WWE Smackdown!

Kennedy welcomes Flair to Smackdown!

Smackdown! General Manager, John Bradshaw Layfield promised the fans a PPV quality Smackdown! this week, and boy did he deliver. And one of the highlights was the Smackdown! debut of 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair. Earlier in the night, Flair took to the ring to a hero's welcome, and claimed he had one good run left in him. 'To be the man, you gotta beat the man' he claimed, 'and I am still the man.....WOOOOO!' This brought out Ken Kennedy, who told Flair that Kennedy was the new man around here. Flair said that Kennedy talked the talk, but when he faces Super Crazy tonight, he needs to walk the walk. In the match up itself, Flair called it right down the middle, and Super Crazy looked for some retribution on Kennedy, nailing him with some hard dropkicks. He almost secured the win with his Triple Moonsault, but Kennedy managed to move on the last one, and went to the top rope and nailed the Green Bay Plunge on Crazy, and Flair reluctantly counted the 3 count. Kennedy's microphone was lowered, and he demanded Flair raise his arm. As he announced himself the winner, he slammed the microphone right into Flair's head, busting the Nature Boy wide open. Kennedy then yelled 'The man.....just.....got......BEATEN!' To add insult to injury, Kennedy went to the top rope, and nailed the bloody Flair with a Kenton Bomb. The last few weeks, Kennedy has shown a mean streak, a streak which now has taken Flair as a victim.

Batista certainly has had a rough time of it lately, as the alliance between Mark Henry and Booker T has stacked the odds firmly against the 'Animal'. Last week infact, Mark Henry showed he is all business, by crushing Kane's throat, and putting him out of action for the next 2-3 months. Well this week, Josh Matthews caught up with Batista as he arrived for his title match, and Batista said he has something instore for Mark Henry and Booker T tonight, if they try and get involved. In the main event of Smackdown!, Batista put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line, against the man who pinned him 2 weeks ago, Montel Vontavious Porter. MVP gave everything he had, and he even nailed Batista with a vicous DDT, but Batista somehoe kicked out. MVP rolled out of the ring, and brought the World Title in with him, ready to nail the champ with it. As Nick Patrcik tried to wrestle the belt from MVP, Booker T took to the ring, and went to nail Batista with a Scissor Kick. But Batista saw it coming, and he planted the 'Booker Man' with a huge Spinebuster.

MVP then charged at Batista, but he recieved a Spinebuster aswell. The sold out crowd went wild, as Batista called for Batista Bomb. He hoisted MVP up, and sent him crashing down with it, and he picked up the 3 count to safely retain his World Heavyweight Championship. As Batista celebrated, Mark Henry walked out, and Batista rolled out of the ring. He went under the ring.....and pulled out a Lead Pipe! Thats the surprise he has instore! Henry stopped in his tracks, and Batista beckoned him and Booker, who had joined Henry on the ramp, to enter the ring now. As they refused, Batista sent them a clear message, by pulling MVP up, and nailing him not once....BUT TWICE.....right between the eyes, busting him wide open. This prompted JBL to walk out, and he claimed that Batista was a disgrace as champion, and it was time for him to be punished. He may have gotten away with it when Long was in charge, but this is JBL's show, and he doesnt want a champion that makes the show look bad. Batista's punishment.....at Judgement Day.....he will put the World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Booker T AND Mark Henry.....in a HANDICAP MATCH! Batista looked shocked as Smackdown! went off the air, as Henry and Booker both smiled. The odds are now heavily stacked against the champion, more than ever.

Edge made his in-ring debut to kick the show off, as he battled Vito. Edge laughed at Vito to begin with, but the man in the dress gave Edge a real run for his money in this one, almost picking up the victory with a swinging neckbreaker. But Edge nailed a Spear, and then slammed Vito to the mat with an Edge-a-Cution for the 3 count. Chris Benoit raced down the ramp to get him some of the 'Rated R Superstar', but Edge hightailed it through the crowd. Later on in the evening, we saw Edge getting into his limo, when Chris Benoit attacked him, slamming him into the limo, and hammering him with right hands. Edge managed to rake Benoit's eyes, and then pushed the 'Rabid Wolverine' into a parked car. This gave Edge enough time to dive into his limo and speed off before Benoit could get anymore of him. Edge seems to be one step ahead of Benoit everytime, but how much longer can he escape the Rabid Wolverine?

Shelton Benjamin continued his fantastic roll since coming to Smackdown!, as he defeated Chavo Guerrero in a fantastic match up to retain his WWE United States Championship. Guerrero showed his new found concentration, and took it to Benjamin with some great technical moves, and nearly won it with the 3 Amigo's, but he missed the follow up Frog Splash. Benjamin should of won it with a sprinboard bulldog, but Chavo kicked out. As Chavo went for the Personal Affliction, Benjamin dropped down, and out of nowhere, nailed Guerrero with the T-Bone suplex to retain his title. He and Regal celebrated, as a dejected Chavo headed up the ramp. As he went backstage, Josh Matthews caught up with Chavo, and asked him how he felt after coming so close to gaining the gold. Chavo said he was disapointed, but he was going to come back stronger. Chavo then took a sip of his water, and quickly spat it out. The crowd went wild as it wasnt water.....IT WAS WORMS!! Chavo tipped the bottle out, and nothing but worms came out. Chavo ran off terrified.......it seems Chavo has got himself a new stalker.....THE BOOGEYMAN!!

Last week, Gregory Helms told the fans he wanted more gold, and then defeated Brian Kendrick in a one on one contest. This week, before his match with Paul London, the WWE Tag Team Champions told Helms if he wanted his shot, he could have it. All he had to do was find himself a partner. Helms responded mysteriously by saying 'Ive already made the call'. In a fast paced match up, Helms once again out did the champions, by picking up the victory. Helms and London went at it, and Helms almost got the victory when he nailed a neckbreaker from the top rope. London nailed a nice Dropsault, and went up top, but missed the 450 Splash. Helms then nailed Kendrick with a baseball slide, and went out of the ring to brawl with London's partner, for no apparent reason. That reason soon became clear enough, as none other than the 'Prince of Punk' Shannon Moore hopped the fan barrier, took hold of London's tag title belt, entered the ring, and blasted the champion with it. With the referee distracted by Helm's and Kendricks brawl, Moore quickly left the ring. Helms re-entered, and pinned London, meaning that Helms has a victory over both champions. Helms and Moore celebrated......it seems he has his partner.

Also, Matt Striker said that next week on Smackdown!, he was ready to fully make an impact. Kane and Benoit caught him off guard, but he mentally prepared, and he will take on Smackdown's number one! Is Matt Striker prepared to call out Batista?

