The crowd is going wild as Batista has just retained his world heavyweight championship belt against John Bradshaw Layfield, and we are preparing to see the main event, as Shawn Michaels takes on the immortal Hulk Hogan.  All of a sudden, the lights go out, glitters begins dropping and pinks lights are splattered all over the arena.  The familiar theme song begins, and Bret The Hitman Hart makes his way out to a HUGE standing ovation by the crowd, who can't stop chanting his name.  He walks down to the ring, slowly slides in and grabs a microphone, while listening to the incredible greeting he's getting from the wwe fans.

Bret Hart: It's strange the way things go sometimes.  If someone were to say "hey Bret, what are the chances of you going back to the wwe?" just a few months ago, I would've laughed them off and walked on like I have been for the past seven to eight years.  Vincent Kennedy Mcmahon is NOT someone that I was so pleased to trust again, to be honest I was a bit reluctant to make my way out here tonight.. But the real reason why I decided to do this thing, is because I think someone in the back owes me an apology.  So c'mon out here, Michaels.

The fans begin chanting "HBK! HBK!" and Michaels makes his way out to the ramp followed by ten security police officers behind him.  He slides into the ring reluctantly with the cops standing in front of him and begins speaking.

Shawn Michaels: The Heart Break Kid doesn't owe YOU an apology, YOU owe HBK an apology, pal.  For all these years, I've been hearing nothing but "why did you screw Bret Hart? Why, Shawn, why?" and it just ain't my fault, Bret.. It's YOUR fault.  You see, Mr. Mcmahon and I didn't bring you back here so that you could make your little retirement speech and move on, feeling better about yourself.  We brought you here so that we could finally tell ya' that we've proud of what we did.. FOR EACH AND EVERY DAY OF OUR LIVES.  You and I will have plenty to talk tomorrow night on raw.  As of right now, I want you to take a seat right next to Lillian Garcia, and enjoy the show.

The police escorts Bret Hart to ringside, as he sits and waits while Hogan makes his way out to the ring to another huge ovation from the crowd, who can't get enough of this show.

Hulk Hogan vs. Shawn Michaels

The match begins with Hulk Hogan giving the fans his usual taunts and getting some cheap pops, but Michaels interrupting him with a Lou Thesz press and punching the hell out of him on the ground.  HBK looks back and forth between Hogan and Hart, laughing off as he dominates the match against the immortal one.  He gets Hogan up by the few hairs he has left on the back of his head and tries to nail him with a right hand, but Hogan blocks it and nails Michaels with a right hand of his own.  He then hits him again, and again, and again, irish whipping him across the ring and going for a big boot which Michaels ducks out of it and gets back up to his feet right behind Hogan.  He waits for Hogan to turn around and nails him right over the head with an early Sweet Chin Music.  Michaels covers 1...2..kick out! Hogan unbelievably kicked out of the Sweet Chin Music! HBK can't believe it.  He goes out to the apron and climbs up to the top rope, maybe looking to hit an elbow drop, but Hogan gets back up to his feet and grabs HBK off the turnbuckle, throwing him right onto the mat.  He then body slams him back on the ground and goes for a cover 1...2.kick out! Hogan continues to dominate this match from that point on.  He grabs Michaels up by his hair and irish whips him across the ring, squashing him in the corner with a turnbuckle clotheline.  He then does the same to the other turnbuckle, but this time as he went for the clotheline, Michaels nailed him right in the face with a big boot.  HBK climbs up to the second rope and jumps off, trying to hit Hogan over the head with a double axe handle, but getting caught by a big right hand that throws him down to the mat.    Michaels gets right back up but gets nailed by another right hand, and yet another, and another.  Hogan irish whips HBK across the ring and catches him on the rebound with a big boot! He's now Hulking up, and the crowd is loving it.  All of a sudden, we see Mr. Mcmahon and a bunch of road agents and backstage workers prancing their way down to ringside.  Hogan notices the situation and looks back at Hart, realizing that something is going to go wrong here.  He leans over the ropes and screams, while Michaels gets right back up to his feet miraculously and gives Hogan a superkick right on the back of the head, which pushes Hogan right into Jack Doan.  Hogan falls to his knees, and Michaels slowly walks up to his legs.  He pushes him down and locks in the sharpshooter, looking back at Bret Hart with a sadistic smile on his face.  Hart sees it all coming, just a few second later he hears those painful words "RING THE BELL!" and there he was with another chance to become a cult hero.  Hart grabs the ring bell which he was seated next to, and slides into the ring with it, nailing Michaels over the head and busting him wide open.  Security tries to jump Hart, who pushes Hogan out of the ring with him and begins walking to the back area, followed by security and the crew.  Despite the fact that Hogan and Hart never saw eye to eye, this is something that they surely won't forget.  Mcmahon and Michaels stand near the announcers table with two big worried expressions on their faces, while Hart and Hogan continue walking up and cursing all their way to the parking lot.  Summerslam goes off the air in a hurry.

Contract Disputes; Rising Stars

There have apparently been many disputes over some workers' contracts in the past few days.  Some superstars like Alex Shelley, D'Lo Brown, Mike Awesome, and CM Punk were attempted to be signed by the Harts on written contracts, but only accepted a verbal agreement that still allowed them to work in either bigger promotions or tour in japan.  Another huge contracts dispute came with The Macho Man, Randy Savage.  Savage apparently requested a contract for over 250 thousand dollars per month, and we're still unsure whether or not Bret Hart will indeed sign Savage or pass up on the opportunity to have a former wcw world heavyweight champion headline some of his shows.  There has also been some controversy over some members of the Hart Foundation.  Harry Smith and Michael Hart have only agreed to open contracts due to their touring commitments, which allows for bigger companies to maybe take a stab at them once they become established names in the business, and the last thing Bret Hart wants for his company is Vince Mcmahon stealing his talent.

One of the main strengths of this company and the Hart Family as a whole is the unbelievable amount of talent that comes out of the Dungeon.  Names like Chris Benoit and Lance Storm only foreshadow a prospering future for young stars joining up the business.  Alex Shelley, Austin Aries, CM Punk, Colt Cabana, Spanky, and Delirious among others should be honored to work with The Hart family and will certainly learn from their experiences with the most successful family in professional wrestling history.  Hart has already given a lot of young light weights some big shots to impress him on the first edition of Revolution Wrestling: Legends, the weekly pay per view event, and if they do indeed impress him enough, their futures will surely be promising.  The Harts have always been known to create great talented superstars out of young kids with potential, and that will surely be a strength that they will depend on for the future of this company.

Revolution Wrestling: Legends - Friday, September 02, 2005

Denver, Colorado

Here we go.  The lights are turned on and the cameras are rolling, and Revolution Wrestling: Legends is under way and the fans are on their feet.  The show kicks off with a pyro show at the top of the ramp created by some of the finest indy backstage crews in the nation hired by Bret Hart, as Don Callis gives everyone a typical "new company, new era" speech and the first two competitors make their way out to the ring.

Singles Match: Austin Aries vs. Teddy Hart

Match Highlights:

- Just as the match had begun, Teddy Hart was able to gain an early advantage as he entered the ring and ducked an Austin Aries clotheline attempt, nailing him right over the back of the head with a superkick.

- Mid way into the bout, Austin Aries grabbed Teddy Hart by his neck and gave him a vicious reverse neckbreaker, then jumping up to the top rope and nailing a moonsault for the closest pin attempt of the match.

- Just before the big finish, Aries was placed on the top rope by Teddy Hart, who was obviously looking for a superplex or some sort of similar manover.  Aries was able to turn the momentum around by suddenly grabbing Hart by his neck and jumping off, nailing a Tornado DDT for another close two count.

The Finish:

Hart nails Aries with an enzuiguiri and goes for the cover but only gets a quick two count.  He then picks him back up by his hair and irish whips him across the ring, bending over and waiting for Aries to come back, but getting kicked right on the shoulder as he does.  Aries runs back against the ropes and Teddy Hart goes for a clotheline, but Austin Aries grabs it with his own arms and grabs the other arm with his legs, going for some sort of pin manover on the way down 1...2...kick out! Both men are back up to their feet and Aries kicks Hart right in the gut, picking him up for some kind of powerbomb but getting it reversed into a hurrincanrana that sends Aries flying to the outside of the ring.  Hart notices the situation and runs to the opposite ropes, catapulting himself over and on top of Austin Aries with a somersault plancho.  Hart throws Aries back into the ring by his hair and climbs up to the apron, going all the way up top to the third rope.  He jumps off for some kind of shooting star press, but Aries moves out of the way.  He then notices that Hart is out cold and quickly runs over there, locking in the Rings Of Saturn submission manover.  Hart tries to hold on but ends up tapping out after a great bout.

Winner: Austin Aries

Overall Rating: 77%

The lights suddenly turn pink, the arena fills with joy and Bret The Hitman Hart makes his way out of the black curtain and onto the entrance ramp with a microphone in his hand.  He sports around his street attire, jeans and a t-shirt, and slides into the ring, listening to the chants the crowd is giving him.

