  1. For any Patton fan, Lovage with Dan the Automator, Prince Paul and Jennifer Charles is a must. Also feel free to check out Romances with Patton & Kaada. But Lovage is a must have.

As for the Melvins there's not really any collaboration stuff out there that I know of besides the stuff with Biafra and Lustmord but you should definately check out ex-Melvins bassist Joe Preston's Thrones side project.

  2. As a huge fan of the first Queens of the Stone Age album and a huge Brant Bjork, Desert Sessions and Ween fan I'd love to see this band.

Guitar/Vocals: Josh Homme (QOTSA, Desert Sessions, Ex-Kyuss)

Guitar: Dean Ween (Ween, Moistboyz, Desert Sessions)

Bass: Brian O'Connor (Eagles of Death Metal, Desert Sessions)

Drums: Brant Bjork (Mondo Generator, Desert Sessions, Ex-Kyuss, Ex-Fu Manchu)

  4. Mencia is a total hack. He hypes himself so much as an edgy, dangerous, pollitically incorrect comic and yet every little nugget of shit that comes out of his mouth is completely trite and unoriginal. Nicole Richie is a beaner? Oh Carlos be careful or I might spit out my milk. Lame fat and gay jokes? Oh my sides hurt. Arab parodies of 5 year old Snicker's and Chilli's commercials! Genius!

...In other words, fuck that no talent hack.

And while we're on the topic of Stella, it's the only thing I bother to turn my TV on for this summer. Low brow, absurdist comedy at it's best. Absolutely charming stuff.

Gotta love Comedy Central with it's nice blend of goodness (Stella) and complete shit (Mind of Mencia).

  5. I loved this movie and it had me and my friends acting like little Star Wars obsessed kids all over again on the way out of the theatre.

My only gripe was that they should have put in more Kashyyyk as that battle was shaping up to be fucking badass and then they just cut away.

  6. I was really hyped for this but I dunno, John Leguizamo and Dennis Hopper being prominently involved throws me off a bit. Plus the trailer was a huge letdown with all the new metal music and other silliness.

  7. Didn't care for most of the 2nd run of season 8 and I thought tonight's episode was really lackluster. The only part I laughed at was how fucked up Kyle's dad looked after getting his dolphin surgery. After tonight I don't plan on going out of my way to see any of the new ones.

  8. I got into them after obsessing over Kyuss and the Desert Sessions Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 and despite alot of the new stuff being pretty crap they remain one of my favorite bands. The first album and the splits they released with Kyuss and Beaver are amazing, all high quality. Rated R is decent, I don't care much for Songs For The Deaf. I don't really understand why Homme gets so much hate though. I guess it's just bitter Kyuss fans or people who think Homme is ruining "Stoner Rock". Plus Nick getting the boot from Queens never bothered me as QOTSA is Josh Homme (The splits and the first album are just Josh Homme and Alfredo Hernandez).

BTW, the new album, Lullabies To Paralyze really grew on me, there's alot of good stuff on there, although a couple of the songs are dreadful. I'll definately be buying it when it comes out.
