  1. To be fair, thats due to the style of football changing drastically since the days of Johnny U. Passing back then was more vertical, and completion percentages were lower due to that, and the lessened rules on defensive backs. The game is geared towards the offense now, making it much easier. Hell, Joe Namath has a career completion percentage of 50, and more interceptions than touchdowns. That's my point, some analysts will point to passer rating to put one QB over another.
  2. Tony Gwynn is a fat, fat man. Also he's not a very good baseball announcer, neither is Chip Caray for that matter. Big ups to the Rockies, 21 out of 22 is amazing.
  3. The BCS is not going anywhere any time soon, they just signed a new contract.
  4. Atlanta has Joey Harrington on their team, so that disqualifies from winning. 14-10, G-Men.
  5. Let me just add FSU has added Oklahoma for home/away and then WVU home/away the two years after that, they were signed last season I believe. So they recognize what the out of conference scheduling does for the BCS and getting voters early on (OSU/UT, OSU/USC coming up, Cal/Tenn, etc). But I agree with DMN that rivalry games don't count.
  6. The Cowboys defense is NOT above average, not even close. They gave up 35 points to the Giants.
  7. That was one of the best episodes of TV I've ever seen. This show is so much better without Robin, so much better. Since she's not going to be the mother, get rid of her.
  8. That's just a flat lie. The year they were left out they lost to an unranked team whereas LSU and Oklahoma lost to ranked teams. That's pretty clear cut, black & white to me. Just because they were flashy and had Reggie Bush doesn't mean anything. And honestly, with the love fest the media had for them, that sparked the huge rise in the talks. I made these picks before the games... #9 Florida (4-1) @ #1 LSU (5-0) Kansas (4-0) #24 Kansas State (3-1) #20 Cincinnati (5-0) #21 Rutgers (3-1) #25 Nebraska (4-1) #17 Missouri (4-0) #15 Virginia Tech (4-1) #22 Clemson (4-1) #4 Ohio State (5-0) #23 Purdue (5-0) #12 Georgia (4-1) Tennessee (2-2) #10 Oklahoma (4-1) #19 Texas (4-1) #5 Wisconsin (5-0) Illinois (4-1)
  9. Pretty sure it was just one of those cynical jokes between themselves.
  10. Here's a guess: During his fight with Rocky, the crowd turned on him and he turned on big wigs in the Kremlin. After the fight, he was prevented from fighting in the USA and sent to the Siberian wilderness and most likely killed by the KGB.
  11. Dwight went all Kevorakian on Angela's cat, top that...other season premiers.
  12. Funny but definietly did not live up to the hype that NBC has thrown behind it. But I'll watch, better than 90% of the garbage that is on TV.