Bret Hart: Now there's something that's been bothering a few of us backstage in the past few weeks and I think we all know what I'm talking about.

The fans now begin chanting "HOGAN! HOGAN! HOGAN!" interrupting Hart for a few seconds before he could continue on with his speech.

Bret Hart: I gave Mr. Vincent Kennedy Mcmahon the benefit of the doubt and he proved that he's just as much of an asshole as he was back in 98.

Hart's statement makes the crowd go absolutely insane.

Bret Hart: Vince wasn't pleased with screwing me in my own country, in montreal, oh no.  He had to take it even further by bringing me to ringside just as he planned to screw another superstar like the legendary Hulk Hogan.  This speech isn't my duty, I'm not the one who's just been screwed by a Mcmahon.  Without further a-do, I'd like to bring out here the man that indeed did get screwed at summerslam.. The Immortal, Hulk Hogan.

Real American plays over the PA and it makes the fans go wild, never before had they had such an experience.  Hogan walks out to the entrance ramp and begins doing his trademark taunts around the ringside are for a while, until entering the ring and shaking Bret Hart's hand.  He then gets serious about his speech and continues on.

Hulk Hogan: LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING BROTHERS.. What Vincent Kennedy Mcmahon did to me and this dude right here is totally unacceptable! Multi-time wwf champions, legends, hall of famers, how can he treat us that way? Now I know the way Mcmahon acts, brother, I ain't a new kid on the block, but THIS.. It's beyond him.  I'm ready to make my statement, DUDES! Professional Wrestling should be about the wrestlers, not the owners, and I think this man right here is the man that understands just that.  I respect Bret "The Hitman" Hart, brother, as a wrestler.. and as an owner.  I am glad to be working for you, and despite the fact that we haven't really been the best of friends through the last couple of years, I'm willing to bury the hatchet and make Revolution Wrestling my last run, brother.  What d'ya say?

Hogan extends his right hand over to Bret, who's got both of his hands grabbing his waist.  He then reluctantly puts his hand out and shakes Hogan's hand, smiling and keeping his tight grip on, as he grabs the microphone again and looks back at the crowd.

Bret Hart: A true legend.. Hulk Hogan, ladies and gentlemen.

Real American plays again over the PA, as Hart and Hogan make their way to the back together doing some of Hogan's old trademarks along the way.

The Elite Tournament: D'Lo Brown vs. Pierre Carl Oulette vs. Marcus Bagwell

Match Highlights:

- Oulette sat out most of the early going of the match, just playing possum in a corner while D'Lo and Bagwell battled it out in the middle of the ring.  D'Lo was able to surprise Bagwell with some sort of spinebuster type manover that looked like it might've been the win, but Oulette was able to stop the three count.

- A few minutes later, Oulette was able to knock D'Lo to the ground with a powerbomb, taking advantage of the matchup as Bagwell was laid out on the outside.  Oulette jumps up to the second rope and nails D'Lo with La Cannoball, covering him for a VERY close two count.  Bagwell entered the ring by surprise and grabbed Oulette from behind, going for a rollup but also getting a two count.

- 3/4 into the bout, and there's still no clear winner in this one.  It seems as if Bagwell has the match in his pocket.  He has Oulette grabbed by the neck in the corner setting him up for the Buff Blockbuster, which he nails to perfection.  Bagwell goes for the cover, but notices that D'Lo Brown is jumping off the opposite turnbuckle with a Low Down attempt.  Bagwell moves out of the way and D'Lo nails it on Oulette, covering 1...2...Bagwell pulls D'Lo off and gets on top of Oulette for a cover of his own 1...2...D'Lo now pulls Bagwell off and the two begin brawling, leaving Oulette out of the picture.

The Finish:

Oulette is still recovering on the other side of the ring, while D'Lo and Bagwell almost put the match under wraps a few times, but are unable to.  D'Lo sets Bagwell up on the second rope and jumps up there with him, but Bagwell grabs him by his neck and the fans are going wild, we might have our first qualifier out of the way with Bagwell winning it.  Bagwell nails the Buff Blockbuster and laughs as he gets back up to his feet.  Pierre Carl Oulette gets right back up to his feet as well from behind, and grabs Bagwell his neck and tights, throwing him to the outside of the ring in a hurry.  He then covers D'Lo Brown for the 1...2...3! Oulette slides out of the ring, with Bagwell sitting at ringside angry as ever, Oulette is our first qualified man for the next round.

Winner: Pierre Carl Oulette

The cameras take us backstage where recently fired wwe diva, Joy Giovanni, is standing by with Glen Gilberti.

Glen Gilberti: Don't worry about asking me any questions, Joy, the only reason question is do you wanna' party with the big Glen Gilberti tonight after the pay per view, huh?

Joy blushes.

Glen Gilberti: Haha, you know you want some.. But anyway, what I'm here to talk about is bigger than this little relationship we have going, heck it's even bigger than.. You know what I'm talking about.

The crowd gives Gilberti a small laugh.

Glen Gilberti: Well here I am, in the greatest shape of my life, not that I was ever in bad shape or anything, but I'm just in great shape right now and here I am without a match.  Do you know how that feels, Joy? Well, I'm sure you know how it feels not to have a match, but I mean.. I'm talented, I'm charismatic, AND I don't have a match, what the hell is up with that?

Joy Giovanni: Maybe you should just try to prove yourself a little more.

Glen Gilberti: I think I've proven myself enough, ya' know what I'm sayin'? I'm challengin' anybody here to a match next week, one on one with tha' best wrestler in Revolution Wrestling, and if I lose.. I QUIT!

Gilberti walks off.

Tag Team Match: The Nasty Boyz vs. The New Jersey Triad

Match Highlights:

- Kanyon and Bigelow got a huge reaction as this was their first match back in a while.  DDP served as a distraction at ringside, as Kanyon and Bigelow double teamed Jerry Sags and cornered him, unabling him to make a tag.  Bigelow then attempted the big splash from the top rope, but Sags moved out of the way and tagged in Brian Knobs.  Knobs brawled with the two men for a few seconds, throwing Bigelow to the outside and almost pinning Kanyon with a powerslam.

- Mid way into the match, Kanyon was able to turn the momentum around with a low blow, which was undetected by the referee because of DDP's distraction up on the apron.  Bigelow went for another big splash and hit it this time, covering for the 1...2...Knobs pulls Bigelow off of his partner and gets thrown out of the ring by the referee.

- We're being set up for the big finish here after a pretty good tag team bout.  Brian Knobs and Jerry Sags are trying to maintain control of the bout and they've got the support of the fans behind them.  They nail Bigelow down with a double clotheline, then throw Kanyon off the apron, going for a cover 1...2...kick out! Knobs rung to the ropes and nails Bigelow with a big splash.  Sags does the same from the opposite ropes and both men cover Bigelow at the same time 1...2...kick out! Unbelievable kick out by Bigelow.

The Finish:

Now Kanyon is right back into the ring.  He waits for the Nasty Boyz to get back up to their feet and goes for a clotheline, nailing Jim Mollineaux as the Nasty Boyz ducked it.  They then pick Kanyon up and nail him down with a double spinebuster, but the referee is unable to make the count.  Both men get back up and check on the referee.  DDP runs into the ring with a steel chain and punches Jerry Sags right over the head with it, sending him splashing into the ground.  Brian Knobs turns around and notices the situation, but gets caught by a Diamond Cutter! DDP puts his hands together in the air as the fans cheer.  He grabs Kanyon and puts him on top of Brian Knobs.  Mollineaux slowly picks himself back up and walks over to the scene, counting 1...2...3! The New Jersey Triad prevails.

Winner: The New Jersey Triad

Fatal Four Way Light Heavyweight Title Match: Alex Shelley vs. CIMA vs. James Gibson vs. Spanky

Match Highlights:

- The first elimination comes as CIMA is destroying Alex Shelley and James Gibson, while Spanky was thrown to the outside moments before.  CIMA showed his dominance and quickly got over with the fans as the only japanese wrestler in the matchup.  He gives Shelley an enzuiguiri and ducks a clotheline attempt from Gibson, throwing him down to the mat with a hurricanrana.  He gets right back up to his feet and jumps in the air, celebrating, but as he turns around, he gets caught by a Sliced Bread #2 by Spanky for the three count.

- A few minutes later, Spanky found an opening as Gibson and Shelley were on the outside recovering from a big hit.  He runs to the opposite ropes and jumps out, nailing both of them with a sumersault plancho type manover.  He then picks them both up to their feet and throws each one of them into the ring.  Spanky goes up to the top rope and tries to nail both men with a moonsault, but misses and falls flat on his face.