Smackdown! Rating

This weeks Smackdown! got a 6.01 rating, which isnt as high as last week, but we are happy with your consistant 6+ ratings.

Smackdown! Lookback

JBL promised a PPV quality Smackdown! to counter act RAW's Backlash PPV, and he certainly delivered. Batista defended the gold against the cocky, MVP, and he walked out victorious, despite Booker T's best efforts. As Batista levelled Booker with a Spinebuster, Mark Henry made his way to the ring.....but this time, Batista was prepared. Armed with a lead pipe, Batista beckoned the 'Worlds Strongest Man' into the ring. Henry retreated with Booker, as Batista decimated MVP as a message, which drew JBL out. He said Batista needed to be punished and made the first match for Judgement Day: Batista defending his title in a handicap match against BOTH Booker T and Mark Henry. The odd's have always been stacked against Batista, but maybe now, the odds will be too over whelming.

This past Smackdown! marked the debut of the 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair. As Flair took in the adulations of the fans, he claimed he had one good run left in him. Kennedy came out, and told Flair that he was the new man around here. During Kennedy's match up with Super Crazy, Flair had to call the 3 count and award Kennedy the match up. But it was then that Kennedy struck, nailing Flair with his signature microphone, and busting him open. Flair wont take this lying down.

For weeks now, Chavo has been experiencing some.....'technical difficulties'. Whether it be backstage, or in the ring, the lights kept flickering, and then turning red. And now we know why. After narrowly missing out on the US Title in a great match with Shelton Benjamin, Chavo was interviewed backstage by Josh Matthews. During the interview, Chavo sipped his water and spat it straight out.....the bottle was filled with worms. Chavo ran off.....but it seems as if The Boogeyman is back, and has picked his latest target.

RAW

John Cena and Randy Orton's feud escalated, as John Cena pummeled Randy Orton with a steel chair, after Randy Orton defeated Tatanka. Triple H told HBK that at Backlash, DX will certainly die. And if he is going down, he's taking HBK with him. Also, Lashley and Carlito agreed to a match up, and then Carlito cost Lashley his match up with Charlie Haas. And The Undertaker returned and told Umaga that at Backlash, he would send him to hell in their First Blood Match.

ECW

RVD and Chris Masters were at it again, as in Chris Masters match with The Sandman, RVD attacked, and nailed the Masterpiece with a 5 Star Frog Splash. Sabu had Bill Alfonso tell Jeff Hardy that Sabu wants a match where a time limit doesnt stop him winning the belt. Jeff says next week, he will reveal his plan. Test brutally attacked Balls Mahoney, but again, Snitsky stood up to the bully, and blasted him with another Big Boot.

WWE Backlash

Randy Orton retained his WWE Title against Cena in street fight, when he nailed an RKO off the stage. HHH and HBK came to a no contest as both men battled through out the arena. Umaga won the First Blood Match against The Undertaker, when Estrada wiped the blood from Umaga's face and wiped it on Taker's as the ref was knocked out. And Lashley defeated Carlito with the Dominator. Melina took the Women's Title from Mickie James, and Cryme Time retained their Tag Titles against Worlds Greatest Tag Team.

WWE Smackdown! Superstar Of The Week

Benoit Gets His Re-Match For The US Title!

A month ago, Shelton Benjamin defeated Chris Benoit, all be it with the help of Edge, to win the WWE United States Championship on his first night back on Smackdown!. Tonight, the re-match clause in Benoit's contract has been cashed in, and these 2 promise to treat us to another stellar main event for what is becomming a highly coverted title belt. Will Shelton Benjamin's roll on Smackdown! continue? Or will Benoit's rage, spurred on by his inability to get his hands on Edge, fuel him to victory? Also tonight, we will hear from the World Heavyweight Champion, Batista, as he talks about his upcoming match at Judgement Day, where he faces BOTH Mark Henry and Booker T with his title on the line. One thing's for sure. The Champ isnt happy.

Last week, Ric Flair officiated the Ken Kennedy/Super Crazy match on his Smackdown! debut. Little did he know, Ken Kennedy was going to violently assault him like he did. It seems Kennedy's recent mean streak will continue, but this week, Ric Flair will face Simon Dean, and has already told wwe.com that he will confront Kennedy tonight. We cant wait! Also tonight, a 4 man Elimination Match will take place to see who will face Gregory Helms at Judgement Day for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. The participants will be Psicosis, Chavo Guerrero, Super Crazy & Jimmy Wang Yang. But will Super Crazy be fully fit after his mini-war with Ken Kennedy? And will Chavo be able to concentrate knowing that he has somehow garnered the attentions of The Boogeyman? It promises to be a high flying showcase whatever happens!

Matt Striker has made few friends since joining Smackdown!, but last week, he declared he would face Smackdown!'s number one this week. Will Matt Striker really call out Batista tonight, knowing full well what kind of mood the champ is in? Also tonight, Shannon Moore, who returned last week, will face the man he attacked, Paul London, in a one on one contest. It looks to be a fantastic night of action, dont miss.....

Batista Shows No Fear Of The Odds!

At Judgement Day, the odd's will be severly stacked against the World Heavyweight Champion, Batista. He puts his title on the line in a handicap match against BOTH Booker T and Mark Henry. But through out his career, the odd's have been stacked against him. When he had to defeat 29 other men to win the Royal Rumble. When he had to dethrone HHH in a Wrestlemania main event. When he stepped into the Hell in a Cell and ended HHH's unbeaten streak. And even when he returned from a horrendous back injury to regain his title. And Batista looks set to do this time, what he has done every other time: Battle the odds head on!

Earlier in the night, Batista confronted General Manager, JBL about the match up. JBL told Batista he was a disgrace to the title, and Batista merely laughed it off. He told JBL that tonight, he would prove that he isnt afraid. And Batista surely did that. He came to the ring and called out both men, saying that if they wanted to get this party started early, then Batista has an open invitation. Not wanting to pass up an oppurtunity to weaken the champ, Booker T and Mark Henry walked down the ramp. As they approached the ring, Batista pulled his trusty lead pipe out of his blazer, and beckoned them in. Booker slid in, thinking Henry had aswell, but was left all alone. Batista nailed him right between the eyes with the pipe, and rolled out, and began brawling with Henry, the first time he has got his hands on the 'Worlds Strongest Man' since being attacked by him at Wrestlemania 23. As they brawled, Smackdown! officials came out to seperate the two men, and despite protesting that he wanted more of Batista, Mark Henry looked more than happy to leave the fight. But he could do nothing but watch, as Batista re-entered the ring and gave Booker T a ring shaking Spinebuster. Batista held his title high and proud as Smackdown! came off the air.....there is no fear in the 'Animal'.

