  1. Mr. Davis sir, you do have a funny diary right here. The backstage segments with the writing staff and Stephanie make me chuckle, and the way you showcase the superstars backstage is funny as well.

For the Benoit issue, do what you have to do, its an alternate reality, I'd keep him in there. The way you are handling it now though is good, and I like what you have going so far.

Keep up the good work, this is a funny, and witty diary. Like your writing style, like the way you have been writing your results.

Good job sir, and keep it up.

  2. 360.. I'm going to echo what everyone else is saying with the online service probably being one of the best right now, but who knows things can change. Plus, PS3 really has not hit the market with "true" games, meaning games that are exclusive to the system, except for a few. Give PS3 a few more years, maybe wait till at least Christmas for the price of the system to go down.

    Sparta - Threes

    7.5/10

It's a good album, better than there previous efforts that they put forth. Strong rock and roll throughout the entire album, and a nice and easy listen on a late spring day.

Top Tracks: Taking Back Control, The Most Vicious Crime, Translations

  5. Bang Bang Maxwell Silver Hammer.... sorry got caught up singing the song.

I love 'A Day in the Life' such a classic song that really got people wondering if Paul was really dead. Besides that the album from top to bottom is a classic, but I do prefer 'Revolver' and 'Rubber Soul' just like everyone else on the board does.

You cannot like Rock and Roll without liking The Beatles in my opinion.

Yay for blanket statements. I know "it's your opinion", but seriously, different strokes for different folks.

  7. I'm sure this has been covered in the topic, but know of any sites that I can get some books?

Recent and some old school stuff would be nice. The place I have by me is downright awful.

    Thanks guys.

Do you have any flea markets nearby? Usually you can find some comic books there, or at least the ones in my area.

  8. Kat Von D. If you don't know who she is, your tattoo fetish pales in comparison to mine. I'd like to take this moment to give props to YI, I believe, who first posted a picture of her here that I saw.

Not me. Women with tattoo's (Unless they're tiny, insignificant and cute) do absolutely nothing for me.

And "Cat like eyes"...nowhere near as flattering as you think it might be.

JESUS CHRIST...Alexis Bladel, or whoever, her forehead is FUCKING HUGE!!!!

And nobody dare insult Rachel McAdams. She likes The Weakerthans. Therefore has better musical tastes than just about anybody else posting here. :shifty:

  9. NITRO

    - I really enjoyed the segment between Douglas/Flair, which seems to be a great built at this point, the passion that Flair and Douglas are showing in their promos are great, I really like how you've made all of Flair's friends turn his back, after the shit Douglas is spewing. Then the brawl that involved Flair and his boys and the Horsemen did its justice

    - Goldberg dominating Kidman wasn't a surprise here, keeps the match interesting between Raven and Goldberg for the US title come GAB. Hopefully this leads to a proper push for Goldberg in the main event scene, and Raven with the US title, should be a good little brawl.

    - Next Monday on Nitro, Anderson/Flair acting like men and doing it under Horseman Code, this will probably lead to JJ turning on Flair, making this feud on Douglas making Flair's friends turning on everyone. That's what I'm hoping, prove me wrong though.

    - Loved the Jericho promo hyping his match with Eddie, as I laughed the entire time, him wondering where Gene was, and being sorry for calling Gene old, to the part talking about the match itself. Jericho at his finest, and his generally funny self.

    - Nice match between Eddie and Jericho, for the Cruiserweight Championship none the less, but didn't like the finish, even though it fits Jericho perfectly, rather seen him retain it cleanly, but oh well hopefully this can lead to a match at GAB, maybe involving Chavo for his treatment towards Eddie.

    - Nash and Hall made there message sent to the both of them, showcasing the abilities of them talking trash towards there opponents. Got the point acrossed as needed.

    - Rick telling Book that he has his back for his match but Book not wanting it, obviously means that he's going to get destroyed by Scotty right?

    - Right, but in a convincing fashion too, Book got the win, but only because of Scott running in and deciding to destroy him, was an okay match, never really enjoyed the work of Buff, but I could see Booker carrying this match until the run in.

    - I liked the Hart segment telling it like it is, about how he doesn't like what he sees in the New World Order, leading the WCW to a hopeful victory towards the tandem.