- A few minutes later, the next elimination came, as Gibson and Spanky were battling it out in the middle of the ring, escaping each other's manovers every time.  Gibson then is able to nail Spanky over the head with a spinning heel kick, and then a standing moonsault.  Shelley runs back into the ring and begins brawling with Gibson, but gets thrown back to the outside.  Spanky is back to his feet behind Gibson, who walks back there and kicks him in the gut, nailing him down to the mat with a double arm powerbomb for a three count.

The Finish:

Shelley runs right back into the ring and gets kicked in the gut as well, and set up for the double arm powerbomb, but he slips out of the way and gives Gibson an enzuiguiri.  He then grabs Gibson up and scoop slams him down to the mat, running to the ropes and dropping a leg drop on him for a close two count.  A few seconds later, Gibson tries to take advantage again with a clotheline, but Shelley ducks it and superkicks his opponent right on the back of the head! Shelley covers 1...2...shoulder up! Shelley gets Gibson back up to his feet and begins nailing him with some series of rights and lefts, but gets reversed as Gibson runs to the ropes, but gets caught on the way back by Alex Shelley with a Shellshock straight out of nowhere! Gibson is down and Shelley makes the cover 1...2...3! Alex Shelley grabs his light heavyweight title and walks to the backstage area celebrating.

Winner and new light heavyweight champion: Alex Shelley

After a commercial break, we're back on the air with Simon Diamond sitting on a chair in the middle of the ring.  There is a door set up with three steps at the end of the entrance ramp, leaving the fans a bit perplexed.

Simon Diamond: This isn't Piper's Pit, this isn't the highlight reel, it's not even Carlito's Cabana.. This is a new concept, folks!I like to call this little expirement "Simon Says" and as bland as the name sounds, I want you all to trust me that it'll be worth your while.  Now while Jericho or Piper would bore you with long speeches about their careers, I'm gonna' get right down to business and introduce my first ever guest here on Simon Says and he is one of the legends of professional wrestling.  So without further a-do, I'd like to bring out to this very ring.. JAKE.. THE SNAKE.. ROBERTS!

The crowd goes wild, as Jake Roberts makes his way out to the ring carrying a heavy bag on his shoulder, obviously implying that his snake is in there.  He climbs up the steps and enters the door, but refuses to take a seat near Diamond.

Jake Roberts: What tha' hell is this place? Fairy land?

Simon's expression freezes into anger.

Simon Diamond: Excuse me? How dare you come on to my show and insult me like that? This is not only the first edition of Simon Says in RW history, but it will also be the night that kills of your career, pal.. 'Cause if you keep disrespecting me like that, I'm not gonna' be afraid of going to Bret Hart and getting your ass fired outta' here, you understand that?

Jake Roberts: Should I be scared? I've beaten the hell outta' punks like you for my entire life, and I ain't about to stop now just 'cause some idiot tells me I'm gonna' get fired for it.

Simon Diamond: Oh is that so? You want a match then? Let's go, right now.

Diamond looks to the crowd laughing that Jake Roberts would even want to face him, but just as he turns around he gets nailed right in the face by a series of right hands.  Roberts then irish whips Diamond across the ring and gives him a clotheline that sends him flying to the mat.  He then quickly opens up his bag and unleashes the snake, as Simon Diamond quickly leaves the ring and fixes up his robe, while staring down Jake Roberts with his snake as if he was crazy.

The Elite Tournament: Joe E. Legend vs. Shawn Stasiak vs. Perry Saturn

Match Highlights:

- All three men battled it out early on, with nobody gaining a clear advantage.  Stasiak and Saturn knocked each other out with a double clotheline, and Legend ran right into the ropes, nailing both of them with elbow drops at the same time, but only getting a two count on each man.

- Mid way into this match, the action picks up.  Saturn scoop slams Stasiak to the ground and raises his arms up high in the air, signaling for maybe the Rings Of Saturn, but all of a sudden, Joe E. Legend runs right into the ring and clothelines Saturn to the outside.  He notices Stasiak getting back up to his feet behind him and nails him down to the mat with a jumping DDT, which only gets a two count.

- Saturn jumps right back into the ring and tries to take control of this match.  He gives Legend a german suplex and keeps the pin move locked in but only gets a two count.  Stasiak gets back up to his feet and begins brawling with Saturn, locking up in a high elbow tie up and irish whipping him across the ring, then nailing him over the head with a big boot and a cover 1...2..kick out! The match goes on for another two to three minutes until the big finish.

The Finish:

Legend and Stasiak are the only two left in the ring due to Saturn being thrown to the outside a few seconds before.  Stasiak goes for a clotheline, but Legend ducks it and nails him from behind with a backdrop and a pin manover 1...2..kick out! Both men get right back up to their feet and Stasiak misses a clotheline again, but he sees Saturn on the apron and nails him off of it, taunting him from the ropes.  Legend turns Stasiak around and gives him a stunner, quickly hooking the far leg for the referee to make the count.  Saturn tries to run into the ring but isn't able to stop the count that gives Joe E. Legend his first win and his chance to advance in the elite heavyweight championship tournament.

Winner: Joe E. Legend

Six Man Tag Team Match: Hulk Hogan, Sting and Terry Funk vs. Randy Savage, Scott Steiner and Ken Shamrock

Match Highlights:

- This was by far the match of the night overall.  The crowd was really into seeing a lot of guys that hadn't seen in a while wrestle together in the same ring.  Shamrock started the match dominating Terry Funk and showing his dominance in the ring, but that all changed as Sting was tagged into the match.  The Stinger nailed Shamrock down with a clotheline and threw Savage and Steiner off the apron, catching Shamrock on the turnbuckle with a Stinger splash and getting a two count after he falls to the ground.

- Mid way into the bout, Sting is battling to tag in one of his partners as Scott Steiner and Ken Shamrock are working on his ankle with some quick tag ins, setting him up for a possible Ankle Lock as a finish.  Sting is then able to switch the momentum to his side as he begins nailing each member of the opposite team with right hands when he finds himself cornered.  He then clothelines Steiner down and tries to run over to his own corner, but Shamrock is quick enough to run into the ring and give Sting a big boot right to the head.

- Sting was beat down for about one and a half minutes after that momentum switch, until finally Randy Savage made his first appearance into the match.  Hogan was still begging for a tag.  Savage kept beating down Sting with some elbow drops and leg drops on the ground, and a few submission holds, including one of Sting's own sharpshooters.  Sting is able to knock Savage off of him and begins making his way towards Hogan.  Shamrock tries to nail him again with a big boot, but Terry Funk is quick to run into the ring and clotheline him to the outside, catapulting himself with him.  Sting then jumps up from the ground and gives Hulk Hogan the tag in he had been waiting for this entire bout.

The Finish:

Hogan begins Hulking up as Steiner runs towards him, trying to hit him with a right hand, but gets it blocked and nailed with a right hand from Hogan, who then does the same to Macho Man.  Hogan then irish whips Steiner into the turnbuckle, and irish whips Savage into the opposite turnbuckle.  He points towards them and looks around, as Sting makes his way back into the ring and gives each one of them a vicious Stinger Splash! Steiner falls to the ground, while Savage walks around the ring in confusion.  Hogan turns him around and begins nailing him with a series of right hands.  He then irish whips him across the ring and big boots him to the floor.  Hogan slaps his hand once and points towards Savage, doing some of his trademarks before running to the ropes and nailing the Leg Drop on Randy Savage! The referee makes the count 1...2...3! Hogan, Sting and Funk celebrate in the ring holding their hands up in the air as they made a successful debut on pay per view.

Staff Unhappy With Buy Rate; Elite Title Tournament

It appears that Bret Hart and the rest of the RW superstars and crew weren't completely satisfied with the buy rate for the first ever Revolution Wrestling: Legends pay per view event of 0.18, but, as hard as it is to swallow, every company has to start at the bottom.  The quality of the matches and the fan reaction can only foreshadow great things in the future of the company though, which seemed to get off on the right foot, unlike a lot of others.

There is a lot of hype backstage towards the Elite Heavyweight Title Tournament, which saw Joe E. Legend defeat Perry Saturn and Shawn Stasiak, and Pierre Carl Oulette defeat Marcus Bagwell and D'Lo Brown in the first two qualifying matches.  The bigger names of the company are still not going to be involved with the tournament for at least another two weeks, as they want to leave the young workers a chance to shine in the big matches as well.  Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage won't take place in the tournament at all, as they opted for a feud that began this friday as Hogan pinned Savage in the six man tag team match to get the win for his team.  At their age, neither of the two is dying to have another world title run, and they would rather let guys that haven't had as big of a chance to succeed in previous companies have their chance to shine.

Firings/Hirings; Full Roster List

World Wrestling Entertainment has apparently gone on some sort of "firing spree" in the last few days, releasing The Coach, Steven Richards, The Heart Throbs, Chris Masters, Al Snow, Jerry The King Lawler, Viscera, Johnny Swinger, Christy Hemme, Lillian Garcia, Daivari, Garrison Cade, Tyson Tomko and Victoria among others.  Bret Hart hasn't made any clear attempts to snatch any of the guys up yet, but an appearance by Jerry Lawler at the next pay per view might've been planned since before his release from the company, and could possibly be one of the reasons why he was released in the first place.  Johnny Swinger would surely make a great roster addition, as a singles wrestler or as a partner to Glen Gilberti in the New York Connection, and Al Snow's legendary promos with head might also be a great asset to the company, as well as maybe a little taste of blue world order with Stevie Richards.  More news on these recent roster switch ups as it comes.

