs a steel chair and nails Taker on the outside leaving Taker slumping on the outside. Austin enters the ring and nails Kane with the chair. McMahon enters the ring to stalk Austin from behind but Austin turns around and catches McMahon! McMahon backs off looking scared to death. Austin drops the chair and hammers away at McMahon to the delight of the capacity crowd. Austin throws McMahon off the ropes but Taker grabs McMahon and pulls him to safety to the jeers of the crowd. Taker enters the ring and Austin stomps away at him and then hammers away at him. A so far absent Kane then nails Austin from behind and the crowd sense a beatdown. Kane and Taker start to mercilessly double-team Austin with hard-hitting offence and power moves. McMahon cheers on both men from the outside and the action spills to the outside again when Kane and Taker both throw Austin into the steel steps and take him up the ramp way with merciless kicks, punches and throws into the guard rail.

Jim Ross “This is just merciless! Stop this damn it!”

Jerry Lawler “This is great JR! Austin deserves everything he gets.”

“Do you smell what The Rock is cooking?” The Rock’s music starts up and the crowd go crazy as Rock comes running out!

Jerry Lawler “Ah! What the hell is Rock doing here?”

Rock attacks Taker and throws him into the guardrail. Rock then beats on Kane and throws him into the steel steps. Rock advances onto McMahon and throws him into the ring to the anticipation of the crowd. Rock grabs a microphone and enters the ring himself.

The Rock “The Rock says you forgot who the number one contender is! Let The Rock remind you!”

Rock drops the microphone and nails a Rock Bottom on McMahon to the delight of the crowd.

Jerry Lawler “Rock! What are you doing?”

Jim Ross “McMahon just got a memo from The Rock!”

The Rock “If ya smellllllllllllllllllll what The Rock is cooking!”

Rock stands over McMahon with the WWF Title in his hand as the camera pans Undertaker down, Kane down and Austin down and finally rests on Rock standing tall over McMahon with the crowd going nuts!

  22. WWF 1998: A Different Way

The WWF is the leader in Sport’s Entertainment with its exciting attitude era and the feud between Steve Austin and Vince McMahon drawing big time. WWF has a strong roster with plenty of talent throughout and is riding high with Steve Austin as a high drawing champion. So on to WWF Breakdown…………………………………….

    WWF Breakdown In Your House

    September 27th 1998

    Copps Coliseum – Hamilton, Ontario

    Owen Hart Vs Edge

Before Break Down Gangrel had told Edge he would come home………………

Owen Hart picked up the win after Edge was distracted by an unknown somebody, familiar to him, on the outside.

Al Snow & Too Cold Scorpio w Head Vs Too Much (Brian Christopher & Scott Taylor)

Al Snow accidentally hit his own partner Scorpio with head during the match! Regardless Al Snow picked up the win when he pinned Taylor.

Darren Drosdov Vs “Marvellous” Marc Mero w Jacqueline

Mero picked up win with the Marvelosity (Shooting Star Press) after Jacqueline and her high heel nailed Drosdov in the head.

    Falls Count Anywhere Match

    Bradshaw Vs Vader

Justin Bradshaw laid the bad mouth on Vader throughout and nailed the victory with a modified neckbreaker.

    D’lo Brown Vs Gangrel

Before the match we are shown footage of D'lo losing the European Championship to X Pac on Raw. D’lo picked up the win thanks to interference by Mark Henry. After the match Gangrel gained some revenge when he spat a red liquid in Henry’s eyes and nailed D’lo with an Impaler DDT.

    Number One Contender’s Match

    Steel Cage Triple Threat Match

Ken Shamrock Vs Mankind Vs The Rock

Before hand we are shown footage of a similar match (bar the Steel Cage) between the three being interrupted by Kane and Undertaker and hence setting up tonight’s match. Each man took turns in being double teamed by his opponent’s. The crowd were hot for The Rock and behind the crazy antics of Mankind but totally against Shamrock. The crazy bump of the match came from Mankind who jumped from the top of the cage only to miss his aim and crash to the mat! Later on, Mankind had the match won with a sick chair shot to Shamrock but elected to go over the top of the cage. Rock capitalised and pinned Shamrock for the win. The aftermath saw Mankind tearing his hair out and Shamrock going nuts on the outside with a steel chair.

Dustin Runnels Vs Val Venis w Terri Runnels

The motive behind this match was very strong. After attacking Val because of his adult lifestyle Dustin was made to pay a huge price. Val, seeking revenge, made an adult movie entitled “The Preacher’s Wife” for the whole world to see on Raw. The worst part was that is starred Dustin’s wife Terri! Having had marriage troubles already, this was the final nail in the coffin for Dustin and Terri’s marriage. To add insult to injury Terri accompanied her new lover during the match and her attire defiantly followed the idea of less being more! Dustin couldn’t fully concentrate due to his wife being at ringside and Val picked up the win.

Jeff Jarret & Southern Justice (Dennis Knight & Mark Canterbury) w Debra Vs The New Age Outlaws (“Bad Ass” Billy Gunn & Road Dogg) & X Pac w Chyna

Before the match footage is shown of an ambush by Jeff Jarret and Southern Justice on their opponents prior to Breakdown. Billy Gunn picked up the win but the real story was with X Pac who had Jarrett’s guitar smashed over his head during the match. X Pac had to be helped to the back by his stable mates after the match.

    WWF Championship Match

Triple Threat Match (Kane cannot pin Undertaker. Undertaker cannot pin Kane)

Kane Vs “Stone Cold” Steve Austin © Vs The Undertaker

This was nothing more than a glorified handicap match set up by Vince McMahon who watched the carnage from the comfort of his skybox with Sable. Austin struck first though with a chair shot to Taker during his entrance. The match started off with Austin trying to divide and conquer but the numbers game eventually caught him up and Kane and Taker began their double team. Trouble arose however for McMahon when both men began to argue and attack each other! Austin came close to retaining but eventually succumbed to a double Chokeslam and double pin. In a state of confusion McMahon took advantage and hastily made his way to the ring to collect the gold. Austin gave chase but Breakdown ended with McMahon’s giving the finger while holding the gold from his speeding off limo.

    WWF Champion’s After Breakdown

    WWF Championship: Unknown

    Intercontinental Champion: Triple H

    European Champion: X Pac

    Light Heavyweight Championship: TAKA Michinoku

    Women’s Champion: Jacqueline

WWF Tag Team Champion’s: The New Age Outlaws (“Bad Ass” Billy Gunn & Road Dogg)

    A New Era

So a new era was entered. Austin was no longer the champion; in fact nobody held the belt. Austin was a big drawing, safe champion who the WWF could rely on to draw in the big crowds. How would the WWF deal with the title situation and who would become the next champion? Would the gold soon be back on Austin or would somebody step forward to feud with him? So many questions and a new set of answers as we enter WWF 1998: A Different Way.
