  1. I should be getting it in on Saturday. The reviews for it have come to the same conclusion; the graphics, missions, and story are weak, but the gameplay and sheer carnage you can do saves it from being mediocre. Basically if you liked Crackdown, Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, or any of the Spiderman games, you're going to love this game.

Does anybody know if there will be a demo on either XBL or PSN?

    There will be no demo.

  2. I'm kinda hoping that in the final FMV for the evil path...

...that Kessler reveals to Cole his true intentions (the time travel, etc) and then calls him a dissapointment and a failure, or something that can rattle the Cole.

The endings are pretty much the same, except that Evil Cole doesn't care about Kessler's warnings or Empire City, he just cares about himself.

The difference between good and evil are small; like in that mission where you help that train full of hostages. Good Cole is congratulated while Evil Cole is pelted with rocks so he kills everyone.

The only major difference between the two paths are the 15 good/evil side missions and the upgrades.

  3. I just gave this a cupple of houres to finish the first island (including all sidequests, and at least a lot of the two colection games).

It´s defenetly fun, but the optics and the missions/oponents have been very similar by now, at first glance the second island looks like it is the same just with a new group of villans. The repetition kills you. If there are no changes comming soon i don´t think i will even play this a second time to see the other side of karma. (playing as a hero, wich is way to "easy" since you don´t have to sacrafice anything)

The main missions on the second and third island are good, but the side missions suck.

What's the total playtime for beating it might I ask?

15 to 20 hours for me. If you collect all the shards and dead drops and you complete all the side missions (I only did half of the 99 missions given), then your play time will be more of course.

Grand Theft Auto IV's second downloadable episode, The Ballad of Gay Tony injects Liberty City with an overdose of guns, glitz, and grime. As Luis Lopez, part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince (aka "Gay Tony"), players will struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends, and with the uncertainty about who is real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price.

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City delivers two games on one disc - the all-new episode The Ballad of Gay Tony and the first episode, The Lost and Damned - together on disc for the first time - for Xbox 360 for $39.99 and will not require a copy of the original Grand Theft Auto IV to play.

  5. As expected, a new countdown began. Now E, 3, & e are showing up on the site.

    Ok it's up... 120 hours :@

Which ends on the 26th (27th in Japan), and when this ends, a new countdown will begin. When that countdown ends, the final countdown begins, which ends on May 31st or June 1st.

  6. Thats complete and utter bollocks. Fuck you Atari! Fuck you Sony!!

I've been desperate to play this game since they anounced it ages ago and now thats to those fuckers I won;t get to unless i fork out £300 for a PS3. This has just made a shit day even shitter!

You mean exactly what Microsoft has done with a lot of games and download content?

Besides it's just going to end up like Ninja Gaiden anyway I think.

No-one should do it. It's just unfair on people, what makes it even worse is that it was only a month from release when they anounced it. It's retarded and its pissed me right off

To be honest it's about time Sony started doing it because they would fall behind otherwise plus did Ghostbusters not have a publisher already?

Atari picked it up months ago. Atari is still publishing it in North America, while Sony is publishing it in the PAL territories.

  7. Sony is publishing the game; x360 version delayed.

Sony Computer Entertainment will now be publishing Terminal Reality's Ghostbusters title in a surprise deal signed with Atari today, according to GamesIndustry.biz.

The game is set for a June 19 release alongside the Sony Pictures film, but only on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 2 platforms. They will have a period of exclusivity lasting several months until the PSP edition is launched.

It is unclear exactly what will happen to the Xbox 360 version of the game, although GamesIndustry.biz understands that Atari may look to publish it later on.

This will be the third publisher within a year for the Ghostbusters game. The former Vivendi title was dropped by Activision in the merger last summer, before subsequently being picked up by Atari.

EDIT: It looks like only the PAL version will be delayed. US 360 release date is still June 19.

  8. I thought that they were talking about the actual boss fight, where the Sentinel picks you up and you have to mash B to blow up his hands. Anyways, the casino stage is one of the stages I was talking about. That and the Weapon X Facility are two of the best stages in the game.

  9. I hope it's just a rumour :(

    It's true. :crying:

    Batman: Arkham Asylum Delayed

    The Batmobile has a flat.

    by Greg Miller

May 1, 2009 - The Internets are burning up with rumors about Batman: Arkham Asylum getting delayed until the fall and moments ago, Warner Bros. confirmed the bad news with IGN.

"Eidos Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment can today confirm that Batman: Arkham Asylum will be released at the end of summer 2009," a spokesperson said. "This additional time will allow us to ensure Batman: Arkham Asylum is of the highest quality for gamers."

As gamers will recall, Arkham Asylum was set to be released on June 23, 2009. Summer officially ends in September, so look for Batman's latest adventure -- a third-person action title pitting him and his gadgets against everyone in the nuthouse -- sometime around then.
