Ralph Wiley dead at 52.

He was an excellent journalist and could really draw you in with his stories via his usage of humor and pure soul. He came off as honest while engaging, funny while legit, and nice while honest. It's sad to see him go.

Ya that was one of the most touching tributes I've ever seen. I've never read anything from Wiley but the way Wlbon and Kornheiser talked of him he must have been great.

He was a very talented writer, for reasons I described above. Dan Le Batard has a nice story concerning a radio conversation with him a mere day before his passing. You can find it under the "Memories" link near the story of his passing (on the main page of ESPN.com.)

I never saw the PTI tribute, but I heard about it and there is a tribute on ESPN's Page2 of some of his work. Wiley struck me as funny, smart, and all things good in his work.