The main event this week, saw Chris Benoit call in his rematch, and he and Shelton Benjamin once again proved why the WWE US Title is so highly contested. Benoit went for the 3 German Suplex's, but on the third one, Benjamin flipped the whole way over and landed on his feet, and then caught Benoit with a superkick. Benjamin showed great athletisism when Benoit went to the top rope, as he ran and leapt right up next to him and sent him crashing down with a Superplex. With Regal urging him on, Benjamin took control, even nailing a top rope leg drop, and a Northern Lights Suplex. But Benoit showed his resilliance and kicked out. As Benjamin went for the Dragon Whip, Benoit ducked, and Benjamin accidently hit the referee. Both men then collided into one another, and everyone was down.....CUE EDGE!! Edge walked down smiling, and he roughly pulled the US Title from Regal, and shoved him to the floor. He entered the ring, and stalked Benoit, waiting for the Rabid Wolverine to get to his feet. When Benoit did, Edge charged.....but Benoit moved, and Benjamin was behind him. But Regal had crawled into the ring, and he dived infront of his protege, and took the blow fully in the face. Benoit then nailed Edge with a German Suplex, and Edge fled from the ring. Benoit turned.....T-BONE SUPLEX! Benjamin covered, and retained his title.

Ric Flair has won so much in his career, 16 World Titles, Tag Titles, even a run as the WWE Intercontinental Champion a year or so back. But one this he has always had from the people, is their respect. But last week, Ken Kennedy proved that he had absolutly none for the Nature Boy, smashing Flair in the skull with his trademark microphone in a sickening, unprovoked attack. Kennedy claimed that he had just beaten the man, Flair saw it as a slap in the face.....literally. This week on Smackdown!, Flair started the show off by coming to the ring, and calling Kennedy out. He said 'Kennedy.....if you want to fight me, just name the time and place. Because pal....you havent beaten the man.....you just pissed him off!' Later on in the night, Flair faced Simon Dean in one on one competition, and showed the Smackdown! faithful what he had to offer. A barrage of stinging chops, and a nice back drop left Dean down, and Flair locked on the Figure Four to secure a win on his in-ring debut. But as Flair celebrated, Kennedy jumped the rail and entered from behind, hammering Flair with a steel chair. As the boo's reigned in, Kennedy took a mic and said 'I will beat the man.....AT JUDGEMENT DAY!'

Matt Striker claimed last week that he was ready to fully make an impact on Smackdown!, and he was going to call out Smackdown!'s number one........announcer! The crowd booed Striker, as Funaki walked out ready for the match up, and Striker quickly assaulted him as he entered. Striker showed a good arsenal, almost winning the match with a nice delayed back breaker. But Striker did pick up the win after nailing Funaki with the Golden Rule. But Striker's reputation of making enemies, not friends, continued, as he walked through the back area. He bumped into Jamie Noble, and told Noble to watch his step. The tough Texan told Striker he didnt like him, and sooner or later, someone will have to shut Striker up. Also, we now know who will face Gregory Helms for his WWE Cruiserweight Championship at Judgement Day, as a 4 Man Elimination match was held this week to determine the challenger. The 4 men were Psicosis, Jimmy Wang Yang, Super Crazy and Chavo Guerrero. And boy.....what a match it was.

Psicosis was the first man to be eliminated, when Jimmy Wang Yang showed his aerial expertise, by nailing his spectacular Yang Time finishing move. Chavo then took complete control of the match, slowing down the pace with his more grounded, technical ability. He even nailed Super Crazy with the 3 Amigo's, but Yang shoved Chavo from the top rope to the outside as he went for the Frog Splash. Yang then went to the top to hit Super Crazy with the Yang Time, but Crazy moved out of the way. Crazy then nailed a Moonsault off all 3 turnbuckles, and pinned Jimmy Yang to eliminate him. Chavo re-entered, and just as he went to nail Super Crazy with the Personal Affliction, he heard the most chilling sentance uttered in Smackdown! history. 'Im The BoogeyMan.....And Im Comin To Getcha!' And through the smoke and red lights, with the clock hanging from his mouth, walked The Boogeyman, his eyes fixed on Chavo. Chavo's face told a thousand words, and with this distraction, Super Crazy rolled him up....and got the 3 count. Super Crazy will face Gregory Helms at Judgement Day. Chavo didnt seem to care, he just ran from the ring and through the crowd to escape his new found stalker. But backstage, Chavo was greeted by an unsympathetic JBL. JBL told Chavo that he loved Eddie Guerrero, and Chavo has spent the last year or so dragging his name through the mud. Its time to let Eddie lay in peace, and at Judgement Day......Chavo will be in action.....against.....THE BOOGEYMAN!! Chavo didnt seem too pleased at all.

Also, Shannon Moore made his in-ring return to Smackdown! this week, and he defeated WWE Tag Team Champion, Paul London. As London went to nail the 'Prince of Punk' with the 450 Splash, Gregory Helms slid in his WWE Cruiserweight Championship, which distracted the referee. Helms then hopped onto the ring apron and pushed London to the mat. Moore took advantage of this, and followed up by nailing London with the Halo to pick up the win. Backstage, Helms and Moore approached JBL, and said that they have more than earnt their tag title shot. JBL agreed, and Helms said that seen as how he will be the breakout player in 2007, their match should be at Judgement Day. Moore reminded Helms that he will have to defend his Cruiserweight Championship against Super Crazy at the PPV, but Helms said 'It doesnt matter......because there is no one who handles pressure better than a champion of 16 months!' Helms may be arrogant, and may have his head in the clouds, but there is no denying that he has had a terrific reign. And at Judgement Day, will he walk away with another title?

Smackdown! Rating

We got a 6.03 rating this past week. Again, this is the 5th week running we have scored a 6+ rating, and we are thrilled.

Smackdown! Lookback

It appears that Batista is showing no fear of the tremendous task at Judgement Day, where he defends his title in a Handicap Match against Booker T and Mark Henry. This past Smackdown!, Batista called both men out, and they duely obliged. But as Booker entered the ring, Batista pulled out his lead pipe and nailed Booker right between the eyes. He then brawled all the way up the rampway with Henry, until Smackdown! officials broke up the fight. The Worlds Strongest Man then had to look on, as Batista gave Booker T a ring shaking Spinebuster. Batista has never backed down from a fight for aslong as we can remember, and it seems he is going into Judgement Day to do just that: Fight!

Last week, Ric Flair was assaulted for no reason by Ken Kennedy. Kennedy has been on the war path since losing to Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 23, and this week, the 'Nature Boy' called out Kennedy, saying if Kennedy wanted to face him, all he had to do was name the time and the place. Later on in the night, Flair made quick work of Simon Dean in his in-ring debut, making the Fitness Guru tap out to the Figure Four. But then Kennedy entered the ring with a steel chair, and clattered Flair in the back with it. He then said he will 'Beat The Man.....AT JUDGEMENT DAY!' What a match up that promises to be.

