Friday Night Smackdown! Results

Trying To Kill A Legend

The show starts off with Bob Orton in the ring, this time without his son, Randy Orton. He says with only 10 days away until No Mercy means there is only 3 days left of The Undertaker's career. He says that Taker better enjoy his time on Smackdown! while it last because at No Mercy, The Legend Killer, Randy Orton, will finish him off for good.

A Gong then is heard throughout the arena as the crowd start to cheer as the lights go out. When the lights go back on, we see The Undertaker standing right behind Bob Orton. So when Bob turns around Taker grabs Orton's throat & goes to chokeslam him but Randy Orton comes out & hits The Undertaker with a steel chair from behind. The two Orton's then start to lay their boots into The Undertaker until the General Manager of Smackdown!, Theodore Long comes out.

Legend vs Legend

Theodore Long says that since you guys can't wait until No Mercy, you will get to wrestle him tonight. The Ortons grin towards each other before Long speaks again. Long then announces that tonight it will be The Undertaker vs Bob Orton. The Orton's go beserk as Long walks backstage.

Heidenreich vs Juventud

For those people who watched Velocity last week you would've realised that in the 6-Man Tag Team Match that Juventud cheated to pin Heidenreich. Well Heidenreich has requested this match on Smackdown! to get revenge.

The match starts with the two men going punch for punch with Heidenreich easily getting the advantage. Heidenreich then whips Juventud into the ropes, Juvi bounces back & he jumps over Heidenreich, Juvi bounces off the ropes again & this time he gets hit with a massive powerslam for a 2-count. Heidenreich then lifts Juvi up & throws him into the corner before hitting a clothesline. Heidenreich then starts chopping Juvi before lifting him up onto the top rope & hitting a samoan drop from the top rope but amazingly, Juvi kicks out at 2. Heidenreich then picks Juvi up & throws him into the ropes but Juvi escapes through the ropes as he needs to recover from the beating he just took. But Heidenreich comes out to the ouside & continues the beating he has put on Juvi as he throws him into the steel steps before throwing him back into the ring. But as the referee is checking on Juvi, Super Crazy comes from out of nowhere & hits a dropkick to back of Heidenreich's head before him hitting the edge of the ring hard. Crazy then throws Heidenreich into the ring as Juvi climbs to the rope to finish him off with the 450 Splash.

Winner: Juventud

After the match, Crazy comes into the ring & he starts laying the boots into Heidenreich with Juvi but Heidenreich's tag team partner, Road Warrior Animal comes down to the ring & saves Heidenreich as Crazy & Juvi leave up the ramp while trash talking Animal.

Kennedy... Kennedy

After the break, Mr. Ken Kennedy makes his way down to the ring as Tony Chimel just stands in the middle of the ring without speaking. When Kennedy enters the ring, Chimel leaves as Kennedy starts to bear an evil smile. The microphone then drops down as Kennedy announces himself before doing his last name twice.

United States Championship

Chris Benoit © vs Ken Kennedy

The match starts off with both men circling each other until they lock up with Benoit getting the advantage by locking in a side headlock takedown. Benoit then lets go as both men get up but as soon as Kennedy does he gets hit with a clothesline from The Rabid Wolverine. Benoit then lifts Kennedy up & starts punching him until he reaches the corner where he starts chopping Kennedy bad but Kennedy reverses it & throws Benoit into the corner & delivers some chops of his own followed by a mudhole stomping on Benoit. Kennedy continues to stomp on Benoit until the referee makes him back away. Kennedy then comes back to Benoit & lifts him up onto the top rope as he goes for a superplex but Benoit starts fighting back with heaps of lefts & rights before pushing him down to the mat. Benoit then goes for his Flying Headbutt but Kennedy rolls out of the way as Benoit crashes onto the mat hard. Both men then lay there on the ground trying to get back up as the referee starts the count. When both men get back up they go blow for blow with Benoit getting the advantage. Benoit then throws Kennedy into the ropes but Kennedy reverses it, Benoit bounces off the ropes & he slides through Kennedy's legs. Benoit then gets up & grabs hold of Kennedy, GERMAN SUPLEX & then another one & then another & another & another. 5 GERMAN SUPLEXES IN A ROW. Both men then try to recover with Benoit getting up first. When Benoit gets up he picks Kennedy up & throws him into the ropes, Kennedy bounces back & Benoit gets him in the Crippler Crossface. Kennedy struggles to get out of the submission but Benoit rolls him onto his back. Kennedy then looks like he is going to tap out but from out of nowhere, Booker T runs into the ring & starts attacking Benoit as the referee rings the bell.