Also, right after Revolution Wrestling: Legends on pay per view, RWrestling.com released a full roster list including both workers under written contract and verbal agreements.

Also appearing at this friday's pay per view will be Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, The Second City Saints, The New Jersey Triad and many, many more, for the second ever Revolution Wrestling: Legends event in Miami, Florida.  The Tournament For The Elite continues this week with two huge triple threat matches, as the newly signed Steve Corino takes on Scott Steiner and Erik Watts, and Hart Foundation 2K5 member, Harry Smith, takes on Sean O'Haire and Austin Aries.

Also, The Macho Man Randy Savage surely won't be too happy about being pinned by Hulk Hogan in the six man tag team match last week, but what will he have to say about it? The Macho Man is this week's guest on Simon Diamond's new hit talk show, "Simon Says".

Glen Gilberti is also putting his RW career on the line as he takes on a mystery opponent still to be named by Bret Hart.  The Second City Saints make their RW debut in tag team action, and The New Jersey Triad scheme their way into a cheap victory.. All this and much more friday nights at Revolution Wrestling: Legends live on pay per view.

stud ..

I liked the first show, interesting backstory, bringing out Hart during the Hogan/HBK match was priceless, calling the screwjob, I enjoyed that party a lot.

You're first show was very well written, like all your shows have been done in you're WWE diary. You write well so it's rediculas that no one has replied to this yet, but you my friend are a great writer.

The roster seems believeable, hopefully you can afford the big names you got on you're roster like Steiner.. wait, I called Steiner a big name LOLZ, but I think you get what I mean.

Overall, it's a good diary, and I'm enjoying the read, can't wait for the next show, and you're card's look really good as well.

Oh, and Hebner's fired k?

Tag Team Match: Second City Saints vs. Hart Foundation 2K3

Match Highlights:

- The first highlight of this action packed matchup came just a few seconds into the bout.  Teddy Hart and Jack Evans run into the ring and attempt a couple of clothelines on Punk and Cabana, but the Second City Saints duck under them and dropkick the Hart Foundation 2K3 right out of the ring.  They then run to the opposite ropes and launch themselves onto Hart and Evans, even knocking themselves out.

- Cabana and Punk continue to have the control of this matchup from that moment on, as Cabana throws Evans into the ring and grabs him up for a bearhug.  Evans desperately tries to fight out of it, and just as he's about to, Cabana quickly releases the hold and catches Evans in mid air for a DDT for a close two count.

- CM Punk gets tagged into the ring and begins working on Evans as well, but Evans is slowly making a comeback.  He begins punching Punk in the gut and runs to the opposite ropes, but gets caught on the rebound with a Titl-A-Whirl backbreaker by CM Punk that lays him out again and almost gets him down for a three count.

The Finish:

Evans finally knocks CM Punk off of him with an enzuiguiri and slowly makes his way over to his corner.  CM Punk tags in Colt Cabana and Jack Evans now tags in Teddy Hart.  Hart ducks a clotheline attempt from Cabana and runs towards CM Punk, dropkicking him off the apron.  He then turns his attention back to Cabana and kicks him in the gut, giving him a standing tornado DDT for the 1...2..shoulder up! Hart goes to the apron and begins climbing up to the top rope as the crowd goes wild.  Hart taunts Cabana and jumps off, nailing The Hart Attack on Colt Cabana! He covers him 1...2...CM Punk pulls Hart off of Cabana and brings him to the outside, where he slams his head into the steel steps.  Jack Evans climbs up to the top rope and jumps off to hit the Corkscrew 630, but CM Punk pulls Cabana out of the ring and onto the outside, making Evans land flat on his face.  Cabana gets back up on the outside and begins dominating Teddy Hart, laying him out for good.  He then runs back into the ring and grabs Jack Evans from behind as he was making his way back up to his feet and puts him in the air.  The fans cheer as CM Punk slowly climbs up to the top rope and nails Jack Evans with a missile dropkick! He then covers him 1...2...3! The Second City Saints have taken a victory in a fantastic tag team matchup.

Winner: Second City Saints

Singles Match: Simon Diamond vs. Jake Roberts

Match Highlights:

- It was obvious that Simon Diamond was out for revenge in this bout.  He took control early on as he destroyed Jake Roberts at ringside before the match could even begin.  He then throws Roberts into the ring and covers him but the referee only counts for two.

- The momentum suddenly changes as Jake Roberts begins nailing Simon Diamond over the head with some hard right hands.  He then irish whips him across the ring and catches him right on the neck with a clotheline! The fans are going wild.  Roberts scoop slams Simon Diamond down to the mat and gives him an elbow drop for a two count.

- We are now moving in towards the end of this bout, as Jake The Snake walks over to the turnbuckle and kneels, grabbing his trusty bag and getting ready to pull out the Snake.  Diamond is able to quickly get back up to his feet though and nails Roberts over the back of the head with a big boot.

The Finish:

Diamond continues to take advantage of Roberts for a few seconds, until The Snake begins nailing him over the head with some right hands.  He then clothelines him down twice, then gives him a DDT and goes for a cover 1...2...kick out! Roberts goes over to his bag again and this time pulls out The Snake.  Jim Mollineaux is struggling to fight Roberts and keep the snake away from him.  He then grabs it and quickly runs towards the ropes to throw it to the outside.  Simon Diamond takes advantage of the fact that the ref is distracted by grabbing a pair of brass knuckles from his tights and punching Jake Roberts right over the head with it! He then throws it to the outside and hooks both legs as Mollineaux turns around and makes the count 1...2...3! Diamond slides out of the ring and quickly walks to the back.

Winner: Simon Diamond

Overall Rating: 68%

We are now taken in the backstage area, where Diamond Dallas Page, Kanyon and Bam Bam Bigelow are hanging out and walking down with a couple of hot dogs in their hands.

Diamond Dallas Page: You guys were fantastic last week, let me tell ya'.

Kanyon and Bigelow make two very phony expressions like they appreciate the comment so much.

Kanyon: Couldn't agree with you more champ.

Diamond Dallas Page: Champ?

Bam Bam Bigelow: I think Chris is just assuming that you're gonna' go out to that ring tonight and win the national title, for all of us.

Diamond Dallas Page: BANG! Nailed it.

The three men laugh, as Kanyon finishes his hot dog and begins staring at DDP's obsessively.

Kanyon: Hey man.. You gonna' eat that?

Diamond Dallas Page: Well..

Kanyon doesn't allow DDP to finish talking and grabs the hot dog from him, stuffing it in his mouth and smiling at the same time while giving his buddies a thumbs up.

DDP and Bigelow laugh, as we go back out to the ring.

Singles Match: Glenn Gilberti vs. ???

Match Highlights:

- Gilberti waited a few seconds in the ring with a mic, begging to get a good opponent.  Spike Dudley made his way out with a microphone of his own and watched Gilberti laugh at his size.  He then dropped the mic and ran down to start the match.  Gilberti misses a clotheline and Spike runs to the ropes, giving Gilberti a flying forearm smash that throws him to the outside.  Spike then climbs up to the top rope and catapults himself over on top of Gilberti with a cross body drop!

- Spike continues to hold the momentum in this bout.  He runs towards Gilberti but gets caught by surprise with a vicious spinebuster for a close two count.  Gilberti grabs Spike up by his hair and kicks him in the gut, throwing his head between his legs and picking him right up for a powerbomb which gets another close two count.

- Gilberti continues trying to win this matchup, but Spike Dudley is not giving up.  Gilberti scoop slams him to the mat and jumps up to the second rope, but misses a senton attempt as Spike moves out of the way and makes Gilberti land right on his back.  Spike then jumps up to the second rope quickly and nails Gilberti with a double axe handle, sending him down to the mat.  He then climbs up to the top rope and jumps on top of Gilberti's stomach, getting a two count.

The Finish:

Spike's got all the momentum here.  He walks over to Gilberti who's laid out on the ground and tries to pick him up by his hair, but gets kicked right in the face instead.  Gilberti gets back up to his feet and grabs Spike by his legs, falling and at the same time throwing Spike over to the turnbuckle.  Spike lands right on the second turnbuckle and jumps off to nail Gilberti with a cross body, but Gilberti nails Dudley in mid air with a great looking dropkick! Gilberti gets ready to make the cover, but all of a sudden Mikey Whipwreck comes running down to the ring.  Gilberti doesn't see him and begins taunting the crowd and showing his gunns as a sign that he has won the match.  Mikey runs down to the ring and grabs a steel chair, running in and nailing Spike over the back with it.  Gilberti turns around from the sound and notices the event, as the referee calls for the bell and Spike Dudley has won the match! Mikey Whipwreck walks back up the ramp laughing at Gilberti.