Gregory Helms has solidifed his place in the WWE History Books, as he has held the WWE Cruiserweight Championship for nearly a staggering 16 Months! But he isnt content with just that, and this week, JBL announced that he and his partner, Shannon Moore, will receive a Tag Title Shot. Helms decided to have it at Judgement Day, where he also has to defend his WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Super Crazy, he may have his work cut out. But Helms's ego doesnt seem to care all too much.

WWE Judgement Day

You know the date.....Sunday 20th May, WWE Smackdown! will present Judgement Day LIVE on Pay-Per-View. And this past week, a number of matches were added.

WWE RAW

Coming off the back of the Street Fight with Cena, Randy Orton found himself staring into the eyes of a new enemy this week.....The Great Khali. Orton said that if Khali wanted to be killed, next week, it will go down. Cena was fuming when he arrived at RAW, and shoved Torrie Wilson into a wall. Later in his match with HHH, Carlito ran out to get him some of Cena. Speaking of HHH, he said that he and Shawn Michaels will go at it again soon enough. The Worlds Greatest Tag Team won the World Tag Titles from Crime Tyme, using the title belt as a weapon to do so.

ECW

RVD defened and retained his against Chris Masters, but in controversial fashion, as RVD passed out to the Masterlock. ECW head honcho, Joey Styles claimed that the title couldnt change hands under that ruling. Also, Sabu and Jeff Hardy agreed to a LADDER MATCH next week on ECW Sci-Fi. And Gene Snitsky finally got a Big Boot from Test, when he faced Stevie Richards one on one. And Finlay brutally assaulted CM Punk, after Punk beat him in their match up.

WWE Smackdown! Superstar Of The Week

Super Crazy

Since coming to Smackdown!, Super Crazy has been in a mini war with Ken Kennedy, getting 2 victories over the self proclaimed 'Voice of Smackdown!' Now that the war is over, Super Crazy has turned his attentions to the Cruiserweight Division, and won a title shot at Judgement Day by defeating Psicosis, Jimmy Yang & Chavo Guerrero.

WWE Smackdown! Preview

Friday 11th May 2007

Last week on Smackdown!, Edge proved that he is always one step of Chris Benoit, by once again costing him the WWE United States Championship. As Benoit was about to secure the win, Edge charged in, and went to nail the Rabid Wolverine with the US Title belt. Benoit ducked, and Edge nailed Benjamin's mentor, William Regal. Benoit attacked the Rated R Superstar, but Benjamin used it to his advantage, as he then nailed the unsuspecting Benoit with a T-Bone Suplex to secure his title. The war between Benoit and Edge has escalated for weeks now, and this week they will step in the ring togethor, on different teams. Smackdown! GM, JBL has seen it fit to give us a Handicap Match as a preview to Batista's demise this week, as Benoit teams with Batista to face Edge, and Batista's opponents at the Pay Per View, Mark Henry and Booker T. Its a star studded main event, and will be off the chain.

On Smackdown! last week, Ken Kennedy challenged Ric Flair to a match at Judgement Day, that Flair agreed to. This week, The Nature Boy goes one on one with Matt Striker. Striker got his first win last week, over Funaki. Flair is an entirely different challenge, but will he have his mind on the 'Voice of Smackdown!'? Also this week, Chavo Guerrero will go one on one with the number one contender to the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, Super Crazy. A win for Chavo will stake a claim that he should face Helms at Judgement Day. But he already has a match set.....he has to face The Boogeyman!

And tag team action will be brought to us this week, as Shelton Benjamin and William Regal team up to face Gregory Helms and Shannon Moore. Its going to be a great night of action.....dont miss......

WWE Smackdown!, this friday at 8pm.....only on the CW Network!

Booker T: The Next World Heavyweight Champion?

If people needed any proof that the numbers game could cost Batista his precious World Heavyweight Championship, they got it this week on Smackdown! As a special preview for the fans, Smackdown! GM, JBL, booked a 3 on 2 handicap main event, which pitted Batista and Chris Benoit, against Edge, Booker T and Mark Henry. Earlier in the night, Benoit approached Batista and said that they were being set up to be screwed. Batista's simply answered, 'Well lets screw them instead!' But that wasnt the case, as Mark Henry pretty much raged a one man war path through both men, especially after Edge told Mark Henry backstage to try and weaken the Rabid Wolverine. Edge did get his wish, as after a massive powerslam, Henry tagged Edge in, and the Rated R Superstar hammered away at Benoit with vicous rights, and almost won it with a spear. But Benoit showed his resilliance and kicked out. They both tagged out, but that wasnt the end of their fighting. They continued to brawl all the way around the ring, and through the fans to the backstage area, leaving Batista to face the 2 men......now we had a real preview of Judgement Day on our hands.

Batista fought with everything he had, and he nearly won it when he nailed Mark Henry with a Spinebuster, only for Booker to break it up. Earlier in the night, Booker T told Mark Henry that he could have Batista at Judgement Day, aslong as Booker takes the World Championship. And on this evidence, it looks like it may very well go down like that. As Batista went for a Batista Bomb on Henry, Booker T nailed a Superkick to the Animal, who then fell prey to a Worlds Strongest Slam, and Mark Henry picked up the 3 count. But that wasnt enough, as Henry held Batista in positon for Booker T to blast the champion with his very own title belt. Smackdown! ending with an onimous sign to the champion......Henry standing over his broken and beaten body, and Booker T holding the World Heavyweight Championship high and proud for all to see. At Judgement Day, will Booker T reclaim the gold? Will he be the next World Heavyweight Champion?

Speaking of Edge and Chris Benoit, their rivalry has been ripping Smackdown! apart for the last month or so. And this week, it looks like a date has been set for them to meet. May 20th.......JUDGEMENT DAY! Edge came to the ring to kick off Smackdown!, and said the only reason he cost Chris Benoit the title again, is because Benoit is hogging the main events, and hogging the spotlight. Edge said that the spotlight belonged to him, because he equalled ratings. This drew out Chris Benoit, who told Edge that he wasnt out here to fight him, but to make a deal with him. Benoit said that he would be willing to share the spotlight with Edge.....at Judgement Day. All Edge had to do was be a man and accept it. Edge refused to accept the challenge, and turned to leave the ring. Suddenly he burst at Benoit and took the Rabid Wolverine down with a devastating Spear. Edge picked up the microphone, and got right in Benoit's ear. 'At Judgement Day Benoit, Im not gonna share the spotlight with you......IM GONNA TAKE THE WHOLE THING!' These 2 men have been at each others throats since Edge first stepped foot in a Smackdown! ring, and now we know that they will collide in just over a weeks time.

