The ROH Newswire (Between March 14 and March 31)

-The final two participants have been signed for the Best Of American Super Juniors tournament on 4/2 in Asbury Park, NJ at the legendary Asbury Park Convention Center. The final two participants are Alex Shelley and Dragon Soldier B. We will have the first round matches and brackets in an upcoming Newswire at ROHwrestling.com. The field of eight also includes James Gibson, Bryan Danielson, the new Black Tiger, Jay Lethal, Roderick Strong and Spanky.

-Stevie Richards has yet to tell anyone what his personal vendetta with CM Punk is. All that we know is that Richards told his teammates Spanky and James Gibson that he received a call from an old friend of his a while back, and that he's been sitting on his hands since then, waiting for the chance to get at Punk. Richards also told them that when he gets that chance, it'll be the last time anyone sees Punk in Ring of Honor. Stevie will get his opportunity on 5/14 in Chicago Ridge, but what does he have in store for CM Punk?

-We are proud to announce a major full-time return to Ring of Honor for one of the wrestling world's brightest young stars, as "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles returns to ROH full time on 5/13 and 5/14. The one downside to the return of Styles is that the former Pure Wrestling Champion is under the contractual control of Prince Nana and Jimmy Rave. What could these two dastardly men possibly have planned for AJ? Check in upcoming newswires for information on AJ's opponent(s) for the May doubleshot weekend.

-Despite the warning from Homicide at the end of the night on 3/12, an ROH wrestler has decided to "step in his way" and see if he really is in kill mode. ROH officials were hard-pressed not to book this match, as the man requesting it had just cause in his defense, and would not be turned away. So on 5/13, in Dayton, despite the Best of Five series being complete...Homicide will go one on one, inside of the Steel Cage...with Bryan Danielson! The American Dragon brought up the constant interference of Smokes and the Rottweillers as his arguement to get the match, and because of that, ROH officials have added two stipulations to this match. The first of which states that should anyone enter the cage, other than these two men and a referee, that person will be fired on the spot. The second stipulation states that whoever comes out of the Cage as the victor, will receive a shot at any ROH Title they choose to fight for. This stipulation was added only because both men are currently on the title petitions list, and neither man has an upcoming chance to compete for a title. This will fill that void for both men, and a loss in this match will also send the loser off of the petitions list.

-ROH officials have been hard at work trying to figure out just who it was that attacked Bryan Danielson with the Baseball Bat on 3/12, but have so far not been able to finger a suspect. Both of Homicide's Rottweiller teammates have told officials that they were not responsible, with Romero harshly stating that he would never stoop so low, and that if he were to find out that Reyes were lying to him, he'd have to end their partnership.

-After being pinned last weekend, Oman Turtoga has demanded that Prince Nana cease paying him until he can pick up a major victory in Ring of Honor. Because of this, Turtoga has lined up a singles match against one half of the ROH Tag Team Champions, Alex Shelley on 4/16. A win in this match could set up a shot at the Tag Team belts for The Embassy.

-Speaking of the ROH Tag Team Titles, the team of Samoa Joe and Jay Lethal will get their well-deserved shot at the straps on 5/7 when ROH debuts in Manhattan. With the addition of this tag team match, the Manhattan debut will now see all three ROH Titles being defended.

-CM Punk was irate backstage after Steve Corino just walked out on him during their tag team match against Samoa Joe and Jay Lethal on 3/12. Punk wants to get his hands on Corino, but with Corino not booked for any future shows, and unavailable for comment, ROH officials are unsure of when, and even if, they can get Corino to face Punk one on one. Worse even than that, is the fact that no one, except Corino himself, seems to know why he just up and left his partner to face a former World Champion and his protoge.

-The last four names have been finalized for the Best of the American Super Juniors tournament, as Roderick Strong earned his spot with a win over Azrieal last weekend, and the other three spots will be filled by Spanky, ROH Tag Champion Alex Shelley and the mysterious Dragon Soldier B. This one looks to be one of the best eight-man tournament groups in recent memory.

-Allison Danger was up to her old tricks again on 3/12, as the moment she was turned away by the ROH Tag Team Champions, she made reference to "Chris" and said that they would pay for the way they've been treating her. No one is sure what she means, but the general consensus in the back is that Allison is delusional, and that her threats are seemingly empty at this point in time.

-With our return to Dorchester fast approaching, another match has been signed, as Azrieal will try to even up the score with Roderick Strong when he teams with partner Dixie to face Generation Next of Strong and Jack Evans. With both Strong and Evans coming off of big wins on 3/12, and both men playing major roles on 4/2, you can bet that GenNext will be coming in strong with momentum.

-With Mick Foley scheduled to return on 4/2, the Hardcore Legend has requested the time to confront Samoa Joe in the ring, and it has been granted by ROH officials...will Foley and Joe finally collide in the ring?

-There has been a three team Scramble match booked to round out the card for the Best of the American Super Juniors tournament, as Camp Cornette will be represented by Kevin Steen and Joey Matthews against the Ring Crew Express, as well as the team of Azrieal and Dixie, who are looking to pick up some momentum heading into their match with Generation Next on 4/16.

-The Best of the American Super Juniors tournament has been given brackets based on affiliation. New Japan Pro Wrestling booked the first round to feature four matches that will pit NJPW regulars against non-NJPW workers. The first round looks like this:

James Gibson Vs Roderick Strong

Bryan Danielson Vs Alex Shelley

Black Tiger IV Vs Spanky

Dragon Soldier B Vs Jay Lethal

-Chad Collyer will make his return to ROH after a long abscence on May 14, when he becomes the second opponent for B-Boy on the May Double Shot weekend.

-ROH officials have decided that because New Japan Pro Wrestling is in charge of booking the Best of the American Super Juniors tournament, the Title Petitions will not be affected at all. Should something happen in the tournament that needs resolving, ROH will book the matches from that point forward.

-CM Punk would love to pick up a win in his upcoming tag team match against Austin Aries and Jack Evans, especially with his World Title match just two weeks afterwards. Evans will also be looking to score the pinfall here, as a second straight high profile win like this could really boost him on the Title Petitions board.

-Bobby Heenan contacted ROH officials earlier today, and informed them that he had his team picked, and that they were a "throwback" to the greats he once managed, but that they were both up and coming stars in the business. No word yet on who they are, but if they're good enough for The Brain, then they'll definately be a challenge for Camp Cornette on 4/16.

-Vordell Walker eagerly anticipates his return to the ring, as he will finally make his ROH debut on 4/16 in Dorchester. Walker's opponent for the show is as of yet unknown, but The Shooter has stated that he doesn't care who it is, as long as he gets to showcase his abilities to the ROH fans.

OOC: I've decided to change the format of the newswire...and it will probably continue to gradually change until I settle on something that I can consistently do.