Winner & STILL United States Champion by Disqualification: Chris Benoit

After the bell rings, Kennedy leaves ringside as Booker T continues the assault on Chris Benoit. After the Book Man hits the Book End on Benoit he grabs the United States Title & holds it up in the air as the fans boo the now heel Booker T.

Nothing To Worry About

We cross backstage to the World Heavyweight Champion, Batista who is doing some push-ups until Eddie Guerrero comes into the picture. Batista says to Eddie that last week he knew Eddie wasn't sick & that he was only faking it but Eddie says that he is Batista's friend & that he would never do that to him. Eddie then goes onto say that tonight in the tag match against MNM that he has nothing to worry about because they are La Familia.

Watch Your Back

We cross to another section backstage where Hardcore Holly is drinking a cup of coffee until the French model, Sylvan comes into the camera's view. He said that last week during their match that Holly had ruined his gorgeous face just days before a fashion shoot in Paris & that he now has to get surgery to remove the damage Holly did to him. Sylvan also says to Holly that when he comes back from the surgeon, Holly will have to watch his back.

The Undertaker vs Bob Orton w/ Randy Orton

The Undertaker ended this match quickly with a simple chokeslam in the first ten seconds of this match.

Winner: The Undertaker

After the match, Randy Orton comes into the ring as him & Taker stare down in the middle of the ring. The two then start throwing punches with The Undertaker makes Randy back into the corner. But when it looks like Taker has the advantage, Randy hits him with a low blow followed by a low blow as Randy Orton stands tall over The Undertaker as Smackdown! goes to a commercial break.

No Mercy Match Announced

When we come back from the break we see Palmer Cannon, an executive of UPN & Theodore Long, the General Manager of Smackdown! in Long's office. Cannon says since seeing Booker T with that United States Championship in his hands makes him see that he would be a great United States Champion but he didn't like how he interfered in Ken Kennedy's shot at the gold so he says at No Mercy it will be Chris Benoit vs Booker T vs Ken Kennedy for the United States Title.

Another No Mercy Match Announced + News on JBL & Rey Mysterio

Cannon then says to Long seeing Heidenreich getting pinned by Juventud tonight makes Juvi & Super Crazy the #1 Contenders for the tag team titles & says that No Mercy it will Legion of Doom defending their titles against Juventud & Super Crazy. Long then says since he is speaking of Mexicans, he asked Cannon whether he knew where Rey Mysterio was tonight. Cannon says that before the show JBL paid him some money to not let Rey Mysterio appear tonight while he was away on a business trip because Jillian Hall thought that Mysterio might say something bad that could ruin JBL's image while he was away. Long then says to Cannon that after the show on WWE.com he is going to have his say about that.

(The REAL reason why JBL & Rey weren't on the show because I forgot to book them on EWR).

