I've been youtubing the hell out of that show for the past few days, and I just want to say how much ass it kicks. It manages to cram in so much character development, and gritty action into a twenty minute time span. It is amazingly close to the comics on most of the origins, and manages complex story arcs brilliantly.

I loved the show when I was a kid, and I am appreciate it all the much more now. Between the heartpulling episode about Mr. Freeze, the brilliant decline of Harvey Dent into Two Face, and the sheer badass that is Killer Crock throwing rocks is deserves a thread of praise.

The new series 'The Batman' is meant to be even better, I haven't seen it yet though.

I've got numbers 2 and 3 in the DVD collections, they're very good without a doubt. It's like the comic books, without all the pesky reading ;)

No...just...just no. Bad. Very, very bad. I don't even like the title, since when was he a "The"?

I loved the old Animated Series. That and Spiderman were THE cartoons in the 90's.

Batman TAS is easily the best cartoon series of the 90's. Why? They had great storylines, characters and the best of all: it was how Batman was in the early days of the comics. Very dark and a loner. And also it wasn't campy no offence to the fans of the 60's Batman.

I loved that show, and would also add in the Clayface show in as well, at the end where his face goes spastic and changes into all the other faces and bodies. Awesome. And both episodes with his rival (???) from Japan, and how he could never beat then or now as Wanye. Great storytelling. Damn I may have to pick these up.
