So I finally got a new PC, and I would like to revisit the only series of games I ever really cared about..

What's the latest C&C game? Any good?

Command & Conquer 3 was just released a few months back, although I've not played it so can't tell you if it's any good. I've heard it's just above average and par-for-the-course in terms of a C&C game though. There's presumably a demo knocking around you can try out.

They're selling a boxed set with every Command & Conquer game on it bar C & C 3, you might want to look into buying that if you want your money's worth of the series (Y)

C&C 3 is a alright game but Red alert 2 is the best.

I've got C&C3 on the 360 and it's pretty good, although the missions fuck me off. It fucks me off because it has main objectives and bonus objectives, and if you miss out / forget about a bonus objective (such as use an engineer to take over an enemy building) then you don't get awarded the ribbon for completing the mission. This is fucking annoying when I realise that I have to redo the mission from scratch, for some vague and generally lame reason. Skirmish is still awesome though.

Aaah, Red alert 2. That brings back so many memories. It's the only one in the series I really played, and apparently the best one. The new ones are too...... modern, and different. RA2 is a classic.

From what I've heard, Generals wasn't all that great.

I still prefer RA1 over RA2, as well.

C&C3 is a very good game, although it did take some warming up to. RA1 was a lot simpler and easier to navigate. Though that may be in part due to the controls on a console seeming alien to me, which wouldn't be a problem with a PC.

Werd. StarCraft was the only game that got me to go to the place down the street from where I used to live that had networks set up. I sucked at it, but that game rocked.
