  1. I preordered from Amazon. I don't get anything special, do I? :(

$10 promotional credit and the Batman: Arkham City Comic, a paperback version of the Digital comic that tells the tale of what happened during the end of Arkham Asylum and before Arkham City.

  2. Psylocke! always a favourite of mine. Only on wii though? Lame. I was in gamestation today and they say if you pre-order with them you get Thor? The hell, I thought Thor was just in the game anyway?

Thor is going to be in the game. The gamestation preorder deal will be a code that can unlock him at the beginning of the game, just like how some stores gave out codes to unlock the Silver Surfer and Dare Devil in MUA 1. The same thing is being done with the Hulk as well.

Juggernaut is the only character that you need to preorder to get. There's no other way to get him, at least for now.

  3. It's basically either do that or find out when the "fuck, you can't go back" point in the game is.. like I had to do with Shadow Complex.

Don't worry about that, it's pretty obvious when that point occurs. And yes, after you beat the game, you can continue looking for all the secret stuff.

  4. Right, this arrived today (After I ordered it on tuesday, how awesome is that?) and I'm really enjoying it thus far.

I'm also dissapointed that I was promised a Armoured BatSuit Unlockable, yet don't seem to have received any kind of code or anything for it >_>

Don't worry, the Armoured BatSuit is unlocked after you beat the game. It can only be used in the challenge rooms though.

  5. Alright, the demo sealed it, this game is going to be one of the best games coming out this year. The combat is easy, yet satisfying. You feel like a badass zipping between enemies and countering with ease. The Silent Predator parts are really fun, stalking your prey, finding new ways to stop your prey, and fucking with them when they're paranoid is great. Those parts are pretty open ended because you have a ton of options to work with.

  7. Someone convince me it would be stupid to wait a year or so until I get a PS3 so I can play as the Joker. I mean man it looks so awesome, but Joker! :w00t:

It's basically 6 challenge maps where you beat up wave after wave of guards or try and take down armed guards with stealth, so if you're into that, then wait, otherwise don't. The main game is over 12 hours long if you just blow through the game and forget about the Riddler's riddles (there's over 200) and all the other hidden stuff.

  8. First 10 minutes of the game. (This video is a must see. The atmosphere in this game is off the charts)

Think of a great superhero game. No, not a good one — there are plenty of those around — but one as essential as, say, Grand Theft Auto IV or BioShock. You’re struggling, right? That’s because there aren’t any. Or rather there weren’t any until Batman: Arkham Asylum came along. After an extensive hands-on, exploring the majority of the enormous Arkham Island – we’ve come to the conclusion that not only is this Batman’s best game to date, but quite possibly the best superhero game ever made. A bold claim, but one we think you’ll agree with the moment you take your first tentative steps into the foreboding darkness of Gotham’s legendary loony bin.

  9. Rockstar today announced that The Ballad of Gay Tony, the next episodic content release for Grand Theft Auto IV, will launch worldwide on October 29 according to developer Rockstar.

The downloadable content will sell for $20. A retail disc that compiles both episodes, dubbed "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Episodes," will sell for $40, and will not require the original Grand Theft Auto IV to play.

GTA IV took itself too seriously for me. There was a lot of tongue in cheek humor, but not to the excess of previous installments.

Maybe "The Ballad" will bring some of that back.

I doubt it. LATD had the same mood and style of humor as GTA IV, so The Ballad will no doubt be the same.

  10. Jean and Gambit are 100% confirmed now and will be revealed at SDCC. Here is a picture from their booth.

EDIT: It's not confirmed yet, but it looks like Penance is above Juggernaut. If that is him, then we will have 3 characters revealed at SDCC (Jean, Gambit, and Penance).

  11. A few new infected will be shown at Comic-con. The first one is the Uncommon Common infected for Swamp Fever, Mud Men. They run real fast on all fours and because you're in a swamp, they are hard to spot.

The second one is a boss infected, the Spitter. It spits/tosses slime that will hurt anyone who steps in it.

  12. Gambit may be a playable character. A new cover with him on it was leaked. That leaves 4 more characters left. We know that there has to be at least 1 more Thunderbolts member.

Songbird looks to be aligned with the Pro side and Iron Fist looks to be aligned with the Anti. That makes 3 characters aligned to each side (Pro = Ironman, Mr. Fantastic, & Songbird. Anti = Cap America, Luke Cage, & Iron Fist.)
