Kind of ironic given the subject of One Way Ticket was coke... anyway, this is kinda gay. I hope that The Darkness and British Whale go on as separate entities if they don't eventually patch things up. The bass player is an alright singer, it's just that he's not really the same as Justin. I went to see them in Sydney this year, and it was an awesome show. They played pretty well everything from their two albums and throughout the show they teased playing some AC/DC, and they eventually did play Highway To Hell and Thunderstruck with the bass player singing.

The Darkness rocked my world.

I think the Darkness were really good. Sure, they were a bit of a parody or pastiche of earlier music, but they were a rare rock band to break the music charts that was actually fun.

Their first album was excellent, the second not as much, but its a bit of a shame they won't be around with Hawkins anymore. I'm not gonna lose sleep over it, but it worked for me.

Though I find the fact that some people seemingly were suprised about his drug addiction pretty ludicrous....quite a few Darkness songs were about drugs and indulging in them.