    - Good tag match between The Horseman, and the friends supporting Ric Flair, sad to see Flair's boys lose, but it only adds the drama towards the potential match up between Douglas and Flair, whenever it may be. I like how Heenan says Douglas always has been garbage, that made me chuckle.

    - Oh the mind games will continue, so MORE MIND GAMES!

    - The main event was real good, seeing the tension not only between Nash and Hart, but the tension also between the Hogan/Nash and the nWo and Hart, which makes everything very interesting. So, in all Hogan/Bischoff/Savage are looking strong, as it seems Bret still feels that Nash is actually working for the nWo. But good main event, and it seems everything is falling into place.

    THUNDER

    - An alright opener as I'm not too fond of Konnan or Vincent, but none the less an okay opener, and I'm glad that those two didn't win or I would have cried possibly.

    - Solid Promo by Raven, with him telling it how it was saying how he doesn't care about what goes on inside the Flock, just about what goes on with him, and he seems determined to take out Goldberg, and I hope he can.

    - A decent tag match, which I was happy to see Chavo and Eddie actually win a match without anyone from the Horsemen come in and ruin it, and its a shame that they had to carry this match up too, but its what you can expect on a show like Thunder, put them in a match with maybe the Outsiders, and it could probably be an interesting match up.

    - Poor Evan, wanting to go and prove himself as a worth wild wrestler by joining forces with Rude and Hennig, he gets thrown in a match against Goldberg, and gets demolished. Ah well, we knew that would happen right?

    - As I wonder who this voice is...

    - Sucks to see that Davey Boy lost the match, even though it was because of a somewhat loopy Anvil, who has Post Concussion Syndrome. But I don't think that matters to Davey who lost because of that fact, and I wouldn't be surprised if he started brush off Anvil.

    - At first when I read this match, I thought that the Horsemen had some sort of chance, but I remembered this was an Title Match, so no way the titles would change on free TV. But it got interesting when Flair's friends came out to even the score, thus allowing Hall and Nash to win. I like where the tag division is heading and I could enjoy seeing The Rising Sons versus the Outsiders.

Overall, I felt Nitro was the better show of the two, even though it was all Flair/Douglas. I like the new format, but loved the old one too, so its pretty much up to you with how and what you want to continue, but overall good job this week, as the build up continues towards GAB.

  10. A perfect 8/8 in my first round predictions. Second round might be my downfall though, but I'm not jumping on the Ducks bandwagon yet. The Nucks/Ducks series will be a really hard faught series, and just because the Ducks have the regular season advantage doesn't mean anything. It's going to be another seven game series I think.

  11. Eastern Confrence Quaterfinals

    1. Buffalo vs 8. NY Islanders

    2. NJ Devils vs 7. Tampa Bay

    3. Atlanta vs 6. NY Rangers

    4. Ottawa vs 5. Pittsburgh

Buffalo sweeps the Islanders, nuff said. If it was Toronto, this would of been a five to six game series. Devils will beat Tampa, because of the fact that its Marty, and its time for him to show his worth, in five games. Or maybe Clemmenson will get some games in. Atlanta does NOT deserve to be the three seed, as I figure them to be the weakest team in the Eastern Confrence, this will go five or six. Ottawa has the experience, and the edge in net to beat Pittsburg in six.

    Western Confrence Quaterfinals

    1. Detroit vs 8. Calgary

    2. Anaheim vs 7. Minnesota

    3. Vancouver vs 6. Dallas

    4. Nashville vs 5. San Jose

Detroit finally is able to get out of the first round, because of a healthy Dominic Hasek, and Calgary just stops scoring, in six games. The Ducks start their quest towards the Cup, and Minnesota will be a tough task, but in the end the Ducks will win this in five, since this is a different J.S. Gigure than last year. Vancouver wins thanks to Turco remembering this is the playoffs, and Luongo, in five. San Jose Nashville will be an interesting match up in the first round, I think that they're going to exchange wins the first few games, but in the end San Jose wins in seven.

    Eastern Confrence Semifinals

    1. Buffalo vs 6. NY Rangers

    2. NJ Devils vs 4. Ottawa

The Rangers will have a tough task facing a fast pace Buffalo team, but I do think that this will be a lot closer than everyone thinks because this isn't the same Ranger team that Buffalo faced in the beginning of the season, so Buffalo in five. As for New Jersey, all good things must end. Yeah, even the Devils season, so Ottawa in seven.