Winner: Spike Dudley by DQ

Overall Rating: 70%

The Elite Tournament: Sean O'Haire vs. Austin Aries vs. Harry Smith

Match Highlights:

- O'Haire took control of this matchup early on as he knocked Austin Aries out with an incredible superkick and began brawling with Harry Smith.  The crowd was surprisingly behind Smith during this match because of his connection with The Hart Family, and the momentum drove him to nail O'Haire right on the chin with a fantastic dropkick.  The fans suddenly started chants of "BULLDOG! BULLDOG! BULLDOG!" which gave Smith a smile.

- We're now mid way into the bout.  Smith clothelines Austin Aries down and ducks a clotheline attempt from Sean O'Haire, grabbing him from behind and knocking him down with a german suplex and a cover 1...2...Aries breaks the count with an elbow drop.  He then runs to the ropes and slides on the ground, dropkicking Harry Smith right on the head and making it sound all over the arena, as he goes for a pin 1...2...shoulder up!

- Smith and Aries continue brawling for a few minutes, as O'Haire waits around for them to get tired and then suddenly superkicks Smith right over the back of the head, knocking him down on the mat.  He tries to clotheline Aries, but the indy sensation ducks the clotheline attempt and runs to the ropes.  O'Haire catches him on the rebound with a Titl-A-Whirl backbreaker, but Aries lands on his feet and knocks O'Haire down with a hurricanrana.  He then hooks his head under his arm and nails him to the mat with a DDT 1...2...shoulder up!

The Finish:

Aries is still gloating over his opponents because of the advantage he has in this bout.  He gives O'Haire an enzuiguiri that sends him flying over the top rope and to the outside.  Harry Smith walks up to Aries from behind and turns him right around, nailing him over the head with a series of right hands and irish whipping him across the ring, then catching him with a nice clotheline.  The fans are getting into this match incredibly, getting behind Harry Smith with some more bulldog chants.  Aries gets back up to his feet but gets scoop slammed to the mat by Smith, who then leg drops him down as well.  He then poitns up with his hands and the crowd goes wild.  He picks Austin Aries up over his shoulder and parades him around the ring, then tries to hit a running powerslam ala British Bulldog, but Aries slips behind him and dropkicks him.  O'Haire was just getting back on the apron, but Smith lands right on O'Haire and sends him back to the outside.  Aries takes advantage and grabs Smith from behind for a rollup with a handful of tights as the ref covers 1...2...3! Aries runs right out of the way and celebrates his win, as the crowd gives Harry Smith a standing ovation.

Winner: Austin Aries

Overall Rating: 72%

We get a commercial break hyping the debut of a worker who hasn't been wrestling for a while to return next week live on pay per view.  As we get back, the fans are going wild for the weekly segment of "Simon Says" with Simon Diamond and this week's guest, Randy Savage.  Diamond is sitting in his usual stool in the middle of the ring with a microphone.

Simon Diamond: Before we start yet another piece of wrestling history, I'd just like to remind all of you that I beat Jake The Snake Roberts like nobody ever had before.. But I'm not here to toot my own horn even though it's quite a lot of fun after such a fantastic victory.  What I AM out here for is to introduce my second ever guest on Simon Says, and yet another legend in the industry.. But this is a man that I respect.

Diamond stands up from the stool and stares at the entrance ramp, applauding.

Simon Diamond: This applause is necessary for this man, and I'm asking all of you to greet him in the same way as I am.. So please give a warm welcome to.. THE MACHO MAN.. RANDY.. SAVAGE!

Savage makes his way out to the entrance ramp while Diamond continues to applaude him.  The fans don't seem too fond of the situation and respond with a heck of a lot of booes, the biggest heat of the night was received by Macho Man in this segment.

Randy Savage: OOOOOOOOH.. YEAH! Thanks for that introduction.. BROTHER!

Diamond and Savage laugh at the attempt to mock Hogan.

Randy Savage: Games aside, I've got something I came out here to say, and HULK HOGAN.. YOU BETTER BE LISTENING PAL.  Last week, I got my ass pinned to the ground by one of the greatest wrestlers in the world today, I know that because I've faced him.. I've teamed with him.. I know Hulk Hogan, but that's no excuse.  Hulk Hogan might be good, but I wanna' be BETTER.

Simon Diamond: That's very understandable Randy, and if I say so myself, it does seem to me like Hogan is always trying to steal your spotlight.  WWF, WCW, and now even RW.. It just seems like wherever you go, Hogan's there as well, and always getting in the way of your success.  It just doesn't seem to matter as much when you get to the top of the mountain, when Hogan's already done it five times before you even get there once.

Randy Savage: That's exactly how I'm feelin'.. BROTHER! And I'm not gonna' let it happen any longer.

Savage doesn't notice that Hogan has entered the ring behind him.  Diamond turns him around to show him and Hogan nails him right over the head with a right hand.  He then grabs Simon Diamond by his head and does the same to Savage, pushing their heads against each other and Hulking up.  He then scoop slams Randy Savage down and turns around to Simon Diamond, who suddenly gives Hogan a vicious low blow and slides out of the ring with Randy Savage, as Hogan looks on pointing at them from the ground.

Overall Rating: 98%

The Elite Tournament: Steve Corino vs. Scott Steiner vs. Erik Watts

Match Highlights:

- This match started out with a great balance of power between the three.  Steiner and Corino then decided to work together to get rid of Erik Watts, but were surprised by Watts as he nailed both of them with a double clotheline, then gave Corino a DDT for a close two count.

- Minutes later, Steiner was able to turn the momentum to his side.  He clothelines Watts down to the mat and gives Corino a nice T-Bone suplex that makes him slide to the outside.  He then turns back around and grabs Watts up by his hair, dropping him down to the mat with a reverse DDT and a two count.

- Steiner and Watts continue to battle it out for a few seconds, until Steve Corino is able to make his way back into the ring.  He slides in and dropkicks Watts towards the turnbuckle, then kicks Steiner in the gut and gives him a nicely executed DDT.  He then runs towards Erik Watts and nails him with a great looking Stinger Splash type manover.  Corino irish whips Watts across the ring and squashes him in the corner with a clotheline, then runs to the ropes and nails a bulldog on Erik Watts as the referee counts 1...2...shoulder up!

The Finish:

All three men continue brawling for a few minutes, until the moment of truth comes upon them.  Steiner is able to throw Corino over the top rope and get Erik Watts in the situation he wanted him in.  He scoop slams him down to the mat, then turns him around and applies the Steiner Recliner, with the referee almost ringing the bell for Watts passing out.  Corino runs into the ring and kicks Steiner right on the back of the head and sends him flying to the outside.  Steiner gets right back into the ring and begins brawling with Steve Corino.  Erik Watts gets up after a few seconds and tries to nail Corino with a forearm smash, but Corino moves out of the way and Watts nails Steiner right over the head, throwing him to the outside.  Steve Corino grabs Erik Watts as he turns around and nails him with a perfectly executed Old School Bomb for the three count and a spot in the next round of the Elite Title Tournament.

Winner: Steve Corino

We come back on the air from a commercial break showing all of RW's sponsors, and Alex Shelley's music plays over the PA.  The fans begin booeing the first ever RW light heavyweight champion, as he makes his way out to the top of the entrance ramp with his cool glasses and attire, followed by the camera.  The only thing that's odd is, the camera man is actually Shark Boy.  Shelley looks at him oddly, but continues on in his path up to the ring, where a HUGE cake is laying there waiting for him.  He grabs a microphone and smiles.

Alex Shelley: It's great to be me, isn't it?

All of a sudden, the guys taking pictures at ringside are flashing at the beam of the light, and there's something odd about them as well.. They're all Shark Boy.  Shelley looks down and notices the five men with Shark Boy masks, and the man at the top of the apron with one.

Alex Shelley: Am I the only one who's seeing this? What the hell's going on?

Shelley turns around and out of the cake comes GUESS WHO? SHARK BOY! who jumps right out and nails Shelley over the head with a forearm smash.  He then continues to beat him down with a series of kicks and is joined in the ring by at least ten other men dressed like Shark Boys to give Alex Shelley a great beat down.  Shelley is able to get out of the confusion and slide to the outside of the ring.  Each man does the Shark Boy sign, as Shelley runs to the back with a freaked out look on his face.  He runs into his locker room, but can't seem to get it open.  He sees a backstage worker standing with his back to the camera and pulls him over.

Alex Shelley: Hey I need some help here man.

Shelley turns him around and notices that it's ANOTHER SHARK BOY! The Light Heavyweight champion then screams and begins running for the parking lot, as we are taken back to the ring.

