I've been playing it for a while lately but I really suck got any tips on how to start out with out going broke ?

The biggest one I can possibly offer - do not, under any circumstances, even consider using air or sea routes until you're well under way, and even rail is a bit risky at the beginning. Stick with roads.

thats what I've been doing. makign roads and setting up bus stops and such but I'm losing money rather than gaining. one thing I must say is this game is addicting

No, road transport doesn't make you alot of money. Use a few trains, but make sure its things like coal or even iron ore to generate alot of income. Believe me i've been playing the game since i was about 7 or 8 and i always use this tactic.

I downloaded it agian the other day....Brought back some great memories. Roads and trains were always the way to go....Small train stations though to begin with, as cool as the four track ones were.

Starting off, ONLY build railways, and ONLY build them according to the subsidies that are offered. You make a ton of money that way. If there are no subsidies on the go at some point, find somewhere where two things that need linked are really close.

I don't even bother with road transport at all, unless it's two cities that are already linked via road very close together that are offering a bus subsidy.

I haven't played it in a while, but I've been to the year 2050 a million times, and have been beyond absurdly rich every time.

One other tip, always, and I mean always, have the transporter wait for full load at the resource pick up point. With passengers, its the other way around, since it tends to be two way.

Has anyone played/downloaded the new version of TTD? Open - Transport Tycoon Deluxe...I'm currently downloading it. Apparently, 'tis quite alot better than the original version...which must mean that it's quite an awesome game!
