  1. Even if he beats the charges, again. He will always have to answer to those questions regardless. Your point in particular (Y)
  2. Most prolific goalscorer: Hmmm. Christian Jolley (AFC Wimbledon) comes to mind. I took over there in mid december 2011 when they were dead last in league 2 and had scored something like 15 goals in total (Jolley had scored 1/3 of them). Then i loaned a guy named Marko Mitrovic from Chelsea, and now im sitting in 15th place with three games of the season left and Jolley have surpassed 20 goals. Shame Mitrovic will be going back to Chelsea
  3. No doubt. But if i have to be realistic: We qualified with a fair share of luck. We were very lucky indeed against Netherlands. Made two costly errors against Portugal, and died with the boots on against Germany. (EDIT: To Die with your boots on is an idiom that basically means that you don't lie down or give up before all is said and done. And its also an Iron Maiden song from the Piece of Mind record) The major difference about this team compared to the one that went to South Africa is that we had no Thomas Sørensen, no Jesper Gronkjaer, no Jon Dahl Tomasson. Christian Poulsen is still around, but have been on the bench for the most part. The other Poulsen (The midfielder, not the back) will have nightmares about that shot on the bar. The biggest problem looking forward is still that we do not have a plan B if Nicky Bendtner isnt "on" But seeing as most danes expected 3x beatings, we can be proud of what we've done. Netherlands on the other hand....
  4. So tonight the Netherlands can redeem some of their pride against Portugal with a win. I meanwhile predict Germany to defeat Denmark 2-0 (I have been wrong before, heres hoping im wrong again ) So Netherlands 1-0 Portugal (with a bunch of yellow and red cards) and Germany 2-0 Denmark
  5. Whenever Denmark wins over Germany in group stage matches, we usually get stuck with Spain who then breaks our hearts (Mexico 86 5-1) does not look too good. However, if Germany win tonight, they're pretty much sure to advance, which means they don't have the world to play for against Denmark. (Y)
  6. a mixed bag for me. Sad because of the loss. Happy because a buddy of mine now owes me money. We had an over/under bet, i said more than 4 goals
  7. B-52 as double goalscorer. Whodathunkit
  8. The one evening where i have hit the Euro off button, and riots breaks out >_< I just hope it doesnt get worse than what i've heard already
  9. The Swedes central defence in trouble a couple of times
  10. That Swedish shirt reminds me of A.I.K Solna/Stockholm (Y)
  11. Dont know with you guys, but the danish commentators signal went out >_<
  12. I completely forgot the godlike status that Zlatan have in Sweden
  13. Swedens 5 games in 2012: 2-0 @Bahrain 5-0 @Qutar u23 3-1 @Croatia 3-2 against Iceland 2-1 against Serbia last two games on home turf
  14. From what i know, Sweden is undefeated in 2012. So an upset ? I would go with Sweden as Ukraine havent played an important match in 2 years
  15. Well. England has to be satisfied with this result.
  16. If anyone had told me before this game that Lescott would be the first goal scorer.... I would have asked them to check their head
  17. No wonder Denmark is voted the happiest people in the world year after year
  18. When we drew Cyprus we didn't have a coach (Queiroz was suspended and not fired yet), so not much to go by. We beat you at home when we needed to do so, and lost in Denmark when a draw would be enough. And we beat Bosnia 6-2 in the playoffs... Not that I firmly believe that we win, come Wednesday, but I wouldn't count us off. Hell, I expected us to do much worse agains the Germans tonight. Hell. I expected Denmark to be steamrolled over by The Netherlands, so who am i to judge? :lmao: Yeah, you clearly don't know anything about football! At least im not scared to admit when im wrong. I had said elsewhere that i would love for Denmark to prove me wrong. And they did. And i ate my words for it. (Y) So cheers, and have a coke zero on me

  20. Wow. After this evening, the Netherlands have really either set themselves up for one of the biggest comeback ever or one of the biggest disappointments ever. . They are forced to win against Germany now, and then have to get some kind of result (a win being most likely) against Portugal. It won't be easy, but if somebody can do it, it might just be the Netherlands (or Holland as they are known in Denmark). However! Netherlands lost the first game in the 88 campaign if im not mistaken. So do not sell the fur before the bear is shot dead (Y) Germany played alright, but they didnt live up to my expectations. That might be because Portugal played with 4 or 5 people in the back. That said, just how many chances did Podolski have? Also Gomez made that goal look easy. Germany does not look all up in gear yet. So if facing Netherlands on Wednesday is not motivation, what is? (Y) Portugal. Im not saying they look toothless, but they came pretty close, apart from the Pepe chance in the 1st half they didnt have a lot to come with. They might have defeated Spain in a friendly. But 4-4 against Cyprus in the qualifiers werent good. And they have looked far from good in 2012. The team spirit sometimes seems non-existent They will be coming out with all guns blazing on Wednesday, if they do not know their place, then it is bye bye. (Y) Denmark: Im stunned. Simply put. Lucky as hell as my fellow countryman have pointed out, but it stands and Denmark sits on top in Group B along with Germany. We have had good experiences against Portugal in recent times, so that is kind of a dream opponent. What Denmark needs to do from here is to cut the number of chances given to the opposition. I highly doubt we will be as lucky with Portugal or Germany. Its simple, you cannot keep such big teams from scoring if you give them those many chances. The key is that no one really expected anything from Denmark. Oh and all those harsh words i had to eat gave me a stomach ache
  21. There have been given penalties for less than that. So yes. But thats football sometimes
  22. No news there really (Y) The kid is his own biggest fan
