The Sims 2

If you mean do the sims already have them, such as townies. They may have jobs on their own (you can ask them) but they won't be married. However they may have varying amount of friends.

However if you mean just a house of say three people and you leave it on it's own, they won't read the paper to get jobs nor will they get married. They will just do whatever they need to keep their needs relatively okay (toilet, talk, eat, watch TV, paint) but they won't get a job without being prompted and they won't marry another sim without you prompting them too.

I moved to Strangetown, as Pleasantview Uni can drag.

NIGMOS/SPECTER

Olive did really well for me until she died but now because of Freetime, she got a white gravestone with a gold Fortune aspiration logo on it for achieving a platinum bar (I think), so her grave stands out, which makes me glad. Ophelia grew up in to an adult and aged one of her friends too. I also adopted a cat, Kobe, with Olive but it didn't get on well with Ophelia so it ran away when Olive died.

So Cadence was promoted to Celebrity Chef, top of the chain in terms of the culinary career. Making around $2,000 for the three days a week she works, however she's just become pregnant having agreed to marry with Warren. It all seemed a bit unlikely when the coupled moved in together and most of Autumn was spent by Cadence reading cooking and cleaning books, while honing her creativity skill on the easel. However once she hit the top of the chain, her and Warren became close again and Warren proposed.

I think she's pregnant anyways, I may not have done it yet. They'll wed soon though now that they're well in the money. Odd note about that house, they temporarily opened a hair salon business, well Warren did, but after two makeovers he decided that he didn't like the people hanging around his house and shut it down promptly. Concentrating on his job as a nurse.

So with lot's of money coming in for the McCarthy/Bertino duo and spring arriving, it was time to make way to another part of town. Broke/Geike. Upon loading the house I was welcomed by dirty plates on the two person table, old bottles on the floor, dirty sink, over and countertop. A dirty, broken bath/shower spraying water everywhere, a dirty clogged toilet and a used potty. Brandi, being pregnant with her fourth child found herself in desperate need of sleep and food at the same time, but managed to sort it out. Most of the day later.

A clean bathroom, everything sorted. A clean kitchen. A new baby boy (a boy, how unlikely ¬_¬) called Kaden Geike. Chester and Beau cleaned most of the day, but with David and Kaden making a mess (David being a todder and Kaden a baby - obviously) it's not going easy. Especially since the same day Brandi fell pregnant with her fifth child and Chester's second. Can they all keep up? Will the masculinity in the house (although I'm convinced Chester is actually gay, and Beau and David both look like they'll swing that way ¬_¬) be overwhelming for Brandi?

Seriously. It's one fucked up house. Half the house has no carpets >_>

The only reason my Brandi is doing okay is because she paired up with my own sim, and got his cash. I've never really had to use the Broke household, though I did move Cyd Roseland in there for "Season 2" of Pleasantview.

They got a bit of money when Chester moves in, but I expanded the house with three more rooms - 2 bedrooms and kinda like a hallway thing. Plus they know have a fully functioning more than one person couch (..2 person couch in a 5 person house :))

Not much else has changed though. Really is a dive of a house, scummy family too - not much else can be done I guess, so she'll keep popping out kids. Why should all families live in a Utopia world with good jobs, A+ kids and a flash car. No, they should always be some scum in the world ¬_¬

If you have OFB and you eat cheesecake when your Sim is pregnant you can have twins. Not sure if adoption counts because it's not the kid you had.

One of my sims died when she was stepping out of the bathtub, she was pregnant and I'm sure she wasn't hungery because I checked on her stats before she got in their.

I hate it when sims drop dead.

One of my sims' life aspiration is to marry off 6 kids. Do adopted kids count for this? Or is there a cheat to get them to have twins (so as to speed up the process)?

Kaden grew into a toddler, David into a child and Beau is a day away from teenage-ness, and that's the day the next Geike will be born aswell. So many birthdays ¬_¬

Kaden is one ugly fucker, annoyed I used one of my listed names on someone who turned out to wear a blue suit as a toddler and has a giant forehead and just an all-round weird face, will get a picture of the ugly mofo up in a bit if I can be bothered. Will more than likely be tomorrow.

Still, Geike/Broke family is fun :)

Do you guys use any of the cheats? Where can I find some mods for the game (like the "risky woo hoo" where even if you're not trying for a baby you might get one). And as for the cheesecake bit, is that under the desserts section of the fridge?

I highly recommend the imsiminator as it is amazing.. anything i need to do i can do quite easily even though I only use it to turn on autopay bills and to change clothes, sometimes though I use it to increase motives incase they become an emergency but that is very very rare.

PLEASANTVIEW RETIREMENT HOME

Bender keeps maxing out his skills when he is not taking care of the old people needs. He only has to gain a point in logic and then he's at least got a start in all the skills. Dina has been busy gardening and has obtained a Silver badge for it as well as a membership card to Peerless Park. Daniel bought Woodland Cemetry and decided to turn it in to a business so I set up a small booth where the little benched area previously was. I hired Ron Leelaporn to do my sales and someone else to work the register. All the trees in the park are avaliable to buy and then there are some plants on display in the actual booth. A few days after getting his business started he returned home and died of old age (First one I've had since Mortimer in Pleasantview) so that was quite nice. The deed for Woodland Cemetry passed down to Bender, so when his skills are all maxed out I'll go and start earning him some Sales & Restocking badges. Dina is still married to Malcolm Landgraab IV, but has struck up an affair with Bender whilst at the Retirement Home. I think when I start season two, a fair few more will go in to the home, including Darren Dreamer.

BROKE/GEIKE

Brandi & Chester Geike and their children Beau & David Broke and Kaden & Lani Geike. So Brandi finally got her girl, and I think I'm going to leave them at five children because anymore and I will kill people in fits of rage. Chester can't seem to get promoted from his job as a Lab Assistant and is working 4-10 every weekday, however Brandi has about enough accumulate vacation days to see her out into retirement - as a dishwasher, congratulations to her.

I'm quite pleased because last time I had a good game going with this family, Brandi ended up quite well off. Her and her three son's move house earlier on into a nice new house, Beau left as an adult and I didn't play him. Dustin became a business tycoon and the third son married Andrea Hogan as I recall. So I'm happy at this time the family is still in chaos and I've played it differently, and that's the beauty of the game.

Brandi essentially has children sliding out, married someone - Chester Geike in this instance - which was essentially a case of them living next to each other and me not wanting to play them as two separate houses. Beau is a teenager, and I will send him off to university as by the time I get back to playing that house - I will have that expansion pack which should arrive in the unreliable post any day now depending how long it takes amazon.