National Title Battle Royal: D'Lo, Jannetty, Shamrock, Andrew Martin, Saturn, Haas, DDP, Credible, Gibson, Bagwell

Match Highlights:

- D'Lo Brown was the first man to go, as Marty Jannetty, who got a huge cheer when he made his way out to the ring, eliminated him using an HBK style superkick.  Jannetty's celebration was short lived though, as Ken Shamrock grabbed him over his shoulders as easily as possible and just threw him over the top rope and on top of D'Lo.  Perry Saturn was at the same time thrown out by a big boot by Andrew Martin.

- DDP is dominating this battle royal now with the help of Kanyon and Bigelow, who save him every time he's about to get thrown out.  Credible and Bagwell run to the outside and nail Kanyon and Bigelow with right hands, allowing for Charlie Haas to clotheline DDP to the outside and eliminate him early.  Marcus Bagwell threw Andrew Martin over the top rope just a few moments later.

- The battle royal is getting intense, as Justin Credible looks to eliminate James Gibson as he stands against the ropes, but Gibson throws him over his shoulders and to the outside, leaving it to the final four men.  Gibson continued to battle it out with Bagwell, while Haas and Shamrock took a rest in the corners.  Gibson tries to throw Bagwell to the outside, but Bagwell keeps holding on.  Suddenly Shamrock runs over there and big boots both of them over the top rope.  Gibson falls, but Bagwell holds on to the ropes and gets back on the apron.  Shamrock runs towards Bagwel and intimidates him enough to make him jump off on his own and eliminate himself.

The Finish:

It's down to Charlie Haas and Ken Shamrock to decide the first ever RW National Champion.  This has now become a normal one on one match between two of the greatest technical wrestlers on the roster.  Shamrock gives Haas a belly to belly suplex for a close two count, and continues to dominate the match throughout.  He then runs towards Haas but suddenly gets caught right on the neck by a vicious clotheline by Haas, which gets the crowd going wild.  Haas grabs Shamrock's legs and begins pulling them as hard as he could for the Haas Of Pain, but his momentum is short lived as Shamrock is able to grab onto the bottom rope.  Haas then picks him back up and tries to get him up for a suplex, but Shamrock lands on his feet behind Haas and pushes him against the ropes.  He then superkicks Haas right on the back of the head, making him fall head first against the second turnbuckle.  Shamrock pulls him back by his leg and grabs his ankle right in the middle of the ring for a brutal ankle lock.  Haas tries as hard as he can to get out of it, but all of his tries fail and he's forced to tap out.  Shamrock walks to the outside and takes his National Championship, putting it around his waist and smiling as he raises his arms up in the air and RW: Legends fades to the black.

TNA Goes Global

Over the past week, NWA:TNA has "gone global" and taken up different aspects of a more professional wrestling corporation.  By signing almost their entire roster to a written contract, TNA assumes the more professional look they were striving to achieve, and they also succeed in stopping Bret Hart from possibly stealing some of their talent as RW grows more and more.  As a result of TNA's push up the ladder, Petey Williams, The Amazing Red, and shockingly Jimmy Hart, have agreed to a written contract with TNA wrestling, restraining them from any future association with Bret Hart's rising promotion.  Shark Boy, Delirious, Alex Shelley and now the newly signed Sonjay Dutt and, have all agreed to only keep an open contract with TNA, allowing them to take their chances with Revolution Wrestling and follow the guidance of The Hart Family to take them to new heights.  It's quite understandable that the younger, more talented workers, are the ones that have taken a liking to Bret Hart's company, and feel that it is indeed destined for a great future, but the most shocking loss of all came with The Mouth Of The South, Jimmy Hart.  A former member of the original Hart Foundation, and a great friend of Bret Hart's, it's very shocking to see him leave for TNA, but despite how painful his decision was, Bret Hart wishes him the best of luck with his future experiences on RWrestling.com.

Revolution Wrestling: Legends - Friday, September 09, 2005

Memphis, Tennessee

Singles Match: Shawn Stasiak vs. Jerry "The King" Lawler

Shawn Stasiak was in the ring waiting for his opponent, as are the fans.  The familiar theme song plays over the PA and Jerry "The King" Lawler makes his way out to the entrance ramp to a huge standing ovation from his hometown crowd.

Josh Matthews: Now this is what I call respect, Don.

Don Callis: Well he doesn't deserve any of it, kid.  You might've been playing with your beanie babies when this man was ruining extreme championship wrestling, but that doesn't mean that his actions should be overlooked.  This man invaded our company and deprived us of our independence by sticking it to each and every wrestler we had.

Josh Matthews: Oh will you please stop, Jerry Lawler is a legend, enough said.

Stasiak tries to get a cheap shot in on Lawler, but gets caught over the head by a right hand and a big cheer from the crowd.  Lawler dares Stasiak to get back up, then clothelines him down to the mat and waits for him to get back up again to scoop slam him down to the mat.  He then runs to the ropes and elbow drops Stasiak, hooking the leg for a cover 1...2..kick out! Both men quickly get back up to their feet, and Lawler kicks Shawn Stasiak in the gut.  He then grabs him by his hair and puts his fist high up in the air smiling at each side of the crowd as they begin cheering.  He then plants Stasiak over the head with a right hand that sends him flying to the mat.

Josh Matthews: And that's how it's done here in Memphis.

Stasiak slides to the outside to rest for a few seconds, and Lawler doesn't seem too pleased.  He walks to the outside and grabs Stasiak by his head, slamming him right into the steel steps and smiling to the crowd again, trying to get them pumped up.  Stasiak gets thrown right back into the ring and positioned near the bottom of the turnbuckle.  Lawler jumps up to the second turnbuckle and puts his fist up, just to jump down and nail Stasiak with a fist drop from the second rope! He then hooks the far leg weakly 1...2..kick out! Lawler doesn't appear to be too happy that the match isn't over yet.  He grabs Stasiak up by his hair, but the lunatic begins punching the hometown legend in the gut a few times with some close fisted hits.  He then suplexes Lawler down and tries to use the cheap tricks Lawler used to get some cheers, but gets nothing but booes.  Out of anger, he runs towards the ropes and tries to nail a big splash on Lawler who moves out of the way and gets another big cheer from the crowd.

Josh Matthews: What a counter!

Don Callis: The only counter Jerry Lawler could make at his age is a kitchen counter.

Stasiak is struggling to get back up to his feet, but as he does, Lawler grabs him right by the head and places him in between his legs.  He looks around with a smile and the crowd begins chanting "LAWLER! LAWLER! LAWLER!" as he grabs him up and drops him with a fantastically executed Piledriver.  Lawler covers 1...2...3! The hometown hero celebrates as he exits through the crowd and takes the hugs of the fans.

Don Callis: How pathetic.

Winner: Jerry Lawler

We are taken backstage where Hulk Hogan is standing by with Mean Gene Okerlund in a very old school style interview type setting.

Mean Gene Okerlund: Hulk, tonight you team with Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake and The Nasty Boys to take on The Macho Man Randy Savage and The New Jersey Triad, your thoughts?

Hulk Hogan: I'll tell you my thoughts brother! Ya' see, Randy Savage doesn't realize the he just ain't good enough to stop Hulkamania, dude, and I think Hulk Hogan needs to slap reality right in his face brother.  This guy thinks I've been stealing his spotlight in the wwf, in wcw, and now here in rw? He's right.. But it's not because of some scheme the world has against him.. It's 'cause I'm just better than him, period.

Mean Gene Okerlund: Well those are some pretty intense comments, Hulk, I mean.. Macho Man has done a lot in his career and..

Hulk Hogan: LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING MEAN GENE, do you think that you can actually compare a few world heavyweight title belts to the thousands of screaming fans chanting "HOGAN! .. HOGAN!" and making Hulkamania live for DECADES! Macho Man might be able to go out to that ring and do his "OOOOOH YEAHS", but he sure as heck knows nothing about professional wrestling, brother! He thinks he can make his little rap album and start gaining fame in the music industry, but he's oh so wrong, DUDE! I could sell more CDs playing my air guitar than he can rapping.  Now I didn't come back to professional wrestling to have some *bleep* make an ass out of me on national television.  I came back on television to say WHAT'CHA GONNA' DO.. WHEN THE HULKSTER.. RUNS WILD.. ON YOUUUUU!?

Hogan rips his shirt like in the old glory days, as he continues to taunt Mean Gene and we are taken back out to the ring.

The Elite Tournament: Jerry Lynn vs. Simon Diamond vs. Mikey Whipwreck

All three men brawl out this bout as it begins.  Diamond is thrown to the outside by a double clotheline by Whipwreck and Lynn.  Lynn then kicks Mikey in the gut and grabs him by his arms to hit a quick Cradle Piledriver, but Whipwreck slips out of it and dropkicks Jerry Lynn right on the chin.  He then waits for hi mto get back up and clothelines him down to the mat.  Lynn gets right back up to his feet and Whipwreck runs towards him, but gets catapulted over the top rope and onto Simon Diamond with a back body drop.  Jerry Lynn sees the two helping each other up on the outside and runs towards the ropes, throwing himself over the top rope and landing on both men with a suicide dive.

