My brother is into actiony mil-stuff, actiony spy-stuff, and all the other hoo-hah actiony stuff. And he got through it in a day, which for him is a glowing reccomendation of awesome.

So i'll probably watch it at some point in the next 24 months as I try to get through my ungodly backlog of TV Shows.

How is it? I've seen the films and I've read some of the books. Is there an actual plot or is it just bad guy of the week and formulaic?

Nah not at all, it's one long story that evolves along the way. Couple of side plots, things like that, but the season is one long 'quest'. Formulaic it is not, and it really works at helping you understand where 'bad guys' come from.

I posted in the general thread that I also enjoyed it quite a bit. It wasn't the rah rah America thing it easily could have been, which was nice. Understanding that they didn't need more than 8 episodes is also nice. It seems rarer and rarer that series aren't bloated with some sort of filler.

Eight episodes is the perfect length. I love it. It's like Kanye's seven track album theory.
