I think my PS2 is hosed

Okay, my PS2 has been acting wierd lately, for the past couple weeks, my PS2 has been acting wierd. When I first put Madden into the system, it gives me a disc read error, so then I put in the laser disc cleaner, then it works fine, although throughout the game, my ps2 made wierd noises like the game was being grinded up inside there. Today, I get another disc read error so I just put the laser disc cleaner back in the system, and now it's giving me a disc read error for that.

I guess my PS2 is hosed, but where should I go to get it looked at and how much would it cost? I'm running low on cash, and from whatever cash I have, I was going to use it to by MVP 05.

Any help is appreciated.

Alternatively, if you want to fix it yourself, there are quite a few guides floating about the internet on how to disassemble your PS2, clean it, and fix the DRE. Every time I've gotten the DREs, I've just referred to an old techtv.com DRE fix FAQ and it's worked every time so far (and I've done it 3-4 times)

Yeah, don't go fucking with it cause you'll wind up making it worse and then Sony won't fix it for free. Shipping ain't too bad either, I think I paid $30 and they sent me a completely refurbished system along with a brand new dual shock.
