Virtual Machine advice

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here we go, mods feel free to move this if not.

I am trying to run some old games on my modern system. Namely MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries and maybe Sim Tower for nostalgia and maybe to do some let's plays. The Windows release of Mercs has a feature that is NOT in the DOS release called Dynamic Salvage. It would make for more fun game play imo and a more intriguing let's play.

My specs
AMD Ryzen 7 1700
Summit Ridge 14nm Technology

32.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1064MHz
ASRock AB350M Pro4 (AM4)

Acer VG240Y (1920x1080@75Hz)
8176MB ATI AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT (MSI)

Any tips? Should I use a VM for 95, 98SE or something else?

98 would be a better choice than 95. Functionally speaking if it can run on 95 it can run on 98. XP might be worth a look as well if you tweak it right. I don't seem to recall having too many issues with XP when it came to older games.

For SimTower have you tried Project Highrise?