Another highly anticipated match for Judgement Day is the Ken Kennedy vs Ric Flair match. This week on Smackdown!, Ric Flair was interviewed by Josh Matthews. 'Ive done alot of things in my career, Ive won 16 World Titles, Ive won the Royal Rumble, and at Judgement Day, Im gonna add Ken Kennedy to the list of names that have fallen to the Nature Boy.' He continued: 'See Ken, Ive heard it all before. Cocky young punks who think they can make a name off mine. Kennedy, your dime a dozen, but I am one of a kind. Woooooo!' And Flair proved his worth later on in the night, when he took 'The Teacher' Matt Striker to school in their match up, going old school on the cocky superstar. After nailing a series of hard chops, Flair nailed a low blow when the ref wasnt looking, and then locked on the Figure Four for the submission victory. But then Ken Kennedy took to the ring and took Flair down with a low blow of his own. As Kennedy and Striker put the boots to Flair, none other than Jamie Noble raced to the ring with a steel chair in hand. The 2 bailed, and the crowd gave Noble a big cheer for saving their legend. And things went from bad to worse for Striker, as JBL approached him backstage and informed him that at Noble's request, he has set up a match between the 2 at Judgement Day.

One man who isnt looking forward to Judgement Day, is Chavo Guerrero. For weeks now, he has been the subject of alot of spooky incidents, and its down to The Boogeyman. This week, Chavo told the Smackdown! fans that he will go to Judgement Day and he will beat the Boogeyman. The lights began to flicker, and Chavo screamed 'IM NOT AFRAID OF THE BOOGEYMAN!' Chavo's opponent for the night, Super Crazy came down for the match up, and they treated us to a great cruiserweight spectacle, that can only be seen on Smackdown!. Chavo tried everything to steal Crazy's title shot from him, and looked set to win with the 3 Amigo's. But Crazy reversed the third one into a thunderous Tornado DDT. Crazy then went to the top rope, and secured the win with a moonsault. Super Crazy is on a roll at Judgement Day, where he looks to end Gregory Helms's 16 month reign as Cruiserweight Champion. As Chavo left the ring however, the lights turned red, and suddenly, millions of worms fell from the ceiling and landed all over the entrance ramp. Chavo looked scare to death, as Boogeyman's voice echoed around the arena. 'One......Two.....Boogeyman's comin for you!' Chavo high tailed it through the crowd and left the arena.

Over the past few weeks, we have seen a friendship grow between Shelton Benjamin and William Regal, who has taken the WWE United States Champion under his wing. Their friendship was solidified when Regal took the belt shot from Edge last week to help his protege retain his title. But this week, they teamed to take on the number one contenders for the Tag Titles, Gregory Helms and Shannon Moore, in a great opening match on Smackdown!. Moore showed some great high flying expertise, nailing Regal with a Headscissors, and a Frankensteiner. Helms and Benjamin also treated the fans to some fantastic chain wrestling, which Benjamin got the better of, until Helms nailed a beautiful neck breaker. As the end neared, Helms went for the Shining Wizard. But as he took his run up, London and Kendrick's theme hit, distracting the Cruiserweight Champ, and he missed Benjamin. The US Champ then nailed a T-Bone suplex and picked up the win, much to Helms's frustration. As the two celebrated backstage, JBL said that he was happy to see them building a great friendship. And he said at Judgement Day, we will see how true their friendship truly is, as Shelton Benjamin defends his United States Championship.....against William Regal! The two men looked at each other, and didnt have anything to say as JBL seemed to amuse himself.

Just wanted to say that I've been reading and I am anjoying this quite a lot. You may not get a lot of responses, but Keep going and it won't be long before the feedback starts pouring in. I'd comment more often myself, but I don't get a great deal of spare time.

I like how all your booking is realistic, yet its actually good and makes sense too. Looking forward to JD!.. oh and I like the recaps you have of RAW and ECW, a nice touch.

Smackdown! Rating

We got a 5.97 rating this week, which is the first time since the draft that we have scored below 6. We arent concerned, as it is more of a blip than anything.

Smackdown! Lookback

It certainly looks like the odd's are stacked against Batista come Judgement Day, and we were treated to a first hand look this sunday during the main event. Batista and Benoit were taking on Edge, Booker T and Mark Henry in a handicap match, when Edge and Benoit let their bad blood spill over and they brawled through the arena. This left Batista on his own, and despite his best efforts, he succumbed to a Worlds Strongest Slam, and Henry got the win. To add insult to injury, Booker T blasted Batista with the belt. The 2 seem to have an understanding, that Henry can have Batista, and Booker can have the belt. It doesnt bode well for the champion.

Since winning the WWE United States Championship, Shelton Benjamin has been undefeated, and has built a solid friendship with William Regal, who has taken the youngster under his guidance. After the 2 defeated Gregory Helms and Shannon Moore in tag team action, General Manager, JBL, said he wanted to test their friendship, and at Judgement Day, they will square off against each other for the WWE United States Championship.

Chavo Guerrero this week came out to the ring and told the world that he wasnt afraid of The Boogeyman. Well.....he didnt make us believe it at all. After Super Crazy defeated him in their match up, the lights once again went off and on. Chavo screamed, 'IM NOT AFRAID OF YOU!', until an army of worms fell from the ceiling onto the rampway. Chavo hightailed it, but at Judgement Day, Chavo will have to face his fears......he will have to face The Boogeyman!

WWE RAW

Randy Orton challenged The Great Khali last week, and this week he regretted it, as Khali dominated the champion from start to finish. As Orton went for the RKO, he failed to pull Khali down, and a Choke Bomb later, and Khali pinned the champion. Carlito held his Cabana, and his guest was Cena. They ended up brawling, with Cena spitting an apple at Carlito. Shawn Michael's faced Umaga, but HHH interefered. Just as it looked like HBK was doomed for, The Undertaker appeared and cleaned house. He pointed at Umaga.....their war is far from over!

ECW

The main event this week saw Jeff Hardy retain his "ECW" Intercontinental Championship in a breath taking Ladder Match with Sabu, after a Swanton off the ladder. RVD agreed that he and Masters will see who the better man is soon enough. And Gene Snitsky teamed with CM Punk to defeat Test and Finlay thanks to CM Punk locking Finlay in the Ananconda Vice.

WWE Smackdown! Superstar Of The Week

Mark Henry

Whether you like him or not, their is no denying that Mark Henry is the most dominant force on Smackdown! right now. 2 weeks ago, he dismantled Kane and put him on the injury list. And this week, he clean pinned Batista in the main event. Can anything stop the 'Worlds Strongest Man?'