Josh Matthews: WOW!

Don Callis: That's ecw for you right there, kid, learn from it.

Lynn gets back up to his feet with Simon Diamond and throws him back into the ring by his head.  He jumps back up to the apron and slowly begins climbing up to the top rope, trying to nail Diamond with some sort of flip leg drop, which he misses completely.  Diamond astutely moves out of the way and walks back up to Lynn, grabbing him by his hair and putting his head right between his legs, then dropping him down to the mat with a powerbomb and a close two count.  Whipwreck comes right back into the ring and begins punching Simon Diamond over the head, forcing him into the ropes.  He then irish whips him across the ring and bends down, just to get kicked right on the shoulder by Diamond, who then grabs him by his hair and pushes him down to the mat.

Don Callis: That's Simon Diamond for ya', just dominating.

Josh Matthews: The guy's a pompous idiot.

Don Callis: Pompous or not, he's still one of the best wrestlers in the world today.

He picks Mikey Whipwreck back up by his hair, and drags him to the corner, where he begins slapping him across the chest with forehand and backhand chop combinations.  He then grabs him up with a suplex and nails him right down to the ground.  He goes for a cover and Jerry Lynn gets right back up.  Lynn runs to the ropes and goes for an elbow drop on Diamond, who gets out of the way and makes Lynn nail Whipwreck with it.  Simon then grabs Jerry Lynn from behind and tries to hit a backdrop, but Lynn lands on his feet and dropkicks Simon Diamond so hard that he falls out of the ring over the top rope.  Lynn takes his attention off of Mikey Whipwreck, who's able to turn Lynn around and begins nailing him over the head with a series of right hands.  He then irish whips him to the opposite turnbuckle and runs to the ropes, hitting a hard clotheline for a two count.  He then runes to the ropes again, but this time Simon Diamond grabs his foot and makes him fall flat on his face from the outside.  Diamond slides back into the ring and grabs Mikey Whipwreck in a sleeper, while Jerry Lynn is re-grouping on the other side of the ring.  Lynn slowly gets back up, and Diamond is forced to release the sleeper hold and walk over to Lynn, who kicks him in the gut and grabs him by his head, jumping onto the second rope and hitting a fantastic Tornado DDT! Lynn hooks the far leg 1...2...shoulder up!

Josh Matthews: Oh so close!

Don Callis: What a fantastic bout.

Lynn picks Simon Diamond up to his feet and places him leaning against the ropes.  Mikey Whipwreck gets back up to his feet and tries to clotheline Lynn, who ducks, and makes Whipwreck clotheline Simon Diamond right to the outside of the ring! Lynn turns him around quickly and kicks him in the gut, dropping him down to the mat with a fantastic Cradle Piledriver as he covers 1...2...3! Jerry Lynn walks to the back celebrating, as Simon Diamond realizes that he wasn't even pinned to lose this match and has a temper tantrum.

Winner: Jerry Lynn

After a commercial break, we're back in the ring with the hardcore legend himself, Terry Funk, standing with a microphone in his hand as the fans begin chanting his name.

Terry Funk: I'm out here tonight to present to you guys one of the greatest professional wrestlers in the history of this industry.

The fans begin cheering in anticipation.

Terry Funk: I'm sure you can all imagine who this man is already, due to the fact that I haven't made many friends other than him in my decades in this business, so without further a-do, let me bring out a fantastic man, a great wrestler, and an even better person.. MICK.. FOLEY!

Foley's old Cactus Jack music hits over the PA, but the lights go out instead.  When they come back on, Terry Funk is looking towards the entrance ramp waiting for Foley, and the fans are going wild as Foley is actually standing right behind Funk with Socko! Funk turns around perplexed, but Foley sticks the sock right down Funk's throat, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Foley then clothelines Funk over the top rope and catapults himself out with him.  He sadistically carries him up the ramp by the few hairs he has left on his body, and stops at the top.  He looks down at the light boxes at the side of the ramp.  The crowd is now fully booeing Mick Foley, as he grabs Funk by his hair and runs with him along with entrance ramp, releasing him and making him fall on the lights, but only getting a few sparks.  He then gets down there with Funk and puts his head between his legs, nailing him down with a piledriver on top of the other lights, making them explode! MICK FOLEY IS BACK! He walks back up the entrance ramp as the EMTs come out to help Terry Funk and we are sent back to another commercial break as the EMTs carry Funk out on a stretcher.

Light Heavyweight Title Match: Alex Shelley vs. Bryan Danielson

Josh Matthews: You wanna' brag about ecw? This is wrestling at its finest, Don.

Don Callis: Well I still don't understand what the hell is going on with that kid Shark Boy, he's everywhere again.

Shelley starts the match out side tracked as Shark Boy is all around the ring.  The referee, the timekeeper, the announcer, the photographers, the camera men, everyone but the fans is dressed like Shark Boy, and Shelley is freaked out.  Danielson takes advantage of the situation and begins nailing Alex Shelley over the head with a series of right hands.  He irish whips him across the ring and gives him an enzuiguiri on the way back that sends Shelley re-grouping on the outside.  He walks by the steel steps, and a fan with a Shark Boy mask begins screaming.  Shelley notices and slides right back into the ring, where Danielson is there to beat him down with a series of kicks to the back.  He picks him up by his head and irish whips him across the ring, going for a dropkick but Shelley hangs on to the rope and Danielson falls to the mat..

Don Callis: What a veteran move by Alex Shelley.

Shelley points to his head as Danielson grabs his back in pain.  He walks over to his opponent and grabs him up by his head, hitting him right over the face with an elbow smash.  He then irish whips him across the ring and goes for a clotheline, but Danielson slides under his legs and waits for him to turn around to nail him right over the face with a Yakuza Kick! Danielson than hits some kind of rolling thunder type manover on Shelley, covering 1...2..kick out! Shark Boy is doing a good job of being a fair referee in this bout.  Danielson grabs Shelley by the head for a sleeper hold, but Shelley quickly slips out of it and grabs Danielson from behind, going for a backdrop.  Danielson lands on his feet and grabs Alex Shelley from behind for a backdrop, but Shelley lands on his feet as well.  Both men turn around and try to hit a flying kick on each other at the same time, smashing into their own legs and getting a standing ovation from the crowd.  Danielson goes for a clotheline, but Shelley ducks it and nails a reverse DDT on Danielson.  He then runs to the ropes and gives Danielson a nicely executed leg drop, for a close two count.  He then picks Danielson up by his hair and scoop slams him to the mat.  He jumps up to the second rope and tries to hit a leg drop again, but the man formerly known as "American Dragon" moves out of the way.

Josh Matthews: This match has been fantastic!

Don Callis: Pure wrestling at its finest.

Danielson runs to the ropes and dropkicks Shelley right over the head, going for a cover but only getting a two count.  He then picks Shelley up by his hair and irish whips him across the ring into the turnbuckle.  He tries to squash him with a clotheline, but Shelley puts a boot up and hits Danielson right over the head with it.  Shelley climbs up to the second rope and waits for Danielson to turn around, but as he does he quickly jumps on the second rope and kicks Alex Shelley right on the head, making him fall from the second rope.  Danielson goes out on the apron and begins climbing up to the top rope.  The fans are cheering as Danielson nails Shelley with a diving headbutt and goes for a cover 1...2........shoulder up! It seems as if Shark Boy made somewhat of a slow count on that one, but Danielson doesn't mind and continues to wrestle.  He then grabs Shelley back up to his feet again and nails him with some chops right on the chest, then sending him down to the mat with a Yakuza Kick, as he covers 1...2...............shoulder up! This seemed like a really slow count, and Danielson walks over to Shark Boy, wondering what the hell he's doing.  Shelley is slowly crawling up behind Danielson.  He tries to hit a clotheline but Danielson ducks it and Shelley nails Shark Boy right over the head.  Danielson grabs him from behind with a rollup but there's no referee to make the count.  Shelley slides through into the move and turns it into a rollup of his own grabbing the tights.  All of a sudden, six men dressed like Shark Boys come running out from underneath the ring with referee outfits.  They run into the ring and begin the count 1...2...3! Shelley is too busy thinking about his win to notice the Shark Boys, but as he does, he quickly freaks out and runs to the back, without even grabbing his light heavyweight title belt.

Winner: Alex Shelley

The Elite Tournament: Charlie Haas vs. Marty Jannetty vs. ???

Haas and Jannetty wait in the ring as Bret Hart makes his way out to the entrance ramp.  He grabs a microphone and announces that the final entrant in this elite heavyweight title tournament is a man that has been away from the industry's wrestling aspect for a few months now.  He then says that it took him a hell of a lot of effort to come back to the industry, and announces the man to be.. LANCE STORM! Storm makes his way out to a big standing ovation, as he walks down to the ring with a very serious look on his face.  He slides in and the bell rings.  Haas and Jannetty quickly run towards him, trying to nail him with two clothelines, but Storm ducks both of them and continues running to the ropes, knocking both of his opponents down with a double shoulder block.  He then begins nailing Haas over the head with a series of right hands.  Jannetty runs towards Storm and tries to nail some sort of Stinger Splash, but Storm moves out of the way and Jannetty falls right on to Charlie Haas.  Storm then grabs Jannetty from behind and knocks him down to the mat with a reverse DDT, hooking both legs 1...2..kick out!

