  1. Loved it. A few niggling problems, though: The hand part just screamed "Star Wars" to me. What the hell was "Sycorax Rock!" all about? Usually, Doctor Who comes up with an original reason for an invasion of Earth. The Sea Devils claiming the planet was theirs after they had been in hibernation for thousands of years, the Nestene Consciousness wanting to harvest the planet to, basically, eat it, the Slitheen wanting to reduce the Earth to molten slack and sell it as fuel...a regular "we want the Earth" invasion didn't really cut it, especially as the Daleks had literally just done it in The Parting of the Ways. In the first part, the evil Santa dudes attacked Rose, who said they were out to get the Doctor. Then, somebody plants a Christmas tree in the Tyler's living room to kill the Doctor. Then, nothing is made of this, and the Sycorax do not recognize the Doctor, Rose, or the TARDIS, making half an hour of buildup add up to nothing. The Tenth Doctor supposedly brings down Harriet Jones' government by questioning her health. But the Ninth Doctor says in World War Three Jones was elected for three successive terms and built "Britain's Golden Age." I doubt a "Golden Age" can last the nine months between World War Three and The Christmas Invasion... As for Series Two: I love seeing the Face of Boe, Sarah Jane and K9 back. Anthony Head's character looks cool. Despite the Cybermen looking mediocre, their episodes look intriguing. The Doctor has a Scottish accent in one of the clips - what the hell is that all about? Rose kisses the Doctor in one of the clips. Me no likey.
  2. Now that the PESFan option files are down, is there a site anywhere with formulas for kits etc?
  3. Yeah, we got to miss lessons and all watch the games together in the assembly hall. Great atmosphere.
  4. Simple enough. Personally, I like Sky One and E4. Beautiful stuff on there. Add some Doctor Who and WWE and I could watch those two all my life.
  5. Raxicoricofallapatorians are peaceful people. The Slitheen family are the "shame" of Raxicoricofallapatorias. So perhaps not their race, but their great-great grandfather and co., perhaps? Just as long as they don't fart.
  6. I'll take Daleks, Cybermen and Autons over the Slitheen, or the "Cat Women" we're supposed to be getting this year, anyday.
  7. What's the best team to play Master League with? I tried with AC Milan with some success, but I got real frustrated with their ancient squad. I'm on 3*.
  8. This game is so freaking hard. I tried a World Cup with England but got the same 0-0 result against Brazil, Venezuela and Ivory Coast, so I decided to just play a load of friendlies to get to grips with the game. I'm playing as teams like Arsenal, Barcelona, Juventus, Real Madrid against the likes of Cadiz, Porto, Chievo, Rangers, etc...I scrape a one-goal victory if I'm lucky. After reading this, I may try a harder difficulty.
  9. You can, my friend has made a Euro All-Stars team using base copies and leaving the other teams intact. The reason I don't want to edit over PES and WEU is because I've already edited over all of one of those teams, and you can't do base copy when editing an existing player.
  10. When I create an unregistered player, I try to register him with a team, but the unregistered players never come up. How do I do this?
  11. A friend of mine went, she absolutely creamed herself upon getting a CKY plectrum.
  12. The books are fantastic reading, and are suitably different from the films to warrent new interest, if you ask me. The chameleon dinosaurs you mentioned were Carnotaurs, but I think Crichton took a bit of creative liscence on that one.
  13. Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets had the same editor, they changed for Prisoner of Azkaban, and have changed directors again for Goblet of Fire.
  14. Seriously, how awesome are these films? I bought the Ultimate Collection a couple of days ago and have yet to watch the Extra Features disc, but after watching the Trilogy I just had to rant on about how fantabulous these movies are. For me, the original is the best. All of the characters were memorable, especially Muldoon and Malcolm, and even the dodgy sub-plot (man hates kids, man saves kids from dinosaurs, man loves kids) doesn't hurt it. The Lost World was a disappointment. I felt Malcolm's character had changed too much (his daughter needn't have been involved), and the T-Rex running rampant through San Diego, while exciting to watch, just stretched realism too far. Jurassic Park III (could they not have thought of a better title?) for me, is probably the second best of the trilogy. Again, children in peril are involved, but this time, the kid is vital to the story, and isn't as annoying which the other three children to feature in the trilogy are. The super-duper intelligent Velociraptor were slightly unbelievable at times - I can handle them setting a trap to catch extra prey, but the 'raptor acting as if he's a dead specimen in a tank seems a bit silly to me. And, how did Ellie get hold of the army and navy, and manage to convince them that there were actually people in Isla Sorna? Fishy, but still, I rate this as better than the Lost World. Can't wait to watch the Special Features disc later on...man, I love dinosaurs. Share your opinions on these awesome-tastic movies.
  15. *creams pants* Philosopher's Stone was shit, Chamber of Secrets was OK, Prisoner of Azkaban was good, and now Goblet of Fire looks awesome. Can't wait. "Mr. Weasley, place your right hand on my waist." "...Where?" Ohhh yes.
  16. InMe, Jeff Buckley and Limp Bizkit. I used to love Limp Bizkit back when I was about ten, then realized they were actually not all that great, then I heard Build A Bridge, and bought the latest album. Which is good.
  17. The least glamorous Champions League group ever: Austria Vienna Bournemouth Porto Wisla Krakov Oh well. Being the most awesome manager in the world, me and my Cherries side will drift through it. And we're joint-top of the league with Chelsea, so I'm happy. One question, though: I'm seriously lacking good backup forwards, having been forced to sell Craig Bellamy, Portillo and Joseph Desire-Job (damn Minimum Fee Release Clauses.). I've signed some German U21 International that I can't remember the name of, and a youngster called Andy Scott from Brighton who can play anywhere, but neither are really good enough for an extended run in the first team should Adrian Mutu or Alan Connell get injured. So, who's still good and cheap(ish) by 2008/9?
  18. R.A.B. is Regulus Arcturus Black. In the next book, I believe Wormtail will be vital in Voldemort's downfall - remember in Prisoner of Azkaban when Dumbledore said the time would come when Harry would be "glad he saved Wormtail's life?" Wormtail is indebted to Harry, and I'm thinking he will sacrifice his own life to save Harry's, or something like that. Only two years to wait for Book 7.
  19. Do you know, I don't think player's stats do go up...further exemplifying how shit FIFA 2005 is. They don't go up on the pitch either. Spoons. Pro Evo 4 > FIFA 05