    Western Confrence Semifinals

    1. Detroit vs 5. San Jose

    2. Anaheim vs 3. Vancouver

Detroit and San Jose will be an interesting series, but Cheechoo and Thornton, and Billy Guerin (The Comeback Player of the Year, BOOK IT) will be too much for Hasek and the Wings. As we go on to the other series, we will see Luongo get over matched because Vancouver does not seem to put enough puck in the net, so in this series it will be Anaheim in five.

    Eastern Confrence Finals

    1. Buffalo vs 4. Ottawa

So we go to the most heated rivalry in the sport right now, we all remember the brawl of doom at Buffalo in Jan/Feb this year. Drury, Briere, Afinagenov, Miller versus Alfredsson, Heatly, Spezza and Emery. It comes down to the better goaltender, and I really think its Ryan Miller, because he made the greatest save of the year (here). Buffalo in seven.

    Western Confrence Finals

    2. Anaheim vs 5. San Jose

Another interesting match up, as these two teams had a strong showing at the end of the year, and San Jose getting its scoring touch back with Cheechoo and Thornton going on respective scoring tears in their own right, but in the end its going to come down to the better goaltending, and with Gigure being the set goaltender for the Ducks, and as we are still possibly figuring out that Vesa Tolaksa should be the goaltender for the Sharks, no Nabokov, we will sit here and realize, we don't coach the Sharks, and they will fail miserbly, in six.

    Stanley Cup Finals

    EC: Buffalo vs WC: Anaheim

So, this is what it comes down to Ryan Miller versus JS Gigure. Danny Briere versus Teemu Selanne. Or better yet, Chris Pronger versus someone who plays defense on the Sabres. Speed versus finesse. And the winner will be the Sabres, in a six game series, where JS Gigure will get outshown again by another goaltender, but THIS time, he won't win the Conn Symthe. BOOK IT. This was my pick from the beginning of the season, and I am going to stick with it, and then we go onto next year.

    Awards

Jack Adams (best coach): Lindsay Ruff - Buffalo. Best team in the league, and the best coach will win this for the second straight year.

Calder (top rookie): Evgeni Malkin - Pittsburgh. So, if he wasn't in the league it would of been Kopizar from LA, but he decided to play this year, and with having Crosby, and Staal along side with him, it made his rookie season even sweeter.

King Clancy (sportsmanship): Chris Simon - New York Islanders... Brendan Shanahan - New York Rangers. He was the true captain on this team, being the most vocal, and the big leader on this team.

Hart (most valuable player): Sidney Crosby - Pittsburgh Penguins. He turned around this entire team, and started to make this franchise fun again, hence them making the playoffs, and them living the dream.

William M. Jennings (least goals against): Manny Fernandez and Niklas Backstrom - Minnesota Wild. Gave up the least goals in the entire league (191). 'Nuff said.

Masterton (deadication): Everyone. They're all dedicated.

James Norris (top defensemen): Scott Neidermayer - Anaheim Ducks. So while people out there think that Souray deserves to get this because he had 26 goals, Neids had a better overall year, leading defensemen in points with 69 points, and had a plus 6.

Pearson (most outstanding player): Roberto Luongo - Vancouver Cannucks. He did it all for this team. And pretty much was the team for the entire season for the Cannucks. He deserves it.

Selke (offensive defensemen): Jordan Staal - Pittsburgh Penguins. Was probably the teams best Penalty Killer, and was an offensive threat in on the PK. Lead with seven PK goals. Going to be a good player no doubt.

Conn Smythe (top player in playoffs): Daniel Briere - Buffalo Sabres. He is the heart and soul of this team, its going to be hard to sign him, after a career year this year. But I do feel he will be going back to the Sabres as he is the franchise player.

Vezina (top goaltender): Martin Brodeur and Roberto Luongo - New Jersey Devils and Vancouver Cannucks. These two broke the record held by Perent for wins in a season with 48 and 47 repsectfully. But we know why Luongo deserve it, Brodeur deserves this for his 12 shut outs, and his continued dominace in the league.

Yeah I was bored, and decided to do this deal.