Josh Matthews: Lance Storm still has it!

Don Callis: It's 'cause he got good training.. In ecw, of course.

Haas hits Storm over the head with a double axe handle and pushes him into the ropes, irish whipping him across the ring and missing a clotheline.  Storm falls through and runs towards Haas, nailing a flying forearm smash that makes Haas slide to the outside of the ring to re-group himself.  Jannetty gets up from behind, but Storm notices it and nails him with a superkick which could be the end of the bout 1...2...Haas quickly pulls Storm off of Jannetty and hits his head on the steel steps on the outside.

Don Callis: What a cheap move, is this how Mcmahon brings up his wrestlers?

Josh Matthews: If one of your ecw guys did it, you'd be calling them wrestling geniuses.

Haas runs right back into the ring and starts kicking Marty Jannetty right on the back.  He then grabs him up and throws him down to the mat with a belly to belly suplex and a close two count.  Haas seems to be very angry.  He kicks Jannetty in the shoulder and grabs his legs for a submission hold to soften him up for the Haas Of Pain.  He picks Jannetty up by his feet, but Marty begins punching him over the head and slowly gaining momentum.  He then irish whips him across the ring and clothelines him down to the mat, doing it again twice, until Haas finally ducks a clotheline and runs to the ropes, hitting a flying forearm smash of his own.  Storm runs right back into the ring as Haas was running towards Jannetty and nails him over the head with a Superkick which sends him flying to the outside! Storm then grabs Jannetty's legs and hooks them in for the Canadian Maple Leaf which he taps out to in an easy victory for the returning Lance Storm

Don Callis: And that's how it's done, Josh.

Winner: Lance Storm

Sting is out to the ring with a microphone in his hand and a pretty angry expression on his face, as he begins speaking.

Sting: WOOO! Now the only reason I'm out here tonight, is because I want a match, I wanna' wrestler.

Bret Hart's theme song hits over the PA just as Sting says it.  He walks to the top of the entrance ramp with a mic but is unable to look him in the eye when he speaks to him.

Bret Hart: Sting, I can't allow you to do that.  Now for all of you fans that don't know what's been going on lately, that man in the ring was injured this past tuesday night wrestling at an event scheduled in Dayton, Ohio, and I WILL NOT allow him to come here and put his career in danger for a stupid match, as unpopular as that decision may be.

The fans start booeing.

Sting: It's up to ME whether or not I should get back in the ring, Hart, not you.

Bret Hart: LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR FOR YOU, STINGER.  I know what it's like to be gone from that ring, I love to wrestle, and I haven't been able to do that for years.  Now you think that being out of action for two weeks is painful? Try getting into my shoes, try knowing that you'll NEVER.. WRESTLE.. AGAIN FOR THE REST.. OF YOUR LIFE!

Sting: Listen up here, Bret.  I know it's hard for ya' to stop wrestling, but I didn't break my spine or tear my legs, I have a mildly sprained ankle, and I wanna' get into this ring for a match, RIGHT NOW.

Bret Hart: I'm not gonna' allow you to do that, and if you won't listen the easy way, then I might have to do it the hard way.  How did it feel not having a job, Sting? Being unemployed for MONTHS? You better remember that feeling, 'cause if you even decide to step foot in that ring for a single second during a match tonight, then your ass is out of here.

The fans continue to boo Hart's decision, as his music hits over the PA and Sting grabs onto his hair, not knowing what to do.

Eight Man Tag Team Match: Hulk Hogan, Brutus Beefcake and The Nasty Boyz vs. Randy Savage and The New Jersey Triad

The match starts out with Kanyon and Jerry Sags in the ring, and Kanyon taking advantage of the bout.  He corners Sags and begins nailing him over the head with a series of right hands, then tagging in one of his stablemates, Bam Bam Bigelow.  Bigelow irish whips Sags across the ring and into the ropes, giving him a shoulder block and sending him down to the mat.  He picks Sags up to his feet, but gets nailed by a hard right hand, and a tag in to Brian Knobs.  Knobs runs in and clothelines Bigelow, then running to his corner and giving DDP and Kanyon two forearm smashes, before Randy Savage could grab him by his neck and pull it against the top rope, making him fall right down to the mat for a quick two count for Bigelow.  DDP now gets tagged into the bout and he picks Brian Knobs up by his head.  He kicks him in the gut and tries to scoop slam him, but Knobs is obviously way too fat for it.  DDP then runs to the ropes and ducks a clotheline attempt, diving onto Knobs with a flying shoulder block.  He tags Kanyon back in at the same time as Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake makes his way into the bout.  Beefcake punches Kanyon down to the mat twice, then scoop slams him down and runs to the ropes, nailing him with a Hogan-like leg drop for a cover 1...2..kick out!

Josh Matthews: The resiliency by Kanyon!

Don Callis: Only reason he kicked out is 'cause Beefcake is old and sucks, let's face it.

Beefcake grabs Kanyon up by his hair and throws him to his corner, begging for him to tag DDP back in.  Page comes running into the ring and goes for a clotheline, but Beefcake ducks under it and starts nailing DDP with hard right hands right to the face.  He then takes a running start for a final right hand, but DDP ducks it and hits Beefcake with some sort of german suplex.  Randy Savage then finally gets tagged into the bout.  He grabs Beefcake up by his hair and spits right in his face, before throwing him to his corner to make a tag.  Beefcake refuses to and sucker punches Savage from behind as he was taunting the crowd.  He then kicks him in the gut and nails him with a DDT, covering him 1...2...kick out! Beefcake now tags Brian Knobs back in, and Knobs tags in Jerry Sags right away for a double team manover.  They irish whip Savage into the ropes and hit him with a double clotheline, then nailing him down while he's on the mat with a double elbow drop as Sags covers him 1...2...shoulder up! Kanyon and Bigelow run into the ring to beat down the Nasty Boys, but as they are having trouble, DDP joins them as well, and Beefcake joins the brawl also.

Don Callis: What the hell?

Josh Matthews: Now this is a brawl.

Savage is slowly making his way back up to his feet, but he sneaks a pair of brass knuckles on his hands as the referee is trying to break up the brawl on the outside.  The fans are chanting "HOGAN! HOGAN!" and the immortal one makes his way into the ring.  He grabs Savage by his head and turns him around, but gets nailed right in the face with the brass knuckles, which Macho Man quickly disposes of as the referee turns back around.  Savage covers Hogan 1...2...kick out! Macho Man can't believe it.  He goes for another cover 1...2...kick out! Hogan this time is starting to Hulk up.  Savage nails him over the head with right hands, but Hogan isn't feeling any of it.  He walks along the ropes and then finally has enough of it.  He blocks a few Savage punches and nails him with a couple of his own, irish whipping him across the ring and giving him a big boot that sends him down on the mat.  He then signals to the fans that he's gonna hit the leg drop.  He runs to the ropes, but all of a sudden Diamond Dallas Page runs into the ring and gives Hogan the biggest Diamond Cutter he has give in a while! Hogan seems to be down, but you can never be too sure.  The Nasty Boys and Brutus Beefcake are taken care of on the outside, and Kanyon and Bigelow make their way back into the ring to hold Hogan by his head and feet as Savage climbs up to the top rope.  He jumps off and nails Hogan with an elbow drop, as he covers and the referee counts 1...2...3! Savage and The New Jersey Triad have stolen another one.  They continue walking backstage as Hogan looks on in anger

Don Callis: What a veteran move by Savage and The Triad, just fantastic work.

Winner: Randy Savage and The New Jersey Triad

We're taken backstage, where Sting is standing by with his face plastered all over the camera.

Sting: BRET HART.. WOOO! You say that if I wrestle you'll fire me? Fine, I'll take my chances.  It's time for you to make YOUR choice now.  You can fire me, or you can make me wrestle, but just to let ya' know as a preview of what's to happen if you make the wrong decision...

Sting moves the camera down, showing that he's actually standing on top of the building, as Jim Neidhart is packing his bags and putting them in the trunk of his car.  He calmly gets in and drives off, but just as he pulls out of the parking lot, Sting flies off the top of the building with a rope, landing right on the front of the car and breaking through the windows with his legs.  Sting screams out WOO, as the car is now crashed with Jim Neidhart inside of it.  Suddenly, Sting runs out of the way as a HUGE truck runs over the car and sends the EMTs running out to help Jim Neidhart.  Sting grabs the camera again and stares deep into it with a smile as the crowd begins to boo him.

Sting: Hope that makes your decision easier, "Hitman", hahahahaha.

The pay per view fades away on Sting's laughter.