WWE Smackdown! Preview

Friday 18th May 2007

Batista's Last Friday Night As Champ?

Fans, we are just 2 days away from Judgement Day, and after what happened last week, we have got the clearest indication yet, that Batista maybe about to kiss his title goodbye. We do know that the Champ will be in the house tonight, and will obviously have an eye on our huge main event, that pits one of the men he faces at the PPV, Booker T, against Chris Benoit. One man not in the house tonight is the 'Rated R Superstar' Edge, but he has sent a message to Chris Benoit. What could it be? And will the numbers game take Chris Benoit like it did Batista last week?

Also tonight, with just 2 days from Judgement Day, Smackdown! GM, JBL has booked a massive tag team match up, that will pit Ken Kennedy and Matt Striker against their opponents at the event, Ric Flair and Jamie Noble. And Shelton Benjamin faces Montel Vontavious Porter in a non-title match up. This is MVP's first appearence back since his beating at the hands of Batista. And he has the chance to upset the US Champ, as Benjamin will no doubt have his mind on the fact he has to face his friend and mentor, William Regal at Judgement Day.

In other action tonight, the number one contender for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, Super Crazy will be in action tonight, against the champ's tag team partner Shannon Moore. Helms is 'resting', enlight of the fact that he has TWO matches this sunday. And Chavo Guerrero, despite being tormented by The Boogeyman, and who has an impending match with the wierdo at Judgement Day, will take on Scotty 2 Hotty. Its going to be a wild night, its the last stop before Judgement Day, dont miss.....

WWE Smackdown!, Friday at 8pm on the CW Network!

WWE Smackdown!

Friday 18th May 2007

Going Down Fighting!

We are just 2 days from Judgement Day, and World Heavyweight Champion, Batista has proven that no matter what happens this sunday, he wont back down. The Champ made sure that if this is the last Smackdown! he is champion for, he was gonna go out with a bang! Early in the evening, Smackdown! GM, JBL approached Batista, and laughed at the insumountable odds he faces this sunday. He said to the champ that this sunday, he is going to hell. Batista's response: 'If Im going to hell.....Im taking Booker and Henry with me!' And by the end of the night, Batista proved that he may do just that. As Booker was preparing for his main event match up with Chris Benoit, he told his partner Henry, to wait by the curtain to attack Batista if he came out. Booker left the room, and as he closed the door, Batista was standing behind it. To the delight of the fans, he brutalized Mark Henry in the locker room, ramming his head into the lockers and laying him out with a steel chair. And then, to really scupper Booker's plans, Batista barracaded the door so Henry was locked in.

In the main event itself, Booker T and Chris Benoit, who have a much storied past, went at it tooth and nail, proving why they are 2 of Smackdown!'s premier stars. Booker T showed his ruthlessness, hammering Benoit with some stiff kicks, and nearly won the match with a Missile Dropkick. Benoit rallied back, and he nailed 6.....THATS 6......German Suplex's to the Booker Man. Benoit went up top, but Booker rolled out of the way as he soared through the air and missed the Diving Headbutt. Booker got back up and went for the Scissor Kick, but Benoit moved, and locked on the Crossface. Booker got to the ropes just in time, as these 2 were giving the fans one of the best main events in recent memory. Booker nailed the BookEnd, but Benoit somehow kicked out. Benoit went for a German Suplex when he got up, but Booker rolled through, and grabbed the ropes, picking up the victory. As he left laughing, Batista walked out, and Booker T had an evil smile on his face.....that was until he realised that Mark Henry wasnt lying in wait. As Batista approached Booker, Chris Benoit rolled out and shoved Booker T towards the Champ, and he nailed a Spinebuster.....right on the steel steps. Batista may have the odd's stacked against him this sunday, but we know now......the Animal....IS UNLEASHED!!

Speaking of Chris Benoit, this sunday, his war with Edge, which has ripped Smackdown! apart for nearly two months now, will come to a head, as they battle it out at Judgement Day. Edge wasnt in attendance tonight, but he did leave Benoit a pre-recorded message. 'Chris.....you think your tough, you think your the toughest guy to ever step foot in that ring. Well prove it.' He said, 'At Judgement Day, why dont we make our match up just like me.......NO HOLDS BARRED!' Chris Benoit obviously saw the message, because as he was interviewed by Josh Matthews just before his match with Booker T, he told the world that he accepts the challenge. 'If Edge wants to have his career ended early, then Im happy to oblige. Because this sunday, Edge will realise once and for all that Chris Benoit is FOR REAL! And this sunday.....it will be Edge's Judgement Day.....and I will be the Executioner!' The war has raged since the first day of Edge's return to Smackdown!, and shows no sign of halting soon, as these 2 men look to tear each other apart this sunday.

Also this sunday, Ric Flair will face Ken Kennedy in one on one action. But this week, they met in tag team action, as Ric Flair teamed with Jamie Noble to take on Ken Kennedy, and the man Noble faces this sunday, Matt Striker. This match was back and fourth, with the crowd cheering for every chop Flair landed on the self proclaimed 'Voice of Smackdown!' Flair even went as far as to lock Kennedy in the Figure Four Leglock on the outside of the ring, much to the delight of the cheering fans. In the ring however, Matt Striker tried to put Jamie Noble away with the Golden Rule, but Noble reversed it, and nailed a Tiger Bomb to pick up the win. Will Noble be able to do the same come Judgement Day? As Noble was declared the victor, Ken Kennedy anrgily entered the ring and attacked Noble from behind. But before he could do any serious damage, Ric Flair eneterd, and he nailed some stinging chops, before sending Kennedy over the ropes with a clothesline. The 2 men stared each other down, but this sunday, their rivalry will reach new heights when they meet one on one.

One man who is looking to reach new heights, is Super Crazy. This sunday, he goes one on one with Gregory Helms, hoping to end the 16 MONTH reign that Helms has had over the division. This week, he went one on one with Helms's partner, Shannon Moore, who he teams with to face the WWE Tag Team Champions this sunday aswell. Helms watched from ringside, and if he needed any evidence that Super Crazy may just be his toughest challenge to date, then he got it. Super Crazy gave Shannon Moore everything he had, including a springboard DDT that nearly brought the 3 count. Helms stood up at the commentary table, distracting Crazy, and Moore took control after landing a neckbreaker. But as Moore went for the Halo, Crazy moved, and he nailed the Triple Moonsault on Shannon Moore to pick up the win. EVer the oppurtunist, Helms entered the ring and attacked his opponent in a bid to weaken him before sunday night. But Paul London and Brian Kendrick raced to the ring to stop Helms and Moore from inflicting any damage upon the luchadore. Helms stood watch from the ramp, as the opponents from his TWO matches this sunday stared him down. Maybe Helms has finally bitten off more than he can chew.

