I'm trying to build up a nice collection of songs for my Ipod. Wondering if you guys have any websites (rap, hip-hop) where I can listen to new songs coming out. Also any reccomendations of any young artists that I might not have heard before would also help a lot. Thanks fellas.

I just go through CDNow and preview tracks of artists. Not sure how that is for soon to be released though.

if you want cutting edge new, try pitchfork they're supposed to be a good barometer of up and coming

wikipedia article on their credentials

freeindie.com can have some decent stuff as well, with free mp3 downloads...

I'm not really a huge music buff, so that's my recommendations exhausted...

I also use Byron Crawford's review site as a guide for when a new hip-hip album is released. Just as a guide though, since he seems to be negative about almost every album he reviews.
