Locked in a Room: An EWB Game

Recommended Posts

So this is a "game" I started working on when I saw a Reddit poster say that school days were the best time to make close friends simply because you're locked in a room together for hours and have no real choice but to try and get along even if it's just to kill off the mind numbing boredom. Online interaction, even on a populated forum tends to have a lot of people saying a thing and leaving or people just interacting with a select few because those are either the people they have grown used to or because they just happen to hang out in the same one or two subsections.

The idea of this game is that the people who sign up are split off into pairs randomly and one at a time each pair gets the room(the thread) to themselves. Once in the room each person has 4 questions to ask before they're let out and the next pair are swapped in.

The questions can be anything you want(Within reason, don't be creepy or anything and if someone is uncomfortable with your question just change it) but the goal is to get to know your partner better and to let others know you both better through your round so you shouldn't be shooting for quick little answers, as there's no prize to win or finish line to cross. Another thing to keep in mind along those same lines is a question doesn't have to necessarily follow an answer right away. A pair has no time limit so ideally you should at least try to make conversation out of an answer before launching into a new question of your own.

If you're interested then just reply and you'll be put on the list of names to shuffle and pair. If there's enough people after a few days I'll get this rolling.

Is there like a mystery we are trying to solve or we're just trying to get to know someone?

It's purely a thing to get to know someone you may not interact with much given your own choices. It's more ofan exercise than a game really.
