What's Your Genre?

Free-roaming games as mudda mentioned ala GTA, and RPGs. If the Smackdown! games count, then the occasional beat 'em up too.

Generally speaking, if it involves goodly amounts of violence and blood, I'm there. That's why I suffered through Manhunt - awful game, great way to release some excess aggression

I loved Manhunt, it was one of my favorite Rockstar games ever made. That leads me to say that I enjoy stealthy games like Manhunt or Metal Gear Solid (any of the PS/PS2 versions work). I enjoy beat em' up's like Streets of Rage, or Fighting Force (and I guess the Warriors, but that also is free roam). I can say I like just about any genre of game from beat em up, stealthy, sports (except racing games, I fucking hate racing games), run and gun, and wrestling. I really can't stand RPG's, but I am getting into Final Fantasy X even if I think the whole plot is pretty lame. I just can't stand turn based fighting, it's fucking ridiculous.

FPS - Halo 2, Doom 3, Half-Life 2, Star Wars Battlefront II etc.

Sims - FM, TEW, Civ, EWR, Chart Wars, Gamebiz, etc.

RPG - Pokemon, KOTOR (I & II), etc.

And the occasional wrestling game if it's good. Prefer to play sports in reality than in a game, I hate the restricted controls and freedom in sports games.