Friendship is hard to find in the WWE, but fans have witnessed a friendship between Shelton Benjamin and William Regal that has seen Shelton Benjamin become a major player on Smackdown!. Since winning the WWE United States Championship, Benjamin has been on a roll, and he faced the returning Montel Vontavious Porter this week in a non-title match up. Regal looked on, as the 2 youngsters took it to each other, with MVP looking to get back in the title hunt. As the match drew to a close, MVP went out of the ring and took the WWE United States Belt. As he weighed Benjamin up, Regal entered and took it from the rookie, who then turned around.....right into a T-Bone Suplex. Benjamin won the match, and when he asked for his title belt, Regal looked at it longingly for a few moments, before snapping out of it and handing it to the his friend. And Chavo Guerrero also tried to stand up to The Boogeyman this week, but it wasnt to be. After defeating Scotty 2 Hotty in the evenings opening match, Chavo Guerrero called out The Boogeyman, who obliged. Chavo stood his ground for a few moments, but as the resident horror approached him, he hightailed it. Chavo wont have that option, come sunday!

Smackdown! Rating

We got a 5.82 which we arent thrilled with. Hopefully this sunday's Judgement Day will push the ratings back above 6.

Smackdown! Lookback

Batista came to Smackdown! this week, adament that if it was his last Smackdown! as champions, then he was gonna go out with a bang. After telling JBL that he was gonna bring Mark Henry and Booker T to hell with him this sunday, Batista backed every word up. He assaulted Mark Henry backstage and barricaded him in the locker room, making Booker T a sitting duck during his match with Benoit. After stealing a win over the Rabid Wolverine, Booker T was leaving when Batista walked out. Booker soon realised Henry wasnt there to help, and Benoit shoved Booker towards the champion, who gave him a stunning Spinebuster right on the steel ramp. Batista said he maybe going down this sunday, but he is going down fighting!

Speaking of Chris Benoit, this sunday he faces Edge in a war that has been raging for weeks now on Smackdown!. This week, via video, Edge sent a message to Benoit, challenging him to agree to make the match up a No Holds Barred affair. As if Benoit needed to answer, he duely accepted it, and then said this sunday, will be Edge's Judgement Day.....and Benoit is the executioner. These 2 have ripped each other apart over the past 2 months.....imagine what will happen when they meet this sunday, with no rules!

Gregory Helms has always been over cocky, but maybe.....just maybe he has bitten off more than he can chew this time. He sat from the announcers table and watched, as the challenger for his Cruiserweight Championship this sunday, Super Crazy defeated his tag partner, Shannon Moore. As Helms went for a sneak attack on Crazy, the WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London and Brain Kendrick, who Helms also challenges this sunday, raced out to make the save. Gregory Helms has his work cut out for him.....but has the oppurtunity to walk out of Judgement Day with TWO title belts.

Rob Van Dam said next week, he and Masters will finally end their war in an ECW Rules match. To warm up this week, Chris Masters defeated Tommy Dreamer with the Masterlock. Jeff Hardy beat Sabu one last time to retain the 'ECW' Intercontinental Championship, and then was shockingly attacked by Matt Hardy. CM Punk beat Test, when Gene Snitsky distracted him.

WWE Smackdown! Superstar Of The Week

Booker T

He may of ended Smackdown! with a crushing Spinebuster from the ramp by Batista, but there is no denying that Booker T has some serious momentum heading into Judgement Day. His win over Benoit may just give him that extra bit of confidence he needs to regain his championship.

WWE Judgement Day

Sunday 20th May 2007

Sunday 20th May 2007, WWE Smackdown! presents WWE Judgement Day, LIVE on Pay Per View. This event has certainly lived up to its name in the past, and last year was no different, when Rey Mysterio defended his World Heavyweight Championship against now Smackdown! GM, JBL, The Undertaker faced The Great Khali, and Booker T became 'King' Booker after winning the 'King of the Ring tournament'. This event has also had matches such as The Rock vs HHH Iron Man Match, The Undertaker defeating Hulk Hogan for the Undisputed Championship and who can forget the grueling Hell in a Cell match between Triple H and Chris Jericho. And this time around, it looks like this will be the biggest Judgement Day ever.

match8.jpg

Brian Kendrick and Paul London have been the WWE Tag Team Champions for 364 days now, winning the belts at Judgement Day last year on May 21st. Well this time they will defend their titles against Gregory Helms, and his partner, Shannon Moore. Helms started this war when he attacked Brian Kendrick for no reason after a succesful title defence, claiming he needed more gold to satisfy his appetite. After defeating Brian Kendrick and Paul London, thanks to the help from his chosen partner, Helms selected this night to take his shot at the titles, even though he must defend his WWE Cruiserweight Championship later on in the night. But Helms bosts a 16 month reign as Cruiserweight Champion, and said that a star as big as him can pull it off. Can he? Can Gregory Helms add a WWE Tag Team Title reign to his already impressive resume? Or will the Champions make it past the year mark as the most dominant team in the WWE?

match7.jpg

Since coming to Smackdown!, Matt Striker has hardly been the most popular guy. After being humiliated by Kane in his Smackdown! debut, Striker even tried to weasel his way to GM, only to have Vince McMahon place him in a match with Chris Benoit. Following that defeat, Striker claimed he would call out Smackdown!'s number one.....announcer that is. After defeating Funaki, an arrogant Striker bumped into Jamie Noble backstage, and rudely told the Texan to move. Noble took exception, and the following week, raced to Ric Flairs aid during the Nature Boy's match with Striker. Noble asked for this match up, and last week on Smackdown! proved his worth by pinning Matt Striker during a tag team match. Will Lightening strike twice for Noble? Or will Matt Striker teach the loose cannon a lesson?

match6.jpg

Gregory Helms has beaten every single challenger for his WWE Cruiserweight Championship since the Royal Rumble 06. But since coming to Smackdown!, Super Crazy has made a big impact. After shockingly beating Ken Kennedy on his Smackdown! return, Crazy engaged in a mini-war with the 'Voice of Smackdown!'. And although he came out second best, Crazy's reputation certainly grew from it. And Crazy then outlasted 3 other men in Psicosis, Jimmy Yang and Chavo Guerrero to secure a title shot against the dominant champ. Helms didnt seem to interested, more concerned about claiming Tag Team Gold, but he finally noticed last week when Super Crazy defeated Shannon Moore in one on one action. Helms tried to attack Crazy, but the WWE Tag Team Champions came to the Luchadore's aid. Will Helms's reign over the Cruiserweight Division continue, or will Super Crazy manage to do what no one has been able to in 16 months?

