    Fable II Premium Downloadable Content

Lionhead Studios and Microsoft Game Studios Announce First Fable II Premium Downloadable Content

Fable II adventures continue with downloadable content and free pack to release mid-December 2008

The epic journey begun in Fable II, the fastest selling RPG on Xbox 360, is not over. Starting mid-December 2008, fans will be summoned back into Albion's service with the release of the Knothole Island downloadable content pack. The remote island of Knothole is dying: its golden sands and lush vegetation are covered with snow, its people freezing, its treasures buried. Only a hero can face the trials of the three shrines to bring back the sunshine.

Following its release on Xbox 360 on Oct. 21, more than 1.5 million units of Fable II flew off store shelves worldwide in the first two weeks, making it the most popular game, across all platforms, in the U.S. in October. With the release of the first Fable II downloadable content, available exclusively on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 800 Microsoft Points, gamers will be invited to set sail for Knothole Island, where new quests, wondrous items and bizarre characters await.

Also in mid-December, fans everywhere will be able to enhance their Fable II experience with the release of a free Fable II downloadable pack exclusively on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. To engage in co-op gameplay with a player who has already downloaded the Knothole Island content, gamers will need to download the free pack. Both co-op players must download the Knothole Island (Premium) pack in order to play new quests and enjoy the complete Knothole Island co-op experience.

Free and premium downloaders will receive a show of gifts, including Knight's Boots, Assassins Gloves, a special Weight Loss Potion, collectible silver book and more. Players will also be able to check their standing in over 50 new Leaderboards on Lionhead.com.

As an additional treat for Fable II fans, Lionhead Studios and Microsoft Game Studios have created an all-new Albion dashboard theme in celebration of the launch of the New Xbox Experience. Fans who want to show off their Fable II pride can head over to Xbox LIVE Marketplace to download the Albion theme, available now for 250 Microsoft points.

Fable II is exclusively available on Xbox 360 and is rated “M” for Mature by the ESRB. Please visit: www.xbox.com/fable2 or www.lionhead.com/fable2 for more information.

  3. Do you get to fight at Stalingrad?

If you don't then they seriously missed a trick.

If I remember correctly (I've had the game for a couple of days now, and you can probably guess how) that yes, you play one mission in Stalingrad and it has a quite fun start.

So this second? CoD that starts in Stalingrad? Do get a gun right at the beginning or is it like "you take the rifle, I take the clip"-thingy again?

It's more of an Enemy At The Gates vibe.

To be more specific, it's a Sniper Mission.

  4. The reviews are all over the place, much like Assassin's Creed. Look at IGN; IGN US gave it the lowest score, rating the Lasting Appeal below average, whereas IGN UK & IGN AU gave it a much higher score then IGN US, rating the Lasting Appeal slightly above average. The main complaint is length; if you played through the demo multiple times and liked it, pick it up. If not, rent it. The single player is about 4 to 7 hours depending on how good you are.

  5. The demo was released last Thursday for those who pre-ordered from Steam and Gamestop. The demo will be available for everyone on Tuesday and yes it kicks ass. Even though the demo consist of 2 out of the 20 maps the game will ship with, it's really addictive. You never know when the AI Director will spawn a huge horde of infected or a boss infected, making every time you play it unique and very intense.

  6. If you kill the traders, do they regenerate, and do they act any differently towards you?

If you kill one of them the rest of them will hate your guts. At least that's what the guy at Cantebury Commons told me when I first got there. I assume he's not full of shit.

He is. I've killed all but one of the traders and he doesn't hate me.

  7. With the android quest, I got set upon immediately (almost) by a woman who told me to take a piece of equipment back to the doctor and tell him the android was dead. Didn't have to do anything other than that, but suppose I just got lucky.

In so far as finding the actual android, I didn't even know where to start.

The same thing happened to me. I received a few clues, then was approached by that woman.

To find the android, you need to find out who helped him. Once you do that, confront the doctor and he'll tell you who the android is. Confront the android and get the plasma rifle.

  8. How THE FUCK do you get further with the Android quest? I am totally stuck. :(

Try talking to random people and see if the Android subject comes up. The clues are spread throughout the Capital Wasteland, so don't just stick to Rivet City.

After gaining a few clues, you'll be presented with a way to finish the side quest. You'll get some caps and good karma. If you find out who the android is, you'll get a powerful plasma rifle.

  9. I just picked up Resistance 2 and played through the first two stages and I love it. The single player campaign feels somewhat different with the health regen and the weapon limitations, but overall I say it's an improvement over the original. The first two stages alone feel more epic then 90% of the original. The boss fight in the second stage is really cool.

  10. Super-Duper Mart quest spoilers.

My first time with this quest, all I did was sneak to a fridge, take the food, and leave. I never came close to any Raiders. During my second time, my Speech skill was high enough, so I lied about going there. It worked, I got the reward without taking any risk. I successfully lied my way through 5 out of the 9 quests you do for the Survival Wasteland Guide.
  11. In theory, iit shouldn't work, with it being first person, but I'm convinced. The demo is all kinds awesome and it's definately on my christmas list.

Agreed. The first person platforming is done so well. It works because it's momentum based platforming like Prince of Persia; you're always moving, jumping onto pipes and ladders or making huge jumps and landing on long platforms. The controls seem awkward when you hear about them, but when playing the game, they work flawlessly.