Eddie Guerrero & Batista vs MNM

Eddie Guerrero & Mercury started off this match while Nitro & Batista were in their corners. The two locked up & Eddie got the advantage with a rake to the eyes as Batista looked on in disgust. Eddie then got Mercury to the corner & started to choke him until Eddie let go at the 4 count. Eddie then hit a DDT before tagging in Batista who is shaking his head. Eddie & Batista then argue until Mercury comes from behind & pushes Batista into Eddie right into the corner. Mercury then whips Batista into his corner as he makes the tag to Nitro. MNM then beatdown the World Champ down into the corner. Nitro then picks Batista up & hits a dropkick that sends him into the ropes, Batista bounces back & Nitro hits an arm drag followed by an attempted DDT but Batista blocks it & reverses it with a suplex. Batista then tags in Eddie as Michael Cole says that tension is building in the air. Eddie walks over to Nitro & stops him from making a tag as he hits a couple of elbow drops followed by a blatant choke as Batista starts getting frustrated as Eddie is reverting back to his old ways. Eddie then lets go as he picks up Nitro & hits the Three Amigo's for a 2-count. Eddie then goes to pick up Nitro but Nitro starts fighting back. Eddie then hits a thumb to the eyes as he drags Nitro over to the corner where Batista is. Batista tags himself in as the two stare at each other once again. Batista comes into the ring & starts working on Nitro by stomping on him before lifting him up & throwing him into the ropes followed by a spinebuster as Nitro bounces back from the ropes. Batista then starts shaking the ring ropes as we all know that the Batista Bomb is coming soon. Batista then does the thumbs up & thumbs down thing as Nitro is struggling to get to his feet. Nitro then turns around as Batista kicks him in the gut & lifts him up & hits the Batista Bomb but Mercury runs in & stops the count. Mercury & Batista start to fight each other with Batista getting the advantage with a clothesline sending Mercury to the outside. Batista then circles the ring as he is waiting for Nitro to get up but Eddie tags himself in. Batista looks at Eddie as the two start to argue so Batista pushes Eddie out of the ring & to the outside as Nitro rolls up Batista for the 3-count.

Winners: MNM

After the match the two men argue in the centre of the ring as Smackdown! goes off the air.

PWInsider.com

Smackdown! scored a 5.91 rating last night on UPN. This is about .50 off RAW's Homecoming rating but the WWE aren't too concerned because they hyped the hell out of Smackdown!.

On Smackdown! Long said he would make an announcment on WWE.com. Well if you go over to the site you will see that he has added another No Mercy match featuring JBL & Rey Mysterio.

John Cena has stated in a recent interview with a radio station that he would love to work with Triple H as he feels they could put on a good match. Take this as what you will as Triple H dislikes John Cena.

Even though JBL & The Undertaker worked against each other for most of 2004, JBL has said to management he would like another match against him. Whether it be on Smackdown! or on a PPV is anyone's guess at the moment.

I have just realised I have booked No Mercy on the wrong date & I just overwrote my previous data. So I'm going to d/l the latest update, make changes & then book all the shows I have done so far.

So, my bad & I will probably have it done by today so I can book No Mercy tommorow & write it during the week.

PWInsider.com

On WWE.com it has just been posted that Hulk Hogan has left the company becuse of him being unhappy about losing to Chris Masters & Carlito last week on Homecoming. Another factor in his departure is that he was paid $300 000 to be on that show & that he would not sign a written contract.

Also on WWE.com, Sylvan has just returned from the surgeon & has said that thanks to Theodore Long it will be him going up against Hardcore Holly at No Mercy. This might be sign of things to come as Sylvan looks to get pushed with his new gimmick.

PWInsider.com

In breaking news, Rob Van Dam who was scheduled to return in November sometime has been floored by a neck injury that will keep him out for 8 more months. This is a big blow to RAW as they had already built a platform for a feud with Carlito when he got drafted over to RAW. There is also news that he might even get fired because the injury might've ruined his wrestling ability.

No Mercy

Legion of Doom 2005 © vs Juventud & Super Crazy (Mexicools)

Super Crazy & Animal start the match as their respective partners are in their corners. The two lock up in the middle of the ring with Crazy getting the advantage with an armdrag followed by a front-legged dropkick (the sort of one Jeff Hardy does). Animal then drags Crazy over to the corner & tags in Heidenreich as the Legion of Doom show some teamwork with a double DDT followed by a 2-count. Heidenreich then hits a couple of elbow drops followed by lifting him up & then hitting a huge clothesline for another 2-count.