match5.jpg

After Wrestlemania 23, Chavo Guerrero told the world that he was ready to move on from his late uncle, Eddie Guerrero's passing, and move on. But what he was moving on to.....not even we could believe. For weeks, Chavo was the subject of flickering and red lights, during his interviews and matches. When it looked like nothing more than a cruel prank, Chavo sipped his bottle during an interview.....and spat it out.....it was worms! Since then, The Boogeyman has made it very clear.....he is coming for Chavo Guerrero, even showering the Smackdown! rampway with worms to scare the cocky cruiserweight. Chavo has adamently stated that he is not afraid of The Boogeyman......but he hasnt convinced anyone. And at Judgement Day, Chavo will have to prove it, when he faces his fears.....when he faces The Boogeyman!

match4.jpg

When Shelton Benjamin came to Smackdown!, everyone was hoping this youngster would start realising his seemingly limitless potential. And it seems that he has. On his very first night, Shelton Benjamin captured the WWE United States Championship from Chris Benoit in a thrilling match. The following week, William Regal offered his managerial abilities to the youngster, who declined. After succesfully defending the belt against Vito, Regal entered the ring and raised his arm in victory, and since then, the 2 have become great friends. So much so that Regal even took a shot to the face with the US Title belt from Edge to protect his protege. As their friendship blossomed, Smackdown! GM, JBL wanted to test their friendship, by declaring this match up. Friendship is hard to come by in the WWE, so how thick is Benjamin's and Regal's? Or will the idea of being WWE United States Champion overtake both men?

match3.jpg

At Wrestlemania 23, Ric Flair lost a Loser Leaves RAW match to Carlito, and went into wrestling exile. That was ofcourse until JBL, as one of his first acts as Smackdown! GM, signed Ric Flair to a Smackdown! contract. Flair made his debut, and he refereed the match between Ken Kennedy and Super Crazy, not knowing what awaited him. Since losing to HBK at Mania, Kennedy has been on a mean streak, and he wanted to make his name again.....at the expense of the Nature Boy. Since then, these 2 have been going at it whenever they can, with Kennedy smashing Flair's head with his trademark microphone, and hammering the Nature Boy with a steel chair. Ric Flair says he is still the man.....will he prove it at Judgement Day? Or will Kennedy do what he promised he would.....beat the man himself!

match2.jpg

When Edge came to Smackdown!, he demanded a title shot. All he got was an agitated Benoit, telling Edge to earn his stripes. Edge's response.....costing Benoit the WWE United States Championship. Since then, these 2 have raged a war through Smackdown!, which has seen Benoit even go as far as to attack Edge in the car park as he went looking for revenge. And after Edge cost Chris Benoit his rematch for the his beloved WWE United States Championship, Benoit decided enough was enough.....he wanted Edge at Judgement Day. Edge refused to accept, and then caught 'The Rabid Wolverine' off guard with a spear. And this past week on Smackdown!, Edge challenged Benoit to make this match a No Holds Barred Match, which Benoit duely accepted. Will Edge prove he is Rated R by dismantling Benoit in this hellacious match up? Or will Benoit stay true to his word.....and become Edge's executioner?

match1.jpg

In January 06, Mark Henry injured Batista, causing him to relinquish his World Heavyweight Championship. When Batista returned, he returned the favour by putting Mark Henry out for 9 months. Henry shocked the world at Wrestlemania 23, by assaulting the champion after he succesfully defended the title against Booker T. Since then, Batista has faced insumountable odds, and his past has come back to haunt him. Not forgetting their brutal wars in the past, Smackdown! GM, JBL booked Batista into this handicap match up, where he claims that Batista will be taken to hell. And with what we have witnessed over the past 2 months.....he may be right! Booker T and Mark Henry have forged an alliance that they are hoping gives them what they both want.....Booker the World Heavyweight Champion, and Henry gets to destroy Batista. They have battered and beaten the champion time after time, but Batista has shown that he wont back down. And this past week on Smackdown!, Batista said that if he is going to hell, he is taking them both with him. The odd's are firmly stacked against the World Heavyweight Champion......is this the end of Batista.....is this his.....JUDGEMENT DAY!!

First of all to say you've got a nice little diary going here. Second a friendly word of warning; quit with the polls. Why? Because its not much different to asking for feedback (which is frowned upon and probably against the rules) and its clear no one wants to oblige anyway. Forget it, its not going to make your diary any better.. its good how it is. And its good because of the shows and the booking. Leave it at that.

Right prediction time. First of all your card is very impressive. JD has a history of being a bog standard PPV in real life, nothing much to it. Not only have you got a card full of great matches, but they've all been built up well, so everything makes sense from a booking point of view.

WWE Tag Team Championship - Brian Kendrick and Paul London © vs Helms and Moore

-I made this pick because despite their history, Helms and Moore with current gimmicks just don't fit, Kendrick and London are still the best thing in the tag division right now, and you need to capitalise by having them retain. Also i'd love some dissention between the challengers as a Cruiser rivalry between them should produce some good matches. Plus Moore's current gimmick should make for an interesting addition to the Cruiserweight divison.

Jamie Noble vs Matt Striker

- While I'd much prefer Noble to win as personally I don't think Striker is all that great, I have a gut feeling Striker will go over.. mainly because of the fact you've involved him in a few high profile angles so far already.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship - Gregory Helms vs Super Crazy

-I'm all for a Super Crazy push, but see tag title match predictions for more on why I think Helms will retain.

The Boogeyman vs Chavo Guerrero

- Chavo is the kind of guy who can get his heat back no matter what, so a loss shouldn't really be a problem. If your planning on keeping Boogey for a while, a win is always good. And if your planning on axing him, then I don't think Chavo is believable as the one to get rid of him.

WWE United States Championship - William Regal vs Shelton Benjamin ©

- I've gone with Regal for a few reasons. A clean win could 'test' their friendship. An underhanded win could lead to a full blown rivalry, but either way its going to be one hell of a match.

Ken Kennedy vs Ric Flair

- As the rising star and a man who should be world champion sooner rather than later, Kennedy's gotta get the win here. Shame Flair has spent the last few years basically putting over new guys. At least Kennedys been around a while now... hope to see Ric get a run at the top though sometime soon.

No Holds Barred Match - Edge vs Chris Benoit

- Glad to see Benoit nearer to the main event, but I see Edge going over in what should be an awesome match to be in a prime position to challenge Batista for the gold later on.

World Heavyweight Championship - Batista © vs King Booker and Mark Henry

-With what I said on the last match I'll just add that handicap match... face must win. Basically thats it.

Keep it up and I hope the PPV is good.
